The Influence of Tangible Clues of Raw-fish Restaurants on Consumers' Emotional Responses & Repurchasing Behavior in East-northern Area of Kangwon-Province (강원도 영동권 지역 생선회 전문점의 유형적 근거가 고객의 감정반응과 재구매 행동에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this article was to study the influence of tangible clues of raw-fish restaurants on consumers' emotional responses and repurchasing behavior in eastern area of Kangwon-province. In this study frequency analysis, reliability analysis, factor analysis and path analysis(SEM) were applied to analyze the data. Through path analysis tangible clues' performances had generally significant influences upon consumers' emotional responses to buy products of raw-fish restaurants. According to the results, exterior facility had positive influence on pleasure(p<0.001) and arousal(p<0.01). Interior facility had positive influence on pleasure(p<0.001) and arousal(p<0.001), but negative on dominance(p<0.01). And the others had positive influence on pleasure(p<0.05). Press copy had positive influence on pleasure(p<0.001) and arousal(p<0.001). And Pleasure and arousal had positive influence on repurchasing behavior(p<0.001). But Dominance didn't have significant influence on repurchasing behavior. As a result, we studied that the tangible clues was an effective marketing tactic to maintain and increase consumers' positive emotional reponses to repurchase at restaurants. Therefore it is finally needed that dining-out corporations manage tangible clues in a customer-maintaining without additional costs, and especially to use mixing tangible clues each other in some suitable condition.

The Influences of Tangible Clues on Customer's Perceived Risk and Satisfaction at Family-Restaurants (Focused on University Students in Seoul) (패밀리레스토랑의 유형적 단서가 고객의 지각된 위험 및 만족에 미치는 영향(서울지역 대학생을 대상으로))

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the influences of tangible clues on university students' perceived risks and satisfaction at family-restaurants in Seoul. The performances of 3 tangible clues(physical evidence, employee, service process) negatively influenced the student's perceived risks. This result indicated that tangible clues can reduce the negative characteristics of service (intangibility, inseparability, perishability and variability) toward student customers at family restaurants. Meanwhile, financial risk, performance risk and social risk negatively influenced their overall satisfaction. Performance risk had the strongest negative influence on student customers' overall satisfaction, indicating that university students were much more interested in performance and utility about menu, food and service quality than in other factors at family restaurants. As a result, food-service corporations need to manage suitably various tangible clues as an important marketing strategy to diminish their customers' perceived risk and raise their satisfaction.

The Influence of Visible Clues on Non-visible Clues in Context of Franchise Family Restaurants (프랜차이즈 패밀리레스토랑의 유형적 요소가 무형적 요소에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was conducted to examine the relationships among various visible clues and non-visible clues as perceived by franchise family restaurant consumers. Using online survey tool in South Korea, total 450 survey was distributed and 400 participants were used for further statistical analysing with SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 20.0. Twelve items were categorized into four visible factors (food, interior, exterior, employee). The result shows that food and employee have positive effects on brand reputation and distinctiveness, and the interior and employee were critical antecedents for brand distinctiveness. In addition, the brand reputation and brand distinctiveness have positive influence on experiential value as well as revisit intention. Although there were many studies which demonstrated the relationships among various quality clues and other outcome variables, such as brand image, loyalty, little research explained the relationships among visible elements of franchise family restaurants, brand reputation, brand distinctiveness, and revisit intention. The present study will provide theoretical and practical implications for both academia and the franchise family restaurant industry. (what is the meaning of the red part?)

Influence of Informational Clues on Subjective Knowledge, Concern, and Satisfaction and Behavioral Intention toward Healthy Foods in Full-service Restaurants

  • The purpose of current study is to verify a formulated model that explains the influence of informational clues(Nutritional label information and Mass media information) on subjective knowledge, concern, satisfaction, and behavioral intention toward healthy foods in context of full-service restaurants. The results of present study demonstrated that all informational clues have significant influence on both knowledge and concern about health and the significant relationships were confirmed between knowledge, concern, emotional pleasure, and behavioral intention. This study may contribute to develop meaningful marketing strategic for healthy foods in full-service sector, and it can be utilized as a critical study to establish an attractive business strategics to increase revenue as well as satisfy healthy foods consumers in full-service restaurant consumers.

A Method of Supervised Word Sense Disambiguation Using Decision Lists Based on Syntactic Clues (구문관계에 기반한 단서의 결정 리스트를 이용한 지도학습 어의 애매성 해결 방법)

  • This paper presents a simple method of supervised word sense disambiguation using decision lists based on syntactic clues. This approach focuses on the syntactic relations between the given ambiguous word and surrounding words in context for resolving a given sense ambiguity. By identifying and utilizing only the single best disambiguation evidence in a given context instead of combining a set of clues, the algorithm decides the correct sense. Experiments with 10 Korean verbs show that adding syntactic clues to a basic set of surrounding context words improves 33% higher performance than baseline accuracy. In addition, our method using decision lists is 3% higher than a method using integration of all disambiguation evidences.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop and test a model that explains the effect of perceived service factors on: 1) experienced value, 2) trust, and 3) loyalty in context of franchise snack bar. In addition, the study will clarify how these variables relate to each other. The findings of this study identified that functional and humanic clues are the most significant components which influence on experiential value as well as trust in franchise snack bar sector. These findings may contribute to provide valuable marketing strategic for this business segmentation, and it can be utilized as a fundamental study to establish an efficient business plan to increase revenue in the industry.

The Effect of Good and Bad Luck on Reasoning (행운과 불운이 추론에 미치는 효과)

  • Good and bad luck is an important factor that frequently affects human information processing. However, in spite of its significance, few studies have been done to examine how good and bad luck influences information processing and reasoning. The current research was performed to explore the effect of good and bad luck on reasoning and, for this, two experiments were conducted. In experiment 1, participants were primed with good or bad luck and were asked to make an inference for a given murder case and include as many as clues for it, while in experiment 2, participants were asked to exclude as many as clues for the same murder case. Results show that, in experiment 1, participants who were primed with good luck included more clues than those who were primed with bad luck. However, in Experiment 2, it was found that participants who were primed with bad luck excluded more clues than those who were primed with good luck. Findings from this study indicate that priming good luck enhances holistic thinking which leads to including more and excluding less clues whereas priming bad luck increases analytic thinking which leads to including less and excluding more clues. Implications of this study for inference and decision making, consumer behavior, and addict psychology are discussed.

  • This study, as a successive study of Ko(1998a) which investigates the effect of vowel length contrast on the voicing of the word-final consonants in English, examines if other phonetic features of word-final stops themselves affect the Perception of their voicing. They are closure duration, voicing status during closure period, release portion. 68 Korean students learning English as a second language in Wonkwang University participate as subjects for this study. The results showed that they are not important clues to Korean students to the voicing identification of the word-final stops in English.

Algorithm for Candidate Clue Decision based on Magic Rule in Kakuro Puzzle (가꾸로 퍼즐에 관한 마법 규칙 기반 실마리 후보 결정 알고리즘)

  • Kakuro puzzles are NP-complete problems where no way to solve puzzles in polynomial time is known. Until now, a brute-force search method or a linear programming method has been applied to substitute all possible cases. This paper finds a magic rule, a rule for box sizes and unfilled numbers according to sum clues. Based on the magic rule, numbers that cannot enter empty cells were deleted from the box for row and column sum clues. Next, numbers that cannot enter the box were deleted based on the sum clue value. Finally, cells with only a single number were confirmed as clues. As a result of applying the proposed algorithm to seven benchmarking experimental data, it was shown that solutions could be obtained for all problems.

  • The purpose of this research is support blind person's daily walking. In order to achieve the purpose, we investigate how the environmental information is used for their daily walking both in residential and commercial areas considering the characteristics of walking. In the investigation, interview to the persons concerned is carried out and all the conversation with them is recorded with a voice recorder. Moreover, the environmental information that may become clues is plotted on a map together with photos. The results are as follows; (1) Environmental information which the blind persons use is different depending on the role of its own of place, such as place confirmation, direction decision, distance understanding. (2) It is demonstrated that the information acquisition from sound is effective when they especially understand place and location.
