헬름홀쯔 공명기에서 외부로의 누출 (External Leakage on Helmholtz Resonators)

  • The effect of external leakage on the acoustic performance of Helmholtz resonators is experimentally and numerically investigated. The transmission loss of the Helmholtz resonator with a circular perforated hole is measured by using an impedance tube setup. The experimental results are then compared with one-dimensional analytical and three-dimensional numerical results. As the size of the hole increases, the peak of the transmission loss shifts to higher frequency, especially for the holes on the cavity. While the transmission loss is almost independent of the location of the hole on the cavity, the impact of the hole location on the neck on the transmission loss is not negligible. The results show that one-dimensional analytical method can predict the overall trends, whereas three-dimensional numerical method is necessary for more accurate predictions.

유동조건과 내부관 구명형상의 변화에 따른 소음기의 소음저감 특성 (Characteristics of Noise Attenuation with the Variation of Flow Condition and Hole Shape of Perforated Intruding Tues in Muffler)

  • To propose a useful modelling method for an actual muffler, the noise attenuation effects of muffler was investigated according to the flow condition and the hole shape of tubes. In this work, the finite element method was used to calculate the transmission loss of muffler, The noise attenuation characteristics of four different types of muffler in the hole shape of tubes were compared mutually to find a more simple equivalent model. Analytical results showed that the overall value of transmission loss increases and the peaks of transmission loss curve shift to the low frequency with mean flow for the given muffler, Also the noise attenuation characteristics of the equivalent model having the split holes is almost the same as those of the actual muffler having many circular holes.

사각 채널에서 테이프에 의한 스월유동이 열전달과 마찰계수에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Swirl Flow Generated by Twisted Tape on Beat Transfer and Friction Factor in a Square Channel)

  • Regionally averaged heat transfer distributions and friction factors in square channels with twisted tape inserts and with twisted tape inserts plus interrupted ribs are experimentally investigated. The effects of surface heating condition on heat transfer enhancement are also investigated. Each wall of the square channel is composed of isolated aluminum plates. The interrupted square ribs are arranged along the axial flow direction on the bottom wall only. Experimental tests are performed for Reynolds numbers ranging from 8,900 to 29,000. The results are compared with those of previous investigations for circular tube with axial interrupted ribs and twisted tape inserts.

  • As the slenderness ratio increases, it is necessary to examine the increased sectional area of member by means of increasing buckling strength because the sectional area of compressive member is designed in accordance with buckling. In this reason tn reinforce insufficient strength it don not have to reinforce the whole sectional area of member. Force of member can be increased in a way to restrict buckling mode by means of the partially increased sectional area of member. Therefore, in this study, we put emphasis on compressive members among many members that constitute space frame and try to get basic data about the reinforcement of space frame by means of investigating the bucking characteristic according to the size and length of partially increased sectional area of member.

  • In roll forming process, a sheet metal is continuously progressively formed into a product with required cross-section and longitudinal shape, such as a circular tube with required diameter, wall-thickness and straightness, by passing through a series of forming rolls in arranged in tandem. Tn this process, each pair of forming rolls installed in a forming machine play a particular role in making up the required cross-section and longitudinal shape of the product. In recent years, that process is often applied to the bumper rail in the automotive industries. In this study, a optimal Front Bumper Beam manufacturing technology, model deign and proper roll-pass sequences can be suggested by forming number of roll-pass and bending angle. And also effects of the process parameters on the final shape formed by roll forming defects were evaluated.

Concrete filled double skin tubular members subjected to bending

  • A concrete filled double skin tubular (called CFDST in abbreviation) member consists of two concentric circular steel tubes and filled concrete between them. Purpose of this study is to investigate their bending characteristics experimentally. The two test parameters of the tubes considered were an inner-to-outer diameter ratio and a thickness-diameter ratio. As a result, their observed failure modes were controlled by tensile cracking or local buckling of the outer tube. Discussion is focused on the confinement effect on the filled concrete due to the both tubes and also the influence of the inner-to-outer diameter ratios on their deformability and load carrying capacity.

앞이 무딘 물체에서 반사되는 약한 충격파 (Weak Shock Waves Reflected from a Blunt Body)

  • Investigated In this paper is the shock reflection from a blunt body, In particular, a circular cylinder of 20 mm diameter, for the weak shock impinging in the range 1<$M_s$ <2. Pressure and shock speed are measured for various shock strengths. Double-pulse holographic interferograms are taken to study the unsteady flow field at $M_s=1.34$. These experimental results are, in overall, well compared with the unstructured adaptive finite volume computation of the Euler equations performed in this study. Correlation of incident and reflected shocks and shock-shock locus obtained by experiment, computation, and theory are presented in parallel.

아이스 슬러리의 수송 및 냉열이용에 관한 연구 (A Study on Transport and Heat Utilization of Ice Slurries)

  • To investigate hydraulic and thermal characteristics of ice slurries in a circular tube, ice slurries were tested in a flow loop with a constant heat flux test section, for ranges of flow velocity, ice fraction and heat flux. Heat transfer coefficients and friction factors of ice slurries were calculated by measuring the outer wall temperatures of the test section and the pressure drops over the test section. Heat transfer coefficients of ice slurries were 9% higher than the heat transfer coefficients expected by Petukhov. Friction factors were about 4% lower than the friction factors expected by Petukhov. The effective thermal capacity of ice slurry with 12.8% ice fraction, was found to be about 3 times higher than the thermal capacity of water.

유동저항 감소유체를 운반유체로 한 파라핀 슬러리의 대류 열전달에 관한 연구 (Convective Heat Transfer of a Paraffin Slurry in a Drag Reducing Carrier Fluid)

  • Aqueous polymer solutions are known to have small pressure reduction. Paraffin slurries are known to have high thermal capacity. Paraffin particles are mixed into an aqueous polymer solution to make a new heat transfer fluid having high thermal capacity but low pressure reduction. The heat transfer characteristics of the new slurry was tested in a circular tube having a constant heat transfer boundary condition. The new slurry was found to have high Nusselt numbers as well as high thermal capacity and low pressure reduction in the laminar flow. The trends of the Nusselt numbers along the heating test section were studied for various heating conditions.

固體粉末이 浮上된 二相亂流 管流動의 熱傳達에 관한 硏究 (Study on the two phase turbulent heat transfer of gas-solid supension flow in pipes)

  • The objective of this paper is to investigate effects of the specific heat and the diameter of suspending particles on the heat transfer coefficient of two phase turbulent flow with suspension of solid particles in a circular tube with constant heat flux. Heat transfer coefficients of two phase turbulent flow in pipe with suspension of graphite powder were measured with variations of particle sizes and solid-gas loading ratio. Measured data were compared with predictions by numerical analysis in which the turbulece models are closed on the first order level. Results show that heat transfer coefficient increases with increasing the solid-gas loading ratio and the specific heat of suspending material, however, it decreases as the average diameter of particles decreases below $24{\mu}m$.
