  • In this paper, a method of representing the pattern classifier as a collection of hypercubic regions is proposed. This representation has following advantages over the conventional ones : 1) a simple form of human knowledge can be used in designing the classifier, 2) the form of the classifier is suit for the rule-based system, and 3) this can reduce the classification time. A method of synthesis of the classifier under this representation is also proposed and the experimental result shows that the proposed method is faster than the well-known nearest neighbor classifier.

Method: This research used narrative inquiry far data collection. From April 2005 to June 2006, data collection was conducted by open-ended interview, questionnaire and close observation. The participants, who were student nurses, were willing to take part in this study. Results: On the basis of these data, the experiences of clinical practice at public health center were: 1) when the student nurses begin clinical practice at public health centers for the first time, most of the students feel fearful, nervous and stressed. They also mentioned having a hard time being polite to clients and the staff. 2) The students had new experiences at the health public center compared with clinical practice. Especially, the student nurses who were determined to be good nurses were doing home visiting care service. Not only did they have the opportunity to confirm their identity as nurses, but also the students change their career course from clinical nursing to public health nursing. 4) They reflected on themselves after home visiting care service. Conclusion: On the basis of these findings, the following recommendations are made. 1) Data collection and analysis are needed, net only through the narrative method, but also through other various qualitative methods. 2) Comparative study is necessary to enhance clinical experiences through the analysis of the interfering factors and the original experiences.

  • Researchers have used a variety of methods to measure patterns of animal movement, including the use of spatial data (mapping the position of a moving animal at specified intervals) and direct estimation of travel path length by pacing under a moving animal or group. I collected movement data from five groups of siamangs (Symphalangus syndactylus) using two different methods concurrently to estimate the effects of the method of data collection on estimates of daily path length (DPL). Estimates of DPL produced from spatial data collected at 15-minute intervals were 12% lower than estimates of DPL produced by pacing under the traveling animal. The actual magnitude of the difference was correlated with the travel distance, but there was no correlation between the proportional difference and the travel distance. While the collection of spatial data is generally preferable, as spatial data permit additional analyses of patterns of movements in two or three dimensions, the relatively small difference between the DPL's produced using different methods suggests that pacing is an acceptable substitute where the collection of spatial data is impractical. I also subsampled the spatial data at increasing time intervals to assess the effect of sampling interval on the calculation of daily path lengths. Longer sampling intervals produced significantly shorter estimates of travel paths than shorter sampling intervals. These results suggest that spatial data should be collected at short time intervals wherever possible, and that sampling intervals should not exceed 30 minutes. Researchers should be cautious when comparing data generated using different methods.

  • Prostaglandin $F_2{\alpha}$ ($PGF_2{\alpha}$) can facilitate release of epinephrine from the adrenal gland. The objective was to extend these findings and determine the effects of $PGF_2{\alpha}$ on sexual activity and semen collection training in sexually inexperienced boars. Boars (n=32; $281{\pm}18$ days of age) were moved individually once weekly to a semen collection room equipped with an artificial sow. Before entering the semen collection room, boar received i.m. treatments of $PGF_2{\alpha}$ at doses of 5 (n=8), 10 (n=8), or 20 (n=8), and control boar (n=8) were not treated. Reaction time (elapsed time after entering collection pen until the start of mounting) for boars receiving 5mg ($3.3{\pm}0.9\;min$), 10mg ($3.3{\pm}0.8\;min$) $PGF_2{\alpha}$ was shorter (p<0.05) than for controls ($6.7{\pm}0.9min$). Duration of ejaculation (min) per session was longer (p<0.05) for $PGF_2{\alpha}$ (10 mg, 20 mg)-treated boars ($7.3{\pm}0.7\;min$, $6.9{\pm}0.7\;min$), compared to control ($3.4{\pm}0.8\;min$). The number of training session per boars was less (p=0.056) for $PGF_2{\alpha}$ 10mg-treated boars ($1.0{\pm}0.4$), compared to control ($2.0{\pm}0.4$). Semen characteristic such as volume, concentration, the number of total ejaculated sperm, were similar for $PGF_2{\alpha}$-treated and controls. There was no apparent difference on sperm movement characteristics (Mot: motility, VCL : curve linear velocity, VSL : straight line velocity, VAP : average path velocity, LIN : linearity) after semen preservation by collected with or without $PGF_2{\alpha}$ treatment. In summary, administration of $PGF_2{\alpha}$ in boars increased the sexual activity and facilitated the training boars to mount an artificial sow for semen collection, but did not affect semen characteristic.

  • ERP is an integrated information system to manage all human and material resources in offices. Therefore, the business competitiveness is reinforced. The best requirement of ERP is the real time data collection and analysis in ubiquitous environment. Passive information collection is a problem in existing ERP system. To solve that problem, active system is proposed using RFID Tag and Reader. From the simulation results, we confirm that resource information is acquired and event message is occurred after fixed time. In this paper, the real time management system of industry resource with RFID collects resource information actively instead of passive information collection and supports the event according to the schedule.

  • In the IoT(IoT: Internet of Things) environment, network configuration is essential to collect data generated from objects. Various communication methods are used to process data of objects, and wireless communication methods such as Bluetooth and WiFi are mainly used. In order to collect data of objects, a communication module must be installed to collect data generated from sensors or edge devices in real time. And in order to deliver data to the database, a software architecture must be configured. Data generated from objects can be stored and managed in a database in real time, and data necessary for industrial safety can be extracted and utilized for industrial safety service applications. In this paper, a network environment was constructed using a LoRa(LoRa: Long Range) gateway to collect object data, and a client/server data collection model was designed to collect object data transmitted from the LoRa module. In order to secure the resources necessary for data collection and storage management without data leakage, data collection should be possible in real time. As an application service, location data required for industrial safety can be stored and managed in a database in real time.

  • Sin Dae-woo was a scholar representing the Ganghwa School in the late Joseon Dynasty. He was Jeong Je-du's grandson-in-law and also in charge of organizing Jeong Je-du's collection of writings. His three sons had a particularly close relationship with their father, so even when they published a collection of writings after his father's death, the names of the three were combined and marked as Jin-jak-shin. The records they left include Seokcheon Il-seung, who described the history of the family along with the collection of writings, Seongdo Il-rok, a diary of the time of Seongcheon Busa, and many letters exchanged over time. These records draw attention as they contain records of medical life, such as eye diseases that the family suffered, infectious diseases that caused many casualties, and Yakro (distilled herbal essence) that showed records of being used for treatment at the time. In this paper: 1) We examine the medicines, prescriptions, acupuncture, and medication used to treat eye diseases. 2) We carefully examine the epidemic, the responses of the parties to it, and the attitudes of those who stood at the boundary between death and life. 3) We look for clues to the use of Western-origin drugs called Yakro. Intellectuals of the time looked deeper into Lee Kyugyung's book and Seo Yu-gu's book on how they were reflected in Joseon's medical life. In conclusion, in the 18th and 9th centuries, we see that the influential families of the Ganghwa school freely brought in famous acupuncturists, used prescriptions that were included in medical books or not, and used Yakro from western origin that were not traditional methods of Joseon. Thus, we reveal that doctors of the Joseon had the capacity to pursue their medical life more actively and had open-minded exchanges than our existing perceptions.
