공과대학의 소양교육 개선 방안 연구 - 홍익대학교 과학기술대학을 중심으로 - (A Study on Improving the Quality of General Education at an Engineering College - Hongik University, College of Science and Technology -)

  • 본 논문은 지방에 소재하고 있는 지역 공과대학의 공학소양교육에 대해 개선 방안을 연구한 것이다. 교수, 재학생 및 졸업생을 대상으로 실시한 설문조사 결과와 기업의 요구사항을 분석하여 설정한 공학소양교육 개선 방안으로는 실용적 공학 인재 육성이라는 기본 개념 아래, 수요자 중심 교육, 산업 현장 적응력 제고, 문제 해결 능력 강화 및 공학 설계 능력 배양을 기본 방향으로 정립하였다. 이를 달성하기 위한 구체적인 실천 방안으로 수학, 과학, 전산 등 공학 기초교육 강화, 영어, 의사소통기술 등의 공학 실무교육 강화, 일반 교양과목 축소, 학생들의 능동적 수업 참여 및 학습 효율 제고 방안 제시, 논리적 사고력 및 창의력 배양을 위한 교육 강화 등 엔지니어 기본 자질 강화를 최우선 목표로 설정하였다. 이러한 교육 목표를 실현하기 위한 운영 방안으로, 저학년 학생들에 대한 학습 부담 경감, 선수과목 제도 도입, 계절학기 활용 강화, 강의 내용 및 방법 개선, 그리고 교육과정 운영에 대한 지원 방안을 모색하였다.

코로나19로 시행된 원격수업에 대한 2년제 대학생과 4년제 대학생의 만족도 차이 분석 (Analysis of Differences in Satisfaction with Remote Learning between Two-Year College Students and Four-Year University Students after the Outbreak of COVID-19)

  • 본 연구에서는 코로나19로 시행된 원격수업에 대한 2년제 대학생과 4년제 대학생의 만족도 차이를 분석하였다. 분석결과, 원격수업 유형별 만족도 차이에서는 첫째, 남학생이 여학생보다 대면과 비대면의 혼합형 강의에 대한 만족도가 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 모든 유형의 원격수업에 대한 만족도는 2년제 학생이 4년제 학생보다 높은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 학년에 따른 원격수업 유형별 만족도에서는 4년제에서 학년에 따른 원격수업 유형별 만족도 중 대면과 비대면의 혼합형 강의에서 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 다음으로 원격수업의 운영·내용·교수와의 상호작용·시험 등에 대한 만족도 차이를 분석한 결과, 2년제 학생이 4년제 학생보다 만족도가 높게 나타났다. 그리고 학년에 따른 원격수업의 만족도에서는 2년제와 4년제 모두 유의미한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 결과적으로 본 연구를 통해 대학유형에 따라 전반적으로 원격수업의 만족도는 유의미한 차이가 있는 것이 확인되었다. 즉 2년제 학생이 4년제 학생보다 원격수업에 대한 만족도가 높게 나타났다. 분석결과를 토대로 앞으로 원격수업의 효과를 높이기 위해서는 대학유형별 학습자의 특성을 반드시 고려하여 개발되어야 한다.

헤어미용 전공 대학생의 전공만족도가 미용전문직관에 미치는 영향 (Cosmetology Major The impact of college student satisfaction on the cosmetology profession)

  • 본 연구는 헤어 미용 전공 대학생의 전공만족도가 미용전문직관에 미치는 영향을 분석함으로써 헤어 미용 전공 대학생들의 전공만족과 전문직관의 관계를 알아보고자 하였다. 연구결과 헤어 미용 전공 대학생의 전공만족도와 미용전문직관 간에 정(+)의 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났고(p<0.001), 전공만족은 '전문성' t=4.625(p=.000), '직업인식' t=3.152(p=.002)로, 전공가치는 '전문성' t=2.330(p=.021), '전문활동' t=2.438(p=.015), '직업인식' t=4.843(p=.000)으로, 대학생활적응은 미용전문직관의 하위요인인 '전문활동' t=2.746(p=.006), '직업인식' t=4.303(p=.000)으로 나타나 헤어 미용 전공 대학생의 전공만족도는 미용전문직관에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 헤어 미용 전공 대학생에게 있어 전공만족은 대학 및 전공학과에 대한 만족뿐만 아니라 자기 자신에 대한 만족 및 헤어 미용 직무 자신감으로 이어져 긍정적인 영향으로 사회생활을 적응할 수 있게 해주며, 미용전문직관은 헤어 미용 직업에 대한 가치관과 태도로 미용 전공 대학생 때 전문직관이 생기게 된다. 연구결과를 통해 헤어 미용 전공 대학생들의 긍정적인 전문직관의 형성과 전공만족도를 높이고 올바른 이론과 실기교육을 통해 미용전문직관이 확립될 수 있도록 학생들의 자기계발과 더불어 교수 및 교육관계자들의 전문직업 윤리와 가치관에 관한 교육과 지속적인 지도가 필요하다고 사료된다.

Accuracy of posteroanterior cephalogram landmarks and measurements identification using a cascaded convolutional neural network algorithm: A multicenter study

  • Objective: To quantify the effects of midline-related landmark identification on midline deviation measurements in posteroanterior (PA) cephalograms using a cascaded convolutional neural network (CNN). Methods: A total of 2,903 PA cephalogram images obtained from 9 university hospitals were divided into training, internal validation, and test sets (n = 2,150, 376, and 377). As the gold standard, 2 orthodontic professors marked the bilateral landmarks, including the frontozygomatic suture point and latero-orbitale (LO), and the midline landmarks, including the crista galli, anterior nasal spine (ANS), upper dental midpoint (UDM), lower dental midpoint (LDM), and menton (Me). For the test, Examiner-1 and Examiner-2 (3-year and 1-year orthodontic residents) and the Cascaded-CNN models marked the landmarks. After point-to-point errors of landmark identification, the successful detection rate (SDR) and distance and direction of the midline landmark deviation from the midsagittal line (ANS-mid, UDM-mid, LDM-mid, and Me-mid) were measured, and statistical analysis was performed. Results: The cascaded-CNN algorithm showed a clinically acceptable level of point-to-point error (1.26 mm vs. 1.57 mm in Examiner-1 and 1.75 mm in Examiner-2). The average SDR within the 2 mm range was 83.2%, with high accuracy at the LO (right, 96.9%; left, 97.1%), and UDM (96.9%). The absolute measurement errors were less than 1 mm for ANS-mid, UDM-mid, and LDM-mid compared with the gold standard. Conclusions: The cascaded-CNN model may be considered an effective tool for the auto-identification of midline landmarks and quantification of midline deviation in PA cephalograms of adult patients, regardless of variations in the image acquisition method.

간호학생의 진로 및 취업의사결정 과정에 관한 연구 (Process of the Nursing Students Decision-making for Their Course and Job)

  • This study examines attitudes among nursing student, attitudes that give direction in life and effect the decision-making process when seeking employment. The exigency of which derives from the need to design a proper guidance program to assist students in their search for employment. Data was collected from a survey conducted between November 20 and November 25, 1995, the respondants of which were 120 nursing students without jobs. The data was analyzed by examining frequency, percentage, average, Chi-square, one-way ANOVA and t-test through an SPSS $PC^+$ program. The results of the study can be summarized as follows : 1) There are positive relationship between a student's academic major and employment(So responded 84.3% of the subjects with only 2.5% claiming that his major didn't matter). 2) Students believe that 'good jobs' are secured through aptitude. 'Good jobs' are seen as ones which develop an individuals abilities and which offer the opportunity for advancement. However they do not believe that 'good Jobs' contribute to society 3) Students have not been supplied the proper guidance and information necessary for finding employment. The student's life research institude, professor and assistants provide Insufficient information and counseling. Personal goals are decisive factors in determining what direction a student may take as well as the kind of employment he will seek. However, advice from parents, siblings, friends, alumni, professors, assistants and counselors is also considered. 4) Students do not think it reasonable to base their career decisions on one factor only(33.9% responded that aptitude and personal interests were the most important factor, and 14.9% that income was the key determinant). 5) Location and size of the hospital are important considerations when choosing a job. There is a preference for larger hospitals. 6) A lack of stability and few opportunities for advancement are perceived as the primary reasons for the possibility of leaving one's job.

SNS & Community 활용 반복학습에 대한 예비유아교사들의 효과성 검증 (Effectiveness Verification of Iterative Learning utilizing SNS & Community to Pre-kindergarten Teachers)

  • 예비유아교사에게 SNS와 Community를 활용한 반복학습을 수업에 적용하여 강의만족도, 자기효능감, 수업이해도에 대한 효과성을 검증하였다. 대학교육현장에서 이루어지고 있는 교수자 주도적 전통적인 오프라인 강의에 SNS & Community를 활용한 반복학습 모형은 선행조직자를 통한 혼자 생각해보기, 수업도입 시 발표를 통한 함께 생각해보기, 수업종료 후 커뮤니티 활동을 통한 생각나누기로 나누어 적용하였다. 교수자가 수업이전 SNS를 발송으로 반복학습이 시작되지만 이후 학습자 스스로 자기주도적인 학습활동을 진행하게 된다. 이에 강의에 대한 만족도 증대 및 교육학에 대한 이해도가 높아졌으며 자기효능감에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 이에 기초수학능력이 필요한 전문대학 학습자들에게 교수자들이 활용할 수 있는 SNS와 Community를 활용한 수업방법을 제시하고자 한다.

지역사회간호학 실습교육 현황 분석 (Analysis of Current Status of the Community Health Nursing Practice Education)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to provide basic evidence to improve community health nursing practice education by analyzing the current status of actual operation, program outcomes and evaluation methods, and the level of achieving learning goals. Methods: Data were collected through an e-mail survey from 155 professors teaching community health nursing in April 2016. Out of 45 responses in total, 42 cases were used for analysis (response rate 29.0%). Results: Community health nursing practice was a 3-credit course in most of the schools (66.7%) and included a practice at public health centers without exception. The most common diagnosis classification system was OMAHA (81.0%). The core fundamental nursing skills evaluated during the practice were subcutaneous injection, vital signs, oral administration, and intradermal injection. Among the subjects of community health nursing practice, the area with the highest potential for achieving learning goals was primary health care provision (4.4/5) and the area with the lowest potential was disaster management (2.4/5). Conclusion: The results of this study show that there would be active efforts to complement and improve several problems of the community health nursing practice among the community health nursing practice instructors for more effective and qualitative community health nursing practice.

국내 자락(사혈)요법 임상 실태 파악을 위한 면접조사 (An Interview Survey for Grasping Clinical Actual State of Bloodletting Therapeutics in Korea)

  • Objectives: Bloodletting therapeutics is one of the most popular oriental medical treatments in Korea. In this study, we operate the Interview Survey for grasping clinical actual state bloodletting therapeutics in Korea. Methods : Survey questions were developed based on consensus of acupuncture professors. The list of the Korean medical doctors with experiences more than 10 years is provided by the Association of the Korean Oriental Medicine. The interviews were conducted to 39 members of the Korean medical doctors who answered to used bloodletting therapeutics over 30 percentage a day at previous telephone survey. Interview survey with them were conducted by the well-trained interviewers of College of Korean Medicine student from 29th May 2006 to 3rd June 2006. Results : Korean medical doctors prefer to use the bloodletting cupping treatment(89.5%) on the bloodletting therapeutics. Musculo-skeletal disorder was as frequent as 89.5% of treatment disease. The most common treatment area was back(57.9%), extremity(l5.8%), pain area(l0.5%). The most common instrument for treating was disposable lancet(57.9%), three-edged needle(26.3%). Most Korean medical doctors(60.5%) took up the position that bring symptom relief following good treatment area. 'Recover quickly from illness'(50%) was one of bloodletting good points but 'Sever pain'(34.2%) was a weak points. Conclusion : This survey provides unique insight into the perception of the Korean medical doctors at bloodletting therapeutics. Most doctors experienced symptom relief, received positive benefits from the treatment. Future research needs to provide more in-depth insight into doctor views of the experience.

마켓 KU 프로젝트 (Market KU Project)

  • The current design paradigm shift which has been in progress around the world would be a good opportunity for Korea, which has led the age of information, to build design competence and gain international competitiveness. In addition, it would be a good idea for colleges as well as firms to develop a new educational system and create academia-industry-research synergy. This paper researches the market KU project promoted by Design Venture KU which has been established by the College of Artand Design of Konkuk University as a part of differentiation strategy. The methods to improve the competitiveness of Korean fashion design by uniting college creativity and market practicality are as follows: First, for convergence of creativity and practicality, it is necessary to come up with a systematic design-based educational system. In other words, the undergraduate program needs to gradually expand courses by focusing on creativity instead of functions while the graduate program should be able to develop design pattern, textile and marketing products and secure the market to gain competitiveness as a business incubator. Second, the working-level engineers as well as professors will be encouraged to participate in special lectures or seminars and take necessary lessons. In addition, academia-industry cooperation courses will be further strengthened. It is also important to actively participate in an official contest or exhibition and receive a prize. Third, to elicit creativity from students, it is necessary to help them think in a flexible and experimental way with voluntary and interesting programs. As mentioned above, it is expected that 'Market KU Project' would help students build expertise by offering them a chance to experience the real world and become the world's leading designers in Korean fashion design.

4년제 간호교육기관의 기초간호학 4개 교과목(인체 구조와 기능, 병원미생물학, 병태생리학, 약물의 기전과 효과) 운영 현황 (Survey of Curriculum for 4 Subjects (Structure and Function of Human Body, Clinical Microbiology, Pathophysiology, & Mechanism and Effect of Drugs) of Biological Nursing in Undergraduate Nursing Education)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to review the curriculum on biological nursing: structure and function of the human body, clinical microbiology, pathophysiology, and function and effect of drugs. Methods: Data was collected by searching and reviewing internet websites of 102 nursing schools or universities which provide 4 years nursing education in the Republic of Korea. The 74 curriculum on biological nursing science were available and analyzed by title, credits, hours, types of major (core or selective), offering semester, and laboratory practice. Results: The titles of 4 courses were diverse and were offered as core major (core requisites) or selective major. Structure and function of human body was offered in priority with more credits. Laboratory practice was poorly established in most courses. Biological nursing science courses were mostly taught in the second semester of the first year and the first or second semester of second year nursing education courses. Conclusion: There is a need to standardize the curriculum on biological nursing science and to expand the use of titles proposed by academic society. Also further research is necessary to identify curriculum details and to reflect the needs of professors.
