사료제조 공장의 발생악취 특성 및 약액세정탑을 이용한 악취저감효율 평가 (Characteristic of odor from feed manufactory and evaluation of odor reduction efficiency using chemical scrubber)

  • The odor substances generated in a feed manufactory operating for the commercialization of animal-vegetable materials were analyzed and the odor reduction efficiency by a chemical scrubber was evaluated. The major causative substances in the feed manufactory comprised about 45.4% of ketone compounds and about 13.3% of aldehyde compounds. On the other hand, the removal efficiencies of diacetyl and acetoin as ketone compounds were 77.3% and 78.1%, respectively, by a chemical scrubber. Additionally, the removal efficiencies of acetaldehyde, butyraldehyde, valeraldehyde, 2-furancarboxaldehyde, and nonanal were 86.0%, 78.9%, 67.4%, 52.8%, and 71.9%, respectively. These rates were higher than the odor generation substance contribution rate as a result of treating the exhaust gas generated from the feed manufactory by the chemical scrubber using 5% of C3. It was also found that xylene, methylcyclopentane, benzene, ethylbenzene, 1,3,5-trimethylbenzene, and decane were almost not removed.

  • The purpose of this study is to determine the feasibility of dry-type desulfurization process for actual application to coal-fired power plant. We used actual exhaust gas from Facility Y, Plant #2 to fabricate a demo-scale testing device to attempt to improve the efficiency of desulfurization. A spout-bed circulating dry scrubber convergence system connecting turbo reactor with bag filter was devised, then analyzed for performance characteristics of $SO_2$ removal for Ca/S mole ratio, superficial gas velocity, and ammonia injection, and for secondary reaction characteristics of the non-reactive sorbent at the bag filter. As a result, the installation of spout-bed circulating dry scrubber convergence system showed better economy and efficiency for removing sulfur than the existing wet/semidry-type desulfurization process. In addition, the best efficiency for desulfurization occurred when connected to the bag filter, with differential pressure maintained at 150 $mmH_2O$.

연속식 PCR과 BCR에서 페놀 농도 증가에 따른 오존 처리 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Ozonation Characteristics of the Phenol Contaminated Wastewater by Increasing Phenol Concentration in the Continuous PCR and BCR)

  • The objectives of this research prograln were to study the ozonation characteristics of phenol contaminated wastewater in the continuous packed column reactor (PCR) and the bubble column reactor (BCR) using ozone that has a strong oxidizing potential, and to provide the fundamentals of ozonizing the phenol contaminated wastewater. Among various influencing factors on phenol decomposition through the oxidation by ozone, phenol/ozone mde ratio was chosen as reaction parameters. Concerning the phenol/ozone mde ratio, as the influent phenol concentration increased from 30 mg/l to 150 mg/l, the phenol removal efficiency decreased from 99% for 30 mg/l to 83.7% for 150 mg/l, in PCR. PCR also showed higher treatment efficiency than BCR by 1% for 30 mg/l and 2.2% for 150 mg/l, respectively. The ozone utilization efficiency of PCR for the phenol concentration 30 mg/l was higher than that of BCR while the efficiency of both reactors was 99.9% for the phenol concentration of 150 mg/l.

접촉산화법에 의한 소각로 배출폐액의 처리에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Treatment of Incinerator Wastewater with Biofilm Reactor)

  • The treatment of the washout from small scale incinerator was performed physically, chemically and biologically. The results are as follows. 1. SS, FS removal efficiency of washout wastewater from incinerator was 67.4%, 37.4%, while SS, FS of sewage wastewater was removed 63.2% 35.4% respectively. 2. The optimal conditions for chemical coagulation turned out to be pH 7.5, alum(Al2O3 10%) 30ml/ι and polyelectrolyte(A-601P 0.1%) 4ml/ι. SS 86%, FS 89.5%, BOD 42.5% and CODMn, 63.5% was removed and the removal efficiency of some metals are shown as Pb 93.5%, Zn 86.5% and Fe 80.6%. The concentration of the effluent was SS 9mg/ι, BOD 98.4mg/ι, and CODMn 138.4mg/ι. 3. The removal efficiency in treating washout wastewater of incinerator through HBC-briquet media was getting higher with increasing HRT, and mixed wastewater with 1:1, 1:2 ratio could be met up to the standard limit with higher HRT than 12hr. Under the condition of 1:2 mix ratio and HRT 24 hr, removal efficiency of SS, BOD, CODMn, T-N and T-P was 92.1%, 90%, 87%, 48.2% and 48%, respectively, and the concentration of treated wastewater was SS 2.9 mg/ι, BOD 10.3mg/ι, CODMn 14.1mg/ι, T-N 11.6 mg/ι and T-P 1.3 mg/ι, respectively.

팔미틴산덱사메타손이 봉입된 지질나노입자의 제조: 지질종류와 함량에 따른 물리적 특성 (Preparation of Dexamethasone-21-palmitate Incorporated Lipid Nanosphere: Physical Properties by Varying Components and Ratio of Lipid)

  • Intraarticular corticosteroid injections for therapy of rheumatic arthritis are administered with the aim of optimal local anti-inflammatory effect at the injection site. Since the side effects of corticosteroidal drug, dexamethasone(DEX), administered at hish dose limited the therapeutic efficacy, there was a need to design a new drug delivery system for controlled release of dexamethasone. As a prodrug for continuous therapeutic efficacy, dexamethasone-21-palmitate(DEX-PAL) was prepared via esterification of palmitoyl chloride and dexamethasone. DEX-PAL was identified by NMR and MASS analysis. DEX-PAL or DEX was entrapped in lipid nanosphere which could be prepared by using a self emulsification-solvent evaporation method. Physicochemical characteristics such as mean particle diameter, zeta potential and drug loading efficiency of the lipid nanospheres were investigated with variation of either the kind of lipid or the lipid composition. The lipid nanospheres had a mean diameter $83{\sim}95$ nm and DEX-PAL loading efficiency of up to 95%. The drug loading efficiency increased with the increase of aliphatic chain length attached to the phospholipid. The incorporation of cationic lipid was very efficient for both reducing particle size of lipid nanospheres and enhancing drug loading efficiency. The lipid nanospheres containing DEX-PAL may be a promising novel drug carrier for the controlled release of the poorly water-soluble drugs.

저온 플라스마 공정을 이용한 알루미늄 표면의 건식 세정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Dry Cleaning of Aluminium Surfaces by Low Temperature Plasma Process)

  • 저온 플라스마 공정을 이용하여 알루미늄 표면에 묻은 윤활유를 세정하였다. 아르곤이 혼합된 산소 플라스마를 사용하였으며, 아르곤의 혼합비, 방전전력, negative DC potential 등의 공정변수를 변화시키면서 실험을 수행하였다. 저온 플라스마 세정 후 케이스의 표면을 FTIR과 EDX를 사용하여 분석한 결과 순수 윤활유의 경우 대부분이 20 min 안에 제거되었다. 제거효율은 저온 플라스마 공정조건에 따라 크게 달라졌으며, 산소에 아르곤이 약 30% 혼합된 기체를 사용하여 케이스에 -500 V 이상의 negative DC potential을 걸어주고 300 W로 처리할 때 가장 높은 효율을 보였다. 하지만, 무기물이 함유된 윤활유의 경우에는 어떤 조건에서도 60% 이상의 제거효율을 얻을 수 없었다.

Fenton 및 Photo-Fenton 산화공정을 이용한 염색 폐수의 처리에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Dye-Wastewater Treatment by Fenton and Photo-Fenton Oxidation Process)

  • Fenton’s oxidation process is one of the most commonly applied processes to the wastewater which cannot be treated by conventional biological treatment processes. However, it is necessary to minimize the cost of Fenton’s oxidation treatment by modifying the treatment processes or other means of chemical treatment. So, as a method for the chemical oxidation of biorefractory or nonbiodegradable organic pollutants, the Photo-Fenton-Reaction which utilizes iron(11)salt. $H_2O$$_2$ and UV-light simultaneously has been proprosed. Therfore, the purpose of this study is to test a removal efficiency of dye-wastewater and treatment cost with Fenton’s and Photo-Fenton’s oxidation process. The Fe(11)/$H_2O$$_2$ reagent is referred to as the fenton’s reagent. which produces hydroxy radicals by the interaction of Fe(11) with $H_2O$$_2$. In this exoeriment, the main results are as followed; 1. The Fenton oxidation was most efficient in the pH range of 3-5. The optimal condition for initial reaction pH was 3.5 for the high CO $D_{Cr}$ & TOC-removal efficiency. 2. The removal efficiency of TOC and CO $D_{Cr}$ increased up to the molar ration between ferrate and hydrogen peroxide 0.2:1, but above that ratio removal efficiency hardly increased. 3. The highest removal efficiency of TOC and CO $D_{Cr}$ were showed when the mole ration of ferrate to hydrogen peroxide was 0.2:3.4. 4. Without pretreatment process, photo-fenton oxidation which was not absorbed UV light was not different to fenton oxidation. 5. And Fenton oxidtion with pretreatment process was similar to Fenton oxidation in the absence of coagulation, the proper dosage of F $e^{2+}$: $H_2O$$_2$ was 0.2:1 for the optimal removal efficiency of TOC or CO $D_{Cr}$ .6. Also, TOC & CO $D_{Cr}$ removal efficiency in the photo-fenton oxidation with pretreatment was increased when UV light intensity enhanced.7. Optimum light intensity in the range from 0 to 1200 W/$m^2$ showed that UV-intensity with 1200W/$m^2$ was the optimum condition, when F $e_{2+}$:$H_2O$$_2$ ratio for the highest decomposition was 0.2:2.5.EX>$_2$ ratio for the highest decomposition was 0.2:2.5.

식물세포배양으로부터 파클리탁셀 회수를 위한 무기염이 첨가된 액-액 추출 (Liquid-Liquid Extraction for Recovery of Paclitaxel from Plant Cell Cultures by Adding Inorganic Salts)

  • 본 연구에서는 무기염을 첨가한 액-액 추출에 의해 식물세포인 바이오매스로부터 파클리탁셀 회수 방법을 획기적으로 개선하고자 하였다. 다양한 무기염(NaCl, KCl, $K_2HPO_4$, $NaH_2PO_4$, $NaH_2PO_4{\cdot}2H_2O$)을 이용하여 추출효율을 조사한 결과, NaCl에서 가장 낮은 분배계수(0.053)로 가장 높은 파클리탁셀 수율(~96%)을 얻을 수 있었다. NaCl을 이용한 액-액 추출에서 최적의 NaCl/용매 비와 메틸렌 클로라이드/메탄올 비는 각각 1%(w/v)와 26%(v/v)이었다. 또한 최적의 NaCl/용매 비와 메틸렌 클로라이드/메탄올 비에서 파클리탁셀 함량에 따른 영향을 조사한 결과, 순수 파클리탁셀 함량 0.066%(w/v)에서 가장 낮은 분배계수(0.053)로 가장 높은 수율(~96%)을 얻을 수 있었다. 기존 액-액 추출의 경우 총 3회의 추출로 파클리탁셀을 95% 정도 회수 가능한 반면 무기염을 이용한 방법의 경우 단 1회 추출로 대부분의 파클리탁셀을 회수(~96%) 가능하였다.

Rubrene:CuPc 정공 수송층이 도입된 p-i-n형 유기 박막 태양전지의 성능 특성 연구 (Performance Characteristics of p-i-n type Organic Thin-film Photovoltaic Cell with Rubrene:CuPc Hole Transport Layer)

  • 박막형 유기 태양전지의 효율 향상을 위하여 정공 수송층인 CuPc 층에 p형 유기 반도체인 rubrene을 함량 별로 도핑하여 ITO/PEDOT:PSS/CuPc: rubrene/CuPc:C60(blending ratio 1:1)/C60/BCP/Al의 이종접합구조를 가지는 p-i-n형 유기 박막형 태양전지 소자를 제조한 후, 유기 태양전지의 전류 밀도-전압(J-V) 특성, 단락 전류($J_{sc}$), 개방 전압($V_{oc}$), 충진 인자(fill factor:FF), 에너지 전환 효율(${\eta}_e$) 등을 측정하고 계산하여 성능 평가를 수행 하였다. 정공 수송층으로 사용된 CuPc 층에 rubrene을 도핑함으로써 에너지 흡수 스펙트럼에서 흡수 강도가 감소하였다. 그러나 CuPc 보다 큰 밴드갭을 가지며 높은 정공 이동도를 가지는 결정성 rubrene의 도핑에 의해 제조된 p-i-n형 유기 박막 태양전지의 성능은 향상 되는 것으로 확인되었다. 제조된 유기 태양전지의 에너지 전환 효율(${\eta}_e$)은 1.41%로 실리콘 태양전지와 비교해서 아직도 성능 향상을 위한 많은 노력이 필요함을 보여 준다.

Energy Transfer from Ethidium to Cationic Porphyrins Mediated by DNA and Synthetic Polynucleotides at Low Binding Densities

  • The fluorescence of ethidium bound to DNA, poly[d(A-T)$_2$], and poly[d(G-C)$_2$] at a [ethidium]/[DNA] ratio of 0.005 was quenched by porphyrins when both ethidium and the porphyrins simultaneously bound to the same polynucleotide. The quenching was tested using the "inner sphere" and the "Forster resonance energy transfer" (FRET) models, with the latter found to contribute, at least in part, to the quenching. Meso-tetrakis(N-methylpyridinium-4-yl)porphyrin (TMPyP) exhibited a higher quenching and FRET efficiency than cis-bis(N-methylpyridinium-4-yl)porphyrin (BMPyP) for all of the tested DNA and polynucleotides, demonstrating that energy transfer efficiency is affected by the number of positive charges of porphyrins.
