Evaluation of Colour Difference Between Cotton Dyed Fabrics and Reflection Print Images Using CAD Systems (CAD 시스템을 이용한 면염직물과 스캐닝 프린트 이미지간의 색차 평가)

  • 컴퓨터와 첨단영상매체의 발달로 디자인 분야에서도 컴퓨터를 사용하여 색을 자유롭게 선택할 수 있는 그래픽 소프트웨어가 도입되고 있으나 영상정보의 색채 재현성과 영상입출력 장치의 다양화로 인한 색채 불일치에 대한 문제들이 극복해야할 시급한 과제로 부각되고 있다. 따라서, 색채 영상정보 입출력장치의 색채구현 성능과 인간의 색채인지 원리이론을 바탕으로 색보정 알고리즘이 발전하여 색보정 엔진의 개발이 국제적으로 활발히 진행되고 있는 연구 분야임에도 불구하고 국내에서는 그 연구사례가 상대적으로 극히 미비한 실정이며, 더욱이, CAD 시스템을 이용한 패션/텍스타일 디자인 분야에서는 이에 대한 연구가 거의 이루어지지 않고 있다. 본 연구에서는 염색 직물의 색을 CAD시스템을 이용하여 soft-copy로 재현하고 이것을 다시 hard-copy로 출력하여 물리적 측정치와 주관적 색채 인지도간의 일치도를 비교하고, 물리적, 주관적 색차의 한계치를 제시함으로써, 패션/텍스타일 디자인 CAD시스템 운용에 기초가 되는 자료를 제공하려 하였다. 연구의 절차는 객관적 측정과 주관적 평가 두 단계로 나누어 진행되었다 연구에 사용된 직물은 7가지 색상의 면 염직물로써, CAD시스템을 이용하여 각 직물당 5개의 soft-copy를 재현하고, 이것을 다시 hard-copy로 출력하여 spectrophotometer를 이용해 물리적 측정(ΔE, ΔL, Δc, Δh)을 실시하였다. 또한 주관적 평가에는 20명의 의류학 전공 학생들이 참여하였다. 결과 분석에는 분산분석과 Friedman분석이 사용되었다. 연구 결과 색차 측정에 대한 물리적 측정치와 1차 주관적 평가치 사이의 일치도는 90.5%로 나타났으며, 2차 주관적 평가치와의 rank order는 거의 일치하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 주관적 평가에서 피험자들은 색차인지에 있어 CIELAB 색채공간의 각각의 색요소 차이보다는 전체 색차에 더 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다.녹색콩풍뎅이의 유충에 의하여 피해를 받는 것이 확인되었다. 녹색콩풍뎅이 유충의 피해를 받은 금잔디는 황화되거나 시들음 증상이 있었고, 이듬해 봄에는 잔디의 회복이 지연되었다.ic conductivity. An approach to capture travelers' choice behaviour in response to unexperienced transportation modes: A case study of Personal Rapid Transit (미경험 교통수단에 대한 이용자 선택행태 분석: Personal Rapid Transit 사례를 중심으로)

  • Personal Rapid Transit (PRT) has emerged as a promising alternative transportation mode for transit-oriented sustainable communities by creating compact and walkable environments with competitive construction and operational costs. This study seeks to capture the changes in travel mode choice behavior in response to the introduction of PRT to travelers who have no previous experience of using it. A critical issue in modeling the PRT mode choice is how to capture travelers' perception and evaluation of the unexperienced travel mode. The data used come from questionnaire surveys, in which RP (Revealed Preference) and SP (Stated Preference) data were collected in relation to travel mode choices with and without PRT systems. The questionnaire was designed especially for mitigating the potential bias in favor of or against choosing PRT. In addition, an efficient approach was proposed to reduce the number of SP questions by avoiding the complex fractional factorial design which tends to make it difficult for respondents to keep their attention throughout the survey. The analysis results show that the proposed approach is able to realistically capture the effects of explanatory variables on the travel mode choice. Discrete choice models are developed to predict travelers' mode choices under different choice scenarios by varying PRT system specifications and operational characteristics. PRT patronages are projected for two different test sites using the developed PRT mode choice models.

  • Recently, with the spread of smart device and the introduction of web services, the data is rapidly increasing online, and it is utilized in various fields. In particular, the emergence of social media in the big data field has led to a rapid increase in the amount of unstructured data. In order to extract meaningful information from such unstructured data, interest in big data technology has increased in various fields. Big data is becoming a key resource in many areas. Big data's prospects for the future are positive, but concerns about data breaches and privacy are constantly being addressed. On this subject of big data, where positive and negative views coexist, the research of analyzing people's opinions currently lack. In this study, we compared the changes in peoples perception on big data based on unstructured data collected from the social media using a text mining. As a results, yearly keywords for domestic big data, declining positive opinions, and increasing negative opinions were observed. Based on these results, we could predict the flow of domestic big data.

  • The online market is gradually increasing due to the increase in single-person households, the development of information and communication technologies, the emergence of various new products, and price comparison competition. Companies need differentiation strategies to adapt to changes in the online environment and secure a competitive edge. In this environment, the objective is to consider the importance of consumer perception of websites in order to generate continuous growth and revenue in the online market as well as to differentiate them from competitors using an online service environment that can affect consumers' internal responses. In this study, we present aesthetic, functional, privacy, and interaction factors as components of e-servicescape to study the impact of e-servicescape on website trust, brand attitude, and repurchase intention. In the data analysis, 485 ordinary people with online shopping experience were surveyed. The questionnaire was based on a 7-point Likert scale for each question and statistical analysis was conducted using SPSS 24.0 and AMOS 25.0. The analysis shows that in e-servicescapes aesthetic and privacy factors influence website trust and brand attitudes and consequently affect repurchase intention.

Effect of Elementary STEAM Program Emphasizing Engineering Design Process (공학적 설계 과정을 강조한 초등용 STEAM 프로그램의 효과)

  • In this study, a STEAM program emphasizing the engineering design process was developed and applied to investigate its effects on the creative engineering problem-solving proficiency and self-directed learning ability of elementary school students. In addition, the study compared and analyzed differences according to gender. The program was conducted across five sessions targeting 141 students in the fourth grade in an elementary school in the Gyeongin area. The study measured the creative engineering problem-solving disposition and self-directed learning ability of the students before and after the STEAM program. It also administered satisfaction and perception tests. The result confirmed that the STEAM program that emphasizes the engineering design process is effective in improving the creative engineering problem-solving propensity and self-directed learning ability of elementary school students, particularly female ones. Analyzing differences in changes based on gender, the study pinpointed significant improvements among female students in all factors except for the subfactor communication and collaboration within tendencies toward creative engineering problem-solving. For male students, the study observed significant effects in the factors engineering design and communication and collaboration. Lastly, the study discussed the educational implications of the findings.

An Exploratory Study on Academic Librarians' Perception of Predatory Journals (대학도서관 사서의 부실 의심 학술지 인식에 대한 탐색적 연구)

  • The emergence of Open Access (OA) and other changes to the academic publishing ecosystem have made the prevalence of predatory journals a significant concern. Academic librarians play a crucial role in the academic environment that protects researchers and takes action against predatory journals. Nonetheless, there isn't many research that looks into how academic librarians view and handle predatory journals. This study aims to give an exploratory analysis of the overall perceptions of predatory journals among university librarians in South Korea. A survey was administered to academic librarians between April 10 and May 1, 2024, and 78 respondents' answers were examined. The findings demonstrate that opinions among South Korean academic librarians on predatory journals are not all uniform. Based on their readiness and willingness to supply services, the respondents could be roughly categorized into four groups, according to cluster analysis. The study affirms that training librarians and improving cooperation between academic libraries and researchers are critical prerequisites for the advancement of services aimed at predatory publications. We anticipate that this study, which is the first of its type to explore how academic librarians in South Korea see predatory journals, will be a valuable starting point for university libraries as they plan and offer services related to predatory journals in the future.

  • The fourth industrial revolution will greatly contribute to the entry of objects into an intelligent society through technologies such as big data and an artificial intelligence. Through the revolution, we were able to understand human behavior and awareness, and through the use of an artificial intelligence, we established ourselves as a key tool in various fields such as medicine and science. However, the fourth industrial revolution has a negative side with a positive future. In this study, an analysis was conducted using text mining techniques based on unstructured big data collected through social media. We wanted to look at keywords related to the fourth industrial revolution by year (2016, 2017 and 2018) and understand the meaning of each keyword. In addition, we understood how the keywords related to the Fourth Industrial Revolution changed with the change of the year and wanted to use R to conduct a Keyword Analysis to identify the recognition flow closely related to the Fourth Industrial Revolution through the keyword flow associated with the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Finally, people's perceptions of the fourth industrial revolution were identified by looking at the positive and negative feelings related to the fourth industrial revolution by year. The analysis showed that negative opinions were declining year after year, with more positive outlook and future.

Gender Inequality in Equality Presented in Utopian Literature Looking Backward: 2000-1887 (유토피아 문학 『뒤를 돌아보며』에 제시된 평등 속 젠더 불평등)

  • This study examines gender inequality in the Utopian literature through Bellamy's novelLooking Backward: 2000-1887. Boston, USA, in 2000 is an equal society in which production and distribution are performed efficiently, and everyone can work with an equal opportunity without discrimination. But a closer look at the social structure shows that housework and parenting are predominantly women's duties, and the jobs that women and men can have are differentiating. Therefore, it is hard to say that true gender equality has been achieved. In addition, we could see that there were still remnants of gender inequality, such as showing the notion of beauty judged by male standards. However, Bellamy's Looking Backward: 2000-1887 is meaningful in that it improved women's status and suggested the direction and hope of social development in the 19th century. This study further examined whether these gender inequality factors have disappeared in modern society and confirmed that there remain many gender inequality factors. Therefore, we should all work together to improve the perception of members of society and make changes in social policies so that there is no discrimination between women and men so that we can truly become a gender-equal society.

  • 집중호우시 농경지에서 발생하는 흙탕물은 수질 및 수생태계를 오염시키며, 환경오염에 따른 사회·경제적 문제를 지속적으로 초래하고 있다. 정부와 지자체는 흙탕물 발생이 심각한 지역을 '비점오염원관리지역'으로 지정·고시하여 흙탕물 저감사업을 추진하였으나, 뚜렷한 성과를 나타내지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 최근 정부의 흙탕물 저감사업은 저감시설 설치 등과 같은 구조적 방법에서 발생원관리 중심으로 패러다임이 전환되고 있다. 농경지에서 발생하는 비점오염원의 발생원관리를 위해서는 주민들의 적극적인 참여가 필수적이나, 아직까지 주민들의 비점오염원에 대한 인식이 낮은 수준에 머무르고 있다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 주민참여 거버넌스를 구축하여 주민들의 인식을 개선하고, 주민들의 참여를 유도하여 농촌지역 실정에 맞는 주민참여형 농업비점오염 관리의 기반을 마련하고자 하였다. 연구대상지는 강원도 비점오염원관리지역인 가아지구 내 강원도 인제군 인제읍 가아2리 마을일원으로, 본 연구의 참여농가는 총 10농가, 참여농지 면적은 21.81 ha이다. 참여농가를 대상으로2022년 10월 9일, 10월 16일, 10월 23일 총 3회에 걸쳐 주민 교육을 실시하였으며, 주기적인 설문조사를 통해 교육 진행에 따른 주민 인식 변화를 측정하였다. 설문조사는 교육참여자를 대상으로 3회 실시하였으며, 농업비점오염 개념, 최적관리기법의 이해, 비점오염저감 활동참여 의지에 관한 내용으로 구성하였다. 설문조사 점수에 대한 기준은 전혀아니다(1점), 그렇지않다(2점), 보통이다(3점), 그렇다(4점), 매우 그렇다(5점)로 선정하였다. 설문조사 결과 농업비점오염원의 대한 이해도는 1차 62점, 2차 66점, 3차 80점, 최적관리기법의 이해도는 1차 59점, 2차 64점, 3차 75점, 비점오염저감 활동참여 의지도는 1차 61점, 2차 73점, 3차 80점으로 나타났다. 1차 설문조사 결과 대비 3차설문조사 결과 농업비점오염의 개념 및 최적관리기법의 이해도는 22.5, 21.3% 증가하는것으로 분석되었으며, 비점오염저감 활동참여 의지도는 23.8% 증가하는 것으로 분석되었다. 조사 결과와 같이 교육을 통해 주민들의 인식이 전환된 것으로 분석되었으며, 비점오염원 저감활동에 대한 의지가 표준 이상으로 나타나 주민 참여 거버넌스 구축 연구를 통해 실질적인 농촌 비점오염 관리가 가능할 것이라 기대된다.

Olympic Advertisers Win Gold, Experience Stock Price Gains During and After the Games (오운선수작위엄고대언인영득금패(奥运选手作为广告代言人赢得金牌), 비새중화비새후적고표개격상양(比赛中和比赛后的股票价格上扬))

  • There has been considerable research examining the relationship between stockholders equity and various marketing strategies. These include studies linking stock price performance to advertising, customer service metrics, new product introductions, research and development, celebrity endorsers, brand perception, brand extensions, brand evaluation, company name changes, and sports sponsorships. Another facet of marketing investments which has received heightened scrutiny for its purported influence on stockholder equity is television advertisement embedded within specific sporting events such as the Super Bowl. Research indicates that firms which advertise in Super Bowls experience stock price gains. Given this reported relationship between advertising investment and increased shareholder value, for both general and special events, it is surprising that relatively little research attention has been paid to investigating the relationship between advertising in the Olympic Games and its subsequent impact on stockholder equity. While attention has been directed at examining the effectiveness of sponsoring the Olympic Games, much less focus has been placed on the financial soundness of advertising during the telecasts of these Games. Notable exceptions to this include Peters (2008), Pfanner (2008), Saini (2008), and Keller Fay Group (2009). This paper presents a study of Olympic advertisers who ran TV ads on NBC in the American telecasts of the 2000, 2004, and 2008 Summer Olympic Games. Five hypothesis were tested: H1: The stock prices of firms which advertised on American telecasts of the 2008, 2004 and 2000 Olympics (referred to as O-Stocks), will outperform the S&P 500 during this same period of time (i.e., the Monday before the Games through to the Friday after the Games). H2: O-Stocks will outperform the S&P 500 during the medium term, that is, for the period of the Monday before the Games through to the end of each Olympic calendar year (December 31st of 2000, 2004, and 2008 respectively). H3: O-Stocks will outperform the S&P 500 in the longer term, that is, for the period of the Monday before the Games through to the midpoint of the following years (June 30th of 2001, 2005, and 2009 respectively). H4: There will be no difference in the performance of these O-Stocks vs. the S&P 500 in the Non-Olympic time control periods (i.e. three months earlier for each of the Olympic years). H5: The annual revenue of firms which advertised on American telecasts of the 2008, 2004 and 2000 Olympics will be higher for those years than the revenue for those same firms in the years preceding those three Olympics respectively. In this study, we recorded stock prices of those companies that advertised during the Olympics for the last three Summer Olympic Games (i.e. Beijing in 2008, Athens in 2004, and Sydney in 2000). We identified these advertisers using Google searches as well as with the help of the television network (i.e., NBC) that hosted the Games. NBC held the American broadcast rights to all three Olympic Games studied. We used Internet sources to verify the parent companies of the brands that were advertised each year. Stock prices of these parent companies were found using Yahoo! Finance. Only companies that were publicly held and traded were used in the study. We identified changes in Olympic advertisers' stock prices over the four-week period that included the Monday before through the Friday after the Games. In total, there were 117 advertisers of the Games on telecasts which were broadcast in the U.S. for 2008, 2004, and 2000 Olympics. Figure 1 provides a breakdown of those advertisers, by industry sector. Results indicate the stock of the firms that advertised (O-Stocks) out-performed the S&P 500 during the period of interest and under-performed the S&P 500 during the earlier control periods. These same O-Stocks also outperformed the S&P 500 from the start of these Games through to the end of each Olympic year, and for six months beyond that. Price pressure linkage, signaling theory, high involvement viewers, and corporate activation strategies are believed to contribute to these positive results. Implications for advertisers and researchers are discussed, as are study limitations and future research directions.
