매트릭스 법에 의한 완전 도체의 산란 특성 (Application of matrix methods to scattering by conducting bodies)

  • A numerical method is presented for the scattering by the perfectly conducting cylinder with arbitrary cross sections. The relevant integral equation considered by the E-field formulation is solved by method of moments, and thereby the surface current induced as well as the radar cross section of the scatterer are numerically computed to specify the scattering nature of the scatterer. Two separate methods, one with point matching and the other Galerkin's method, are considered to make cross checks to the results obtained. Taking two half pulses suggested to expand the surface current shows savings in computation time and accurate solutions for the corners on the scatterer.

  • In this paper, a channel routing algorithm which considers cycle problem is proposed. The requirements of routing is given by pin numbers which imply interconnections between a upper block and lower block of the channel. Output is represented by interconnections among equipotential pins. When input is given, the algorithm constructs a channel representation graph and makes weight of each net. And then it checks cycle and finidhes the routing. If the cycle is detected, it finds path with maze routing. This algorithm have coded in C language on IBM-PC /AT. If cycle is not detected, the results are near optimal values. If it is detected, routing is possible as well.

  • In this paper,a network interface unit of token-passing bus network and its driving software are implemented based on Mini-MAP. This network interface unit performs the function of MAC layer which is responsible for transmission and reception of frames as well as the management of logical ring. The driving software performs the management of data buffer and the report of errors, if ocoured, to the higher layer. Motorola MC68824 of is used as a TBC(Token Bus Controller) and Intel80186 as a CPU for network interface unit. The operation of network interface unit is verified by self-test which checks the functioning of TBC and CPU. In addition each module of driving software is tested to check the functions regarding transmission and reception of frames.

Probabilistic Approach on Railway Infrastructure Stability and Settlement Analysis

  • Railway construction needs vast soil investigation for its infrastructure foundation designs along the planned railway path to identify the design parameters for stability and serviceability checks. The soil investigation data are usually classified and grouped to decide design input parameters per each construction section and budget estimates. Deterministic design method which most civil engineer and practitioner are familiar with has a clear limitation in construction/maintenance budget control, and occasionally produced overdesigned or unsafe design problems. Instead of using a batch type analysis with predetermined input parameters, data population collected from site soil investigation and design load condition can be statistically estimated for the mean and variance to present the feature of data distribution and optimized with a best fitting probability function. Probabilistic approach using entire feature of design input data enables to predict the worst, best and most probable cases based on identified ranges of soil and load data, which will help railway designer select construction method to save the time and cost. This paper introduces two Monte Carlo simulations actually applied on estimation of retaining wall external stability and long term settlement of organic soil in soil investigation area for a recent high speed railway project.

Formal Analysis of Automatic Train Protection and Block System for Regional Line Using VDM++

  • This paper introduced a novel railway system, Automatic Train Protection and Block (ATPB) briefly, which is proposed to improve the efficiency of existing regional train lines with low cost in Japan. The biggest superiority of ATPB system is a great use of universal and mature technologies, such as GPS and regular mobile telephone networks, so that there is nearly no increment of trackside equipments in the reconstruction. Then in order to guarantee the system safety, a formal model of ATPB is established and analyzed by formal method VDM++. Firstly, the specification is specified by VDM++ formally without ambiguity. Secondly, its internal consistency is proved by discharging the proof obligations. And finally, its satisfiability is checked by systematic testing, which executes specification and checks the outputs against corresponding inputs.

  • A periodic inspection for facilities in operation is an inspection that is carried out regularly, in which inspection cycles are drawn up, and it is a series of tests to determine if the condition of all the equipment is maintained, and to identify whether they are to be used or replaced. Reliability should be enhanced, without a breakdown, by preliminary inspection and regular checks for each equipment item installed for equipment maintenance. It was noticed that there was a slight difference for the same facility, and for each organization in terms of inspection cycles and methods while preparing procedures of periodic inspection checklist, inspection methods and cycles for a related organization. Therefore, this paper reviews the optimal methods of inspection procedures for Seoul Metro.

  • A new error estimation method is proposed. This utilizes the variation of energy functional about the mapping function between the global and the master elements. The resultant system of equations is the weak form of the generalized conservation checks. However, This formulation has an important information about the relations between the connected elements. In other words, some relations between the connected elements are obtained and these can be used very usefully to measure it posteriori error. In this paper, the explicit formulations are presented for the 1-dimensional model and the 2-dimensional model problems. Numerical results are provided for first order shear deformation theody of beam model and the plane stress problem.

  • 본 연구는 통합 구조설계 시스템의 구축에서 객체지향적인 방법론을 도입하여 건축 구조물을 객체모델링하고, 구조해석 객체모델(Structural Analysis Object Model, SAOM)과 구조설계 객체모델(Structural Design Object Model, SDOM)을 개발하여 통합 구조설계 시스템의 원형(Prototype)을 제시한다. 구조해석 객체모델은 구조부재를 모델링한 것으로 유한요소법을 이용하역 구조물의 해석을 실시하며, 구조설계 객체모델은 한국 강구조 기준에 의해 구조부재의 적합성을 검토하도록 모델링 하였다. 이 두 모델은 통합 구조설계 시스템을 구축하는데 유용하도록 의미 추상적이고, 캡슐화되고, 재사용성이 높다.

  • A controller and sensor fault tolerant system jot a steam generator is designed with fuzzy logic. A structure of the : proposed fault tolerant redundant system is composed of a supervisor and two fuzzy weighting modulators. A supervisor alternatively checks a controlled and a sensor induced performances to identify Which Part, a controller or a sensor, is faulty. In order to analyze controller induced performance both an error and a charge in error of the system output an chosen as fuzzy variables. The fuzzy logic jot a sensor induced performance uses two variables : a deviation between two sensor outputs and its frequency, Fuzzy weighting modulator generates an output signal compensated for faulty input signal. Simulations show that the : proposed fault tolerant control scheme jot a steam generator regulates welt water level by suppressing fault effect of either controllers or sensors. Therefore through duplicating sensors and controllers with the proposed fault tolerant scheme, both a reliability of a steam generator control and sensor system and that of a power plant increase even mote.

Design and Implementation of the Authentication System for In-app Billing in Mobile Environments

  • In this paper, we propose the authentication server system that prevent hacking in In-app billing applications. And we also propose the methods to verify electronic receipt for the payment of internal app payments and to check the integrity of the applications. Then we designed the payment metabolic system that checks between products-offer list and paid subscription if payment system is hacked with new hacking technologies different from existing ones. And then we implemented proposed authentication system and experimented with about 10,000 average internal application payments per an hour. It shows that proposed system has defensive techniques that counter attacks against in-app billing but it takes more than 0.8916 seconds than no-certification system that is considered as relatively short time.
