Scale Development and Validation to Measure Occupational Health Literacy Among Thai Informal Workers

  • Background: The high incidence of work-related diseases and injuries among day-laborers and workers with no legal contracts (informal workers) has received the attention of the Thai authorities. Workers' low occupational health literacy (OHL) has been reasoned as one contributing factor. Absence of a valid tool has prevented assessment of informal workers' OHL. The aim of this study was to create a valid and reliable Occupational Health Literacy Scale within the context of Thai working culture (TOHLS-IF). Methods: This study used the mixed method approach to develop TOHLS-IF. Questions were generated using in-depth interviews and an extensive review of the literature. Experts' assessment confirmed the content validity of TOHLS-IF. The scales of its psychometric properties were assessed in a sample of 400 informal workers using cluster random sampling. Results: The final version of the TOHLS-IF comprises 38 items within 4 dimensions: Ability to Gain Access, Understanding, Evaluation, and Use of occupational health and safety information. Factor analysis identified items explaining 50.22% of the total variance. The final confirmatory analysis confirmed the model estimates were satisfactory for the construct. TOHLS-IF demonstrated a high internal consistency and satisfactory reliability (Cronbach's alpha = .98). Conclusion: The TOHLS-IF is a valid and reliable instrument to assess informal workers' OHL. The structural dimensions of this instrument are based on the concept of health literacy and Thai culture. Thai health professionals are encouraged to benefit from this instrument to assess their workers' OHL and apply findings as guidelines for effective occupational health and safety interventions.

  • 기존의 반도체 생산 공장에서 운용되는 공정설비의 자동화된 웨이퍼 이송을 위한 스케줄링 운용전략에 대한 연구는 일반적으로 특정 공정 환경과 시스템 형태에서 운용되는 이송패턴에 최적화시킨 규칙기반으로 진행되어 왔다. 그러나 이러한 방식은 시스템이나 공정이 달라지면 새로운 규칙이 필요하거나 전체 운용 전략을 변경해야 하는 문제가 발생할 수 있다. 또한, 규칙이 추가될수록 확장, 유지 보수 시에 추가된 규칙들의 상호 연관 작용에 대한 고려가 부족한 경우 예기치 않은 문제를 유발할 시킬 수 있는 위험성을 내포하고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 개선하기 위해 이송패턴이나 설비의 형태에 일반적으로 적용 가능한 동적 우선순위 기반의 기본 이송작업 선택 알고리즘을 제시하였다. 또한 특수한 요구 사항에 대해서는 범용성을 저하시키지 않는 범위 내에서의 최소한의 규칙 처리부를 별도로 관리하는 방식으로 운용 환경 변화에 일관된 스케줄링 정책을 유지하고 확장 시의 안정성 저하를 최소화하여 생산성 향상을 이끌 수 있는 범용 스케줄링 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 이에 대한 검증을 위하여 트윈 슬롯 형태의 반도체 공정설비를 대상으로 모델링 및 시뮬레이션 환경을 구축하였고, 시뮬레이션을 통해 타당성을 검증하였다.

Analysis of Endophytic Bacterial Communities and Investigation of Core Taxa in Apple Trees

  • Fire blight disease, caused by Erwinia amylovora, is a devastating affliction in apple cultivation worldwide. Chemical pesticides have exhibited limited effectiveness in controlling the disease, and biological control options for treating fruit trees are limited. Therefore, a relatively large-scale survey is necessary to develop microbial agents for apple trees. Here we collected healthy apple trees from across the country to identify common and core bacterial taxa. We analyzed the endophytic bacterial communities in leaves and twigs and discovered that the twig bacterial communities were more conserved than those in the leaves, regardless of the origin of the sample. This finding indicates that specific endophytic taxa are consistently present in healthy apple trees and may be involved in vital functions such as disease prevention and growth. Furthermore, we compared the community metabolite pathway expression rates of these endophyte communities with those of E. amylovora infected apple trees and discovered that the endophyte communities in healthy apple trees not only had similar community structures but also similar metabolite pathway expression rates. Additionally, Pseudomonas and Methylobacterium-Methylorobrum were the dominant taxa in all healthy apple trees. Our findings provide valuable insights into the potential roles of endophytes in healthy apple trees and inform the development of strategies for enhancing apple growth and resilience. Moreover, the similarity in cluster structure and pathway analysis between healthy orchards was mutually reinforcing, demonstrating the power of microbiome analysis as a tool for identifying factors that contribute to plant health.

The effect of social network sports community consciousness on sports attitude

  • The purpose of this study is to determine the impact of social network sports community consciousness on loyalty and sports attitude. In order to achieve this research purpose, the population of the study was selected as adult men and women over the age of 20 who are active in the social network sports community in 2022. The sampling method used cluster random sampling to select a total of 300 people, 150 men and 150 women, as research subjects. The survey tool used was the questionnaire method, and the questionnaire whose reliability and validity had been verified in previous studies at home and abroad was used by requoting, modifying, or supplementing it to suit the purpose of this study. It was also structured on a 5-point scale. Frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, simple regression analysis, and multiple regression analysis were performed on the collected data using the statistical program SPSS Windows 20.0 Version. The results obtained through this process are as follows. First, social network sports community consciousness was found to have a partial effect on loyalty. Second, social network sports community consciousness was found to have a partial effect on sports attitudes. Third, social network sports community loyalty was found to have a partial effect on sports attitudes. Considering these results, various activities such as decision-making process, relationship formation, and opinion expression of modern people are carried out by the O-line community. In addition, while in the past it was a format that led from offline activities to online activities, currently, there are more and more formats that lead from online activities to offline activities. Therefore, modern people's SNS sports community activities provide many experiences, which creates a sense of community and sports attitudes are formed based on this. This can be said to lead to loyal activities.

Effect of motivation to participate in horseback riding on emotional style and subjective well-being

  • The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of horseback riding participation motivation on emotional style and subjective well-being. In order to achieve this research objective, adults aged 20 or older participating in equestrian clubs in Seoul, Jeolla-do, and Gyeonggi regions in 2022 were selected as the population. The sampling method used cluster random sampling, and a total of 250 people, 180 males and 120 females, were sampled. The survey tool was modified and supplemented for this study based on a questionnaire whose reliability and validity were verified in previous studies, and all questionnaire questions were structured on a 5-point scale. For data analysis, SPSS Windows 21.0 Version was used to perform statistical processing according to the purpose of analysis. The conclusions obtained in this study through data analysis according to these methods and procedures are as follows. First, the motivation to participate in horseback riding was found to partially affect emotional style. Second, the motivation to participate in horseback riding was found to partially affect subjective well-being. Third, the emotional style of horseback riding participants was found to partially affect subjective well-being. Considering these results, it is possible to satisfy various desires in modern people's lives through leisure sports activities such as horseback riding, which allows them to communicate with nature and living things. In other words, internal motivation factors such as social relationships, satisfaction of needs, and professional development through leisure sports activities are positively or negatively related to emotional regulation, and this has a close impact on satisfaction with one's life and happiness.

파킨슨병 변증 유형 및 지표 분포에 대한 전향적 다기관 관찰연구 프로토콜 (An Observational Multi-Center Study Protocol for Distribution of Pattern Identification and Clinical Index in Parkinson's Disease)

  • Objectives: This study investigated the pattern identification (PI) and clinical index of Parkinson's disease (PD) for personalized diagnosis and treatment. Methods: This prospective observational multi-center study recruited 100 patients diagnosed with PD from two Korean medicine hospitals. To cluster new subtypes of PD, items on a PI questionnaire (heat and cold, deficiency and excess, visceral PI) were evaluated along with pulse and tongue analysis. Gait analysis was performed and blood and feces molecular signature changes were assessed to explore biomarkers for new subtypes. In addition, unified PD rating scale II and III scores and the European quality of life 5-dimension questionnaire were assessed. Results: The clinical index obtained in this study analyzed the frequency statistics and hierarchical clustering analysis to classify new subtypes based on PI. Moreover, the biomarkers and current status of herbal medicine treatment were analyzed using the new subtypes. The results provide comprehensive data to investigate new subtypes and subtype-based biomarkers for the personalized diagnosis and treatment of PD patients. Ethical approval was obtained from the medical ethics committees of the two Korean medicine hospitals. All amendments to the research protocol were submitted and approved. Conclusions: An objective and standardized diagnostic tool is needed for the personalized treatment of PD by traditional Korean medicine. Therefore, we developed a clinical index as the basis for the PI clinical evaluation of PD. Analysis on Domestic Franchise Food Tech Interest by using Big Data

  • Franchise are now a red ocean in Food industry and they need to find other options to appeal for their product, the uprising content, food tech. The franchises are working on R&D to help franchisees with the operations. Through this paper, we analyze the franchise interest on food tech and to help find the necessity of development for franchisees who are in needs with hand, not of human, but of technology. Using Textom, a big data analysis tool, "franchise" and "food tech" were selected as keywords, and search frequency information of Naver and Daum was collected for a year from 01 January, 2023 to 31 December, 2023, and data preprocessing was conducted based on this. For the suitability of the study and more accurate data, data not related to "food tech" was removed through the refining process, and similar keywords were grouped into the same keyword to perform analysis. As a result of the word refining process, a total of 10,049 words were derived, and among them, the top 50 keywords with the highest relevance and search frequency were selected and applied to this study. The top 50 keywords derived through word purification were subjected to TF-IDF analysis, visualization analysis using Ucinet6 and NetDraw programs, network analysis between keywords, and cluster analysis between each keyword through Concor analysis. By using big data analysis, it was found out that franchise do have interest on food tech. "technology", "franchise", "robots" showed many interests and keyword "R&D" showed that franchise are keen on developing food tech to seize competitiveness in Franchise Industry.

해남 모이산 천열수 금은광상의 지구화학적 특성 (Geochemistry of the Moisan Epithermal Gold-silver Deposit in Haenam Area)

  • 전남 해남군 모이산 금광상에서 지구화학적 특성에 대한 연구를 수행하기 위하여 모이산 지표 및 갱내, 대산 지표에서 채취한 총 140개 시료에 대한 지구화학분석결과를 상관분석, 요인분석 그리고 군집분석 등 다변수 통계처리 하였다. 상관분석 결과, 금의 함량이 100 ppb 미만인 비광화대와 100 ppb 이상인 광화대에서 동시에 금과 높은 상관관계를 가지는 원소는 Ag, Cu, Bi, Te 등이며, 이는 연구지역에서 수반되는 함금 은 광석광물들(엘렉트럼, 실바나이트, 칼라버라이트 및 스퉤자이트)과 기타광석광물들(황동석, 텔룰로비스무타이트 및 비스무시나이트)의 산출과 일치된 결과로 인지된다. Mo은 비광화대(0.269)에서 보다 광화대(0.615)에서 상대적으로 높은 상관계수를 가지므로 금광화작용에 의해 그 함량이 강하게 지배되고 있는 것으로 해석된다. Mn, Cs, Fe, Se 등은 비광화대에서는 금과 정의 상관관계를 가지지만 광화대에서는 음의 상관관계를 가지므로 금광화작용 시 모암으로부터 용탈되는 원소군으로 해석된다. Sb은 광화대에서 금과 높은 상관성을 보이지만 비광화대에서는 음의 상관관계를 가지므로 금광화작용 시 부화되는 원소로 지시될 수 있다. 요인분석결과, 비광화대에서 금의 함량에 영향을 받는 요인군에 속하는 원소는 Se, Ag, Cs, Te 등이며 이들은 연구지역 내 비광화대에서 금의 존재 여부를 알려줄 수 있는 원소로 해석될 수 있다. 반면 광화대에서는 Mo과 Te 등이 강하게 금광화작용의 여부를 지시해 주며, 금과 함께 수반되는 은광화작용의 여부를 지시해 줄 수 있는 원소는 Sb과 Cu 등으로 해석된다. 군집분석 결과 비광화대에서 Cd-Zn-Pb-S, Bi-Fe-Cu-Mn, Se-Te-Au-Cs-Ag, As-Sb-Ba 등이 유사한 거동을 보이는 원소군으로 나타나는 반면, 광화대에서는 Cd-Zn-Mn-Pb, Fe-S-Se, As-Bi-Cs, Ag-Sb-Cu, Au-Te-Mo 등이 유사한 거동을 보여주는 원소군으로 나타난다. 이상과 같은 지구화학분석 자료의 다변수 통계처리를 이용하여 금광화대와 비광화대의 산출광물의 거동 및 지구화학적 특성 차이의 비교가 가능하므로 추후 이러한 방법이 이와 유사한 유형의 광상탐사에 유용한 방법으로 적용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

자기조직화 지도를 활용한 성장모형 기반의 시장 성장패턴 지도 구축: ICT제품을 중심으로 (Development of Market Growth Pattern Map Based on Growth Model and Self-organizing Map Algorithm: Focusing on ICT products)

  • 시장 예측은 일정 기간 동안 소비자에게 판매되는 동종 제품 또는 서비스의 수량 혹은 매출액의 규모를 추정하는 활동으로 정의할 수 있다. 정확한 시장 예측은 기업의 입장에서 새로운 제품의 도입시기 결정, 제품 설계, 생산계획 수립, 마케팅 전략 수립 등에 활용됨으로써 경영활동에 있어 효율적인 의사결정을 내릴 수 있게 하고, 정부의 입장에서는 발전 가능성이 있는 분야에 국가예산을 더 배분할 수 있는 효율적인 예산수립이 가능하게 한다. 본 연구는 정보통신기술(Information and Communication Technology: ICT) 분야의 제품 및 서비스에 대해서 과거의 시계열 자료를 이용하여 시장 성장곡선을 도출하고, 성장패턴이 비슷한 그룹으로 분류하여, 산업 내 시장에 대해 이해하고, 제품들의 미래 전망을 예측하는 데 목적이 있다. 다양한 아이템들을 통일되고 일관적인 방법으로 예측하기 위하여, 로지스틱 모형, 곰페르츠 모형, Bass 모형의 세 가지 전통적인 성장모형과 로지스틱 모형이나 곰페르츠 모형에서 도출되는 잠재시장 크기를 Bass 모형에 결합시킨 두 가지 하이브리드 성장모형을 개발하여 비교 분석하였다. 데이터 설명력이 우수한 로지스틱 + Bass 모형을 최적의 모형으로 선정하여 ICT 제품 및 서비스들 각각의 시장 성장곡선 모수를 확인하였다. 도출된 모수를 데이터로 하여, 자기조직화 지도 알고리즘을 통해, 5개의 의미 있는 영역으로 구분된 시장 성장패턴 지도가 구축되었는데, 각 영역별로 차별화된 특징과 성장패턴을 가지고 있었다. 본 연구에서 제안한 프로세스 및 시스템은 산업 시장 분석 시스템의 수요 예측 기능으로 활용될 수 있으며, ICT 산업뿐만 아니라 다양한 산업 및 분야에도 적용 가능할 것으로 기대된다.

소비자의 라이프스타일에 따른 서비스품질 지각 차이에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Consumer's Service Quality Perception Based on the Types of Life-style)

  • For the last decades, service quality has been studied as one of the most important tools for a service company to compete with the other companies. Based on these past researches, it has been agreed that the service quality is a basic and powerful tool to create the competitive advantage. Due to similar reason, many service marketing practitioners have been also focused on the service quality to retain the existing consumers and collect the new consumers. However, service quality is subjectively perceived by individual consumers. Consumer evaluation of service quality can be different from each other. Especially consumers with one life-style may evaluate the service quality differently from the consumers with the other life-styles. Therefore we need to know whether there are differences in service quality perception on the categories of life-style. Life-style refers to a distinctive mode of living in its aggregate and broadest sense. It embodies the patterns that were developed and emerged from the dynamics of living in a society. Since the concept of life-style and its relationship to marketing was introduced in 1963 by William Lazer, methods of measuring the life-style and their application have been developed. Life-style has been usually used to segment the marketplace because it offers marketers a unique and important view of the market. When Life-style is combined with clustering methods, life-style segmentation can generate identifiable whole persons rather than isolated fragment. Life-style segmentation begins with people instead of products and classifies them into different life-style types, each characterized by a unique style of living based on a wide range of activities, interests, and opinions(Plummer, 1974). In this study we applies the life-style segmentation based on the AIO(Activities, Interests, and Opinions) to the consumers of the large discount stores. In Korea, the large discount store market has entered into maturity stage so that the market differentiation strategy is becoming a more critical issue to the marketing practitioners. One of the most important tools to differentiate from the competitors in large discount store market is continuously to provide service of better quality than competitors. This study tries to find answers about the following questions: 1) How can we categorize the consumer life-styles in the large discount store? 2) What are the characteristics of the categorized groups? 3) Are there any differences in service quality perception among the consumers with different life-styles 4) Are there any differences in consumer behavior among them in the large discount store? For the purpose, we collected survey data from consumers and analyzed the data with the SPSS package where we had $X^2$-test, factor analysis, ANOVA, MANOVA, and cluster analysis. The survey was made during one month in the April of 2008. Among the collected 306 copies of questionnaires, 281 copies were chosen as the effective samples for empirical analysis except 25 copies with wrong responses. To identify the life-style patterns, we used the measures employed by Kim and Kwon(1999), where 44 items on a seven-point scale were used to measure factors of the life-style patterns. The Principal Component Method was used for factor extraction, and the VARIMAX orthogonal factor rotation was employed. The 7 items showing low factor loading were eliminated. The results of the factor analysis suggested that nine factors of the life-style patterns were identified as follows: 1) the equality-of-sexes and pursuit-of-independence tendency 2) self-management tendency 3) sociable tendency 4) self-display tendency 5) degree of a dilettante life 6) pursuit-of-information tendency 7) bargain hunter tendency 8) TV preference tendency 9) pursuit-of-leisure tendency. Next, after the K-means cluster analysis was performed with nine factors of the life-style patterns, the life-styles of the respondents were classified into four groups which are named as the 'progressive practicality-oriented group', 'positive success-oriented group', 'sociable ostentation-oriented group', 'stable conservation-oriented group'. The analysis results for usage behavior between the market segments showed statistically significant differences in the frequency of usage, duration time in the store, consumer satisfaction, and loyalty. Also, we tried to investigate whether the large discount store consumers differently perceive the quality of service based upon the types of life-style. To measure the service quality of large discount store, we adapted several measurement models measuring the service quality such as SERVPERF, BCP, R-SERVPERF, R-BCP. MANOVA and One-Way ANOVA were performed to confirm the difference in service quality perception based on the market segments. The results have also shown significant differences between life-style types in service quality perception. These findings show that the large discount store marketers should consider consumer life-style as one of the most important market segments for marketing and understand the difference in service quality perception between life-style types. Our findings give important implications to marketers of large discount stores as well as life-style researchers. First, this study showed there were significant differences in consumer's service quality perception and usage behavior between the types of life-style. It provides evidence that the life-style approach can be a important basis in segmenting the large discount store market and will make consumers perceive the service quality high. Second, most previous researches on service quality have been in aggregate level. However, our results imply that the future research on service quality have to focus on segment level.
