Feasibility of Copper Powder Fabrication by Ball Milling of Copper Chip Scrap Occurred During Cutting Process of Copper Pipe (구리 관(管)의 절단(切斷) 공정(工程)중 발생한 구리칩 스크랩의 볼밀링에 의한 구리 분말(粉末) 제조(製造) 가능성(可能性))

  • Copper chip scrape has been occurred by cutting of copper pipe. The feasibility of copper chip scrape into the copper powder by milling was studied. Two milling type such as rod milling and horizontal balling milling were applied in this research. Copper chip can not fragmented into powder by using rod milling. In contrast to rod milling, copper chip can be changed into powder by horizontal ball milling for above 36 hours. It was found that recycling of copper chip scraps into copper powder by horizontal ball milling is possible and powder fraction percent ($75{\sim}150{\mu}m$) of milled copper chip for 48 hours is 25.3%.

  • Micro fluid channels are machined on quartz glass using powder blasting, and the machining characteristics of the channels are experimentally evaluated. The powder blasting process parameters such as injection pressure, abrasive particle size and density, stand-off distance, number of nozzle scanning, and shape/size of the required patterns affect machining results. In this study, the influence of the number of nozzle scanning, abrasive particle size, and blasting pressure on the formation of micro channels is investigated. Machined shapes and surface roughness are measured, and the results are discussed. Through the experiments and analysis, LOC are ettectinely machined on quartz glass using powder blasting.

  • Chip breaker of cutting tool is an important feature to enhance cutting performance. Powder injection molding process was used to produce a triangular-shape cermet grooving insert which has three chip breakers. Attrition milled cermet powders were mixed with wax-based binder system in continuous twin screw extruder. Three-plate injection mold with slide cores was used to produce injection-molded parts. After molding, solvent and thermal debinding was carried out. Sintering was conducted in a batch furnace with a graphite heater. The sintered parts satisfy the requirements of dimensional tolerances and material properties.

Characteristics of Pure Mg Powder Compacts Prepared by Spark Plasma Sintering Process (방전플라즈마 소결법으로 제작된 순 마그네슘 분말 소결체의 특성평가)

  • The pure Mg powder compacts were successfully fabricated using SPS process. The machined chip powder showed flake shaped morphology with coarse surfaces, while gas atomized powders were spherical in morphology with smooth surfaces. In this study, SPS process was used to consolidate the pure Mg powder because this process allows high density consolidation in a short time. The results showed that increased sintering temperature from $350^{\circ}C$ to $500^{\circ}C$ with pressure of 30MPa, the maximum values of the density was increased from 98.1% to 99.8% of theoretical density, respectively. However, density of the sintered chip powders was higher than that of gas-atomized powder due to larger contact areas between particles.

  • This Waterproofing Material which mainly consisted of 2 components of waste tire chip powder and waste glass powder. This Study is abut development of waterproofing Material, There is not tried in domestic. The most Motive of this Study wishes to recycle resources and get the economic performance for waterproofing Material The result of this Study is as followings. (1) Dense waterproofing floor is formed between waste tire chip by Coupling Agent(the most effective method to encourage adhesive strength and raise cohesion of material by combination.) (2) Expected to bring effect to shorten construction period at spot application potentially space-time in moisture aspect. Also, shortening effect of construction period and spot work are considered to be gone efficiently selecting pre-mix construction method. (3) This development Waterproofing material has elasticity that nature side compatibility of cement ingredient and plastic Emulsion have when utilize and constructs waite resources (being waste tire chip and waste glass powdered).

  • In present work, manufacturing technologies of titanium hydride powder were studied for recycling of titanium tuning chip and for this, attrition ball milling was carried out under $H_2$ pressure of 0.5 MPa. Ti chips were completely transformed into $TiH_2$ within several hundred seconds. Dehydrogenation process $TiH_2$ powders is consist of two reactions: one is reaction of $TiH_2$ to $TiH_x$ and the other decomposition of $TiH_x$ to Ti and $H_2$. The former reaction shows relatively low activation energy and it is suggested that the reaction is caused by introduction of defects due to milling.

  • Ideal autogenous or allogenic bone graft materials should provide 1) stabilization of blood clot, 2) scaffolds for cellular proliferation and differentiation, 3) release of osteogenic growth factors, 4) appropriate resorption profile for remodeling of new bone. Teeth, especially dentin, mostly contain hydroxyapatite and type I collagen which are similar to bone, and could be valuable graft material. Clinically teeth are used as calcined or demineralized forms. Demineralized form of dentin can be more effective as a graft material. But a conventional decalcification method takes time and long treatment time may give negative effects to various osteogenic proteins in dentin. Author used a new clinical method to prepare autogenous teeth, which could be grafted into the removal defects immediately after extraction using vacuum ultrasonic system. The process could be finished within two hours regardless of the form (powder, chip or block). Teeth were processed to graft materials in block, chip, or powder types immediately after extraction. It took 120 minutes to prepare block types and 40 minutes to prepare powder. Clinical cases did not show any adverse response and the healing was favorable. Rapid preparation of autogenous teeth with the vacuum ultrasonic system could make the immediate one-day extraction and graft possible.

  • The microfluidic controlled droplet production system is one of the most powerful methods for capsule manufacturing. However, stable production is not possible when the powder is included. We solved the above problem by developing an off-chip droplet production system. we checked the droplet creation mechanism and created a simple repair model. It was possible to produce a uniform and stable droplet regardless of the powder content.
