The purpose of this study ins to verify the characteristic location of Byungyoung Castle, physical type, inside spatial organization, and the scheme of Byungyoung Castle. The study utilizes historic literature, ancient maps related to Byungyoung Castle, topographical and cadastral maps which were published under the rule of Japanese Imperialism Castle, topographical and cadastral maps which were published under the rule of Japanese Imperialism and the topographical maps which were made recently by National Geographic Institute with various scales. The methodology of the study is to interpret the contents from the historic literature on the site map. The methodology of the study is to interpret the contents from the historic literature on the site map. The result of the study is as follows; Byungyoung Castle does duty as a defensive base for the entire country and has a specific character of location that has the dual function of a mountain fortress for national defense and of a village fortress for the town. Byungyoung Castle has four gates on four sides and has a oval shape very close to a circular form. The road construction inside the castle is composed basically of a cross shape. Byungyoung is located in the northwest area of this major road system. The private houses that lie along the north-south road are build up at the core area of the lower level and the town market built up around the south gate becomes the heart of life for the people. Schematically, it has the same pattern as regular village fortress, in that the houses for the guests and the houses for the public office are arranged to the east and the west. It is considered that there is certain functional parallel between Byungyoug Castle and Ulsan castle because there are no facilities for sacrificial rites no institutional budding.

Electronic Toll Collection(ETC) System makes the telecommunication possible between the Beacon and the On Board Unit(OBU) in vehicle at the highway. In this paper, the propagation path of microwave is modelled and the induced voltage of receiving antenna is analyzed numerically according to multi-path fading effort. In this modelling, we consider the weather condition, polarization and antenna radiation pattern. Also, we suggest the diversity technique in order to re duce the fading effect. In the result, the lading effort is reduced significantly in case of the vertical polarization at the rain condition. The circular polarization is the most desirable in this application. The antenna which has the high directivity, is also desirable. Using the space diversity technique at the Beaten, the fading effect is reduced as the distance increases between the Beacon and OBU. These results are presented at the graphs whose axes are related to the magnitude of received voltage(dB) and the distance of the beacon and a vehicle.

Multileaf collimator is essential equipment in conformal radiation therapy, however the use is limitted by increase of penumbra width and undulating dose distribution at the field edge. The purpose of this study is to improve the penumbra and dose distribution in the multileaf collimator field edge. Measurement were performed with X-omat V film in solid water phantom using 6MV photon beam from Siemens linear accelerator. All the measurement were made along the central axis of $5{\times}5cm,\;10{\times}10cm$ circular field for constant SSD of 100 cm. To improve the penumbra and dose distribution collimator was rotated by 15 degrees from 0 to 90 degrees (collimator rotation method) and center was shifted to the longitudinal direction by fourth of lead width (center shift method). We compare the penumbra and dose distribution at the field edge to alloy block. Dose distribution and penumbra width at the feild edge of MLC showed undulated dose pattern and increased penumbra compared with alloy block. However, in the collimator rotation method and center shift method we abtained simular results with alloy block. Through the study we expected that clinical use of MLC will be increase.
We screened lysates of the laboratory strains of pseudomonads utilizing hydrocarbon by agarose gel electrophoresis and cesium chloride-ethidium bromide equilibrium centrifugation, to find an intrinsic plasmid as a vector and to examine the relationship between the plasmid and hydrocarbon degradation. Only one strain from the examined strains, Pseudomonas putida KU190, contained a plasmid. We named the plasmid pKU41. The molecular size of pKU41 was determined as 41kb, using covalently closed circular forms of RP4 and pSY343 as standard size markers. The restriction sites of pKU41 for BamHI, BglII, EcoRI, HindIII, and SalI were 3, 1, 3, 6 and more than 13, respectively. With double or triple digestion, restriction map of pKU41 was constructed for BamHI, BglII and HindIII. For elucidation on the biological function of the plasmid, test was conducted on the ability of hydrocarbon utilization of the host strain but no apparent relationship was observed.
The laser has been regarded as the potential illumination source for the next generation of projectors. However, currently the major issues in applying the laser as an illumination source for projectors are beam shaping and laser speckle. We present a compact solution for both issues by using a vibrating diffractive optical element (DOE). The DOE is designed and fabricated, and it successfully transforms the circular Gaussian laser beam to a low speckle contrast uniform rectangular pattern. Under a vibration frequency of 150 Hz and amplitude of $200{\mu}m$, the speckle contrast value is reduced from 67.67% to 13.78%, and the ANSI uniformity is improved from 24.36% to 85.54%. The experimental results demonstrate the feasibility and potential of the proposed scheme, and the proposed method is a feasible approach to the miniaturization of laser projection display illumination systems.

Lactobacillus rhamnosus BFE5264, isolated from a Maasai fermented milk product ("kule naoto"), was previously shown to exhibit bile acid resistance, cholesterol assimilation, and adhesion to HT29-MTX cells in vitro. In this study, we re-annotated and analyzed the previously reported complete genome sequence of strain BFE5264. The genome consists of a circular chromosome of 3,086,152 bp and a putative plasmid, which is the largest one identified among L. rhamnosus strains. Among the 2,883 predicted protein-coding genes, those with carbohydrate-related functions were the most abundant. Genome analysis of strain BFE5264 revealed two consecutive CRISPR regions and no known virulence factors or antimicrobial resistance genes. In addition, previously known highly variable regions in the genomes of L. rhamnosus strains were also evident in strain BFE5264. Pairwise comparison with the most studied probiotic strain L. rhamnosus GG revealed strain BFE5264-specific deletions, probably due to insertion sequence-mediated recombination. The latter was associated with loss of the spaCBA pilin gene cluster and exopolysaccharide biosynthetic genes. Comparative genomic analysis of the sequences from all available L. rhamnosus strains revealed that they were clustered into two groups, being within the same species boundary based on the average nucleotide identities. Strain BFE5264 had a sister group relationship with the group that contained strain GG, but neither ANI-based hierarchical clustering nor core-gene-based phylogenetic tree construction showed a clear distinctive pattern associated with the isolation source, implying that the genotype alone cannot account for their ecological niches. These results provide insights into the probiotic mechanisms of strain BFE5264 at the genomic level.

Constraints on the structure and composition of the active layer are important for understanding permafrost evolution. Soil convection owing to repeated moisture-induced freeze-thaw cycles within the active layer promotes the formation of self-organized patterned ground. Here we present the results of ground penetrating radar (GPR) surveys across a selected sorted circle near King Sejong Station, Antarctica, to better delineate the active layer and its relation to the observed patterned ground structure. We acquire GPR data in both bistatic mode (common mid-points) for precise velocity constraints and monostatic mode (common-offset) for subsurface imaging. Reflections are derived from the active layer-permafrost boundary, organic layer-weathered soil boundary within the active layer, and frozen rock-fracture-filled ice boundary within the permafrost. The base of the imaged sorted circle possesses a convex-down shape in the central silty zone, which is typical for the pattern associated with convection-like soil motion within the active layer. The boundary between the central fine-silty domain and coarse-grained stone border is effectively identified in a radar amplitude contour at the assumed active layer depth, and is further examined in the frequency spectra of the near- and far-offset traces. The far-offset traces and the traces from the lower frequency components dominant on the far-offset traces would be associated with rapid absorption of higher frequency radiowave due to the voids in gravel-rich zone. The presented correlation strategies for analyzing very shallow, thin-layered GPR reflection data can potentially be applied to the various types of patterned ground, particularly for acquiring time-lapse imaging, when electric resistivity tomography is incorporated into the analysis.

Positioning systems have been actively researched and developed over the past few years and have been used in many applications. This paper presents a method to determine a location in a large space using a sensor system consisting of an accelerometer and a single-axis gyroscope. In particular, to consider usability, a sensor device was loosely worn on the waist so that the experimental data could be used in practical applications. Based on the experimental results of circular tracks with radiuses of 1m and 3m, in this paper, an algorithm using the threshold of rotation angle was proposed and applied to the experimental results. A tracking experiment was performed on the grid-pattern track model. For raw sensor data, the average deviation between the final tracking point and the target point was approximately 15.2 m, which could be reduced to approximately 4.0 m using an algorithm applying the rotation angle threshold.
In this paper, we formed perovskite (CH3NH3PbI3) thin films on glass with wet coating methods, and used various analytical techniques to discuss film thickness, surface roughness, crystallinity, composition, and optical property. The coated semiconductor material has no defects and is uniform, the surface roughness value is very small, and a high absorption rate has been observed in the visible light area. Next, in order to implement the hole shape in the organic-inorganic layer, Samples in the order of a metal mask with holes at regular intervals, a glass coated with a perovskite material, and a magnet were etched with atmospheric pressure plasma equipment. The shape of the hole formed in the perovskite material was analyzed by changing the time. It can be seen that more etching is performed as the time increases. The sample with the longest processing time was examined in more detail, and it was classified into 7 regions by the difference according to the location of the plasma.
Purpose: Various crosslinking methods have been introduced to increase the longevity of collagen membranes. The aim of this study was to compare and evaluate the degradation and bone regeneration patterns of 3 collagen membranes. Methods: Four 8-mm-diameter circular bone defects were created in the calvaria of 10 rabbits. In each rabbit, each defect was randomly allocated to 1) the sham control group, 2) the non-crosslinked collagen sponge (NS) group, 3) the chemically crosslinked collagen membrane (CCM) group, or 4) the biphasic calcium phosphate (BCP)-supplemented ultraviolet (UV)-crosslinked collagen membrane (UVM) group. Each defect was covered with the allocated membrane without any graft material. Rabbits were sacrificed at either 2 or 8 weeks post-surgery, and radiographic and histologic analyses were done. Results: New bone formed underneath the membrane in defects in the CCM and UVM groups, with a distinctive new bone formation pattern, while new bone formed from the base of the defect in the NS and control groups. The CCM maintained its shape until 8 weeks, while the UVM and NS were fully degraded at 8 weeks; simultaneously, sustained inflammatory infiltration was found in the margin of the CCM, while it was absent in the UVM. In conclusion, the CCM showed longer longevity than the UVM, but was accompanied by higher levels of inflammation. Conclusions: Both the CCM and UVM showed distinctive patterns of enhancement in new bone formation in the early phase. UV crosslinking can be a biocompatible alternative to chemical crosslinking.
