태교 실천에 대한 일상생활 기술적 연구 (An Ethnographic Study about Taegyo Practice in Korea)

  • The purpose of this study is twofold : (i) to investigate how much effort the married couples are making for the good health of both the pregnant woman and her unborn child from the time of their marriage to and during the period of conception : and (ii) to comprehensive investigate socio-cultural back-grounds which affect prenatal effort. Result of this study provide a basis for the prenatal care program which will be appropriate to our culture. This study has been done by the ethnographic research method. The subjects of this study are 53 people in all consisting of 33 pregnant women and 20 husbands. In order to investigate socio-cultural factors which influence Taegyo, producers of Taegyo music were interviewed. In addition the researcher surveyed the markets of Taegyo music, participated in special courses of prenatal education, analyzed the content of the books and periodicals dealing with Taegyo, and collected the concept of Taegyo distributed by the mass media. The full-fledged study continued for eight months from February to August.1996. The data were analyzed as soon as they were collected. Spradly's(1979, 1980) developmental, sequential method of domain analysis. taxonomic analysis, componential analysis, and theme analysis in this order was adopted as the procedure of analyzing the data. To obtain the exactness of study, Sandelowski's (1986) four criteria, that is, Credibility, Fittingness, Auditability, and Confirmability were applied to all stages of data collection, data analysis, the interpretation of the result, and the description of the result. The following are the result : 1. The couples' Taegyo at the stage of preconception was related to their physical, psychological, spiritual conditions under which a healthy baby will be born. Specific methods they prefer are : "the choice of one's spouse." "physical check-up," "physical good health, " "praying, " and so on. 2. When the marriod couple have sex in order to conceive, their Taegyo was related to the imposition of their physical, psychological, and environmental conditions. Specific methods they prefer are : "having sex at specific time, " "having sex in nice place." "to purify their minds while having sex," and so on. 3. The married couples' Taegyo while they are in pregnancy was related to the imposition of their physical. psychological, emotionmental. environmental, social and spiritual conditions. Specific methods they prefer are : "listening to music. " "reading," "looking at beautiful things only," "to avoid looking at or listening to bad things." "to eat food in good shape, " "to avoid drugs," "eating Korean herbal medicine." "sexual abstinence," "to avoid dangerous places," "to keep emotional tranquility," "moderate exercises and rest." "leading a pure life." "praying." "being aware of their words and behavior." "for the couple to keep a good relationship." "interaction with their unborn child," "to support Taegyo for pregnant women," and so on. 4. The married couple put Taegyo into practice on the basis of the following principles : the principle of respecting an unborn child, the principle of forming a good disposition. the principle of top-down parental love, the principle of synergy between a pregnant woman and her unborn child, the principle of expecting a good child, the principle of forming a good habit, and the principle of acquiring a parental role. 5. The practice of Taegyo is influenced by such factors as the married couple, the supporting system, and the mass media. As the husband -and-wife factor, their information of Taegyo, the degree of importance is assigned to their characters, their time to spare, their healthiness, the age of pregnant woman, their conception plan, their religion, their belief of the Taegyo effects, and the birth of a baby in this order. The factor of the supporting system consists of her husband's support, her family support, and her neighbor's support. The mass media factors include the broadcasting media, books specialized in Taegyo, periodicals for pregnant women, booklets for advertizing powdered milk, Taegyo music of record manufacturing companies, and the teaching materials for gifted children. Among these the mass media is especially taking advantage of Taegyo as its main source of economic profits are leading the public behavior pattern to a prodigal one. Taegyo is a self-control behavior which requires practice for the following : the physical and psychological good health of the pregnant woman and her unborn child, the development of the unborn child's good character, the development of the unborn child's intelligence and talents, the expectation of the unborn child's good features. shape a good habit, the expectation of the unborn child's bright future, and the learning of a parental role, the expectation of male birth. Above all it is a type of our good cultural tradition which pursues a value higher than the one that the prenatal care does. The principles of pregnancy care inherent in the habit of Taegyo will provide us a guideline for the development of the prenatal care.

Rhinovirus 유발성 기도염증반응에서 Interleukin-8과 전사인자 NF(nuclear factor)-κB의 역할에 대한 연구 (The Role of Interleukin 8 and NF(nuclear factor)-κB in Rhinovirus-Induced Airway Inflammation)

  • 연구배경 : Rhinovirus(RV)는 상기도 감염의 중요한 원인균으로, 성인에서 기관지천식의 급성악화의 주요 원인이다. RV에 의한 기도염증반응의 기전은 잘 알려져 있지 않지만 interleukin(IL)-1, IL-6, IL-8 및 RANTES 등의 사이토카인을 매개로 일어난다. 염증반응에 관여하는 사이토카인의 발현은 적어도 전사인자 NF-${\kappa}B$에 의존성이므로 이러한 가설을 검증하기 위해 인체기도상피세포에서 RV에 의한 IL-8의 분비양상과 NF-${\kappa}B$ 활성화 단계에서 차단 제로 이용되는 N-acetyl-L-cysteine(NAC), PDTC, 및 TPCK를 투여하여 IL-8의 차단정도를 연구하여 NF-${\kappa}B$의 역할을 규명하고자 하였다. 방법 : 인체 기관지상피세포(BEAS-2B)와 RV type 14(RV14)를 ATCC로부터 구입하여 RV14 스톡을 만들고 역가를 측정하였다. 자극이 없는 대조군(배지단독)과 RV14를 상피세포에 감염시킨 후(MOI=1.0) 각각에서 2, 4, 6, 12, 24, 48 시간에 배양 상층액(SN)을 얻었다. 또한 대조군, RV14 자극군, NAC, PDTC, 및 TPCK 처치와 함께 RV14 자극을 준 군에서 각각 배양 12시간에 배양 상층액을 수집했다. SN에서 효소면역측정법으로 IL-8의 농도를 측정하였다. 결과 : 1) 상피세포는 RV14 자극이 없는 상태에서 배양시간의 경과에 따라 약간의 IL-8의 생산이 있었다. 2) 상피세포에 RV14 감염 후 4시간에서부터 IL-8이 증가하여 배양 48시간까지 지속적으로 증가하였다. 3) NAC와 PDTC는 RV14에 의한 IL-8의 생산을 유의하게 감소시켰으나, TPCK는 RV에 의한 IL-8의 생산을 억제하였지만 통계학적으로 유의하지 않았다. 4) NAC와 PDTC는 RV에 의한 IL-8 생성을 용량 의존적으로 억제하였다. 결론 : 일부 항산화제가 RV에 의한 기도염증반응을 차단할 수 있는 가능성을 제시하며 추후 NF-${\kappa}B$ 활성화 경로의 차단 부위에 대한 연구가 필요할 것으로 생각한다.

  • Cyberspace permits us to more beyond traditional face-to-face, mail and telephone surveys, yet still to examine basic issues regarding the quality of data collection: sampling, questionnaire design, survey distribution, means of response, and database creation. This article address each of these issues by contrasting and comparing traditional survey methods(Paper-and-Pencil) with Internet or Personal Computer networks-mediated (Screen-and-Keyboard) survey methods also introduces researchers to this revolutionary and innovative tool and outlines a variety of practical methods for using the Internet or Personal Computer Networks. The revolution in telecommunications technology has fostered the rapid growth of the Internet all over the world. The Internet is a massive global network and comprising many national and international networks of interconnected computers. The Internet or Personal Computer Networks could be the comprehensive interactive tool that will facilitate the development of the skills. The Internet or Personal Computer Networks provides a virtual frontier to expand our access to information and to increase our knowledge and understanding of public opinion, political behavior, social trends and lifestyles through survey research. Comparable to other technological advancements, the Internet or Personal Computer Networks presents opportunities that will impact significantly on the process and quality of survey research now and in the twenty-first century. There are trade-offs between traditional and the Internet or Personal Computer Networks survey. The Internet or Personal Computer Networks is an important channel for obtaining information for target participants. The cost savings in time, efforts, and material were substantial. The use of the Internet or Personal Computer Networks survey tool will increase the quality of research environment. There are several limitations to the Internet or Personal Computer Network survey approach. It requires the researcher to be familiar with Internet navigation and E-mail, it is essential for this process. The use of Listserv and Newsgroup result in a biased sample of the population of corporate trainers. However, it is this group that participates in technology and is in the fore front of shaping the new organizations of interest, and therefore it consists of appropriate participants. If this survey method becomes popular and is too frequently used, potential respondents may become as annoyed with E-mail as the sometimes are with mail survey and junk mail. Being a member of the Listserv of Newsgroup may moderate that reaction. There is a need to determine efficient, effective ways for the researcher to strip identifiers from E-mail, so that respondents remain anonymous, while simultaneously blocking a respondent from responding to a particular survey instrument more than once. The optimum process would be on that is initiated by the researcher : simple, fast and inexpensive to administer and has credibility with respondents. This would protect the legitimacy of the sample and anonymity. Creating attractive Internet or Personal Computer Networks survey formats that build on the strengths of standardized structures but also capitalize on the dynamic and interactive capability of the medium. Without such innovations in survey design, it is difficult to imagine why potential survey respondents would use their time to answer questions. More must be done to create diverse and exciting ways of building an credibility between respondents and researchers on the Internet or Personal Computer Networks. We believe that the future of much exciting research is based in the Electronic survey research. The ability to communicate across distance, time, and national boundaries offers great possibilities for studying the ways in which technology and technological discourse are shaped. used, and disseminated ; the many recent doctoral dissertations that treat some aspect of electronic survey research testify to the increase focus on the Internet or Personal Computer Networks. Thus, scholars should begin a serious conversation about the methodological issues of conducting research In cyberspace. Of all the disciplines, Internet or Personal Computer Networks, emphasis on the relationship between technology and human communication, should take the lead in considering research in the cyberspace.

17세기 고악보 소재 시조 담론의 특징적인 국면(局面) (Distinctive Aspects of Sijo Discourse in 17th Century's Old Music Scores)

  • 본 연구는 17세기 고악보 소재 시조를 개관하고 이를 토대로 이 시기 시조의 특징을 악보 편찬, 곡조의 변화, 노랫말의 변모상과 더불어 풍류, 일상성, 소통 중심의 담론 측면에서 한번 살펴본 것이다. 논의 대상이 된 고악보는 "양금신보(梁琴新譜)", "백운암금보(白雲庵琴譜)", "증보고금보(增補古琴譜)", "연대금보(延大琴譜)", "금보고(琴譜古)" 등 5개이다. 먼저 "양금신보(梁琴新譜)"에는 4곡에서 노랫말이 발견되며 이 중 <오나리~>가 17세기 이후부터 중대엽, 초중대엽, 이중대엽 등에 얹혀 불리거나 시조시형에 맞추려 한 흔적을 보여주고, "백운암금보(白雲庵琴譜)"에는 3수가 있는데, 악조의 기록이 있는 것과 없는 것이 있고 시조 말구가 생략된 작품이 특이하게 발견된다. "연대금보(延大琴譜)"에는 9수 모두가 중대엽에 얹혀 불렸고, "증보고금보(增補古琴譜)"에서는 4수가 삭대엽에 얹혀 불린 정황을 볼 수 있다. "증보고금보(增補古琴譜)"에는 또한 고려속요 <가시리>를 시조 시형에 맞게 개작한 작품도 발견되고 있어 두 갈래 간 연관성을 밝혀낼 단서로서 주목된다. "금보고(琴譜古)"에는 3수가 있고 이 중 일부는 다른 악보에도 보여 이 시기에 중대엽에 주로 얹어 부르는 레퍼토리가 정해져 있었을 가능성을 암시한다. 고악보를 통한 17세기 시조 연행과 담론의 특징은, 우선 금보(琴譜)의 성행과 풍류의 측면을 들 수 있다. 이 시기 금보(琴譜)는 국가적인 교화 담론의 목적에서라기보다는 새로운 음악 수용자층이 자신들의 기억을 더듬는 데 참고하거나 익숙한 곡을 악보로 남겨 풍류 현장의 흥을 고취하려는 과정에서 자연스레 편찬된 결과이다. 또한 이 시기는 17세기 초반에는 중대엽의 평조(平調)에만 노랫말이 얹혀 불리다가 17세기 중, 후반부터는 평조(平調) 이 외의 곡조 및 삭대엽의 곡조에도 노랫말이 얹혀 불린 흔적을 볼 수 있다. 이러한 곡조상의 변화 속에서 악보별 나름의 일상성 담론을 보여주기도 했지만 이미 형성되어 버린 레퍼토리로 근대성과 연결된 진정한 의미의 일상성 담론이 노랫말에서 발견되지는 않았다. 또 이 시기는 악조 변화에도 불구하고 노랫말에서는 큰 변화가 보이지 않지만 창자-청자 간의 소통과 공감 형성이 중시되는 가창 공간 자체는 노랫말의 변화 및 소실에 일정한 영향을 미쳤을 것으로 추정된다. 이처럼 고악보를 통해 시조 담론의 특징을 살펴보는 것은, 시(詩)로서 뿐만 아니라 가(歌)적인 성격도 지니는 시조를 보다 잘 이해하고 동시에 가집(歌集) 중심이던 기존의 연구를 또 다른 측면에서 보완하는 토대 작업이라는 데에 그 의의가 있다.

우리나라 간호연구의 현황과 문제 (Nursing research issues and trends : views from Korea)

  • The purposes of study was: 1. To identify the direction and scope of research activities in Korean Nursing. 2. To discuss the unique problems present in Korea that warrant nursing research. 3. To delineate the factors that facilitate and/or hinder nursing research in Korea. This study was conducted at six colleges of nursing in Korea. The schools which were selected had doctoral programs at the time, the data were collected in 1990. Four of the schools were located in the metropolitan area of the capital city, Seoul, and two were in two other cities similar in size. The total population of the study was 283 nurses. The instrument for the research was the English version of Research Profile Questionnaire which was translated into Korean by the researchers and was validated in its translation by two professors. A pretest procedure was done before the data collection process. Of the population of 283, 210 subjects received the questionnaire and 150 subjects responded(71.4%). Excluding incomplete questionnaires, 141 questionnaires were utilized for data analysis. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Responses to open-ended questions were content analyzed for themes and categories. Results of the study were as follows : Respondents currently , involved in nursing research numbered 108(76.6%), but 33(23.4%) did not have any research experience. The inexperienced respondenLs tended to be younger than the experienced subjects and most( 60.6%) were employed in hospitals, while 82.4 percent of the experienced nurses were employed in nursing schools. Among the respondents with research experience, 68.5 percent were involved in one to three projects and 31.5 percent were engaged in four or more projects. The experienced nurses indicated that nursing research in Korea is active. On the other hand, the responses of the inexperienced were that nursing research is not active. The most frequently selected research subjects were patients(76.9%, 83 respondents) followed by nurses, healthy persons and nursing students. The relatively high percentage of healthy persons as study subjects, could be explained as a concern of nurses for healthy persons as well as for ill patients. The aforememioned literature review showed a dramatic change in the kinds of study subjects; approximately 33 percent were patients but 25 percent were healthy subjects of various ages. The hospital was the prevailing research setting(67.6%) but at the same time various community settings were used. This is a changing phenomena in nursing research of Korea. Current research designed to build on previous studies amounted to 75 percent; about 39.8 percem were theory and hypothesis generated. Over 65 recommended additional research focusing on hypothesis-testing 0:' theory building. The previously quoted literature review found that only 4.0 percent of the study quescions were developed from a theoretical framework. The most frequently listed current major focus of nursmg research was stress and adaptation. Patients with cancer, pain, social support and care of the elderly were the next most frequently reported. These concerns may reflect problems associated with a technological and industrializing societyl. The most frequently identified problem was lack of clinical research. The need for replication research and research that contributes to the accumulation of nursing knowledge were found to be rare in Korean research. A need for theory testing and theory construction research was also identified. Although advanced statistical methods were often utilized in nursing research, the results were frequently considered by the interviewers not to be applicable in practice, and readers had difficulty in comprehending the findings. Even though the number of clinical nurses involved in research is increasing, it is still considered inadequate. Among 108 respondents, 83(76.9%) gave lack of time as a barrier to conducting nursing research. Over fifty percent of the respondents reported lack of funding or, personally, low confidence in research skills as barriers. The respondents offered 183 suggestions for future emphasis in nursing research. Among the 51 areas of emphasis, clinical research received the highest number and nursing intervention was next. The findings suggested that nursing research should be based on theory, be related to practice and relevant to the situation of a unique Korean culture.

  • 러시아 상트페테르부르크의 에르미타주 박물관 3층 맨 우측에는, 세계 유수의 실크로드 미술 컬렉션을 상설전시하는 "중앙아시아실"이 자리 잡고 있다. 20세기 초 실크로드를 학술조사한 러시아의 코즐로프(Pyotr Kozlov), 베레조프스키(Mikhail Berezovsky), 올덴부르그(Sergey Oldenburg) 등에 의해 수집된 고고 미술품 들이다. 에르미타주 박물관 소장의 방대한 이들 유물은 그 대강을 파악할 수 있도록 지역별로 분류하여 공개중이며, 이제까지 독일과 프랑스, 영국, 네덜란드, 한국, 일본 등에서 개최된 특별전시를 통해 그 일부를 소개하기도 하였다. 그리고 러시아 실크로드 탐험대의 성과물을 종합적으로 공개한 대형 기획전시 이 2008년에 에르미타주 박물관에서 개최됨으로써, 러시아의 실크로드 관련 유물이 세상에 본격적으로 알려지게 되었다. 이번에 간행된 『아장구자예술품(俄藏龜玆藝術品)』(2018)은 중국의 상해고적출판사(上海古籍出版社)가 에르미타주 박물관과 공동으로, 당관 소장 실크로드 유물 가운데 쿠차 지역의 예술품만을 선정하여 출판한 도록이다. 이 도록의 편집과 논고 및 유물 해설은 에르미타주 박물관 동양부(Oriental Department)의 시니어 큐레이터 키라 사모슉(Dr. Kira Samosyuk)이 담당하였다. 키라 박사는 하라호토(Khara-Khoto)와 서역(西域) 미술 전문가로, 그 이름이 국제적으로 널리 알려져 있는 중앙아시아 불교미술 연구의 석학이다. 본서에는 에르미타주 박물관 소장의 쿠차 지역 출토 유물을 망라하여, 중앙아시아 불교미술에 있어서의 쿠차 지역의 특징을 입체적으로 파악할 수 있도록 하였을 뿐만 아니라, 러시아 탐험대가 남긴 현장사진과 스케치 등에 이르기까지 빠짐없이 소개함으로써, 수집 유물 이외의 귀중한 정보도 아울러 제공하고 있다. 키라 사모슉 박사는 본서의 게재 논문 「The Art of the Kuche Buddhist Temples」에서, 러시아의 실크로드 탐험의 개요를 소개하고, 주로 불교시대 쿠차의 역사 전개 과정과 쿠차에 전래된 불교의 양상 그리고 석굴의 벽화 묘사와 그 연대 문제를 논한 후, 벽화의 주제와 소상(塑像), 석굴사원이 예배의 장으로서 어떻게 운용되고 있었는지에 대해 상세하게 언급하고 있다. 키라 박사는 결론으로서, 쿠차 문화는 불교 전파의 역사 가운데 독립적인 위치를 점하고 있었을 뿐만 아니라, 중국이나 유목세계의 여러 민족과 관계를 맺고 있었으며, 간다라 미술, 헬레니즘, 고대 이란, 중국 문화와의 관련성 속에서 독자적인 성격을 구축하였음을 논하고 있다. 그리고 쿠차 지역에서 형성된 문화는 타림분지뿐만 아니라 돈황(敦煌)과 중원(中原) 지역의 석굴예술에도 지대한 영향을 미치고 있다는 점으로 문장을 마감하고 있다. 키라 박사의 논고 가운데 주목할 부분은 쿠차 지역 석굴의 조성(造成) 연대(年代)에 관한 것이다. 그녀는 이제까지 여러 학자들에 의해 제기된 벽화의 조성 연대에 관한 견해를 소개하며, 벽화의 인물이 착용하고 있는 갑주(甲冑)의 도상(圖像) 특징 등을 소그드 미술 등 주변 지역에서 출토된 관련 자료와 비교하여, 키질의 조성 연대를 기존의 학설보다 백여 년 이상 소급해야 함을 주장하며, 5세기 이전으로 추정하고 있다. 그러나 쿠차 지역 석굴의 조성 시기의 문제는 석굴의 형식 문제를 비롯하여 불화(佛畫)의 주제(主題)와 양식(樣式), 안료(顔料)의 문제, 복식(服飾)이나 두발(頭髮), 제 장식(裝飾) 요소 등을 학제적(學際的) 연구 방법으로 재조명하고, 그 과정에 나타나는 주변 문화권과의 관련성 등을 종합적으로 고찰한 위에 방사성탄소 연대 측정 등 과학적 방법을 보조 자료로 활용하는 수밖에 없다. 에르미타주 박물관에는 제2차세계대전 때 베를린에서 전리품으로 가져온 벽화편이 다수 소장되어 있다. 일반인에게는 물론 학계에서도 그 행방을 전혀 모르고 있었던 이들 벽화편이 최근에 보존처리를 마치고 일반에게 상설전시를 통해 소개되고 있다. 본서 출판의 경위를 서술한 서언(序言)에는 이번 간행이 에르미타주 박물관 소장 쿠차 예술품의 제1차 출판이라고 한 점으로 보아, 아마도 보존처리가 끝난 독일 컬렉션을 소개하는 도록의 편집도 예정되어 있는 듯하다. 아울러 투르판과 호탄 지역 문물을 소개하는 도록의 간행도 기대해본다. 현재 쿠차의 석굴사원에서 절취한 벽화편은 러시아와 독일, 한국 등 여러 국가에 분장되어 있다. 이번 도록 출판을 계기로 쿠차 현지의 키질 석굴을 비롯한 제 석굴사원의 잔존벽화를 중심으로, 세계 각지에 흩어져 있는 벽화를 함께 소개하여 이들 석굴사원 벽화의 원래 모습을 온전하게 소개하는 종합도록의 간행도 필요할 것으로 본다. 그리고 동서의 문화가 혼합되어 있고 쿠차 지역 특유의 지역적 특성이 반영된 석굴사원의 벽화류 등을 소개하는 도록에는, 각 유물에 대한 보다 상세한 해설이 요망된다. 그리고 미술사 이외에도 보존과학적 측면에서의 안료 분석 등 학제적 조사연구 성과도 포함될 수 있기를 기대해본다. 작금의 중국 서부 개발 정책에 따라, 신장 지역의 오아시스에 인구가 과밀 거주함으로써 유발되는 기후변화 등으로 석굴사원의 벽화는 현재 심각한 위기에 처해있다. 이러한 난관을 타개하기 위해서는, 중국의 문화계뿐만 아니라 문화재 보존수복(保存修復)의 첨단 기술을 보유하고 있는 여러 국가들이 실크로드 석굴벽화의 보존수복을 위해 공동 노력하고 아울러 관련 인적자원 양성 등을 위해 보존과학센터를 운영하는 등 모두의 중지를 모아야할 때다. 본서는 20세기 초 서구 열강에 의해 추진된 실크로드의 고대 유적 조사 결과 가운데, 러시아 조사대가 쿠차 지역의 석굴사원을 중심으로 거둔 성과를 종합적으로 소개하는 출판물이지만, 향후 에르미타주 박물관 소장의 독일 컬렉션 벽화까지 전부 소개될 경우, 쿠차의 불교미술과 실크로드 연구에 크게 공헌할 것임에 틀림없다. 이런 의미에서 본서는 이제까지 축적되어 온 쿠차 지역에 대한 고고미술 연구의 마지막 퍼즐 조각이자 실크로드 연구의 새로운 방향을 제시한 학적 의미를 지니고 있다. 본서는 에르미타주 박물관의 실크로드 미술 연구의 성과물이자 새로운 편집 체계로서 학적 편의를 제공하였다는 점에서 큰 의미를 부여할 수 있으며, 이 모든 것을 기획하고 실크로드 미술 연구에 새로운 경지를 개척한 키라 사모슉 박사에게 경의를 표하는 바이다.

Perceptional Change of a New Product, DMB Phone

  • Digital Convergence means integration between industry, technology, and contents, and in marketing, it usually comes with creation of new types of product and service under the base of digital technology as digitalization progress in electro-communication industries including telecommunication, home appliance, and computer industries. One can see digital convergence not only in instruments such as PC, AV appliances, cellular phone, but also in contents, network, service that are required in production, modification, distribution, re-production of information. Convergence in contents started around 1990. Convergence in network and service begins as broadcasting and telecommunication integrates and DMB(digital multimedia broadcasting), born in May, 2005 is the symbolic icon in this trend. There are some positive and negative expectations about DMB. The reason why two opposite expectations exist is that DMB does not come out from customer's need but from technology development. Therefore, customers might have hard time to interpret the real meaning of DMB. Time is quite critical to a high tech product, like DMB because another product with same function from different technology can replace the existing product within short period of time. If DMB does not positioning well to customer's mind quickly, another products like Wibro, IPTV, or HSPDA could replace it before it even spreads out. Therefore, positioning strategy is critical for success of DMB product. To make correct positioning strategy, one needs to understand how consumer interprets DMB and how consumer's interpretation can be changed via communication strategy. In this study, we try to investigate how consumer perceives a new product, like DMB and how AD strategy change consumer's perception. More specifically, the paper segment consumers into sub-groups based on their DMB perceptions and compare their characteristics in order to understand how they perceive DMB. And, expose them different printed ADs that have messages guiding consumer think DMB in specific ways, either cellular phone or personal TV. Research Question 1: Segment consumers according to perceptions about DMB and compare characteristics of segmentations. Research Question 2: Compare perceptions about DMB after AD that induces categorization of DMB in direction for each segment. If one understand and predict a direction in which consumer perceive a new product, firm can select target customers easily. We segment consumers according to their perception and analyze characteristics in order to find some variables that can influence perceptions, like prior experience, usage, or habit. And then, marketing people can use this variables to identify target customers and predict their perceptions. If one knows how customer's perception is changed via AD message, communication strategy could be constructed properly. Specially, information from segmented customers helps to develop efficient AD strategy for segment who has prior perception. Research framework consists of two measurements and one treatment, O1 X O2. First observation is for collecting information about consumer's perception and their characteristics. Based on first observation, the paper segment consumers into two groups, one group perceives DMB similar to Cellular phone and the other group perceives DMB similar to TV. And compare characteristics of two segments in order to find reason why they perceive DMB differently. Next, we expose two kinds of AD to subjects. One AD describes DMB as Cellular phone and the other Ad describes DMB as personal TV. When two ADs are exposed to subjects, consumers don't know their prior perception of DMB, in other words, which subject belongs 'similar-to-Cellular phone' segment or 'similar-to-TV' segment? However, we analyze the AD's effect differently for each segment. In research design, final observation is for investigating AD effect. Perception before AD is compared with perception after AD. Comparisons are made for each segment and for each AD. For the segment who perceives DMB similar to TV, AD that describes DMB as cellular phone could change the prior perception. And AD that describes DMB as personal TV, could enforce the prior perception. For data collection, subjects are selected from undergraduate students because they have basic knowledge about most digital equipments and have open attitude about a new product and media. Total number of subjects is 240. In order to measure perception about DMB, we use indirect measurement, comparison with other similar digital products. To select similar digital products, we pre-survey students and then finally select PDA, Car-TV, Cellular Phone, MP3 player, TV, and PSP. Quasi experiment is done at several classes under instructor's allowance. After brief introduction, prior knowledge, awareness, and usage about DMB as well as other digital instruments is asked and their similarities and perceived characteristics are measured. And then, two kinds of manipulated color-printed AD are distributed and similarities and perceived characteristics for DMB are re-measured. Finally purchase intension, AD attitude, manipulation check, and demographic variables are asked. Subjects are given small gift for participation. Stimuli are color-printed advertising. Their actual size is A4 and made after several pre-test from AD professionals and students. As results, consumers are segmented into two subgroups based on their perceptions of DMB. Similarity measure between DMB and cellular phone and similarity measure between DMB and TV are used to classify consumers. If subject whose first measure is less than the second measure, she is classified into segment A and segment A is characterized as they perceive DMB like TV. Otherwise, they are classified as segment B, who perceives DMB like cellular phone. Discriminant analysis on these groups with their characteristics of usage and attitude shows that Segment A knows much about DMB and uses a lot of digital instrument. Segment B, who thinks DMB as cellular phone doesn't know well about DMB and not familiar with other digital instruments. So, consumers with higher knowledge perceive DMB similar to TV because launching DMB advertising lead consumer think DMB as TV. Consumers with less interest on digital products don't know well about DMB AD and then think DMB as cellular phone. In order to investigate perceptions of DMB as well as other digital instruments, we apply Proxscal analysis, Multidimensional Scaling technique at SPSS statistical package. At first step, subjects are presented 21 pairs of 7 digital instruments and evaluate similarity judgments on 7 point scale. And for each segment, their similarity judgments are averaged and similarity matrix is made. Secondly, Proxscal analysis of segment A and B are done. At third stage, get similarity judgment between DMB and other digital instruments after AD exposure. Lastly, similarity judgments of group A-1, A-2, B-1, and B-2 are named as 'after DMB' and put them into matrix made at the first stage. Then apply Proxscal analysis on these matrixes and check the positional difference of DMB and after DMB. The results show that map of segment A, who perceives DMB similar as TV, shows that DMB position closer to TV than to Cellular phone as expected. Map of segment B, who perceive DMB similar as cellular phone shows that DMB position closer to Cellular phone than to TV as expected. Stress value and R-square is acceptable. And, change results after stimuli, manipulated Advertising show that AD makes DMB perception bent toward Cellular phone when Cellular phone-like AD is exposed, and that DMB positioning move towards Car-TV which is more personalized one when TV-like AD is exposed. It is true for both segment, A and B, consistently. Furthermore, the paper apply correspondence analysis to the same data and find almost the same results. The paper answers two main research questions. The first one is that perception about a new product is made mainly from prior experience. And the second one is that AD is effective in changing and enforcing perception. In addition to above, we extend perception change to purchase intention. Purchase intention is high when AD enforces original perception. AD that shows DMB like TV makes worst intention. This paper has limitations and issues to be pursed in near future. Methodologically, current methodology can't provide statistical test on the perceptual change, since classical MDS models, like Proxscal and correspondence analysis are not probability models. So, a new probability MDS model for testing hypothesis about configuration needs to be developed. Next, advertising message needs to be developed more rigorously from theoretical and managerial perspective. Also experimental procedure could be improved for more realistic data collection. For example, web-based experiment and real product stimuli and multimedia presentation could be employed. Or, one can display products together in simulated shop. In addition, demand and social desirability threats of internal validity could influence on the results. In order to handle the threats, results of the model-intended advertising and other "pseudo" advertising could be compared. Furthermore, one can try various level of innovativeness in order to check whether it make any different results (cf. Moon 2006). In addition, if one can create hypothetical product that is really innovative and new for research, it helps to make a vacant impression status and then to study how to form impression in more rigorous way.

검사별 radioimmunoassay시약 조사 및 비교실험 (Radioimmunoassay Reagent Survey and Evaluation)

  • [목 적] 의료기관의 핵의학 검사실에서 신규검사를 도입하거나 사용하던 시약을 변경하게 되는 경우 절차에 따라 검사의 특성이 분석되고 시약에 대한 평가가 이루어져야 한다. 그러나 요구되어지는 비교실험을 모두 수행하기 위해서는 몇 가지 필요한 조건이 충족되어야 하는데, 첫째 각 검사별로 수행하기에 충분한 검체량이 준비되어야하며, 둘째 비교실험에 적용 가능한 다양한 시약의 공급이 가능해야한다. 충분한 비교실험이 이루어졌다고 하더라도 변경된 시약에 의한 데이터 변동이 전체 환자데이터 변동을 의미하는 것에는 한계가 있으므로 검사실에서 시약이 변경되는 것에 대한 부담이 있다. 이러한 다양한 어려움으로 검사실에서의 시약변경은 제한적으로 이루어지고 있다. 본원에서는 원할한 경쟁 입찰을 도입하기 위하여 검사별로 radioimmunoassay(RIA)시약을 전수조사하고 비교실험을 통해 검사실에서 사용가능한 시약범위를 설정하였다. 이 과정을 공유하고자 하였다. [대상 및 방법] 본원 핵의학 검체 검사실에서 시행하고 있는 검사는 위탁검사를 제외하고 총 20종목이다. 각각의 검사별로 외부정도관리와 기관간 정도관리 결과보고서를 참고로 사용가능한 RIA시약을 전수 조사하였고, 각 시약에 대한 메뉴얼을 확보하였다. 각각의 시약마다 메뉴얼을 확인하여 검사 방법과 incubation시간, 검사 시 필요한 검체량, 시약량 등을 확인하여 본 검사실에서 사용가능한지 여부에 따라 시약 1차 선정을 하였다. 1차 선정된 시약을 100 test기준으로 2 kit씩 공급받아 데이터 상관성시험, 민감도, 회수율, 희석시험을 진행하였고, 비교실험 결과에 따라 시약을 2차 선정하였다. 1, 2차 선정을 통과한 시약을 경쟁 입찰리스트로 제출하였다. 검사 시약을 단수로 지정할 경우에는 1차, 2차 선정 과정에서 얻은 자료로 단수지정 사유서를 작성하였다. [결 과] 각각의 시약마다 매뉴얼을 확인하여 시약 1차 선정에서 제외되는 경우는 각 검사의 현재 Turn Around Time(TAT)보다 길어지는 경우와 검사 시 사용 시약량이 많아 장비사용이 불가능한 경우였다. 1차 선정에서 사용가능한 시약이 1개인 경우는 5종목 squamous cell carcinoma antigen(SCC Ag), 𝛽-human chorionic gonadotropin(𝛽-HCG), vitamin B12, folate, free testosterone 이었고, 2개인 경우는 8종목 (CA19-9, CA125, CA72-4, ferritin, thyroglobulin antibody(TG Ab), microsomal antibody(Mic Ab), thyroid stimulating hormone-receptor-antibody(TSH-R-Ab), calcitonin), 3개인 경우는 5종목(triiodothyronine(T3), Free T3, Free T4, TSH, intact parathyroid hormone(intact PTH)), 4개인 경우는 2종목(carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA), TG)이었다. 2차 최종 선정결과 사용가능한 시약이 3개인 것은 T3, Free T3, Free T4, TSH, CEA, 2개인 것은 TG Ab, Mic Ab, TSH-R-Ab, CA125, CA72-4, intact PTH, calcitonin이었다. 단수 지정된 종목은 ferritin, TG, CA19-9, SCC, 𝛽-HCG, vitamin B12, folate, free testosterone이었다. 2차 선정에서 제외된 사유에는 비교실험을 위한 시약공급이 안된 경우와 데이터 재현성에 문제가 있었던 경우, 데이터 변동에 대한 수용이 불가능하다고 판단되는 경우였다. 비교실험 시 가장 문제가 되는 부분은 검체 수집이었다. 검사건수가 많고 검사 시 필요한 검체량이 적은 경우에는 문제가 되지 않았지만, 검사건수가 적은 경우(월 100건 이하)에는 다양한 농도 검체를 수집하기가 어려웠으며, 한번 검사 시 필요한 검체량이 상대적으로 많은 경우(100 uL이상)에는 회수율시험을 진행하기가 어려웠다. 또한 민감도 측정이나 희석시험을 위한 희석액이나 표준액0 물질이 부족한 경우도 문제점 중의 하나였다. [결 론] 검사시약 변경을 위한 비교실험 시 다양하고 충분한 검체 수집을 위해 적정한 준비기간이 필요하다. 또한 1회 검사 시 필요한 검체량 및 시약량에 따라 비교실험 시 필요한 총 검체량, 시약량 범위를 설정해 놓는다면 비교실험을 진행할 때마다 검체 수집과 실험계획을 세우는 데 부담이 줄어들 것이다.

사회연결망 분석을 활용한 연관규칙 확장기법 (Extension Method of Association Rules Using Social Network Analysis)

  • 연관 상품 추천은 수많은 상품을 다루는 온라인 상거래에서 소비자의 상품 탐색 시간을 줄여주며 판매자의 매출 증대에 크게 기여한다. 이는 주문과 같은 거래의 빈도를 기반으로 생성되므로, 통계적으로 판매 확률이 높은 상품을 효과적으로 선별할 수 있다. 하지만, 판매 가능성이 높은 경우라도 신상품처럼 판매 초기에 거래 건수가 충분하지 않은 상품은 추천에서 누락될 수 있다. 연관 추천에서 누락된 상품은 이로 인해 노출 기회를 잃게 되고, 이는 거래 건수 감소로 이어져, 또 다시 추천 기회를 잃는 악순환을 겪을 수도 한다. 따라서, 충분한 거래 건수가 쌓이기 전까지 초기 매출은 일정 기간 동안 정체되는 현상을 보이는데, 의류 등과 같이 유행에 민감하거나 계절 변화에 영향을 많이 받는 상품은 이로 인해 매출에 큰 타격을 입을 수도 있다. 본 연구는 이와 같이 거래 초기의 낮은 거래 빈도로 인해 잘 드러나지 않는 상품 간의 잠재적인 연관성을 찾아 추천 기회를 확보할 수 있도록 연관 규칙을 확장하기 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. 두 상품 간에 직접적인 연관성이 나타나지 않더라도 다른 상품을 매개로 두 상품 간의 잠재적 연관성을 예측할 수 있을 것이며, 이런 연관성은 주문에서 나타나는 상품 간 상호작용으로 표현될 수 있으므로, 사회연결망 분석을 활용한 분석을 시도하였다. 사회연결망 분석기법을 통해 각 상품의 속성과 두 상품 간 경로의 특성을 추출하고 회귀분석을 실시하여, 두 상품 간 경로의 최단 거리 및 경로의 개수, 각 상품이 얼마나 많은 상품과 연관성을 갖는지, 두 상품의 분류 카테고리가 어느 정도 일치하는지가 두 상품 간의 잠재적 연관성에 미친다는 것을 확인하였다. 모형의 성능을 평가하기 위해, 일정 기간의 주문 데이터로부터 연결망을 구성하고, 이후 10일 간 생성될 상품 간 연관성을 예측하는 실험을 진행하였다. 실험 결과는 모형을 적용하지 않는 경우보다 제안 모형을 활용할 때 훨씬 많은 연관성을 찾을 수 있음을 보여준다.

한미간(韓美間) 정보통신분야(情報通信分野) 통상마찰예방(通商摩擦豫防)과 해소방안(解消方案)에 관한 연구(硏究) (A study on The U.S.-Korean Trade Friction Prevention and Settlement in the Fields of Information and Telecommunication Industries)

  • The US supports the Information and Communication (IC) industry as a strategic one to wield a complete power over the World Market. However, several other countries are also eager to have the support for the IC industry because the industry produces a high added value and has a significant effect on other industries. Korea is not an exception. Korea recently succeeded in the commercialization of CDMA for the first time in the world, after the successful development of TDX. Hence, it is highly likely to get tracked by the US. Although the IC industry is a specific sector of IT, there is a concern that there might be a trade friction between the US and Korea due to a possible competition. It will be very important to prepare a solution in advance so that Korea could prevent the friction and at the same time increase its share domestically and globally. It will be our important task to solve the problem with the minimum cost if the conflict arises unfortunately in the IT area. The parties that have a strong influence on the US trade policy are the think tank group and the IT-related interest group. Therefore, it would be important to have a close relationship with them. We found some implications by analyzing the case of Japan, which has experienced trade frictions with the US over the long period of time in the high tech industry. In order to get rid of those conflicts with the US, the Japanese did the following things : (1) The Japanese government developed supporting theories and also resorted to international support so that the world could support the Japanese theories. (2) Through continual dialogue with the US business people, the Japanese business people sought after solutions to share profits among the Japanese and the US both in the domestic and in the worldwide markets. They focused on lobbying activities to influence the US public opinion to support the Japanese. The specific implementation plan was first to open culture lobby toward opinion leaders who were leaders about the US opinion. The institution, Japan Society, were formed to deliver a high quality lobbying activities. The second plan is economic lobby. They have established Japanese Economic Institute at Washington. They provide information about Japan regularly or irregularly to the US government, research institution, universities, etc., that are interested in Japan. The main objective behind these activities though is to advertise the validity of Japanese policy. Japanese top executives, practical interest groups on international trade, are trying to justify their position by direct contact with the US policy makers. The third one is political lobby. Japan is very careful about this political lobby. It is doing its best not to give impression that Japan is trying to shape the US policy making. It is collecting a vast amount of information to make a correct judgment on situation. It is not tilted toward one political party or the other, and is rather developing a long-term network of people who understand and support the Japanese policy. The following implications were drawn from the experience of Japan. First, the Korean government should develop a long-term plan and execute it to improve the Korean image perceived by American people. Second, the Korean government should begin public relation activities toward the US elite group. It is inevitable to make an effort to advertise Korea to this elite group because this group leads public opinion in the USA. Third, the Korean government needs the development of a relevant policy to elevate the positive atmosphere for advertising toward the US. For example, we need information about to whom and how to about lobbying activities, personnel network who immediately respond to wrong articles about Korea in the US press, and lastly the most recent data bank of Korean support group inside the USA. Fourth, the Korean government should create an atmosphere to facilitate the advertising toward the US. Examples include provision of incentives in tax on the expenses for the advertising toward the US and provision of rewards to those who significantly contribute to the advertising activities. Fifth, the Korean government should perform the role of a bridge between Korean and the US business people. Sixth, the government should promptly analyze the policy of IT industry, a strategic area, and timely distribute information to industries in Korea. Since the Korean government is the only institution that has formal contact with the US government, it is highly likely to provide information of a high quality. The followings are some implications for business institutions. First, Korean business organization should carefully analyze and observe the business policy and managerial conditions of US companies. It is very important to do so because all the trade frictions arise at the business level. Second, it is also very important that the top management of Korean firms contact the opinion leaders of the US. Third, it is critically needed that Korean business people sent to the USA do their part for PR activities. Fourth, it is very important to advertise to American employees in Korean companies. If we cannot convince our American employees, it would be a lot harder to convince regular American. Therefore, it is very important to make the American employees the support group for Korean ways. Fifth, it should try to get much information as early as possible about the US firms policy in the IT area. It should give an enormous effort on early collection of information because by doing so it has more time to respond. Sixth, it should research on the PR cases of foreign enterprise or non-American companies inside the USA. The research needs to identify the success factors and the failure factors. Finally, the business firm will get more valuable information if it analyzes and responds to, according to each medium.
