I made inquires about mammographic equipments and circumstances of mammography rooms in the 64 medical facilities in areas of Seoul and Kyong Gi Do. Moreover I had experments about exposure dose with patients and radiologic technologists. so there is the data indicated follows. 1. There are inclined to improve in quality and function of mammographic equipments, it has been proven that s/f system exchanged to DR system. 2. It is certain that the number of examinations are becoming increasingly significant. 3. The Space Scattered Dose of mammography rooms are much more larger than portable equipments. 4. I worry about the affection of expose dose about Space Scattered Dose of mammography room. 5. There is need of study how to cope with the situation about increasing exposure dose of radiologic technologists in small space and numeruous number of examinations.

Background: In the herbal medicinal industry, Angelica gigas Nakai, Angelica sinensis (Oliv.) Diels. and Angelica acutiloba (Siebold & Zucc.) Kitag. are often confused, because the roots of the three species can not be distinguished by their appearance. This confusion can cause serious side effects. In this study, we determined the origins of Angelica roots distributed in the Korean market using the simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers developed based on the A. gigas chloroplast DNA sequence. Methods and Results: We collected twenty seven A. gigas and three A. acutiloba samples from the Seoul, Daegu, and Cheongju herbal medicinal markets. Fifty sections of one collection were mixed and ground to make a powder, which was used for DNA extraction using the cetyl trimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) method. Chloroplast based SSR markers were applied to the DNA for the determination of the species. In addition, polymorphism was found in eight samples. The phylogenetic analysis showed that the A. gigas roots collected from herbal medicinal markets were clearly discriminated from A. sinensis and A. acutiloba even though they were grouped into four clusters. Conclusions: This study showed that chloroplast based SSR markers would help the discrimination of Angelica roots in the Korean herbal medicinal industry and the markers are useful to prevent confusion between Angelica roots.

Germination and growth of Laminaria japonica microscopic stages were investigated under crossed gradients of temperatures and irradiances, and the results related to the seasonal temperature regime in the southeastern coast of Korea. Germination rates of $70\~86\%$ were observed in the temperature range of $5\~20^{\circ}C$, however, at $25^{\circ}C$ no germination of meiospores was observed. The primary factor affecting germination rates at the temperature range of $5\~20^{\circ}C$ was irradiance: germination was significantly reduced at $150 {\mu}E{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$. Vegetative cell production of female gametophytes was highest at $20^{\circ}C$, but plants were not fertile at the temperature. In the temperature range of $5\~15^{\circ}C$, higher irradiance caused females to reduce cell production, but increased fertility. Cell production was also low at lower temperatures with increased fertility rates. Optimal growth temperature for microsporophytes was $10^{\circ}C$ and their growth rates were light-saturated at $70 {\mu}E{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$. We have concluded that meiospores released before July could develope to the young sporophytic stage in the southeastern coast of Korea which is off the southern limit of its geographical distribution. However, limiting factor in the development of natural sporophytic population in this region would be the upper temperature limit for the survival of young sporophytes, as water temperature at this area frequently exceeds $25^{\circ}C$ during the summer period.

This study identified material properties through scientific analysis on Jikgeumdan(satin with gold threads) from Donggungbi-Wonsam and the gold threads used in the embroidery. The Donggungbi-Wonsam's base of gold threads were estimated to have used mulberry fiber's Korean paper(Hanji) because non-wood-based fibers were observed. The X-ray spectrometer showed that the Tongsuseulan of Donggungbi-Wonsam was a flat gold thread of pure gold and Jikgeumdan of flat silver thread of its Saekdong and Hansam. High sulfur levels were detected in the flat silver thread, which appeared to have formed silver sulfide by either manufacturing process using sulfur or conservation environment. he dragon insignia's embroidery is also described as two types twisted gold threads; pure gold and alloying-gold and silver. while dragon insignia's border line is decorated with a twisted gold thread of pure gold. In particular, it was investigated that adhesives such as an animal glue, a protein-based compound by gas chromatography mass spectrometry. Additionally, XRF and Raman spectroscopy analysis on the mixture substances between the metal surface and the base paper of gold threads identified talc and quartz in the gold threads and Seokganju(hematite) in the flat silver threads.

In the field of medical artificial intelligence, there have been a lot of researches on disease prediction and classification algorithms that can help doctors judge, but relatively less interested in artificial intelligence that can help medical consumers acquire and judge information. The fact that more than 150,000 questions have been asked about which hospital to go over the past year in NAVER portal will be a testament to the need to provide medical information suitable for medical consumers. Therefore, in this study, we wanted to establish a classification model that classifies 8 medical subjects for symptom text directly described by patients which was collected from NAVER portal to help consumers choose appropriate medical subjects for their symptoms. In order to ensure the validity of the data involving patients' subject matter, we conducted similarity measurements between objective symptom text (typical symptoms by medical subjects organized by the Seoul Emergency Medical Information Center) and subjective symptoms (NAVER data). Similarity measurements demonstrated that if the two texts were symptoms of the same medical subject, they had relatively higher similarity than symptomatic texts from different medical subjects. Following the above procedure, the classification model was constructed using a ridge regression model for subjective symptom text that obtained validity, resulting in an accuracy of 0.73.

This following research is a study on the use of French and de-locality in the modern Korean poet Lee Sang's poetry (1910-1937). His hometown was Kyung Sung, Seoul. He mainly wrote his works in Korean, Chinese character, and Japanese, using the language of education and his native language at that time. So then, what was the spirit that he wanted to embody through use of French words? By using words like "ESQUISSE", "AMOUREUSE", Sang's French was not a one-time use of foreign words intended to amuse, but to him the words were as meticulously woven as his intentions. French words were harmonized with other non-poetic symbols such as "${\Box}$, ${\triangle}$, ${\nabla}$", and described as a type of typographical hieroglyphics. Instead of his mother-tongue language, French was applied as a surrealistic vocabulary that implemented the moral of infinite freedom and imagination, and expressed something new or extrasensory. Subsequently, the de-localized French (words) in his poetry can be seen as poetic words to implement a "new spirit", proposed by western avant-garde artists. Analysis of French in his poetry, showed a sense of yearning for the scientific civilization, calling for his sense of defeat and escape from the colonized inferior native land. Most of all, comparing his pursuit of western civilization and avant-garde art to French used in his poetry, is regarded as world-oriented poetry intended to implement the new tendency of the "the locomotive of modernity," transcending the territory of the native country.

Focusing on the potential impact of information and communication technology (ICT) on older adults' quality of life, this study empirically examined the influence of smartphone use in old age on life satisfaction, depression, social activity and social support of Korean older adults. In order to examine the effects of smartphone use, this study analyzed data from 630 questionnaire surveys from older adults aged 65 and over living in Seoul. The effects of smartphone use were tested using hierarchical multiple regression analysis, controlling for socio-demographic variables such as age, sex, spouse, education and income. Results showed that the effects of smartphone use on life satisfaction, depression and social activity of older adults were statistically significant. However, the effects of smartphone use on social support of older adults was not statistically significant. This study suggests that ICT such as smartphones in old age plays generally positive roles in enhancing psychological, mental and social aspects of quality of life. This implies that further practical efforts to expand the distribution and use of ICT in old age are required to improve quality of life and successful aging of older adults.

Background: Gintonin is a ginseng-derived exogenous ligand of the G protein-coupled lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) receptor. We previously reported that gintonin stimulates gliotransmitter release in primary cortical astrocytes. Astrocytes play key roles in the functions of neurovascular systems. Although vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) is known to influence the normal growth and maintenance of cranial blood vessels and the nervous system, there is little information about the effect of gintonin on VEGF regulation in primary astrocytes, under normal and hypoxic conditions. Methods: Using primary cortical astrocytes of mice, the effects of gintonin on the release, expression, and distribution of VEGF were examined. We further investigated whether the gintonin-mediated VEGF release protects astrocytes from hypoxia. Results: Gintonin administration stimulated the release and expression of VEGF from astrocytes in a concentration- and time-dependent manner. The gintonin-mediated increase in the release of VEGF was inhibited by the LPA1/3 receptor antagonist, Ki16425; phospholipase C inhibitor, U73122; inositol 1,4,5- triphosphate receptor antagonist, 2-APB; and intracellular $Ca^{2+}$ chelator, BAPTA. Hypoxia further stimulated astrocytic VEGF release. Gintonin treatment stimulated additional VEGF release and restored cell viability that had decreased due to hypoxia, via the VEGF receptor pathway. Altogether, the regulation of VEGF release and expression and astrocytic protection mediated by gintonin under hypoxia are achieved via the LPA receptor-VEGF signaling pathways. Conclusion: The present study shows that the gintonin-mediated regulation of VEGF in cortical astrocytes might be neuroprotective against hypoxic insults and could explain the molecular basis of the beneficial effects of ginseng on the central nervous system.

This study examined how the rejection sensitivity model might be applied to the link between rejection sensitivity and dating relationship satisfaction by means of investigating the mediating effect of cognitive emotion regulation strategy and conflict resolution strategy. A total of 668 college students in Seoul (232 males, 436 females, mean age of 21.59 years [SD=2.08]) participated in this study. The results illustrated that the adaptive emotion regulation strategy, among cognitive emotion regulation strategies, and the integration and compromise strategies, among conflict resolution strategies, had the double mediation effect on the association between rejection sensitivity and dating relationship satisfaction. In other words, a direct negative correlation between rejection sensitivity and dating relationship satisfation resulted in high rejection sensitivity, which was expected to generate low satisfaction in dating relationships. However, it was confirmed that the use of these two strategies-the cognitive emotion regulation and the conflict resolution strategy-could bring positive effects in terms of the dating relationship satisfaction; the former helped couples to see situations more broadly and increase positive perceptions, while the latter solve their problems each other. Based on these findings, we discuss their implications for counseling practice and therapeutic interventions
