The collected data was analyzed using the JAMOVI program to analyze the mediated effects and technical statistics. Results found that office stress, teacher efficacy, and sense of happiness of childcare teachers were found to meet the normality assumption. Second, the analysis of the relationship between office stress, teacher efficacy, and happiness showed a statistically significant negative correlation between administrative stress and teacher efficacy and happiness and teacher efficacy showed a significant positive correlation. Higher office stress led to less teacher effectiveness and happiness, and higher happiness led to higher teacher effectiveness. Third, office stress is a significant predictor of happiness and teacher's efficacy. In conclusion, office stress should be considered important in terms of happiness and teacher effectiveness and the direction of improvement in the treatment of child care teachers was suggested.

  • This study examined the social wellbeing of working mothers of preschool children with the aim of identifying relationships between social wellbeing and influencing factors, focusing on the individual, relationship, and work environment of the mothers. Data on 390 working mothers were used for this study. The data were analyzed using the SPSS 18.0 program and descriptive statistics. Pearson's correlation analyses and hierarchical regression analyses were performed. The results show that social wellbeing has significantly positive correlations with education, monthly household income, number of children, age of the first child(8 and over), social capital for childcare, division of childcare, maternal role values, spouse's beliefs about paternal parenting involvement, and family-supportive work environment, as well as significantly negative correlations with weekly working hours, sociological ambivalence, spouse's beliefs about father's breadwinner role and gender-role values, job overload, and gender-role attitudes of coworkers. In addition, hierarchical regression revealed that spouse's beliefs about paternal parenting involvement and a family-supportive work environment were significantly positive predictors of working mothers'social wellbeing, whereas working mothers'sociological ambivalence toward their roles, job overload, and gender-role attitudes of coworkers were significantly negative predictors of working mothers'social wellbeing. These results point to ways of changing education and policy to improve the social wellbeing of working mothers.

They were divided into an experimental group (20 teachers) and a comparative group (20 teachers). The collected data were applied to the SPSS 22.0 program. To find homogeneity of the two groups, a t-test was conducted. To analyze an intergroup difference, ANCOVA was conducted in the way of setting a pre-test score as a covariate. Results: The experimental group which participated in the program showed more positive effects than the comparative group in terms of professionalism, self-respect, and efficacy in teaching. Conclusion/Implications: Based on the results of this study, the program is expected to be meaningful in the field of early childhood education, and to lay the foundation for beginning child care teachers in toddler classes to become experts in their field.

  • Purpose: This study was to evaluate the effects of a smoking prevention program among preschool children. Method: This study used a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. The participants were 141 preschool children aged 6 or 7 at two childcare centers in Jecheon City, who were divided into an experimental group (n=66) and a control group (n=75). The smoking prevention program was applied through 9 sessions and 30 minutes per session. Surveys were conducted before and after the smoking prevention program to examine the preschoolers' knowledge and attitude toward smoking and smoking coping behavior. Results: There were significant differences between the experimental group and the control group in smoking knowledge (t=-2.02, p=.044) and smoking coping behavior (t=-2.01 p=.047), but smoking attitude (t=-1.20, p=.230) was not statistically significantly different between the two groups. Conclusion: As a result, further research is needed into the long term effects of a smoking prevention program on the future behavior of preschoolers so that the health benefits of early prevention can be quantified. It is necessary for parents to participate actively in influencing preschoolers' attitudes and behaviors with regard to the avoidance of smoking.

  • This study aims to develop a program for enhancing family resilience in cancer patients along with their family members and verify its effectiveness. The subjects were inpatients with cancer and their families, totaling 46 subjects at an university hospital in Busan. They were divided into two groups, the participating group who were in an experiment and the control group who were not taking part in the experiment. Then family resilience was measured before and after completing the program sessions. The program was conducted once a week, 4 times, for two hours. The participating group of family resilience strengthening program showed higher family resilience compared with that of the control group. The results suggest that family resilience can be enhanced through adversity. It also verifies that family resilience of family members with cancer patients can be strengthened by expressing emotion, conveying deep affection, and sufficiently supporting one another through the family resilience strengthening approach.

Results: Using a 3-round Delphi survey, 6 areas and 42 detailed topics for group and individual coaching programs were developed. The knowledge scores were significantly higher in the experimental group than in the control group (t=4.24, p=.001). The confidence scores were significantly higher in the experimental group than in the control group (F=3.89, p<.001). The performance scores were significantly higher in the experimental group than in the control group (t=12.40, p<.001). Conclusion: Continuous application of the FACP among child care teachers is expected to minimize the harm caused by minor accidents at child care facilities. This program should be formally implemented on a consistent basis.

Methods: In-depth interviews were held with nine directors of daycare centers in Sejong City. The recordings of the interviews were databased, and then the data were analyzed by categorizing the content. Results: First, the participants of this study were interested in the national/public daycare service consignment program and were eager to be selected for the program. They also had high expectations for operating daycare centers. Second, while preparing for the opening of the daycare center, the participants encountered problems after being selected for the program in terms of finance, facilities, equipment, and personnel management. Third, after opening the center, the participants went through the "survival period" as they had to overcome many issues while operating the center on their own. Conclusion/Implications: This study suggested financial and administrative improvements and support measures required for the consignment program so that daycare center directors can successfully and sustainably open and operate daycare centers.

  • Objective: This study designed an Augmented Reality-based intervention program for children with conflicted shyness and examined its effects on social avoidance motivation and preference for being with others. Methods: Sixteen six-year-old children were randomly assigned to either the experimental or control group. The experimental group participated in a six-week AR-based program. Both teachers and children rated social avoidance motivation and preference for being with others to evaluate the program's effectiveness. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test and the Mann-Whitney U test. Results: Social avoidance motivation decreased only for the experimental group. Conversely, the control group showed increased motivation scores as reported by the children. The preference for being with others increased in the experimental group based on teacher reports. For the control group, preference scores reported by teachers and children were maintained and decreased, respectively. Conclusion/Implications: This study highlights the effectiveness of the intervention in reducing social avoidance motivation and maintaining a preference for being with others in children experiencing conflicted shyness. Furthermore, the use of AR technology provided a psychologically safe environment for them to initiate social interactions without fear of negative evaluation, highlighting its potential as a primary intervention tool for this population.
