Material Life Cycle Assessment of Graphene 2wt% Added to Li1.6Ni0.35Mn0.65O2 Half-Cell (그래핀 2wt%를 첨가한 Li1.6Ni0.35Mn0.65O2 Half-Cell의 물질 전 과정 평가)

  • Lithium secondary batteries have become an important power source for portable electronic devices such as cellular phones, laptop computers. Presently, commercialized lithium-ion batteries use a LiCoO2 cathode. However, due to the high cost and environmental problems resulting from cobalt, an intensive search for new electrode materials is being actively conducted. Recently, solid solution LiMn1-xNixO2 have become attractive because of high capacity and enhanced safety at high voltages over 4.5 V. The Li1.6Ni0.35Mn0.65O2 compounds were conventionally prepared by a sol-gel method, which can produce the layered Li-Ni-Mn-O compounds with a high homogeneity. And by adding a graphene 2wt% the first charge-discharge voltage profiles was increased over Li1.6Ni0.35Mn0.65O2 compound. Also, the variation s of the discharge capacities with cycling showed a higher capacity retention rater. In this study, material lifecycle evaluation was performed to analyze the environmental impact characteristics of Li1.6Ni0.35Mn0.65O2 & graphene 2wt% half-cell manufacturing process. The software of material life cycle assessment was Gabi. Through this, environmental impact assessment was performed for each process. The environmental loads induced by Li1.6Ni0.35Mn0.65O2 & graphene 2wt% synthesis process were quantified and analyzed, and the results showed that the amount of power had the greatest impact on the environment.

A Study on the Improvement of Efficiency by Scribing Transparent Conducting Oxide of Dye-sensitized Solar Cell (염료감응형 태양전지의 투명 전극 식각을 통한 효율 향상 연구)

  • Dye-sensitized solar cell using transparent conducting oxide as electrode has large resistance such as surface resistance, charge transportation impedance in counter electrode and electrolyte, impedance between each interface. Among that resistances, surface resistance of transparent conducting oxide is relatively large. So the change of transparency has a large effect on internal resistance of dye-sensitized solar cell. Consequently, that change cause to increase or decrease the conversion efficiency. We tried to reduce the surface resistance by laser-scribing. The active area is seperated from total transparent conducting oxide by Nd:YAG laser-scribing. As a result, we achieved the improvement of efficiency about 7% and 11% in case of $0.25cm^2$ and $1.00cm^2$ dye-sensitized solar cells.

  • In this paper, ESS capacity installed in industrial customer is calculated using economic analysis. To do this, electric charge for industrial customer is analyzed and power management system(PMS) of ESS is selected. Reduction of kW cost and kWh cost are set to 'benefit' according to operation of ESS. Also, installation cost and maintenance cost of ESS are set to 'cost'. Proper ESS capacity is determined as a result of benefit-to-cost(B/C) analysis according to the variation of ESS installation cost. In case study, B/C is analyzed for the specific industrial customer and minimum capacity of ESS to make a profit are proposed for the customer.

  • This paper focuses on algorithms based on the evolution, which is applied to various optimization problems. Especially, among these algorithms based on the evolution, we investigate the simple genetic algorithm based on Darwin's evolution, the Lamarckian algorithm based on Lamark's evolution and the Baldwin algorithm based on the Baldwin effect and also Investigate the difference among them in the biological and engineering aspects. Finally, through this comparison, we suggest a new algorithm to find more various solutions changing the genotype or phenotype search space and show the performance of the proposed method. Conclusively, the proposed method showed superior performance to the previous method which was applied to the constrained minimum spanning tree problem and known as the best algorithm.

  • 본 논문에서는 고정비용수송문제와 같은 다양한 네트워크 최적화 문제들에 적용될 수 있는 새로운 진화 알고리즘을 소개한다. 제안하는 알고리즘은 기존의 진화 알고리즘과 비교에서 두가지 다른 특징을 지닌다. 첫째, 해 표현법이 다르다. 초기에, 모든 유전인자 값이 '0'으로 설정된다. 둘째, 각 해들은 일치하는 적합도 값에 따라 일종의 라마크식(Lamarckian) 적응 과정을 수행한다. 제안하는 적응적 진화 알고리즘의 성능을 측정하기 위해 고정비용수송문제에 적용하였으며 또한 동시에 제안하는 알고리즘을 최적화하기 위해 다양한 실험을 수행하였다. 결론적으로, 제안하는 알고리즘은 기존에 고정비용수송문제를 위해 제안된 가장 우수한 알고리즘보다 더 우수한 성능을 보여주었다.

  • Revenue management is a new approach method to solve the problem of supply and demand, and one of fields which is diffused quickly at the service enterprise to use perishable-asset like the transportation business. It is based on multiple fare policy that discount charge reservation should be received if the benefit value of current discount fare is more than expected profit of the normal fare reservation it will be able to occur in future when suitable goods is sold to the customers at discount fare, at the time they want, and at assigned seat by controlling supply and demand from market. In this research, I will review on initial operation case for special class goods that the seat which is limited is assigned at some of train and portion of KTX for demand dispersion and new demand creation at peak time, put a limit in purchase conditions, and provides discounted fare. I will also try to find implication for strategic operation.

  • Recently, many new constructuion and large scale modification of railway are performed for cost down of goods delivery charge and effective transportation in various aspect. Although railway traffic is environmentally frendly in many part but weak in noise and vibration problem. For the reduction and efficient management of railway noise, first of all prediction of railway noise is necessarily requisted. In domestic and abroad many studies for prediction of railway nearby noise are done. In this study simple modelling technique is investigated for railway noise prediction when railway passes above elevated concrete bridge as well as ground. Predicted results are compared with measured results and it is known that suggested modelling technique can be used for more precise prediction of railway nearby noise.

In this paper, we compare the electricity charge between industrial power system with ESS - this case's operation is based on Non-prediction operation method. - and without ESS.   • Global primary energy demand is projected to increase by 1.7% per year from 2000 to 2030. Almost three-quaters of the increase in demand will come from the transportation sector. Fuel cell hybrid vehicle technology has the potential to significantly reduce energy and harmful emissions, as well as our dependence on foreign oil. In this paper, a systematic and logical methodology is developed and improved mainly to design light duty fuel cell hybrid electric vehicle. We investigated structure and characteristics of light duty FC hybrid vehicle carefully. It can easily be expanded to analyze vehicle-to-grid power connectable plug-in NeHEV. A fuel cell hybrid neighbourhood electric vehicle configuration has been studied in-depth utilizing the proposed methodology.

  • A controller design method for a battery-energy storage system using a linearized battery model is presented in this paper. The suggested linear battery model is expressed with open-circuit voltage having three relaxation filters and a linear output equation. A method to obtain on-line resistance and maximum available power is also presented. The battery state of charge information is obtained by Kalman filter, and its performance is verified by FTP75 driving cycles. The controller for power converter is designed and experimented with a 250 V battery pack. The proposed control method is simple and easy to apply to a real system.
