The purpose of video segmentation is to segment video sequence into shots where each shot represents a sequence of frames having the same contents, and then select key frames from each shot for indexing. There are two types of shot changes, abrupt and gradual. The major problem of shot change detection lies on the difficulty of specifying the correct threshold, which determines the performance of shot change detection. As to the clustering approach, the right number of clusters is hard to be found. Different clustering may lead to completely different results. In this thesis, we propose a video segmentation method using a color-X$^2$ intensity histogram-based fuzzy c-means clustering algorithm.

Digital road map generation is primarily based on artificial satellite photographing or in-site manual survey work. Therefore, these map generation procedures require a lot of time and a large budget to create and update road maps. Consequently, people have tried to develop automated map generation systems using GPS trajectory data sets obtained by public vehicles. A fundamental problem in this road generation procedure involves the extraction of representative trajectory such as main roads. Extracting a representative trajectory requires the base data set of piecewise line segments(GPS-trajectories), which have close starting and ending points. So, geometrically similar trajectories are selected for clustering before extracting one representative trajectory from among them. This paper proposes a new divide- and-conquer approach by partitioning the whole map region into regular grid sub-spaces. We then try to find similar trajectories by sweeping. Also, we applied the $Fr{\acute{e}}chet$ distance measure to compute the similarity between a pair of trajectories. We conducted experiments using a set of real GPS data with more than 500 vehicle trajectories obtained from Gangnam-gu, Seoul. The experiment shows that our grid partitioning approach is fast and stable and can be used in real applications for vehicle trajectory clustering.

In a modern society, people are concerned seriously about their travel destinations depending on time, economic problem. In this paper, we propose an non-hierarchical clustering based hybrid recommendation using context knowledge. The proposed method is personalized way of recommended knowledge about preferred travel places according to the user's location, place, and weather. Based on 14 attributes from the data collected through the survey, users with similar characteristics are grouped using a non-hierarchical clustering based hybrid recommendation. This makes more accurate recommendation by weighting implicit and explicit data. The users can be recommended a preferred travel destination without spending unnecessary time. The performance evaluation uses accuracy, recall, F-measure. The evaluation result was shown 0.636 accuracy, 0.723 recall, and 0.676 F-measure.

Various defects occur in concrete structures due to internal and external environments. If there is a defect, it is important to efficiently identify and maintain it because there is a problem with the structural safety of concrete. However, recent deep learning research has focused on cracks in concrete, and studies on exfoliation and contamination are lacking. In this study, focusing on exfoliation and contamination, which are difficult to label, four models were developed and their performance evaluated through unlabelling method, filtering method, the convergence of transfer learning based k-means clustering. As a result of the analysis, the convergence model classified the defects in the most detail and could increase the efficiency compared to direct labeling. It is hoped that the results of this study will contribute to the development of deep learning models for various types of defects that are difficult to label in the future.
In the game of Go, the life-and-death problem is a fundamental problem to be definitely overcome when implementing a computer Go program. To solve local Go problems such as life-and-death problems, an important consideration is how to tackle the game tree's huge branching factor and its depth. The basic idea of the experiment conducted in this article is that we modelled the human behavior to get the recognized first moves to kill the surrounded group. In the game of Go, similar life-and-death problems(patterns) often have similar solutions. To categorize similar patterns, we implemented Kohonen Neural Network(KNN) based clustering and found that the experimental result is promising and thus can compete with a pattern matching method, that uses supervised learning with a neural network, for solving life-and-death problems.

Under pure P2P environments, collaborative filtering must be provided with only a few service items by real time information without accumulated data. However, in case of collaborative filtering with only a few service items collected locally, quality of recommended service becomes low. Therefore, it is necessary to research a method to improve quality of recommended service by users' context information. But because a great volume of users' context information can be recognized in a moment, there can be a scalability problem and there are limitations in supporting differentiated services according to fields and items. In this paper, we solved the scalability problem by clustering context information Per each service field and classifying il per each user, using SOM. In addition, we could recommend proper services for users by measuring the context information of the users belonging to the similar classification to the service requester among classified data and then using collaborative filtering.

Recently, energy harvesting technology has been integrated into wireless sensor networks to ameliorate the nodes' energy limitation problem. In theory, the wireless sensor node equipped with an energy harvesting module can work permanently until hardware failures happen. However, due to the change of power supply, the traditional hierarchical network routing protocol can not be effectively adopted in energy harvesting wireless sensor networks. In this paper, we improve the Low-Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy (LEACH) protocol to make it suitable for the energy harvesting wireless sensor networks. Specifically, the cluster heads are selected according to the estimation of nodes' harvested energy and consumed energy. Preference is given to the nodes with high harvested energy while taking the energy consumption rate into account. The utilization of harvested energy is mathematically formulated as a max-min optimization problem which maximizes the minimum energy conservation of each node. We have proved that maximizing the minimum energy conservation is an NP-hard problem theoretically. Thus, a polynomial time algorithm has been proposed to derive the near-optimal performance. Extensive simulation results show that our proposed routing scheme outperforms previous works in terms of energy conservation and balanced distribution.

In this paper, we propose a new station selection algorithm to solve the illegal parking problem of shared electric scooters and improve the service quality. Recently, as a solution to the urban transportation problem, shared electric scooters are attracting attention as the first and last mile means between public transportation and final destinations. As a result, the shared electric scooter market grew rapidly, problems caused by electric scooters are becoming serious. Therefore, in this study, text data are collected to understand the nature of the problem, and the problems related to shared scooters are viewed from the perspective of pedestrians and users in 'LDA Topic Modeling', and a station extension algorithm is based on this. Some parking lots have already been installed, but the existing parking lot location is different from the actual area of tow. Therefore, in this study, we propose an algorithm that can install stations at high actual tow density using mixed clustering technology using K-means after primary clustering by DBSCAN, reflecting the 'current state of electric scooter tow in Seoul'.
Recent centrally the downtown area, the transaction between the row housing and multiplex housing is activated and platform services such as Zigbang and Dabang are growing. The row housing and multiplex housing is a blind spot for real estate information. Because there is a social problem, due to the change in market size and information asymmetry due to changes in demand. Also, the 5 or 25 districts used by the Seoul Metropolitan Government or the Korean Appraisal Board(hereafter, KAB) were established within the administrative boundaries and used in existing real estate studies. This is not a district classification for real estate researches because it is zoned urban planning. Based on the existing study, this study found that the city needs to reset the Seoul Metropolitan Government's spatial structure in estimating future housing prices. So, This study attempted to classify the area without spatial heterogeneity by the reflected the property price characteristics of row housing and Multiplex housing. In other words, There has been a problem that an inefficient side has arisen due to the simple division by the existing administrative district. Therefore, this study aims to cluster Seoul as a new area for more efficient real estate analysis. This study was applied to the hedonic model based on the real transactions price data of row housing and multiplex housing. And the K-Means Clustering algorithm was used to cluster the spatial structure of Seoul. In this study, data onto real transactions price of the Seoul Row housing and Multiplex Housing from January 2014 to December 2016, and the official land value of 2016 was used and it provided by Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport(hereafter, MOLIT). Data preprocessing was followed by the following processing procedures: Removal of underground transaction, Price standardization per area, Removal of Real transaction case(above 5 and below -5). In this study, we analyzed data from 132,707 cases to 126,759 data through data preprocessing. The data analysis tool used the R program. After data preprocessing, data model was constructed. Priority, the K-means Clustering was performed. In addition, a regression analysis was conducted using Hedonic model and it was conducted a cosine similarity analysis. Based on the constructed data model, we clustered on the basis of the longitude and latitude of Seoul and conducted comparative analysis of existing area. The results of this study indicated that the goodness of fit of the model was above 75 % and the variables used for the Hedonic model were significant. In other words, 5 or 25 districts that is the area of the existing administrative area are divided into 16 districts. So, this study derived a clustering method of row housing and multiplex housing in Seoul using K-Means Clustering algorithm and hedonic model by the reflected the property price characteristics. Moreover, they presented academic and practical implications and presented the limitations of this study and the direction of future research. Academic implication has clustered by reflecting the property price characteristics in order to improve the problems of the areas used in the Seoul Metropolitan Government, KAB, and Existing Real Estate Research. Another academic implications are that apartments were the main study of existing real estate research, and has proposed a method of classifying area in Seoul using public information(i.e., real-data of MOLIT) of government 3.0. Practical implication is that it can be used as a basic data for real estate related research on row housing and multiplex housing. Another practical implications are that is expected the activation of row housing and multiplex housing research and, that is expected to increase the accuracy of the model of the actual transaction. The future research direction of this study involves conducting various analyses to overcome the limitations of the threshold and indicates the need for deeper research.

The passive direction finding cross localization method is widely adopted in passive tracking, therefore there will exist masses of false intersection points. Eliminating these false intersection points correctly and quickly is a key technique in passive localization. A new method is proposed for passive locating and tracking multi-jammer target in this paper. It not only solves the difficulty of determining the number of targets when masses of false intersection points existing, but also solves the initialization problem of elastic network. Thus this method solves the problem of multi-jammer target correlation and the elimination of static false intersection points. The method which dynamically establishes multiple hypothesis trajectory trees solves the problem of eliminating the remaining false intersection points. Simulation results show that computational burden of the method is lower, the elastic network can more quickly find all or most of the targets and have a more probability of locking the real targets. This method can eliminate more false intersection points.
