The RIMGIS(River Information Management GIS) has been developed since 2000 for public service and practical applications of related works after the standardization of national river data such as the river facility register report, river survey map, attached map, and etc. The RIMGIS has been improved in order to respond proactively to change in the information environment. Recently, Smart River-based river information services and related data have become so large as to be overwhelming, making necessary improvements in managing big data. In this study a plan was suggested both to respond to these changes in the information environment and to provide a future Smart River-based river information service by understanding the current state of RIMGIS, improving RIMGIS itself, redesigning the database, developing distribution, and integrating river information systems. Therefore, primary and foreign key, which can distinguish attribute information and entity linkages, were redefined to increase the usability of RIMGIS. Database construction of attribute information and entity relationship diagram have been newly redefined to redesign linkages among tables from the perspective of a river standard database. In addition, this study was undertaken to expand the current supplier-oriented operating system to a demand-oriented operating system by establishing an efficient management of river-related information and a utilization system capable of adapting to the changes of a river management paradigm.
[ ${\beta}$ ]Ketoacyl acyl carrier protein synthase I (KAS I) is involved in the elongation of unsaturated fatty acids in bacterial fatty acid synthesis and a therapeutic target of designing novel antibiotics. In this study, we performed receptor-oriented pharmacophore-based in silico screening of E. coli KAS I (ecKAS I) with the aim of identifying novel inhibitors. We determined one pharmacophore map and selected 8 compounds as candidates ecKAS I inhibitors. We discovered one antimicrobial compound, YKAe1008, N-(3-pyridinyl) hexanamide, displaying minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) values in the range of 128-256 ${\mu}g/mL$ against MRSA and VREF. YKAe1008 was subsequently assessed for binding to ecKAS I using saturation-transfer difference NMR spectroscopy. Further optimization of this compound will be carried out to improve its antimicrobial activity and membrane permeability against bacterial cell membrane.

Urban environmental problems such as flooding, depletion of ground water, pollution of urban streams and the heat island effect caused by urban development and climate change can be mitigated by the improvement of the urban water cycle. For the effective planning of water cycle management it is necessary to establish aerial Hydrotope Maps, with which we can estimate the status and change of the water allowance for any site. The structure of the German water balance model BAGLUVA, which is based on soil and vegetation, was analyzed and the input data and boundary condition of the model was compared with Korean data and research results. The BAGLUVA Model consists of 5 Input categories (climate, land use, topography, soil hydrology and irrigation). The structure and interconnection of these categories are analyzed and new concepts and implementation methods of topographic factor, maximum evapotranspiration ratio, effective rooting depth and Bagrov n parameter was compared and analyzed. The relation of real evapotranspiration ($ET_a$)-maximum evapotranspiration ($ET_{max}$) - precipitation (P) was via Bagrov n factor represented. The aerial and land use oriented Hydrotope Map can help us to investigate the water balance of small catchment areas and to set goals for volume of rainwater management and LID facilities effectively in the city. Further, this map is a useful tool for implementing water resource management within landscape and urban planning.
In this paper, we proposed a software framework structure to apply ORB-SLAM, the most representative of SLAM algorithms, so that map creation and location estimation technology can be applied through tethered AR glasses. Since tethered AR glasses perform only the role of an input/output device, the processing of camera and sensor data and the generation of images to be displayed through the optical display module must be performed through the host. At this time, an Android-based mobile device is adopted as the host. Therefore, the major libraries required for the implementation of AR contents for AR glasses were hierarchically organized, and spatial recognition and location estimation functions using SLAM were verified.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the gender difference in adolescent's problem behavior and depression, and The main aim of this study was to develop a fundamental web design to provide information content that would be easy for average consumers to understand based on the classification of information related to food safety. Based on the information obtained through in-depth interviews, the researchers developed an information classification system that meets the needs of consumers, and which serve as a basic framework for a homepage for a food safety information center. A total of 62 food items in 6 areas were selected based on reports of food safety related events occurring between 1998-2009 (KFDA 2008). The classification system of risk factors such as chemical risk factors and biological risk factors were categorized. The specific features of the information content for individual food items provided for classification based on evaluation by professional food scientists and the importance of risk factors. By providing a consumer participation section and company participation section, it was anticipated that the food safety information center would be able to act as a moderator for food safety information communication among consumers, the food industry, and the government. Based on the development of a classification system and framework, a design plan and tree-map for the internet site was developed.

The purpose of this study is to find out users' preference of the shares community space(SCS) for the Community Design. For this, it was analyzed the residents' behavior characteristics of the current multi-family housing and the residents' needs of the SCS. This study focused on seeking out the user-oriented design criteria for the planning of the SCS. The survey was carried out with a structured questionnaire including sketch map from Aug. 13, 2001 to Sept. 14, 2001. The subjects were housewives who's living in Haeuondae of Busan, Korea. Total number of 650 questionnaires were collected and analyzed. Especially 439 cases among them were used for analysis of mental map. The SPSS PC+ was used for the analysis of data. The results of this study are as follows : First, as to the users' behavior for the SCSs, there is a difference in the location of residents' activities by contents of them. And, the range of these locations categorized according to levels of spacial cognition for neighborhoods. Second, as to the analysis of the SCS through a mental maps, it was shown that the residents' pathway and the residents' location are main variables to be considered in the SCS planning. The preferred location of SCS is organized according to the character of the SCS; the one for most residents, is located the surrounding of main enterance or the center of the housing complex, and the one the neighbors living in the same or the near building is located in area of the block of resident buildings. Third, as the results of residents' needs analysis, the SCS has the meaning of community facilities. And there is a difference in the degree of necessity and in the preferred location according to character of the SCS. In detal, for the indoor SCS of a resident building, there is a difference in the preferred location according to the kinds of each SCS. And for the outdoor SCS, it is necessary to divide the planning zone of the SCS into 3 steps(the resident building, the block of resident buildings, and the housing complex).

Considering constantly increasing number of internet users and information-oriented society with high speed internet network, the application of computer technology is considered to be valuable in urban planning. Particularly, since using Geographic Information System (GIS) is expected to be the best method to convey the information related to the urban planning. Therefore, this study aims at the development of participation system by using GIS and Internet. The system consists of Basic Module, Disposal Module and Decision Support Module. Each module is designed for expressing planning information and processing database, opinion statement and convenience of citizens, and the effectiveness of administration process and decision making. These are connected each other in a basic and simple form, i.e. Java Script and HTML, and the system was realized through data process, Map date and PostGIS for Mapping, and PHP. Last but not least, this system has been tested on the internet and the result indicated its convenience and availability in actual use concluding that participation system has enough application value on urban planning process.

Rural roads are the significant infrastructure for developing and managing the rural areas, hence the utilization of the remote sensing datasets for managing the rural roads is necessary for expanding the rural transportation infrastructure and improving the life quality of the rural residents. In this research, the two different methods such as image classification and image segmentation were compared for mapping the rural road based on the given high-resolution satellite image acquired in the rural areas. In the image classification method, the deep learning with the multiple neural networks was employed to the given high-resolution satellite image for generating the object classification map, then the rural roads were mapped by extracting the road objects from the generated object classification map. In the image segmentation method, the multiresolution segmentation was employed to the same satellite image for generating the segment image, then the rural roads were mapped by merging the road objects located on the rural roads on the satellite image. We used the 100 checkpoints for assessing the accuracy of the two rural roads mapped by the different methods and drew the following conclusions. The image segmentation method had the better performance than the image classification method for mapping the rural roads using the give satellite image, because some of the rural roads mapped by the image classification method were not identified due to the miclassification errors occurred in the object classification map, while all of the rural roads mapped by the image segmentation method were identified. However some of the rural roads mapped by the image segmentation method also had the miclassfication errors due to some rural road segments including the non-rural road objects. In future research the object-oriented classification or the convolutional neural networks widely used for detecting the precise objects from the image sources would be used for improving the accuracy of the rural roads using the high-resolution satellite image.

The purpose of this study was to improve forestland characteristic evaluation system's indicators for rational development and ecosystem conservation. There has been no consideration for statistical duplication between variables, and it caused inefficient data collection. Furthermore, the same evaluation criteria were applied for all forestlands without considering regionally different characteristics, and it made variation for designation cancel rates of preservation semi-preservation forestlands between cities. To solve these problems, we first removed 'DBH' variable which has a multicollinearity. Second, we applied standard normal distribution for each forest watershed type. As a result of eliminating 'DBH', the numbers of parcels for all grades except A were changed but their numbers and areas were not large enough to consider the change of total score. For the output of analyses with the existing same regional criteria, the total scores of urban type and urban-fringe type forestlands were higher than those of other types. The numbers of parcels for A and B were increased and those for C and E were decreased by applying standard normal distribution. This caused the increase of preservation-oriented parcels. Finally, we suggested a new evaluation method based on standard normal distribution to consider regional forest characteristics and to solve regional imbalance.

In Japan, more than 80 % of soybean growing area is converted fields and excess water is one of the major problems in soybean production. For example, recent study (Yoshifuji et al., 2016) suggested that in the fields of shallow groundwater level (GWL) (< 1m depth), rising GWL even in a short period (e.g. 1 day) causes inhibition of soybean growth. Thus it becomes more and more important to predict GWL and soil moisture in detail. In addition to conventional surface drainage and underdrain, FOEAS (Farm Oriented Enhancing Aquatic System), which is expected to control GWL in fields adequately, has been developed recently. In this study we attempted to predict GWL and soil moisture condition at the converted field with FOEAS in Biwa lake reclamation area, Shiga prefecture, near the center of the main island of Japan. Two dimensional HYDRUS model (Simuinek et al., 1999) based on common Richards' equation, was used for the calculation of soil water movement. The calculation domain was considered to be 10 and 5 meter in horizontal and vertical direction, respectively, with two layers, i.e. 20cm-thick of plowed layer and underlying subsoil layer. The center of main underdrain (10 cm in diameter) was assumed to be 5 meter from the both ends of the domain and 10-60cm depth from the surface in accordance with the field experiment. The hydraulic parameters of the soil was estimated with the digital soil map in "Soil information web viewer" and Agricultural soil-profile physical properties database, Japan (SolphyJ) (Kato and Nishimura, 2016). Hourly rainfall depth and daily potential evapo-transpiration rate data were given as the upper boundary condition (B.C.). For the bottom B.C., constant upward flux, which meant the inflow flux to the field from outside, was given. Seepage face condition was employed for the surrounding of the underdrain. Initial condition was employed as GWL=60cm. Then we compared the simulated and observed results of volumetric water content at depth of 15cm and GWL. While the model described the variation of GWL well, it tended to overestimate the soil moisture through the growing period. Judging from the field condition, and observed data of soil moisture and GWL, consideration of soil structure (e.g. cracks and clods) in determination of soil hydraulic parameters at the plowed layer may improve the simulation results of soil moisture.
