  • In these days mobile handsets have come to be used at almost every user. The performance improvement of mobile devices and networks have made this trend possible. As a great variety of mobile applications are published, the necessity of running large-scale mobile applications becomes greater than before. To accomplish this, the existing researchers have developed mobile cluster computing libraries like Mobile-JPVM. In this paper, we implement a compute-intensive Animated GIF generating application and its cell phone viewer software using Mobile-JPVM library. We find out by the real execution of our softwares on the KTF handsets that they can sufficiently run on cellular phones. Our Animated GIF generator and its viewer are going to be commercially used for the mobile fashion advertisement systems.

  • Whenever and wherever, recognizing location of object such as human as well as things, ubiquitous Location-Based Service which provides useful service based on this are rising as an important service. In this paper, we implemented customized real time 1:1 e-CRM system that can communicate with user's mobile phone through using Location-Based Service of mobile phone. Among various scenarios that are applicable to designed system, development and test were conducted based on scenario that provides shopping information and discount information to customers through SMS as they approach to vicinity of large discount store and allow them to download discount coupons through Call Back. The suggested system will be applied to various service event and can be used as a customized real time marketing method according to user's personal activity area.

  • The Multiple vital signs management system using Mobil phone is designed with Wireless sensor network and CDMA which are integrated to create a wide coverage to support various environments like inside and outside of hospital. Health signals from medical sensor node are analysed in cell phone first for real time signal analyses and then the abnormal vital signs are sent and save to hospital server for detail signal processing and doctor's diagnosis. We developed integrated vital access processor of sensor node to use selective medical interface(ECG, Blood pressure and sugar module) and control the self-organizing network of sensor nodes in a wireless sensor network. chronic disease such as heart disease and diabetes is able to check using graph view in mobile phone.

  • The world is changing fast from the information society to the knowledge society as the amount of knowledge exploded over through development of the information communication technology. In this situation, mobile learning based on the mobile devices (PDAs, Cellular phone, Tablet PC, etc) offers the opportunity to assist each individual and group to learn anytime, anywhere. The purpose of this study is to discuss development direction of game styled contents for mobile learning. we introduce the development direction and prototypes of mobile learning contents focused on game-styled activities as the alternative to make up for the weak points of the mobile devices.

  • Contents of this paper strengthen security of data by applying encryption algorithm to use cellular phone and settlement by Mobile that is used synchronization method and quotes and prevent damage of bar-code peculation etc.. If divide system step by step to execute this, step that create Mobile bar-code and transmits by individual terminal after encryption, step displaying to individual Mobile terminal, step that above individual Mobile terminal and main server form assimilation and these are consisted of step that quote confirming above information confirmation and motive availability. For the actual example, confirm effectiveness of certification system through simulation.

  • 무선 이동 네트워크 환경을 이용하여 특정교역에 산재해 있는 노상 및 노외 유·무료 주자창의 무인 요금징수장비를 실 시간으로 제어·관리하여 이용자에게 휴대용 컴퓨터 핀 셀룰러폰을 통해 정보를 제공할 수 있는 주차관리시스템을 제안한다. 본 논문에서 각 요금징수장비는 현재 상용화되어 있는 각 통신사의 PCS 또는 Cellular Phone의 COMA SMS(Code Division Multiple Access Short Message Service)를 이용하여 장비의 상태 및 제어 기법을 제안하였으며, 이 경우 추가적인 무선망 관리장비가 필요 없이 mobile phone만을 이용하기 때문에 아직 일반화되지 않은 고비용의 무선패킷통신을 대신할 수 있어 향후 S/W 교체만으로 전환 가능하여 보다 유용한 기법이 될 것으로 기대 된다.

SAR Reduction of Cellular Phone Terminals with the Ferrite Bead inside of the Helical Coil (휴대폰 헬리컬 안테나 내부의 페라이트 비드에 의한 SAR감쇠 효과)

  • We are proposing a new mobile phone antenna, which has a specially manufactured Mn-Zn cylindrical ferrite bead inside of the helical coil of the antenna. The extended antenna radiation patters and the spatial peak SAR averaged over 1 gram simulated tissue with and without the ferrite bead insertion were measured at 824 MHz. The results show that the ferrite bead resulted in SAR reduction about 20 %, and reflection coefficient increase about 7 % for the extended antenna. The applicability of this scheme to the antenna mass production is quite feasible.

  • This letter describes a dual-band compact monopole antenna with two branches for Wi-Fi applications. The proposed antenna is based on a planar monopole design, and composed of two branches of radiating patches for dual-band operation. The ground size of the antenna matches the ground size of a typical hand-held cellular phone for improved compatibility with mobile phone printed circuit boards. The antenna is designed using a simulator and fabricated with optimized parameters. The fabricated antenna is measured at the lower and higher operating frequencies, and the return loss coefficient, gain, and radiation patterns are determined.

  • The interface design of mobile products has become a hot issue recently as a variety of products are being developed for extended usages. There have been two different views on interface design of mobile products like PDAs(personal digital assistants) or cellular phone. One 치aims that the current interface design of PC cannot be directly applied because mobile products have their own specific functions and requirements. On the meantime, the other argues that an extended application of PC metaphors to mobile products can have advantages because users'PC experiences can reduce the learning efforts and thus contribute to intuitive understanding mobile products. In this research, two types of PDAs, developed according to the aforementioned conflicting philosophies were compared and evaluated, based on laboratory-based usability testing conducted by novice users. The experiment consists of asking subjects to perform identical tasks for the two different types of products. The interaction data collected during usability testing were analyzed in terms of time taken, rate of success of tasks and errors. The experiment shows that there were some meaningful effects of users'experience of PC on the usability of PDAs.

  • As a result of the growth of mobile devices such as PDA and cellular phone, a user can utilize various digital contents everywhere and anytime. However, mobile devices have the limited resources and interaction mechanisms. This paper introduces the schema for a user activity estimation and its application in order to overcome the poor user interface and limited resource problems. We are able to supplement lacking the user interface of mobile devices by using the user activity estimation proposed in this paper, and its application is a intelligent control interface for the display power on or off which can effectively utility the battery of the mobile device.
