This study focuses on clothing as one of the most seasonal products and investigates consumer behavior related to climate change adaptation. This study addressed four objectives: (1) to identify the clothing behavior of consumers for the adaptation to climate change; (2) to identify the effects of fashion involvement and climate sensitivity on clothing attitude for the adaptation to climate change; (3) to identify the effect of clothing purchase time on climate sensitivity and clothing attitude for the adaptation to climate change; and (4) to identify the effect of consumer demographics on climate sensitivity and clothing attitude for the adaptation to climate change. A survey questionnaire was developed and implemented to collect data for measuring clothing involvement, fashion involvement, and climate sensitivity. In addition, clothing involvement, clothing assortment needs, and clothing worn for the adaptation to climate change were measured. A total of 349 responses were analyzed by t-test, ANOVA and path analysis with SPSS18.0. The results of the analysis are as follows. Changes in temperature were considered more important than changes in weather for the functional needs of clothing, purchase needs, and assortment items needs. The assortment items wearing for the adaptation to climate change varied depending on the temperature and weather. Fashion involvement directly influenced clothing assortment needs and indirectly influenced the clothing worn for the adaptation to climate change. In terms of clothing purchase time, those purchasing clothing before the season begins, tended to have a high fashion involvement and clothing attitude for the adaptation to climate change. Those in their twenties and single, tended to be more sensitive to climate change. This study also discusses the implications for merchandising strategies.
The study surveyed preference and Actual Condition of wedding fashion masterpiece brand by consumer's lifestyle group. First, it was found that the brand preference by wedding fashion masterpiece consumer was Bulgari in precious metal, Burberry in scarf, Louisvuitton in bag and Chanel in cosmetics. Second, as a study result of purchase status, wedding fashion masterpiece brand consumers, who enjoy shopping about 1 time a month, usually purchased the masterpiece in masterpiece hall of department store. Their total purchase amount for wedding was less than 5 million in most cases. Third, regarding purchase-experience brand by consumer's lifestyle group, in clothes, there was significant difference between 4 groups such as shopping unconcerned type, reasonable economic type, self-focused brand-oriented type and social achievement type. In bag, slight difference appeared in 4 groups. Fourth, as a study result of the brand preference by consumer's lifestyle group, there was somewhat significant difference between precious metal, clothes, scarf, bag and cosmetic variables. Fifth, as a study result of the difference of information source use by consumer's lifestyle group, it was found that social achievement type used most various sources such as commerce, store and personnel information. Sixth, as a study result of shopping trend by consumer's lifestyle group, social achievement group searched for pleasure, unique personality and ostentation. Shopping unconcerned type searched for necessary shopping with comfortable style without sparing time in shopping.

As the result, the students wore 1~2 pieces of school uniform, which showed that it was hard to keep them clean by washing them often. The satisfaction level of school uniform was not high, The lowest item was the price. Therefore, to increase the satisfaction level of the school uniforms and also to increase the sanitary level of the school uniforms, it was advisable to purchase a recycled school uniform at cheaper prices to have an extra set. For a vitalization of the recycled school uniforms, the middle school technology/home economy subjects were reviewed. In the topic of "clothing acquisition plan and purchase", the themes of planned purchase, overconsumption of clothing and environmental pollution were discussed and included preferable behaviors for disposal. The topic of "clothing manufacturing and recycling" listed recycling the clothes that are not worn or exchanging them with neighbors as well as suggesting methods to illicit environment-friendly behaviors and carrying them out. However, some textbooks only briefly explained the methods of recycling and more detailed and practical methods need to be suggested in the curriculum. In addition, the contents regarding the environment in the clothing topic need to be supplemented more and more changes, such as related education plans or data development, are required. With the subjects of male consumers in their 20s to 40s living in the Ningbo area in Zhejiang Province, this study aims to investigate into the reality of their purchase attitude and size fitness of ready-made suits. The results are as follows; Looking into their demographic characteristics, 70.6% of the subjects were twenties, 60.6% were single, and educational career stood in the order of college, middle school, and high school graduation. They were largely absorbed in free trade, followed by teaching, commerce and service industry. 59.6% of them were Zhejiang Province belongs. One to two thousand yuan was the greatest portion of their monthly income. As for their purchase attitude of ready-made suits, they thought higher of material, quality, activity, and solidity than of design. They preferred to buy clothes at a department store. There was significant difference between purchase frequency and purchase price according to monthly income and jobs. Concerning brand recognition, the Chinese subjects favored "Youngor." Though Korea's brands were very lowly recognized, Korean products received really high recognition. Compared with China's brands, they found foreign brands excellent in design, followed by material/matter, wear, and sewing. As to their physical satisfaction and the size fitness of clothes, most subjects felt happy with their sizes. Trousers and jackets were among the unfitting suit items, while the girth of waist was the least satisfactory size. Therefore, in order to raise the market occupation rate of Korean suit goods in China, more aggressive marketing strategies are required to utilize the current Korean-style entertainment and maximize concerning brand images. In particular, outstanding products in consideration of prices should be made through the proper patternmaking to reflect the body types of the Chinese.
This study tries to search and analyze empirically the clothing merchandise purchase motivation and behavior made by foreign visitors who bought clothes as tour memorials in South Korea. To make a empirical study we made survey research and evaluated 30 items for the survey of clothing purchase motivation and 25 items for the survey of the importance and satisfaction revealed at the time of purchase with the standard of Likert 5 point. We had chosen 614 sample participants including 176 English speakers, 211 Japanese speakers, and 277 Chinese speakers among those foreign tourists who had purchased clothing materials at the Dongdaemun Shopping Mall. The result of analysis is as follows : As the result of factor analysis about the clothing merchandise purchase, we had 6 factors. They are (1)impulse, (2)utility, (3)fashionableness, (4)tour commemoration (5)psychology (6)economy. As the result of cluster analysis based on the standard of selected 6 factors of clothing merchandise purchase motivation, we could divide three groups such as (1)the pursuit type of clothing merchandise purchase, (2)the pursuit type of recreation of feeling (3)the pursuit type of tour memorial. As the result of analysis on the items of purchased clothing merchandise, the highest frequency of purchase was made by T-shirt, then by the order of sweater, blouse, and aloha shirt, pants, and jacket. In regard to the importance of items related to clothing merchandise, the highest importance was made by design, then by the order of price, size, color and utility, and style. In regard to the items related to the service of shopping mall, the highest satisfaction was made by the convenience of business hour. Meanwhile, the lowest satisfaction was made by the inconvenience of fitting room, the speaking and by ability of foreign languages by sales agents.

The purpose of this study was to segment Chinese career women by experience in purchasing Korean clothing and to analyze and compare clothing purchasing behavior between the 2 groups and to provide useful information to Korean manufacturers for establishment of marketing strategies for China. The subjects were 602 career women of middle and high class In their 20's and 30's. A total of 602 questionnaires were analyzed by using frequency, mean, Cronbach's $\alpha$, factor analysis, t-test and $X^2$-analysis. The results were as follows: 1. The demographic variables such as an age, residential city, marriage, and total monthly income were proven to be significantly different between the 2 groups except an academic background. 2. The clothing purchase behavior variables such as purchasing motive, using informants, clothing selection standards, store selection standards, purchasing place, satisfaction after purchasing clothes, shopping time, average monthly expenditure on clothing, purchasing frequency of casual wear, purchasing price, and paying method were proven to be significantly different between the 2 groups. However, the clothing purchase behavior variables such as purchasing frequency of formal wear and purchasing price of fur coat and sweater were proven not to be significantly different between the 2 groups.
The objectives of this study were to examine how clothing design preference and clothing attitude vary according to gender of the aging. Using the data collected through interview with 200 subjects who were 60years of age and older residing at Kunsan city area in Korea. These data were analyzed by frequency and $\chi$$^2$-test. The tendency of the gender on jacket stymie preference showed that men liked the soutien collar jacket, two button sing1e Jacket, and four button double jacket, women liked two button single jacket, three button single Jacket and four button double jacket. The general preference did allot depend on the practical purchasing. Men preferred more the soutien collar jacket than the women. On the shirts pattern preference, men liked thick horizon and plaid pattern, while the women liked polk dots pattern and small flowered one. The practical clothing purchase was done by themselves directly. The important criteria depended on the appearance style like simple and smart. For the main complaining factor to purchase the clothes, men considered the color, and women complained not to have suitable shopping stores. The most of all complaining was the expensive prices.
This study put its major concern in consumer behavior during a purchase of fashion products through the Internet marketing channels. Therefore, it investigated the Internet shopping and tried to find the reasons why clothes shopping through the Internet marketing channels is not popular enough. Then, alternative marketing strategies would be suggested which is accessible from the relationship marketing approach. The study adopted a qualitative research method to implement those purposes. In-depth interviews were conducted with the interviewees who had an experience of buying a fashion merchandise through the Internet or who had such an intention. And the information on stages of decision-making process and actual purchase was obtained by participating in and observing the process. The results revealed stages of decision-making in purchasing a fashion product through the Internet channels, the process of relationship development, and the elements of relationship marketing which affect purchase intention. The elements of relationship marketing to promote a purchase of a clothing product via the Internet marketing channels included convenience; communication and socal experience; sensual information; risk acknowledgement and pursuit for safety; and usage of complexed marketing channels. Based on these, a few strategic points such as remote reality, database of communication basis, strengthening individualized services, and development of complex marketing channels were suggested.
With the advancement of information and communication technology, the market of Internet-based fashion/coordination shopping malls have been considerably increasing year by year. As the number of these Internet shopping malls increases, the operators of the malls tend to decorate the first page of their websites with a variety of events and samples of the best-fit upper-lower clothing pairs. They try to provide visitors of their web sites with products that can induce fresh impression by modifying the first page on a daily or a few days basis. If pairs of best-fit upper-lower clothes for various products available in online shopping malls can be calculated and marked, it would help not only to make the first page of the malls more appealing but also to enable users to purchase linked products in a more convenient way, replacing the recommendations usually made by offline clerks. In the paper, we present the results of designing and implementing an upper-lower clothes matching system in which expert coordinators register matching-value of upper and lower clothes in the form of attribute-value matrix.
This study aims to present the basic information on ready-made clothes production for middle-aged women by examining the clothing-related problems due to the body-shape changes of middle-aged women, and accordingly analyzing the satisfaction level with the purchasing and size of ready-made clothes among the 40-50's women. For this study, a survey was conducted to find out the satisfaction level with the purchasing and size of ready-made clothes. Among the total of 450 copies of questionnaires, 443 were collected, 400 of which were used in the analysis leaving out the rest imperfect ones. SPSS 11.0 Program was used in data analysis to get the frequency and percentage of each item. As for the preferred styles according to the age, respondents aged 45-49 preferred sweaters and trousers most, while most of middle-aged women preferred blouses and trousers most. As for the preferred styles according to occupations and body figures, most of middle-aged women preferred blouses and trousers most. The findings of this study examining the actual conditions of ready-made clothes purchase and wearing, and size satisfaction among the 40-50's women, who will be at the center of the aging populations in the Super-aged society highlight the need to correct the problems of adherence only to the prices, measures, and aesthetic aspects of fashion trends, to meet the requirements and preferences of ready-made clothes for aging women, and fulfill satisfactory functions according to the body figures in the upcoming Super-aged society.
