  • Recently, the space organization of Korean-Chinese houses is different from that of other territories. The vast land of China, coming from different hometown in Korean peninsula, and the different hometown in Korean peninsula, and the different procedure of settlement seem to make the different space organization of Chinese-Korean single family housing at the urban area in Liaoning Province. The characteristics of the Korean-Chinese space organization of single family housing at the urban area in Liaoning Province are as follows;i)Three types of space organization are central kitchen type, central corridors types, and central living room type. ii)The central kitchen type is mainly in old urban housing, after 1980's, the central corridor type appears in single family housing, and central living room type appears 1990's.iii) It seems that the main reason to change the space organization are fuel, system of heating, influence of Korea housing. Especially, Korean-Chinese like central living room type that is suitable for sit down living style. This central living room type supposes to be used as popular space organization in urban housing.

  • We prove a central limit theorem for the negatively associated random variables in a Hilbert space and extend this result to the linear process generated by negatively associated random variables in a Hilbert space. Our result implies an extension of the central limit theorem for the linear process in a real space under negative association to a simplest case of infinite dimensional Hilbert space.

  • Because of the limited land resources, an efficient land use management to reach the sustainable development policy has become an urgent call in Taiwan. A long-term project entitled 'National land use monitoring program-the establishment of a land use change detection system' has been jointly conducted by both National Central University and Ministry of Interior since year of 2001. The main aim of the project is to use the remote sensing images to detect the land use changes on a national scale. This plan has been put into practice and indeed provides an effective assistance for land management.

  • In this paper, we study the boundedness of the commutator Hb formed by the rough Hardy operator H and a locally integrable function b from homogeneous Herz spaces to homogeneous weak Herz spaces. In addition, the weak boundedness of Hb on central Morrey spaces is also established.

  • Near-IR observations of the central few parsecs of our Galaxy from the HST/NICMOS have been analyzed to produce H, K photometry. We have cross-identified our photometry with the Keck high-resolution spectrometry of the central 0.5 pc of our galaxy to distinguish evolved late-type stars from early-type stars, and use late-type stars as tracer population. We perform several statistical tests to find the best fitting parameters of stellar density distribution and velocity dispersion models, then derive volume number densities and velocity dispersions. The volume number density distribution has power law index $1.55\~1.7$. We then derive the mass distribution in the Central region of our Galaxy using the Jeans equation.

  • We investigate the plausibility of mass return, from stellar mass loss processes within the central ~100 pc region of the Milky Way (the inner nuclear bulge), as a mass supply mechanism for the Circumnuclear Disk (CND). Gas in the Galactic disk migrates inward to the Galactic centre due to the asymmetric potential caused by the Galactic bar. The inward migration of gas stops and accumulates to form the central molecular zone (CMZ), at 100-200 pc from the Galactic center. It is commonly assumed that stars have formed in the CMZ throughout the lifetime of the Galaxy and have diffused inward to form a 'r-2 stellar cusp' within the inner nuclear bulge. We propose that the stars migrating inward from the CMZ supply gas to the inner nuclear bulge via stellar mass loss, resulting in the formation of a gas disk along the Galactic plane and subsequent inward migration down to the central 10 pc region (CND). We simulate the evolution of a gas distribution that initially follows the stellar distribution of the aforementioned stellar cusp, and illustrate the potential gas supply toward the CND.

  • In this study, a new technique for atmospheric transmittance estimated from ALOS PRISM data is developed. It is based on satellite's observing radiances of different view angles and assumes that the cause of difference in radiances is the different view angles. The ALOS PRISM has three independent optical systems for viewing forward and backward and producing a stereoscopic image along the satellite's track. This stereo pair data can be used to estimate the transmittance according to the radiative transfer theory. This derived transmittance will be validated by the AERONET data and compared with the MODTRAN4 simulation results. Results show that the higher the land cover albedo, the better the derived transmittance compared to the AERONET data. Besides, this technique also shows the transmittance retrieval will be underestimated for the low land cover albedo.

  • This article describes esthetic improvement in a patient with a missing maxillary left central incisor. Space analysis of the anterior dentition showed that minor tooth rearrangement was needed. Optimal space distribution for restorations was attained by orthodontic treatment. Through transforming tooth shape with porcelain laminate veneers, the maxillary left lateral incisor was transformed into central incisor and the maxillary left canine into a lateral incisor. The maxillary right central incisor was also restored for esthetic improvement. In a case of changing a tooth shape with porcelain laminate veneers, pre-treatment evaluation, space analysis and diagnostic wax-up are important factors.

  • The experimental investication wax performed to study fitness of casting crowns with various investment widely used in Korea. 36 wax patterns were invested and casted according to the regular casting method. The result were as follow : 1. Casting with cristobalite investments of Shofu were seen apart, 0.04mm the tightest space in the linguo and bucco-cervical margin. And the largest deviation, 0.1mm was shown in the central groove 0.1mm was shown in the central groove area of occlusal surface(Jensen Metal) 2. • A major cause of missing permanent incisors is congenital abscence and extraction because of trauma and pathologic condition. The request for restoration of missing or spaced anterior teeth is common in dental practice. Problems, such as the tilting, drifting, and rotation of teeth adjacent to the space, complicate the restoration of apperance, and a normally simple restorative dental procedure may become difficult. There are two primary treatment alternatives to improving a dentition's irregular and spaced apperance-closing the space by orthodontic means or providing a prosthesis to disguise the space. The treatment choice depends on many variables, but, as a general rule, patients with a normal overbite, overjet, and buccal relationship are better treated by maintaining the sapce and providing a prosthesis, either fixed or removable. This case report presents two cases : Traumatic loss of maxillary right and left central incisors, Extraction of malformed mandibular right central inciosr. The loss of central incisor space was regained by the fixed-removable and fixed orthodontic appliance, and then Maryland bridge was cemented.
