평균이동 분할계산기법을 사용한 역 컬러라이제이션 기반의 컬러영상압축 (Color Image Compression based on Inverse Colorization with Meanshift Subdivision Calculation)

  • 본 레터논문에서는 컬러라이제이션(Colorization)기반 영상압축방법을 위해 평균이동기반의 영상분할법을 사용하여 컬러라이제이션 행렬을 분할하는 방법을 제안한다. 실험을 통해 제안한 방법을 사용할 경우 계산 속도는 대략 30배 이상 빨라지고, 기존의 역컬러라이제이션 기반의 압축방법에서 생기는 번짐(smearing) 현상도 많이 제거가 되는 것을 볼 수 있었다.

  • In this study, stereo vision system is applied to a mobile manipulator for effective tasks. The robot can recognize a target and compute the potion of the target using a stereo vision system. While a monocular vision system needs properties such as geometric shape of a target, a stereo vision system enables the robot to find the position of a target without additional information. Many algorithms have been studied and developed for an object recognition. However, most of these approaches have a disadvantage of the complexity of computations and they are inadequate for real-time visual servoing. Color information is useful for simple recognition in real-time visual servoing. This paper addresses object recognition using colors, stereo matching method to reduce its calculation time, recovery of 3D space and the visual servoing.

유리의 주파장과 자극 순도의 계산 정확도 향상 (Improvement of Calculation Accuracy of Dominant Wavelength and excitation Purity for Glass Product)

  • 본 연구는 유리 제품 색조 분석시 일반적으로 사용되는 주파장과 순도의 계산에 있어서 정확한 결과를 얻을 수 있는 방법을 제시하고자 하였다. 기존에 계산에 사용해 왔던 자와 확대된 색도 좌표도에 의한 방법 대신, 측정한 색도 좌표값이 무채색 자극치와 만드는 직선의 기울기와 단색광 자극치와 무채색 자극치가 나타내는 직선의 기울기 간의 상관관계를 이용하여 주파장 및 순도의 계산방법을 찾았다. 이를 실제 제품에 적용하였을 때, 기존 방법 보다 정확한 결과를 얻었다.

  • PC나 콘솔 기반의 게임들은 탁월한 하드웨어 지원에 힘입어 화려한 3D 효과와 이펙트 등을 보여주고 있지만, 다양한 핸드헬드 기기들과 컨버전스 기기 그리고 모바일 기기들은 상대적으로 가벼운 하드웨어 사양, 배터리 시간의 한계 때문에 계산양이 적은 가벼운 게임들을 선호하고 있다. 이러한 하드웨어 상의 게임 제작에 있어 최소한의 그래픽 퀄리티를 유지하는 것은 매우 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 인덱스 컬러(Indexed Color) 팔레트를 용량의 변화 없이 하드웨어 사양을 극복하여 발전시킬 수 있는 방법을 제안 한다.

Color Pure and Stable Blue Light Emitting Material Containing Anthracene and Fluorene for OLED

  • A new blue light emitting anthracene derivative, 9,10-bis-(9',9'-diethyl-7'-t-butyl-fluoren-2'-yl)anthracene (BETF), has been designed and synthesized by a palladium catalyzed Suzuki cross-coupling. A theoretical calculation of the three-dimensional structure of BETF supports that it has a non coplanar structure and inhibited intermolecular interactions resulting in high luminescent efficiency and high color purity. BETF has good thermal stability with glass-transition temperature (Tg) of $131^{\circ}C$. The PL maximum of BETF in solution and film were 438 nm and 440 nm, respectively, showing pure blue emission. A multilayer device using BETF as emitting material exhibits maximum luminescence efficiency of 2.2 cd/A and a pure blue emission (Commission Internationale de L'Eclairage (CIE) coordinates of x = 0.15, y = 0.10).

다양한 환경에 강인한 컬러기반 실시간 손 영역 검출 (Color-Based Real-Time Hand Region Detection with Robust Performance in Various Environments)

  • The smart product market is growing year by year and is being used in many areas. There are various ways of interacting with smart products and users by inputting voice recognition, touch and finger movements. It is most important to detect an accurate hand region as a whole step to recognize hand movement. In this paper, we propose a method to detect accurate hand region in real time in various environments. A conventional method of detecting a hand region includes a method using depth information of a multi-sensor camera, a method of detecting a hand through machine learning, and a method of detecting a hand region using a color model. Among these methods, a method using a multi-sensor camera or a method using a machine learning requires a large amount of calculation and a high-performance PC is essential. Many computations are not suitable for embedded systems, and high-end PCs increase or decrease the price of smart products. The algorithm proposed in this paper detects the hand region using the color model, corrects the problems of the existing hand detection algorithm, and detects the accurate hand region based on various experimental environments.

  • The main problem of image projection on a transmission type holographic screen is color sepa-ration. And it can be overcome by using a long narrow slit type diffuser as a source of the object beam when we record the screen. But that screen is not optimized and so needs changing several conditions. To set up the system many complicate things should be taken into accounted so it is very important to analyze the basic structure by simple concepts and calculations. We designed the system so that recording and projection axis coincide in one line and showed that the analysis of the system is very simple. We did it by a 1st order paraxial approximation calculation and it was good enough to describe the system. The photo-emulsion layer shrinks after processing of the hologram. It induced unsatisfactory color matching at the viewing zone. To overcome this effect, we pre-checked the shrinkage rate of an emulsion layer by experiments and modified the recording set up to compensate for the amount of shrinkage.

A Method for Identification of Harmful Video Images Using a 2-Dimensional Projection Map

  • This paper proposes a method for identification of harmful video images based on the degree of harmfulness in the video content. To extract harmful candidate frames from the video effectively, we used a video color extraction method applying a projection map. The procedure for identifying the harmful video has five steps, first, extract the I-frames from the video and map them onto projection map. Next, calculate the similarity and select the potentially harmful, then identify the harmful images by comparing the similarity measurement value. The method estimates similarity between the extracted frames and normative images using the critical value of the projection map. Based on our experimental test, we propose how the harmful candidate frames are extracted and compared with normative images. The various experimental data proved that the image identification method based on the 2-dimensional projection map is superior to using the color histogram technique in harmful image detection performance.

  • This paper describes a three dimensional motion recognition algorithm and a system which adopts the algorithm for non-contact human-computer interaction. From sequence of stereos images, five feature regions are extracted with simple color segmentation algorithm and then those are used for three dimensional locus calculation precess. However, the result is not so stable, noisy, that we introduce principal component analysis method to get more robust motion recognition results. This method can overcome the weakness of conventional algorithms since it directly uses three dimensional information motion recognition.

  • Image segmentation is very important technique as preprocessing. It is used for various applications such as object recognition, computer vision, object based image compression. In this paper, a method which segments the multidimensional image using a hierarchical histogram approach, is proposed. The hierarchical histogram approach is a method that decomposes the multi-dimensional situation into multi levels of 1 dimensional situations. It has the advantage of the rapid and easy calculation of the histogram, and at the same time because the histogram is applied at each level and not as a whole, it is possible to have more detailed partitioning of the situation.
