보육교사가 인식한 원장의 지도성 유형 및 의사결정 유형에 따른 직무만족도 연구 (A Study of Job Satisfaction According to Director's Leadership Style and Type of Decision-making Recognized by Child Care Teachers)

  • 본 연구는 보육교사가 인식한 원장의 지도성 유형과 의사결정 유형에 따른 보육교사의 직무만족도의 차이를 연구해봄으로써 보다 질 높은 보육과정의 운영을 위해 필요한 보육교사의 직무만족도를 높이는데 있어 원장의 지도성 유형과 의사결정 유형의 영향력을 검토해보는 데에 그 목적이 있다. 연구의 대상은 어린이집의 보육교사 184명을 대상으로 설문지 조사를 실시하였고, 원장의 지도성 유형및 의사결정 유형에 따른 보육교사의 직무만족도의 차이 분석을 위해 일원분산분석과 사후검증을 실시하였다. 결과 보육교사의 직무만족도는 대부분 가장 긍정적인 지도성 유형인 효율형일 때 가장 높은 점수를 나타냈다. 마찬가지로 원장의 의사결정 유형의 경우도 가장 이상적인 유형인 참여형 의사결정 유형이 교사의 직무만족도 모든 하위 요소에서 가장 높은 점수를 나타냈다. 이는 긍정적인 지도성과 민주적인 참여적 의사결정 과정을 선호하는 원장의 경우 교사의 직무만족도를 높여 주어 어린이집의 질적 발전을 위해 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 수 있음을 시사해 준다.

직무스트레스가 보육교사의 소진에 미치는 영향: 소명의식의 매개효과를 중심으로 (The Effects of Job Stress on Child Care Teachers' Burnout: The Mediating Effect of Career Calling)

  • Objective: The purpose of the present study was to examine the mediating role of career calling in the relationship between job stress and burnout as well as the association among job stress, career calling, and burnout. Methods: A sample of three-hundred and seven child care teachers in the metropolitan area of Seoul completed questionnaires on job stress, career calling, and burnout. Results: Correlation and regression analyses indicated that lack of directors' leadership and administrative support, work overload, and career calling significantly predicted child care teachers' burnout. Moreover, the association of lack of directors' leadership and administrative support of burnout was mediated by career calling. Conclusion/Implications: The findings suggest that directors' leadership and seamless administrative support need to be emphasized in order to reduce burnout and mitigate work-related stress among child care teachers. The findings also highlight the important role of career calling in reducing burnout among child care teachers and suggest the consideration of career calling as a target in interventions and educational programs.

보육시설장의 장애 영유아 통합보육 경험에 관한 질적 연구 (A Qualitative Study on Center Directors' Experience about Integrated Child Care for Infants with Disability)

  • 본 연구는 보육시설장의 장애 영유아 통합보육에 대한 경험에 관한 질적 연구를 통하여, 통합보육 실시에 따른 시설장의 긍정적 내지 부정적 인식과 초래되는 어려움을 심층적으로 분석함으로써 통합보육의 성공적 정착을 위한 기초자료를 구축하는데 있다. 본 연구에서는 현재 보육시설의 시설장으로 재직 중인 9명을 대상으로 심층인터뷰를 실시한 후, 근거이론에 기초하여 자료를 분석하였다. 분석결과, 12개의 범주, 25개의 하위범주, 82개의 개념이 도출되었다. 보육시설장의 장애 통합보육 경험의 중심현상인 '통합보육 시행에 따른 어려움'으로 나타났고, 중심현상을 극복하기 위한 작용/상호작용전략은 '의무교육에 대한 긍정적 태도', '통합에 대한 끊임없는 공부'로 나타났으며, 결과는 '바람직한 통합보육 시설의 준비'로 나타났다.

보육교사와 시설장의 이직경험에 관한 질적 연구 (A Qualitative Study on the Turnover Experiences of Teachers and Directors of Child Care Centers)

  • This study is a qualitative research on job transfer experiences of child care teachers and directors of child care centers. The research was conducted on 21 participants: 10 child teachers and 11 directors of child care centers in Seoul and Gyeong-gi province. Focus group interviews were held at the subjects' child care centers in July 2011. Each focus group participated in one interview and the average length of these interviews was 2 hours. Four focus group interviews were recorded and transcribed. The gathered data was analyzed within and across groups according to focus group interview analysis methods. The analysis showed five categories in both the teacher group and the director group. Reorganizing this analysis revealed three phases: before, in the course of, and after the transfer. Further description about the job transfer was given for each phase of the two groups. This research is significantly meaningful in that it brings light to the experiences around job transfer for both groups at the same time.

보육시설장의 변혁적 지도성에 관한 연구 (Child Care Center Director's Transformational Leadership)

  • The purpose of this research was to investigate factors related to the child care center director's transformational leadership and differences of the awareness about transformational leadership between child care center directors and teachers. A survey was conducted using the questionnaire developed by Lee suk-kyung (1997). Results of this research showed that type of child care center, number of children in the program, director's age, educational degree and years of career related to child care, affected the child care director's transformational leadership as recognized by themselves. From a teacher's point of view, director's transformational leadership was influenced by director's age, educational degree, and years of career related to child care. In addition, different level of awareness about director's transformational leadership between child care directors and teachers was found. Based on the result, a program to enhance director's leadership is strongly needed.

보육교사의 정서적 몰입이 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향: 사회적 지지의 조절효과 (The Effect of Affective Commitment on Life Satisfaction Among Child Care Teachers: Moderating Role of Social Support)

  • Objective: The purpose of the present study was to examine the associations between affective commitment, social support, and life satisfaction among child care teachers. Methods: One hundred fifty-four child care teachers in the metropolitan area of Seoul completed a questionnaire on affective commitment, social support, and life satisfaction. Descriptive statistics, correlation analyses, hierarchical multiple regression analyses using the bootstrapping method were conducted. Results: The results showed that affective commitment predicted increased life satisfaction. The results also revealed significant moderation effects of social support on the relationship between affective commitment and life satisfaction. Further analyses revealed significant moderation effects of support from directors and colleagues on the relationship. Conclusion/Implications: The findings highlight the importance of affective commitment in enhancing life satisfaction among child care teachers. The positive association is more pronounced among child care teachers who perceive social support, highlighting the supportive roles of directors and colleagues in enhancing life satisfaction among child care teachers.

어린이집의 급.간식 관련 친환경 실천 연구 (A Study of Eco-friendly Practices Regarding Meals and Snacks at Early Childhood Care and Education Centers)

  • 본 연구는 어린이집의 급 간식 관련 친환경 실천에 대해 어린이집의 원장, 보육교사, 취사부의 실천정도가 어떠하며, 어린이집과 보육교직원 변인에 따른 차이가 있는지 조사하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위하여 연구자는 Boise(2010)의 친환경개념을 적용하여 급 간식의 친환경의 개념을 재 정의하여 보육교직원의 실천정도를 알아볼 수 있는 질문지를 개발하였으며, 서울과 경기지역 소재 어린이집 200개소에 근무하는 원장118명, 보육교사 363명, 취사부 102명 총 583명의 질문지 응답을 분석하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 어린이집의 급 간식 관련 친환경 실천정도는 안전성, 기능성, 지속가능성 세 영역의 모든 영역에서 취사부의 실천정도가 가장 높게 나타났고, 다음으로 원장, 보육교사 순으로 나타났다. 둘째, 보육교직원들의 급 간식 관련 친환경 실천정도는 어린이집의 유형, 규모, 직급에 따라 차이가 있었으나 보육교직원의 경력에 따른 차이는 없는 것으로 나타났다.

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to examine how job stress, coping style, and social support were associated with quality of life among child care teachers. Methods: The participants were comprised of 281 child care teachers in the metropolitan area of Seoul. Job stress, problem-focused coping style, social support, and quality of life were assessed by a teacher-reported questionnaire. Results: Correlation and regression analyses revealed that while job stress predicted lower quality of life, having problem-focused coping style and family support enhanced quality of life among child care teachers. Furthermore, results showed significant moderation effects of support from directors at child care centers on the relationship between job stress and quality of life among child care teachers. Conclusion/Implications: The findings suggest the important role of problem-focused coping styles and family support in enhancing quality of life. Moreover, support from directors at child care centers appeared to buffer the effects of job stress on quality of life among child care teachers. Results were discussed in terms of their implications for educational and counseling programs for child care teachers.

어린이집 운영관리 과정에 나타난 원장의 의사결정 (A Study about How Child Care Directors Make Decisions during their Operating Hours)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 어린이집 원장의 의사결정에 영향을 주는 것은 무엇인지 알아보고자 하는 것이다. 연구 참여자는 서울시와 경기도에 위치한 어린이집 원장 7명을 대상으로 하였으며, 개별적인 심층면접을 사용하여 어린이집 원장의 의사결정 기준에 관해 알아보았다. 연구결과는 어린이집 원장들의 의사결정에 영향을 주는 것은 원장 외부와 내부에서 찾아볼 수 있었다. 외부에서 찾아보면, 법적기준 준수, 부모요구 수용, 교사와 협력, 외부의 조언 수용, 현실적 여건 수용으로 나타났다. 내부에서 찾아보면, 원장의 운영철학, 원장 개인의 신앙, 원장의 개인적 경험으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 어린이집 원장이 우수한 보육환경을 제공할 수 있도록 도와주기 위한 정책의 수립과 교육자료 개발을 위한 기초자료를 제공하는데 그 의미가 있다.

전북지역 보육시설의 시설유형에 따른 급식운영관리 실태 조사 (Assessment of Food Service Management Practices in Child Care Centers Operated by Various Types of Foundations in the Chonbuk Area of Korea)

  • We investigated the food service management practices in child care centers operated by various types of foundations in the Chonbuk area of Korea. Self-administered questionnaires were collected from 125 child care center directors. The statistical analysis was completed using an SPSS v11.5 program. Approximately 82.4% of the directors were women with an the average age of 45 years old. The average number of children in each public and private child care center was 84.7 and 88.8, respectively (P<.001), and the difference in time of operation was significant(P<.001). Only 20.8% of the centers employed a dietitian, whereas 92.0% of the centers employed a cook, thus, food service was not managed by professionals in most centers. In approximately 99.2% of the centers, meals were prepared in a conventional manner. The difference in daily meal frequency was significant(P<.05), with approximately 85.6% of the centers serving snacks twice a day primarily to supplement the intake of nutrients(4.44 point) and to add fun to the daily lives of the children(4.12 point). Approximately 40.7% of the directors of public centers and 57.6% of the directors of private centers responded that the most difficult aspect of food service management was financial management. Overall, 56.8% of the directors responded that the details of financial management had the greatest effect on their ability to improve the quality of food service. In most centers, the center director was also the purchasing manager and half of them purchased food every day. Approximately 97% of the directors responded that they do not include instant foods in their menu plans but they would use them if the children wanted to eat them. These results indicate that the food service management in child care centers in the Chonbuk area is relatively inadequate. We strongly recommend that they hire dietitians for food service administration and focus on strengthening sanitation management.
