  • This paper describes a real time digital simulation method for the application of HTS tape to power devices. At present, in order to extend the power capacity of some area which has a serious problem of power quality, especially metropolitan complex city. there are so many problems such as ROW for cable line routes, space for downtown substations, and the environmental protection, etc. HTS technology is one of the best solutions. Simulation is required for safety before install of HTS power cable, a fabrication model used at the power system simulation. Here, in this paper, authors developed an algorithm connected with HTS by using Real-Time Digital Simulator(RTDS).

  • This paper shows a method to design complementary filter using least square. The complementary filter is one of useful filters estimating angle. The basic concept of this filter is to enhance advantages of each sensor that angle detecting using a gyroscope has good accuracy at a high frequency and an accelerometer at a low frequency. When designing complementary filter, the most commonly used method is using cut-off frequency. However, it may be not easy to obtain a cut-off frequency. This paper presents a systematic method to determine the coefficients of the complementary filter using well-known linear least squares minimizing error between estimating angle and true angle.

  • This paper shows to stabilize a balancing robot. We derive the dynamics of a balancing robot and design its controller using LQR method. For stabilizing balancing robot, we introduce a method to detect an angle using inertial sensors. In this study, we use a complementary filter to fuse signals by frequency response of gyroscope and accelerometer in order to measure the inclined angle of balancing robot. The filter coefficients are obtained by least square to minimize error in angle-detecting filter design. And then, after we derive a dynamics of balancing robot using Lagrange method, we linearize that dynamics for using LQR method.

  • This paper shows an experimental study of home appliance motor noise, also represents some relations between skew-types and skew-angles. Frequency analysis was made for stator and rotor harmonic fluxes. making use of searching coils. Besides electrical analysis, mechanical noise trans mission analysis are studied to lee how they affected on the noise of the motor. Finally, we proved the noise sources of the motor using sound intensity method.

  • This paper deals with an anti-sway control for a ship-mounted container crane which is disturbed by the wave-induced motions of the ship. We derive a simple dynamics of the ship-mounted container crane with an active anti-sway control system and transform it into a dynamic function for a horizontal variable on the absolute coordinate. Then we propose an control method to reduce pendulation of the spreader and compare its performance with well-known feedback linearization control in computer simulation.

  • This paper deals with control system design strategy for electrolmaginetic suspension (E.M.S.) system. For a successful control of E.M.S. system, the nature of E.M.S. system is deeply studied in the view point of non-linear, open-loop unstable, time-varying, non-minimum phase system. To find a special control treatment for E.M.S. system, analyses and simulations for various models are carried out. As one of the successful candidates, adaptive control concept is introduced and sample hardware system using digital signal processor is implemented.

  • A stabilizing system of EOTS is constructed. This system has two major parts. One of them is for detecting the moving motion of a vehicle with electronic gyroscope. The other is for driving of two axes of the platform where the sensor is attached. The controller used in this paper is DSP(TMS320c31) and two BLDC DD motor are used.
