Mobile Cloud Computing is today's emerging technology. Customers enjoy the services and application from this combination of mobile technology and cloud computing. Beside all these benefits it also increases the concerns regarding privacy of users, while interacting with this new paradigm One of the services is Location based services, but to get their required services user has to give his/her current location to the LBS provider that is violation of location privacy of mobile client. Many approaches are in literature for preserve location privacy but some has computation restriction and some suffer from lack of privacy. In this paper we proposed a novel idea that not only efficient in its protocol but also completely preserves the user's privacy. The result shows that by sharing just service name and a large enough geographic area (e.g. a city) user gets required information from the server by doing little client side processing We perform experiments at client side by developing and testing an android based mobile client application to support our argument.

With the continuous development of cloud storage, plenty of redundant data exists in cloud storage, especially multimedia data such as images and videos. Data deduplication is a data reduction technology that significantly reduces storage requirements and increases bandwidth efficiency. To ensure data security, users typically encrypt data before uploading it. However, there is a contradiction between data encryption and deduplication. Existing deduplication methods for regular files cannot be applied to image deduplication because images need to be detected based on visual content. In this paper, we propose a secure image deduplication scheme based on hashing and clustering, which combines a novel perceptual hash algorithm based on Local Binary Pattern. In this scheme, the hash value of the image is used as the fingerprint to perform deduplication, and the image is transmitted in an encrypted form. Images are clustered to reduce the time complexity of deduplication. The proposed scheme can ensure the security of images and improve deduplication accuracy. The comparison with other image deduplication schemes demonstrates that our scheme has somewhat better performance.

A variety of evaluation application and initiatives on the adoption of Building Information Modelling (BIM) have been introduced in recent years. Most of which however, focused mainly on evaluating design to construction phase-processes, or BIM utilization performances. Through studying existing publications, it is found that continuous utilization of BIM data throughout the building's life cycle is comparatively less explored or documented. Therefore, this study looks at improving this incomplete life cycle condition with the concept that accumulated BIM data should be carried forward and statistically quantified for cross comparison, in order to facilitate practitioners to better improve the projects the future. Based on this conceptual theory of moving towards a closedloop BIM building life cycle, this study explores, through existing literature, the use of cloud based computing as the means to quantify and adaptively utilize BIM data. Categorization of BIM data relations in adaptive utilization of BIM data is then suggested as a initial step for enhancing cross comparison of BIM data in a cloud environment.

Cloud computing is an up-and-coming paradigm shift transforming computing models from a technology to a utility. However, security concerns related to privacy, confidentiality and trust are among the issues that threaten the wide deployment of cloud computing. With the advancement of ubiquitous mobile-based clients, the ubiquity of the model suggests a higher integration in our day to day life and this leads to a rise in security issues. To strengthen the access control of cloud resources, most organizations are acquiring Identity Management Systems (IDM). This paper presents one of the most popular IDM systems, specifically OAuth, working in the scope of Mobile Cloud Computing which has many weaknesses in its protocol flow. OAuth is a Delegated Authorization protocol, and not an Authentication protocol and this is where the problem lies. This could lead to very poor security decisions around authentication when the basic OAuth flow is adhered to. OAuth provides an access token to a client, so that it can access a protected resource, based on the permission of the resource owner. Many researchers have opted to implement OpenlD alongside OAuth so as to solve this problem. But OpenlD similarly has several security flows. This paper presents scenarios of how insecure implementations of OAuth can be abused maliciously. We incorporate an authentication protocol to verify the identities before authorization is carried out.

In this paper, we propose an edge cloud platform architecture for implementing smart factory. The edge cloud platform is one of edge computing architecture which is mainly focusing on the efficient computing between IoT devices and central cloud. So far, edge computing has put emphasis on reducing latency, bandwidth and computing cost in areas like smart homes and self-driving cars. On the other hand, in this paper, we suggest not only common functional architecture of edge system but also light weight cloud based architecture to apply to the specialized requirements of smart factory. Cloud based edge architecture has many advantages in terms of scalability and reliability of resources and operation of various independent edge functions compare to typical edge system architecture. To make sure the availability of edge cloud platform in smart factory, we also analyze requirements of smart factory edge. We redefine requirements from a 4M1E(man, machine, material, method, element) perspective which are essentially needed to be digitalized and intelligent for physical operation of smart factory. Based on these requirements, we suggest layered(IoT Gateway, Edge Cloud, Central Cloud) application and data architecture. we also propose edge cloud platform architecture using lightweight container virtualization technology. Finally, we validate its implementation effects with case study. we apply proposed edge cloud architecture to the real manufacturing process and compare to existing equipment engineering system. As a result, we prove that the response performance of the proposed approach was improved by 84 to 92% better than existing method.

Due to the rapid growth of mobile devices and applications, mobile cloud computing is becoming an important platform in the development of cloud services. However, the mobile cloud computing is facing many challenges in terms of the computing resources and communications. One of them is the performance issue between mobile devices and cloud server. In the paper, we implemented a hadoop-based android mobile application, called mobile TPC-C, and used it for evaluating the performance aspect between mobile devices and cloud server. The mobile TPC-C was implemented based on the existing TPC-C, to make it possible to execute on top of android mobile devices. The performance measurement using mobile TPC-C was executed on various transactions while changing the number of mobile clients. By comparing it to the evaluation on the personal PC, we tried to point out the important aspects affecting the performance improvement between mobile clients and cloud server.

Cloud computing has been gaining popularity over decades, and container, a technology that is primarily used in cloud native applications, is also drawing attention. Although container technologies are lighter and more capable than conventional VMs, there are several security threats, such as sharing kernels with host systems or uploading/downloading images from the image registry. one of which can refer to the integrity of container images. In addition, runtime security while the container application is running is very important, and monitoring the behavior of the container application at runtime can help detect abnormal behavior occurring in the container. Therefore, in this paper, first, we implement a signing checker that automatically checks the signature of an image based on the existing Docker Content Trust (DCT) technology to ensure the integrity of the container image. Next, based on falco, an open source project of Cloud Native Computing Foundation(CNCF), we introduce newly created image for the convenience of existing falco image, and propose implementation of docker-compose and package configuration that easily builds a monitoring system.
In accordance with the cloud conversion of public sector information systems and the implementation of cloud native introduction policies, review items were presented to review the cloud native of information systems for stable and efficient cloud native deployment. By presenting cloud native considerations when promoting a project, we propose a plan to flexibly respond to policy and business changes and improve development quality and productivity to operate cloud services stably. In order for information project managers to switch to a cloud-native-based information system in order to efficiently utilize the cloud as a cloud, they must decide whether to introduce cloud-native through suitability review questions and sufficiently review development and operation costs and efficiency to promote the project. As a result of conducting a focus group interview (FGI) with a council of cloud native experts, there was an opinion that information systems can be operated in a cloud-native manner even with a monolithic structure. By fully considering the circumstances of each system, development quality and productivity, we expect to be able to operate improved to provide a stable cloud service.

Companies have made an investment of cost and time to optimize processing of a new business model in a cloud environment, applying collaboration technology utilizing business processes in a social network. The collaborative processing method changed from traditional BPM to the cloud and a mobile cloud environment. We proposed a collaborative system for operating processes in social networks using MOXMDR-DAI+ (eXtended Metadata Registry-Data Access & Integration based multimedia ontology). The system operating cloud-based collaborative processes in application of MOXMDR-DAI+, which was suitable for data interoperation. MOXMDR-DAI+ applied to this system was an agent effectively supporting access and integration between multimedia content metadata schema and instance, which were necessary for data interoperation, of individual local system in the cloud environment, operating collaborative processes in the social network. In operating the social network-based collaborative processes, there occurred heterogeneousness such as schema structure and semantic collision due to queries in the processes and unit conversion between instances. It aimed to solve the occurrence of heterogeneousness in the process of metadata mapping using MOXMDR-DAI+ in the system. The system proposed in this study can visualize business processes. And it makes it easier to operate the collaboration process through mobile support. Real-time status monitoring of the operation process is possible through the dashboard, and it is possible to perform a collaborative process through expert search using a community in a social network environment.
AVHRR(Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer) on NOAA satellite provides data in five spectral, one in visible range, one in near infrared and three in thermal range. In this paper, application of NOAA/AVHRR data is studied for environment monitoring such as cloud top temperature, surface temperature, albedo, sea surface temperature, vegetation index, forest fire, flood, snow cover and so on. The analyses for cloud top temperature, surface temperature, albedo, sea surface temperature, vegetation index and forest fire showed reasonable agreement. But monitoring for flood and snow cover was uneasy due to the limitations such as cloud contamination, low spatial resolution. So this research had only simple purpose to identify well-defined waterbody for dynamic monitoring of flood. Based on development of these basic algorithms, we have a plan to further reseach for environment monitoring using AVHRR data.
