Due to the rapid growth of publications, librarians have been facing the problems caused by the shortage of stack as well as the quality deterioration of library collections. This naturally disappointed the user communities and the present library activities are weak and inadequate. It seems to the author that one of the desirable actions in remedying this problems is to weed library collections properly and regulraly. The purpose of this study is to establish weeding criteria in library collections, particulary in the fields of polictical science, economics and law In order to establish weeding criteria, shelf-time period which is the length of time that a book remains on the shelf between the last two users of a volume, was measured by examining the book cards or date-due slips of circulating books and collections which remained in the stack. The results of this study are as follows: (1) In the fields of political science economics and law, the shelf-time periods of general materials in Korean for circulation was measured. (2) This study shows shelf-time periods that vary in different subject fields. (3) Combining the shelf-time periods of books in active circulation and the total collection including books which have never been circulated, the size of library holdings which may satisfy a certain percentage of the current circulation can be estimated.

The small GTPase RhoA has been studied extensively for its role in actin dynamics. In this study, multiple bioinformatics tools were applied cooperatively to the microarray dataset GSE64714 to explore previously unidentified functions of RhoA. Comparative gene expression analysis revealed 545 differentially expressed genes in RhoA-null cells versus controls. Gene set enrichment analysis (GSEA) was conducted with three gene set collections: (1) the hallmark, (2) the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway, and (3) the Gene Ontology Biological Process. GSEA results showed that RhoA is related strongly to diverse pathways: cell cycle/growth, DNA repair, metabolism, keratinization, response to fungus, and vesicular transport. These functions were verified by heatmap analysis, KEGG pathway diagramming, and direct acyclic graphing. The use of multiple gene set collections restricted the leakage of information extracted. However, gene sets from individual collections are heterogenous in gene element composition, number, and the contextual meaning embraced in names. Indeed, there was a limit to deriving functions with high accuracy and reliability simply from gene set names. The comparison of multiple gene set collections showed that although the gene sets had similar names, the gene elements were extremely heterogeneous. Thus, the type of collection chosen and the analytical context influence the interpretation of GSEA results. Nonetheless, the analyses of multiple collections made it possible to derive robust and consistent function identifications. This study confirmed several well-described roles of RhoA and revealed less explored functions, suggesting future research directions.

A database system for retrieving the information on wood collections was developed using the D-BASE III Plus program for personal computers. Basic information of biological, physical, chemical and technological properties was added to the data which used to be employed in simple card systems, such as identification number, species name and collection site. All information was fast and reliably retrievable. This paper also discussed the results of a survey on wood collections housed at domestic colleges and research institutes.

오늘날 사회의 제반현상들은 각 분야별로 각각의 트렌드가 있으나 복식의 변화와 관련된 패션 트렌드가 모든 트렌드를 주도적으로 이끌어가고 있다. 패션 컬렉션은 패션 트렌드와 관련하여 전반적인 경향과 특성을 살펴볼 수 있는데 파리, 밀라노, 뉴욕, 런던 컬렉션은 세계 4대 컬렉션으로 불리며 최신 유행을 창출하고 있다. 이러한 트렌드를 가장 빠르게 전해주는 패션 디자이너들의 컬렉션은 의상과 더불어 메이크업과 헤어, 액세서리 등의 전반적인 요소들을 보여준다. 패션 컬렉션에서 연출되는 메이크업은 디자인이나 색채뿐만 아닌 발상 자체에서부터 다양한 이미지가 시도되는 자리로 이를 중심으로 매 시즌의 새로운 메이크업 트렌드가 완성된다. 따라서 본 연구는 2008${\sim}$2009 F/W 패션 컬렉션의 메이크업 경향을 분석하고, 분석된 메이크업 경향이 각 화장품 브랜드의 새로운 트렌드에 미친 영향을 알아보고자 한다.

본 연구는 전문대학의 직업교육 분야와 밀접하게 연관된 취업관련자료를 효율적으로 관리하고 활용하기 위한 방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 문헌조사, 전화인터뷰 조사, 설문지 조사를 통해 자료 수집을 하였으며 이를 분석한 결과를 토대로 취업관련자료의 효율적인 활용방안을 도출하였다. 자료의 효과적인 관리 및 자료구입예산의 효율화를 위해 도서관이 주도적으로 취업관련자료 업무를 담당하되, 자료의 비치 관리는 학생의 접근성과 이용 편리성, 활용성을 고려해 도서관과 취업부서가 연계하여 공동으로 서비스를 수행하는 것이 가장 바람직하다는 결론을 얻었다. 또한 취업관련자료의 개발을 도모하기 위해 도서관은 전문대학의 교육목적과 특성을 고려한 전공계열별 공통 기초전공자료의 개발, 전공관련 자격증과 연계되는 핵심 취업전공자료 개발, 직업실무중심자료 집중 확보 등의 방안을 강구해야 할 것이다.

충북, 경남, 전남으로부터 배향초 종자를 수집하여 수원에서 재배하면서 수집종간 정유와 estragol 생산량을 비교한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 지상부 건물중을 기준으로 생육정도를 비교한 결과, 가령산종과 순천종은 초기 생육이 좋았으며 목포종과 진도종은 개화 후 생육이 좋았다. 반면 담양종은 수집종 중에서 건물중이 가장 가벼웠다. 2. 대체적으로 estragol 함량은 각각 잎 $82.3{\sim}89.1%$, 화기 $81.1{\sim}89.2%$, 줄기 $72.0{\sim}45.6%$였으며, 수집종간에 큰 차이는 없었고, 개화성기에 가장 높은 함량을 보였다. 3. 정유함량은 개화성기에 1.0% (잎 1.0%, 화기 2.1%, 줄기 0.5%)로 수확시기 중 가장 높았으며, 특히 개화성기에 수확한 목포종의 화기는 3.3%의 정유함량을 보여 가장 많은 함량을 보였다. 4. 건물중과 정유함량이 좋았던 개화성기에 가장 많은 정유와 estragol이 생성되었으며, 수집종중에서는 목포종과 진도종에서 가장 많이 생성되었다.

홍화 수집종의 RAPD 분석을 통한 유전적 다양성 및 유연관계를 밝히고 품종군을 분류하여 품종육성의 기초자료로 활용코자 시험한 결과는 아래와 같다. RAPD 분석에 적용한 37개의 Primer 중 25개의 적정 primer를 선발하였고, 증폭원 PCR산물은 $0.1{\sim}4.0kb$에서 재현성있는 band를 보였으며 각 primer에 의해 증폭된 band의 수는 $1{\sim}9$개로 다양하였고 평균 4.8개였다. PCR 반응에 사용된 25개의 primer에서 120개의 band가 관찰되었으며 다형성을 보이는 band될 수는 23개(19.2%)였다. RAPD-PCR에 의해 얻어진 dendrogram에서 유연계수 0.042를 기준으로 합을 했을 때 6개 군으로 분류되었고 II군과 III군은 각각 12종(38%)씩 속하였다.

The purposes of this study are to find the values of playful design by exploring what forms of playful expressions and characteristics appear in the haute couture collections that feature "high culture" other than street fashion or popular fashion and to help expand the scope to include newer and more creative design ideas. Concerning theoretical background, the study reviewed the literature to understand the concept of playfulness and see what types of playfulness there are and how it is expressed. Based on the results, the study examined the features of playfulness by analyzing the works of haute couture collections which since 2000. The results can be summarized as follows: First, designers in the haute couture collections constructed their own identities by expressing their instinctive desire for playfulness through graffiti such as cartoons or scribbles and delivering direct and specific messages or ambiguous and symbolic meanings through such things. Second, the haute couture collections revealed the human body in a transformed or distorted shape through deformation of clothes or accessories presented brand-new dressing styles by breaking away from the past ways of dressing; and expressed playfulness intentionally with distorted materials. Third, is the "depaysement" technique. This collage technique selects all possible objects going beyond inartistic routine matters or boundaries of which we are aware and changes their positions and purposes of use to express the playfulness of "harmony in disharmony." Fourth, the haute couture collections created a feeling of playfulness by featuring parodies of retro elements, a slice of popular culture, or a variety of painting styles. Finally, like using dolls or toys as accessories or making direct use of parts of clothes, combinations between attributes given by the images of those accessories themselves and creativities found in haute couture dresses are just as fun of authoritarian bias in favor of prestigiousness.

The purpose of this study is to analyze Alexander Wang's collections representing the athleisure look, and suggest a multilateral direction for fashion design based on the data. The present study examines literature, journals, and mass media to define the athleisure look and understand the background of its emergence, and assess its key design characteristics. The collections examined are from 2007 fall/winter to 2017 spring/summer, and T by Alexander Wang from 2011 spring/summer to 2016 fall/winter. A total of 446 photos were collected and verified by a group of experts. The characteristics of the athleisure look in Alexander Wang's collections were described by the following themes: dynamism (39.46%), unexpectedness (34.30%), sensuality (14.57%), and resistance (11.65%). Results revealed a number of findings: First, regarding the sensuality of the athleisure look found in Alexander Wang's collections, it was found to exhibit the lines of the human body and highlight sexiness and healthy beauty - with either direct or indirect body exposure. Second, the concept of dynamism is the most frequently seen - utilizing items with a comfortable or loose fit or materials that are flexible to enhance activity. Third, resistance appears as a specific style using aggressive and rough decorations. Alexander Wang's signature color, black, appears often, and showcases resistance through black clothing and fashion. Fourth, the unexpectedness of the athleisure look found in Alexander Wang's collections creates its own uniqueness with playful expressions made by various materials' mixed and matched or made visually fun.
