  • The purpose of this study was to examine the professors, who teach the dental hygiene program in Korea, their Awareness on authors determined among research ethics. Three hundred and six full time professors and four hundred and eighty four part time professors in seventy eight universities all around Korea were surveyed. The following are the results that the collected data was carried out statistical analysis by using SPSS 12.0 program. The results was as followed. 1. The present study's author makers, 95 respondents (55.6%) experienced advising professor and 67 respondents (39.2%) experienced personally. 2. As recognition about range and order decision of the authors, they expressed the biggest recognition that person who did the interpretation of the results or gave important information doesn't always become the first author of the article($2.81{\pm}.485$). 3. Between general characteristics and authorship recognition level, they were statistically significantly different with number of articles published as the first author(p<0.05). 4. Regarding the correlation between students who helped with collection of data and references also have the right to be the author of the research article and Person who did the rough draft translation also has the right to be the co-author of the research article had a statistically significant correlation of .433 which was the highest correlation factor (p<0.01). Conclusions, rules and regulations on research ethic should be more publicized through educational institutions.

  • This paper identifies core research topics and their relationships by deriving the research topic networks in the technology management field using co-word analysis. Contrary to the conventional approach in which undirected networks are constructed based on normalized co-occurrence frequency, this study analyzes directed networks of keywords by employing the confidence index of association rule mining for pairs of keywords. Author keywords included in 2,456 articles published in nine international journals of technology management in 2011~2014 are extracted and categorized into three types: THEME, METHOD, and FIELD. One-mode networks for each type of keywords are constructed to identify core research keywords and their interrelationships with each type. We then derive the two-mode networks composed of different two types of keywords, THEME-METHOD and THEME-FIELD, to explore which methods or fields are frequently employed or studied for each theme. The findings of this study are expected to be fruitfully referred for researchers in the field of technology management to grasp research trends and set the future research directions.

  • At the moment, the section insulators for different phases used for over head contact wire system has been all imported since its first application. However, because the section insulators need frequent maintenance and replacement due to the wear by the friction with pantograph and the contamination, which causes its life shorter than as expected, it is required to develop the insulation material with better wear-resistance characteristics and contamination-resistance characteristics. In this thesis, the author developed the section insulator which adopts Teflon tube insulation material which is composed of the Teflon material with the excellent electrical characteristics and wear-resistance characteristics for a longer expected life than that made of conventional FRP.

  • In this paper, the frequency compensator for digital protective relay is introduced. Due to sudden appearance of generation-load or fault in power system, the frequency can deviate from its nominal value. The Orthogonal filter adopted to digital protective relay is exposed to the problem. Therefore, the frequency variation makes a difficult to protective function and power measurement in digital protective relay. The essential property of the proposed algorithm presented is its outstanding immunity to both signal orthogonal component magnitudes and DFT filter gain variations which ensures below 0.05Hz accuracy of estimation. Additionally, the proposed method has excellent characteristics with low signal sampling rate. Based on the frequency estimation, author design under frequency protection relay for generator and verifies its performance with several experimental tests.

  • We isolated a sphingonyelinase (SMase) inhibitor, which would be a potential reagent to regulate cell proliferation, oncogenesis, and inflammation, from a strain of Streptomyces sp.. In this paper, we report the optimal conditions for the production of SMase inhibitor, designed as sphinin, from Streptomyces sp. F50970. The optimal carbon and nitrogen source were 1% soluble starch and 0.05%-0.15% trypton. Most of monosaccharides and high concentration of soluble starch above 1.0% caused falling of pH and sphinin production. Zn2+, Cu2+, Fe2+, Mn2+, and Co2+inhibited cell growth and the production of sphinin. Inorganic phosphate promoted the sphinin production. Optimal initial pH for the production of sphinin was 7.5-8.0. Addition of CaCO3 to the medium resulted in an increase of inhibitor production. Based on these results, we designed a fermentation medium for the production of a SMase inhibitor, sphinin, from Streptomyces sp. F50970.

  • There are chief concerns every ceramist must keep in mind when firing a single kiln : Being able to read and control the kilns temperature as the firing progresses and as the kiln cools after firing. Controlling the atmosphere of the kiln in order to create desired glaze and clay body effects. Getting the most efficient use from the fuel-the most heat possible from the least fuel possible. The more exactly, author can control these factors with some result.

  • Carbon monoxide poisoning is one of the most serious health problems in Korea. In this review, the author made a intensive reference review on the causes of carbon monoxide poisoning, the patterns of carbon monoxide poisoning and the prospects of CO poisoning. Following findings were induced through the review. 1. Carbon monoxide poisoning is influenced by variable social factors than any other diseases or accidents and is more closely related with the economical and cultural parameters of the community. 2. The increase of risk in the populatlon is expected by National Energy Policy and the hazards of CO poisoning will rather be increasing as long as no radical control measure will be taken. 3. More practical control measure, including extensive public relation service, should be established to eradicate this serious health hazard in Korea.

  • Not only has there been movement along the sectoral continuum, Johnston argues, but changes in the spatial balance of policing are also visible. More concretely, he suggests that British policing has been undergoing a century-long process that has gathered pace since the 1960s. Three factors have been central to this process. First, legislative centralization brought about by the Police Act 1964 - which established the tripartite structure for police governance and amalgamated forces - and the Local Government Act 1972 which reorganized local government. Secondly, the political and industrial unrest of the 1970s and early 1980s led to the establishment of new levels of national police co-operation and, in the words of one author, to the establishment of a 'de facto national police force'. Thirdly, increasing European influence has further internationalized police co-operation and organization. Johnston concludes that the spatial restructuring that appears to be taking place in British policing is indicative of a broader process of fragmentation of social structures and systems for maintaining order.

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of Artemisia capillaries on gene expression of lipid metabolism in rats. Methods : The author performed several experimental items to analyze the total cholesterol and triglyceride in liver tissue, the gene expressions of CYP7A1 and HMG-CoA reductase. Results : 1. In Artemisia capillaries group, the levels of total cholesterol in liver tissue were significantly decreased. 2. In Artemisia capillaries group, the ratios of CYP7A1, HMG-CoA reductase were as same as the normal group. Conclusions : From the above results, Artemisia capillaries can be used to treat hyperlipidemia.

  • Purpose: This study examined the suitability of using text network analysis (TNA) methodology for topic analysis of academic papers related to nursing. Methods: TNA background theories, software programs, and research processes have been described in this paper. Additionally, the research methodology that applied TNA to the topic analysis of the academic nursing papers was analyzed. Results: As background theories for the study, we explained information theory, word co-occurrence analysis, graph theory, network theory, and social network analysis. The TNA procedure was described as follows: 1) collection of academic articles, 2) text extraction, 3) preprocessing, 4) generation of word co-occurrence matrices, 5) social network analysis, and 6) interpretation and discussion. Conclusion: TNA using author-keywords has several advantages. It can utilize recognized terms such as MeSH headings or terms chosen by professionals, and it saves time and effort. Additionally, the study emphasizes the necessity of developing a sophisticated research design that explores nursing research trends in a multidimensional method by applying TNA methodology.
