The influence of beauty makeups lips design on the impression formation (뷰티메이크업의 입술 디자인이 인상형성에 미치는 영향)

  • In this study, the impression formation according to the lip design of beauty makeup, preferred lips and its reasons have been empirically analyzed. The research method is a questionnaire survey using SPSS program. As a result of the study, it has been founded the significant influence of the color and shape of the lips on the impression formation, and the modern people's views on lip makeup could be identified. The most preferred lip color was red, and the preferred lip shape was the standard type. As a result of factor analysis, red color showed the highest capability factor, and pink color showed the highest sociability factor among lip colors. It hopefully is expected that this study will be utilized as basic data for beauty design.

  • Human face detection has many applications such as face recognition, face or facial feature tracking, pose estimation, and expression recognition. We present a new method for automatically segmentation and face detection in color images. Skin color alone is usually not sufficient to detect face, so we combine the color segmentation and shape analysis. The algorithm consists of two stages. First, skin color regions are segmented based on the chrominance component of the input image. Then regions with elliptical shape are selected as face hypotheses. They are certificated to searching for the facial features in their interior, Experimental results demonstrate successful detection over a wide variety of facial variations in scale, rotation, pose, lighting conditions.

Adjective Ordering: Contrastive Analysis and Interlanguage

  • This paper deals with contrastive analysis and interlanguage with respect to adjective ordering. It aimed to investigate how similar and different the orders of descriptive adjectives are in English and Korean, and how Korean EFL learners perceive the sequences of English descriptive adjectives. Data were collected from native English speakers and native Korean speakers and Korean EFL learners. The contrastive analysis showed that the order of English adjectives was size, opinion, condition, age, color, shape, material, and origin, whereas the Korean order was condition, age, opinion, color, size, shape, material, and origin. The relative order of the interlanguage was shown to be age, size, opinion, shape, condition, color, origin, and material, with the exceptions of the order of condition preceding age and that of size being the same position as condition. The interlanguage data manifested different aspects of ordering when compared with English and Korean: Some adjective combinations were similar to both English and Korean; Some were different from English or Korean; Some were different from both English and Korean. These ordering patterns are discussed in terms of such principles as the nouniness principle, the subjectivity/objectivity principle, the iconic principle, etc. On the basis of these results, some helpful suggestions are made.

  • This thesis, concerning Femme Fatale Images Costume Form in paintings viewed from DeLong's Theory, analyzed frequency and traits on the basis of DeLong's Form Observation Theory and drew out the result as followings. First, Costume Form was mostly open, whole, planer integration, rounded, and indeterminate. The styles were similar each other. Second, surface structure was expressed by line & shape, color, texture, and pattern of which color had the highest priority. Next, line & shape and texture had the priority in order. They were expressed through intereaction. Third, the traits of Costume Form were a similar color harmony or large light and darkness contrast+soft quality+interaction by ambiguous line & shape. So, Femme Fatale Image in paintings was expressed by soft and pure images and erotic images.

Game Sprite Generator Using a Multi Discriminator GAN

  • This paper proposes an image generation method using a Multi Discriminator Generative Adversarial Net (MDGAN) as a next generation 2D game sprite creation technique. The proposed GAN is an Autoencoder-based model that receives three areas of information-color, shape, and animation, and combines them into new images. This model consists of two encoders that extract color and shape from each image, and a decoder that takes all the values of each encoder and generates an animated image. We also suggest an image processing technique during the learning process to remove the noise of the generated images. The resulting images show that 2D sprites in games can be generated by independently learning the three image attributes of shape, color, and animation. The proposed system can increase the productivity of massive 2D image modification work during the game development process. The experimental results demonstrate that our MDGAN can be used for 2D image sprite generation and modification work with little manual cost.

  • This paper describes an image segmentation technique for the object-oriented coding at very low bit rates. By noting that, in the object-oriented coding technique, each objects are represented by 3 parameters, namely, shape, motion, and color informations, we propose a segmentation technique, in which the 3 parameters are fully exploited. To achieve this goal, starting with the color space conversion and the noise reduction, the input image is divided into many small regions by the K-menas algorithm on the O-K-S color space. Then, each regions are merged, according to the shape and motion information. In simultations, it is shown that the proposed technique segments the input image into relevant objects, according to the shape and motion as well as the colors. In addition, in order to evaluate the performance of the proposed technique, we introduce the notion of the interesting regions, and provide the results of encoding the image with emphasizing the interesting regions.

  • This study proposes a method to evaluate the level of 'soft-hard' of color quantitatively by evaluating the shape with edge sharpness automatically and by evaluating color in the color image scale in a drawing in art therapy using a computer. The dependent variable is the rank for the color experts to rate the level of 'soft-hard'. The mean and standard deviation of Value(V), and Chroma(C), colors, main color, clusters, length of edge, and sharp line rate of edge are considered as the independent variable. The appropriate independent variables to explain the dependent variable are selected through the step wise regression analysis. The inter-rater reliability of two raters is checked and the validity of developed system is verified by the rank correlations coefficient between the ranks of rater's and system's. This system can be used to evaluate of the shape or color in a drawing objectively and quantitatively for art therapy assessment, and to give the useful information to the fashion, textile, interior industry as well as color psychology and art therapy.

  • A study on image searching and management techniques is actively developed by user requirements for multimedia information that are existing as images, audios, texts data from various information processing devices. We had been studied an automatical shape region segmentation method using color. distribution and edge characteristics of moving images for. contents-base description. The Proposed method uses a color information quantized on human visual system and extracts overlapped regions to be matched by using edge characteristics of the image frame. The performance of the proposed method is represented by similarity for comparison to a segmented image and original image.

  • The purpose of this study is the real-time shape measurement of three-dimensional object by using color coded information. The paper relates to non-contact optical measurements of surface profiles or displacements, because of optical measurement systems are advantageous over using mechanical sensing, their relatively high speed and non-destructive capabilities. Therefore is particularly useful for three dimensional sensing which requires high horizontal and vertical resolution of measurements over a wide range thereof. Each a red, blue, green by using a inherence colors of hue value are good point.

  • 최근 멀티미디어 정보를 기술하기 위한 표준인 MPEG-7이 제안되어 이미지/동영상 검색 시스템과 같은 응용분야에서 사용되기 시작하였다. 그러나 MPEG-7 시각 정보 기술자들은 대부분 고차원으로 표현되고 기술자들이 가지는 각 속성들의 성질이 서로 동일하지 않기 때문에 기존의 인덱싱 방법으로는 효율적인 검색을 할 수 없다. 본 논문에서는 MPEG-7 시각 정보 기술자중에서 많이 사용되는 Dominant Color 기술자와 Contour Shape 기술자에 대한 새로운 인덱싱 알고리즘을 제안한다. Dominant Color 기술자에서 사용되는 비 교 연산 식 은 가우스 혼합 모델에 기초하고 있기 때문에, 기술자의 각 속성들을 하냐의 칼라 히스토그램 형태로 변형시켜서 인덱스로 사용한다. Contour Shape기술자는 2 단계 형태의 알고리즘을 사용한다. 각 단계는 글로벌 파라미터 속성과 비트맵 인덱스를 사용한 인덱싱이 적용된다. 제안된 인덱싱 방법을 사용했을 때 Dominant Color의 경우 90%의 정확도에 120배 이상의 속도 향상을 나타냈고, Contour Shape의 경우 82%의 정확도에 3배 이상의 속도 향상을 나타냈다.
