Detection and Estimation of a Faults on Coaxial Cable with TFDR Algorithm (Time Frequency Domain Reflectometry 기법을 이용한 Coaxial Cable에서의 결함 감지 및 추정)

  • In this paper, a new high resolution reflectometry scheme, time-frequency domain reflectometry (TFDR), is proposed to detect and locate fault in wiring. Traditional reflectometry methods have been achieved in either the time domain or frequency domain only. However, time-frequency domain reflectometry utilizes time and frequency information of a transient signal to detect and locate the fault. The time-frequency domain reflectometry approach described in this paper is characterized by time-frequency reference signal design and post-processing of the reference and reflected signals to detect and locate the fault. Design of the reference signal in time-frequency domain reflectometry is based on the determination of the frequency bandwidth of the physical properties of cable under test. The detection and estimation of the fault on the time-frequency domain reflectometry relies on the time-frequency domain reflectometry is compared with commercial time domain reflectomtery (TDR) instrument. In these experiments provided in this paper, TFDR locates the fault with smaller error than TDR. Knowledge of time and frequency localized information for the reference and reflected signal gained via time-frequency analysis, allows one to detect the fault and estimate the location accurately.

  • A gradient matrix method in conjunction with the transmission-reflection method to determine the complex permittivity and permeability of a microwave material is presented. This method does not incur the phase ambiguity due to an improper sample length, and is applicable to the measurement of low-loss materials of a half wavelength. A gradient matrix for a coaxial cable sample is derived, and the results are illustrated.

  • It is very important to analyze the superconducting power cables by the modeling for correct and reasonable cable design suitable for the domestic situation of power systems. This paper describes the basic modeling for superconducting power cables using ATPDraw. And also it is shown the line constants of cold dielectric coaxial type which is one of the HTS cables. It is compared with the line constants of general two kinds of power cables(OF, XLPE).

  • The stacked microstrip patch antenna is modeled by a simple cavity model. Using this model, the input impedance of the stacked microstrip patch antenna fed by a coaxial probe is expressed as a function of antenna paprameters and frequency. We calculate the input impedance of the stacked microstrip patch antenna for the variation of frequency.

  • 본 논문에서는 모드 매칭법과 일반 산란계수법을 이용하여 경사진 금속봉이 도파란내에 놓여 있을 때 반사 특성과 투과 특성을 구하였으면, 이 결과를 이용하여 동축선로와 도파관과의 접합에 응용할 수 있도록 최적의 조건을 도출하였다. 여기서 반사특성은 기울기사 클수록 뚜렷아세 개선되어서 최소-40dB까지 감소하였고, 투과특성은 최적의 각도 45$^{\circ}$에서 최대의 특성을 얻을 수 있었다. 또한, 이를 HFSS의 결과와 비교하였을 때 잘일치하는 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.

  • Radiation properties of flush mounted circular patch antenna are investigated. The patch is fed axis-symmetrically by a coaxial cable. Rigorous analysis is given using integral transform and mode matching techniques. The presented method accommodates radiating patch, and integrated matching sections and band pass filter.

  • 본 연구에서는 난류모델로는 기존의 K-.epsilon.모델과 LPS방법으로 수정된 K-.epsilon. 모 델을, 수치적 Scheme으로는 Hybrid Difference Scheme과 Skew-upwind Difference Sc- heme을 사용하여 그 결과를 각각 비교하였다.

  • To provide more qualified data service on the HFC(Hybrid-Fiber Coaxial) access network, the channel characteristics of upstream transmission band should be carefully investigated and analysed. It will be easier to do network management if the monitoring system for noise measurement in the network is available, In this paper, noise analysis method and the frequency selection method in the upstream band for duplex transmission are suggested. And, Data aquisition device for the signal measurement Is implemented. With this network monitoring system, field test and the result from the collected data are described.

  • Using the extensional vibration mode of PZT bar, a piezopump is successfully made. The traveling extensional wave along the circumference of the bar is obtained by dividing standing waves which are temporally and spatially phase shifted by 90 degrees from each other. The proposed piezopump is consisted of coaxial cylindrical shells that are bonded piezoelectric ceramic bar.
