The chemical formula of indapamide is 3-(aminosulfonyl)-4-chloro-N-(2,3-dihydro-2-methyl-1H-indol-l-yl)-benzamide, Indapamide is an oral antipertensive diuretic agent indicated for the treatment of hypertensive and edema. Indapamide inhibits carbonic anhydrase enzyme. Transdermal drug delivery systems, as compared to their corresponding classical oral or injectable dosage form counterparts, offer many advantages. The most important advantages are improved systemic bioavailability of the pharmaceutical active ingredients (PAI), because the first-pass metabolism by the liver and digestive system are avoided; and the controlled, constant drug delivery profile (that is, controlled zero-order absorption). Also of importance is the reduced dose frequency compared to the conventional oral dosage forms (that is, once-a-day, twice-a-week or once-a-week). Other benefits include longer duration of therapeutic action from a single application, and reversible action. For example, patches can be removed to reverse any adverse effects that may be caused by overdosing. In order to evaluate the effects of vehicles and penetration enhancers on skin permeation of Indapamide, the skin permeation rates of Indapamide from vehicles of different composition were determined using Franz cells fitted with excised hairless skins. Solubility of Indapamide in various solvents was investigated to select a vehicle suitable for the percutaneous absorption of Indapamide, The solvents used were Tween80, Tween20, Labrasol, Lauroglycol90 (LG90) and Peceol. Lauroglycol90 increase the permeability of indapamide approximately 3.75-fold compared with the control. Tween80, Tween20, Labrasol, Lauroglycol90 (LG90) and Peceol showed flux of $0.06ug/cm^2/hr,\;0.4ug/cm^2/hr,\;0.21ug/cm^2/hr,\;0.72ug/cm^2/hr,\;0.29ug/cm^2/hr$, respectively.

In this study, new manganese oxide (i.e., black-birnessite) particles with nanostructures were prepared and its physico-chemical properties and oxidative-transformation efficiency on 1,4-naphthoquinine(1,4-NPQ) in the presence of reactive mediator was investigated. The results were also compared with that of the manganese oxide (i.e., brown-birnessite) particles synthesized by classical McKenzie method. Analysis of XRD and SEM data show that the particles are a single phase corresponding to a birnessite-based manganese oxide with cotton ball-like shapes containing nanofibers. In batch experiments, removals of 1,4-NPQ by the black-birnessite follows pseudo-first-order kinetics and the rate constant values obtained are greater about 2.3 times than that of the brown-birnessite in spite of its lower surface area (41.0 vs 19.80 $m^2/g$). The results can be explained by the higher crystallinity and nano structured features of the back-birnessite particles, which give higher reactivity for the removals of the quinone compound. HPLC analysis of the reaction products confirmed that the balck-birnessites removed 1,4-NPQ through cross-coupling reaction in the presence of catechol as a reactive mediator.
This paper reports our experimental study with Korean-Chinese (=KC) bilinguals as compared with Korean monolinguals. We aim to find KC bilingual speakers' sentence processing strategies, and the interaction between the Ll and U2 grammars in bilingual development. To this end, we recruited 166 subjects of all age groups from age 3 to adult in the Korean autonomous community in Yanji, China, and did a classical subject/actor identification test, where subjects are supposed to pick out the subjects/actor of both sensical and nonsensical sentences (cf. Liu, Bates & Li, 1992). We compared our results with our previous work on monolingual Koreans, and found out that KC bilinguals rely on word order as well as anumacy; that KC bilinguals make use of morphology at age 10 as compared with age 5 for monolinguals; and that KC bilingual adults rely on animacy and word order as well as morphology, while monolingual Korean adults rely solely on morphology for sentence interpretation. Given that animacy and word order play an important role in the Chinese grammar, our finding lends support to the backward transfer which Liu, Bates & Li (1992) propose for early bilingualism.
If R is ring and M is a right (or left) R-module, then M is called a faithful R-module if, for some a in R, x.a=0 for all x.mem.M then a=0. In [4], R.E. Johnson defines that M is a prime module if every non-zero submodule of M is faithful. Let us define that M is of prime type provided that M is faithful if and only if every non-zero submodule is faithful. We call a right (left) ideal I of R is of prime type if R/I is of prime type as a R-module. This is equivalent to the condition that if xRy.subeq.I then either x.mem.I ro y.mem.I (see [5:3:1]). It is easy to see that in case R is a commutative ring then a right or left ideal of a prime type is just a prime ideal. We have defined in [5], that a chain of right ideals of prime type in a ring R is a finite strictly increasing sequence I$_{0}$.contnd.I$_{1}$.contnd....contnd.I$_{n}$; the length of the chain is n. By the right dimension of a ring R, which is denoted by dim, R, we mean the supremum of the length of all chains of right ideals of prime type in R. It is an integer .geq.0 or .inf.. The left dimension of R, which is denoted by dim$_{l}$ R is similarly defined. It was shown in [5], that dim$_{r}$R=0 if and only if dim$_{l}$ R=0 if and only if R modulo the prime radical is a strongly regular ring. By "a strongly regular ring", we mean that for every a in R there is x in R such that axa=a=a$^{2}$x. It was also shown that R is a simple ring if and only if every right ideal is of prime type if and only if every left ideal is of prime type. In case, R is a (right or left) primitive ring then dim$_{r}$R=n if and only if dim$_{l}$ R=n if and only if R.iden.D$_{n+1}$ , n+1 by n+1 matrix ring on a division ring D. in this paper, we establish the following results: (1) If R is prime ring and dim$_{r}$R=n then either R is a righe Ore domain such that every non-zero right ideal of a prime type contains a non-zero minimal prime ideal or the classical ring of ritght quotients is isomorphic to m*m matrix ring over a division ring where m.leq.n+1. (b) If R is prime ring and dim$_{r}$R=n then dim$_{l}$ R=n if dim$_{l}$ R=n if dim$_{l}$ R<.inf. (c) Let R be a principal right and left ideal domain. If dim$_{r}$R=1 then R is an unique factorization domain.TEX>R=1 then R is an unique factorization domain.

Microelectrode probe was made and applied to the biofilm in the biological treatment process as the state-of-art technology in order to actually measure the biofilm thickness, ionic concentration gradient, and material transport, etc. instead of classical theoretical approach. The working microelectrode, one of the main components of microelectrode probe, was easily contaminated and broken when determining the differences in the ionic concentrations through the measurement of biofilm's EMF (electromotive force). As a demonstration, two microelectrode probes were constructed in our lab for the measurement of the pH and $NO_3{^-}$ concentration in denitrifying biofilm. The microelectrode probe through the inner biofilm ($350{\mu}m$ from the surface of biofilm) showed that the pH was increased from pH 8 in the bulk solution to pH 8.3, on the other hand, the $NO_3{^-}$ concentration was decreased from 30 fig N/L in the bulk solution to 4 fig N/L.
Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) are essential systems for Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) operations in current battlespace. And its importance will be getting extended because of complexity and uncertainty of battlespace. In this study, we forecast the advancement of 96 UAVs during the period of 32 years from 1982 to 2014 using TFDEA. TFDEA is a quantitative technology forecasting method which is characterized as non-parametric and non-statistical mathematical programming. Inman et al. (2006) showed that TFDEA is more accurate in forecasting compared with classical econometrics (e.g. regression). This study got 4.06% point of annual technological rate of change (RoC) for UAVs by applying TFDEA. And most UAVs in the period are inefficient according to the global SOA frontiers. That is because the countries which develop UAVs are in the middle class of technological level, so more than 60% of world UAVs markets are shared by North America and Europe which are advanced countries in terms of technological maturity level. This study could give some insights for UAVs development and its advancement. And also can be used for evaluating the adequacy of Required Operational Capability (ROC) of suggested future systems and managing the progress of Research and Development (R&D).

The purpose of this research is to analyze the differences between literature (Belles-letters) class in DDC 19 and literature class in KDC 3. The results of the study can be summarized as follows : 1. The section of philosophy and theory of literature in DDC was subdivided according to the properties as including subsection of theory of criticism but KDC didn't subdivide this section. 2. In DDC, the subsections of 'rhetoric in specific languages' and 'rhetoric of specific kinds of composition' in rhetoric section was established and can subdivide according to each languages and subjects. These considerations can be useful as compared with KDC. 3. In DDC, collections or criticism of several literatures in specific forms can be more subdivide according to specific aspects or features dealing with in the collections or criticism by a n.0, pplying Table 3-A when specified more than the literary form. 4. Reviewing a notational rank to be assigned in literatures of specific languages, Latin literature and Classical Greek literature to be ranked in division in DDC was established as subsection in KDC to treat them as literatures of minor languages. 5. The DDC can sometimes a n.0, pply, in literatures of all languages, the notations of Table 3 to be subdivided again as specific kinds of literary forms, but KDC subdivided literary forms as specific kinds of each forms in only Korean, Chinese, Japanese literature. 6. In DDC, even literatures of minor languages are provided with 'the period table for the specific literature' under each literature of specific languages in schedules and these period tables can be a n.0, pplied a n.0, ppropriately, but period numbers in KDC was established in only Korean, Chinese, Japanese literature. 7. The optional use of letter prefixes or special numbers such as 828.99 to distinguish literatures of countries other than the "mother country" which makes the use of period tables feasible, but the KDC can only use to distinguish without the function of dividing a period such as DDC. 8. According to a n.0, pplying Table 3 and 3-A also in literatures of specific languages(810-890), a literature of specific languages, a specific literary form in literature of specific languages and a literature or literary form of specific period, in case of a n.0, pplying 'form divisions 08-09', can subdivide again by a specific aspect or feature dealing with in the works when specified. 9. For grasping the rate of subdividing, after selecting several sample-titles in literary field, they classified by DDC and KDC and gave a definite score in accordance with analytic small subjects. According to the results, the rate of subdividing in literature class of KDC is proved as less 22.8% than DDC. than DDC.

Corticotropin-releasing factor (CRF) is involved in the stress response and there is increasing evidence that stress influences skin disease such as hair loss. In cultured human hair follicles, CRF inhibits hair shaft elongation, induces premature regression and promotes the apoptosis of hair matrix keratinocytes. We investigated whether CRF influences the dermal papilla cells (DPC) that play pivotal roles in hair growth and cycling. Human DPCs were treated with CRF, adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) and cortisol, key stress hormones along the hypothalamic-pituitary -adrenal (HPA) axis for 1-24 h. Interestingly, CRF modulated the expression of cytokines related to hair growth (KGF, Wnt5a, $TGF{\beta}-2$, Nexin) and increased cAMP production in cultured DPCs. CRF receptors were down-regulated by negative feedback systems. Pretreatment of CRF receptor antagonists or protein kinase A (PKA) inhibitor prevented the CRF-induced modulation. Since the CRF induces proopiomelanocortin (POMC) expression through the cAMP/PKA pathway, we analyzed POMC mRNA. CRF stimulated POMC expression in cultured human DPCs, yet we were unable to detect ACTH levels by western blot. These results indicate that CRF operates within DPCs through CRF receptors along the classical CRF signaling pathway and CRF receptor antagonists could serve as potential therapeutic and cosmetic agents for stress-induced hair loss.
This paper conducts a statistical analysis of extreme values for both daily log-returns and daily negative log-returns, which are computed using a collection of KOSPI data from January 3, 1998 to August 31, 2011. The Poisson-GPD model is used as a statistical analysis model for extreme values and the maximum likelihood method is applied for the estimation of parameters and extreme quantiles. To the Poisson-GPD model is also added the Bayesian method that assumes the usual noninformative prior distribution for the parameters, where the Markov chain Monte Carlo method is applied for the estimation of parameters and extreme quantiles. According to this analysis, both the maximum likelihood method and the Bayesian method form the same conclusion that the distribution of the log-returns has a shorter right tail than the normal distribution, but that the distribution of the negative log-returns has a heavier right tail than the normal distribution. An advantage of using the Bayesian method in extreme value analysis is that there is nothing to worry about the classical asymptotic properties of the maximum likelihood estimators even when the regularity conditions are not satisfied, and that in prediction it is effective to reflect the uncertainties from both the parameters and a future observation.
In the benefits of ITS, there are intangible gains from real-time traffic information as well as classical gains such as travel time saving. These intangible gains are difficult to be estimated by existing transportation investment appraisal commonly used in SOC investment. The major reason is not because of the absence of methodology but because of the absence of generalized values of particular benefits from real time traffic information. This research explores the value of real-time traffic information on VMS that is the most representative of ITS services, by using CVM with Double Bounded Dichotomous Choice Question. Willingness-To-Pay (WTP) functions of drivers are built with survival functions using various types of probability distribution functions such as Exponential, Log-logistic, and Weibull functions. The results reveal that Log-logistic distribution is the most appropriate distribution model to estimate WTP, and the estimated coefficients are stable through LR (Likelihood Ratio) test. For the further study, it is recommended to perform statistical tests of temporal and spatial transferability that is not examined in this research due to the lack of data.
