연어능력이 대학생들의 영어능숙도와 영작문 능력에 미치는 영향 (The effects of collocational competence on college students' English proficiency and writing abilities)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate knowledge and use of English collocations in their relation to Korean college students' general English proficiency and writing abilities. Participants in the present study were 203 Korean college students. Their knowledge and use of English collocations were measured by a self-designed collocation test and an essay writing test. The findings were as follows: First, there was a significant difference in students' knowledge of collocations according to their general English proficiency. Students' performance in the collocation test increased as their level of proficiency increased. Second, there was a significant difference in students' knowledge of collocations according to their writing abilities. Students showed better performance in the collocation test as their level of writing abilities increased. Third, there was a significant difference in students' use of collocations according to their writing abilities. Students' collocation use in the writing test increased as their level of writing abilities increased. Fourth, there was a strong relationship between the students' knowledge of collocations and their general English proficiency and between the students' use of collocations and their writing abilities. Pedagogical implications of the study and suggestions for further research were discussed on the basis of the research findings.

수직(垂直) 자연대류(自然對流)의 수동력학적(水動力學的) 안정성(安定性) 계산에 관한 수치해석(數値解析) 방법(方法) (Numerical Techniques in Calculation of Hydrodynamic Stability for Vertical Natural Convection Flows)

  • The hydrodynamic stability equations for natural convection flows adjacent to a vertical isothermal surface in cold or warm water (Boussinesq or non-Boussinesq situation for density relation), constitute a two-point-boundary-value (eigenvalue) problem, which was solved numerically using the simple shooting and the orthogonal collocation method. This is the first instance in which these stability equations have been solved using a computer code COLSYS, that is based on the orthogonal collocation method, designed to solve accurately two-point-boundary-value problem. Use of the orthogonal collocation method significantly reduces the error propagation which occurs in solving the initial value problem and avoids the inaccuracy of superposition of asymptotic solutions using the conventional technique of simple shooting.

  • This study refers to the methodology of study of usage patterns by dissolving the study of Korean auxiliary particle '만, 밖에, 뿐' and Chinese range adverb '只, 光, 僅', and uses the actual language data of Korean native speakers and Chinese native speakers Using the constructed corpus, we looked at the usage patterns of auxiliary particles '만, 밖에, 뿐' and range adverb '只, 光, 僅' respectively. In the Korean and Chinese corpora, the Korean auxiliary particle '만, 밖에, 뿐' and Chinese range adverb '只, 光, 僅' are each 300 sentences, and a total of 1800 are used as analytical corpus. through the analysis of the examples, the features and differences such as the appearance ratio of Korean and Chinese, appearance environment are revealed. the analysis results of Korean and Chinese are compared to find common points and differences.

Wave propagation in a nonlocal prestressed piezoelectric polygonal plate with non-homogeneity and hygroscopic effect

  • The humid thermal vibration characteristics of a nonhomogeneous thermopiezoelectric nonlocal plate of polygonal shape are addressed in the purview of generalized nonlocal thermoelasticity. The plate is initially stressed, and the three-dimensional linear elasticity equations are taken to form motion equations. The problem is solved using the Fourier expansion collocation method along the irregular boundary conditions. The numerical results of physical variables have been discussed for the triangle, square, pentagon, and hexagon shapes of the plates and are given as dispersion curves. The amplitude of non-dimensional frequencies is tabulated for the longitudinal and flexural symmetric modes of the thermopiezoelectric plate via moisture and thermal constants. Also, a comparison of numerical results is made with existing literature, and good agreement is reached.

A Framework for Semantic Interpretation of Noun Compounds Using Tratz Model and Binary Features

  • Semantic interpretation of the relationship between noun compound (NC) elements has been a challenging issue due to the lack of contextual information, the unbounded number of combinations, and the absence of a universally accepted system for the categorization. The current models require a huge corpus of data to extract contextual information, which limits their usage in many situations. In this paper, a new semantic relations interpreter for NCs based on novel lightweight binary features is proposed. Some of the binary features used are novel. In addition, the interpreter uses a new feature selection method. By developing these new features and techniques, the proposed method removes the need for any huge corpuses. Implementing this method using a modular and plugin-based framework, and by training it using the largest and the most current fine-grained data set, shows that the accuracy is better than that of previously reported upon methods that utilize large corpuses. This improvement in accuracy and the provision of superior efficiency is achieved not only by improving the old features with such techniques as semantic scattering and sense collocation, but also by using various novel features and classifier max entropy. That the accuracy of the max entropy classifier is higher compared to that of other classifiers, such as a support vector machine, a Na$\ddot{i}$ve Bayes, and a decision tree, is also shown.

최적화 기법을 이용한 초저고도 운용위성 연료량 분석 (Fuel Optimization for Low Earth Orbit Maintenance)

  • 지구관측 영상위성의 해상도는 위성에 장착된 광학카메라의 Field of View(FOV)와 위성의 임무고도에 의해 결정된다. 따라서 카메라의 FOV가 고정된 경우 해상도를 향상시키는 방법은 위성의 임무고도를 낮추는 것이다. 하지만 저고도일수록 대기저항에 의한 위성의 고도감소가 크게 나타나고 이를 보정하기 위해 많은 연료가 필요하게 된다. 이 연구에서는 초저고도에 있는 위성의 임무도 유지를 위하여 필요한 연료량 산출을 분석하고자 한다. 이를 위해 지구와 위성 간 2체 문제에 대기저항과 이를 보정하기 위만 주력을 고려하여 운동방정식을 세우고, Legendre-Gauss-Lobatto(LGL) points를 이용한 collocation method를 사용하였다. 지속적으로 임무고도를 유지하는 경우와 고도 상승하강 기동을 하여 임무고도를 대략 유지하는 경우에 대한 소모되는 연료량을 비하였다. 고도 상승하강 기동의 방법이 임무고도를 유지하기 위하여 더 적은 연료를 소모하였다. 고도 상승하강 기동방법을 이용할 때 고도상승의 주기 변화로 얻어지는 연료이득은 작고, 태양활동 시기나 위성의 임무고도변화는 연료 사용에 큰 영향을 끼치는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 여러 가지 조건에 대한 연료소모량을 구체적으로 제시하였다. 이 연구를 통해서 얻어진 알고리즘은 위성의 저고도 유지를 위한 연료량을 산정하는데 많은 도움이 될 것이며, 임무도 설정에 있어서도 원하는 해상도와 연료량을 고려하여 최상의 선택을 할 수 있는 자료를 제공할 수 있다.

AACR2에서 RDA로 목록규칙 변화에 따른 KCR4의 고려사항에 관한 연구 (A Study on Considerations in KCR4 through Changes of Cataloging Rules from AACR2 to RDA)

  • 본 연구는 AACR2와 이를 대체하는 새로운 목록규칙인 RDA의 규칙을 비교하여, RDA에 대한 이해를 높이고, 우리나라의 한국목록규칙에서 고려해야 할 사항을 파악하기 위한 것이다. RDA는 모든 유형의 자원을 서지제어할 수 있는 구조로 International Cataloging Principles(2009), FRBR, FRAD를 구현하기 위한 목록규칙이며, 국제적인 환경에 융통성 있게 적용가능하다. RDA는 웹환경에 맞는 시멘틱 웹으로 구현이 가능하도록 집중기능과 다양한 관계에 기반을 두고 있어 미래의 목록에 큰 영향을 줄 것이기 때문에 국내에서도 이를 반영하는 연구가 필요하다. 비교는 JSC for Development of RDA의 2008년 RDA 초안을 기반으로 저작, 표현형, 구현형의 기술규칙을 대상으로 분석하였다. 구현형에서는 표제, 자료유형, 책임사항, 판사항, 발행사항, 형태사항, 총서사항의 기술영역별로, 저작과 표현형에서는 저작 유형에 따른 채택접근점을 중심으로 RDA와 AACR2 규칙 중에서 변경된 사항을 중심으로 살펴보았다. 본 연구는 RDA에서 제시한 목록규칙을 바탕으로 앞으로 목록의 발전 방향을 파악할 수 있으며, 국내의 목록규칙 개정 시에도 많은 도움이 될 것이다.
