Earlier models of card vending machines have generally motion drives with high cost and large size. However, current trend in card vending machines requires low-cost, compact-sized and readily installable motion drives. This paper shows the operational principle of the motion drive of a card vending machine and then presents the performance test results of the motion drive with improved mechanisms proposed in the paper. The results show that the proposed mechanism is valid and improves the card dispensing performance. The proposed model in the paper is accepted and introduced in the actual production line.

The metropolitan area needs to control the Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) and transportation card system in order to implement an efficient railway and subway. This paper introduces a suitable analysis to take advantage of the systematic method of the AFC and transportation card. These systems should consider the fare system, transportation pass and AFC equipment, which are organized with the Automatic Ticket Vending Machine, the Ticket Office Machine and the Card System of Radio Frequency (RF). However, the organization includes the fact the Automatic Ticket Vending Machine has a problem with the proceeding speed of passengers and inconvenience. Second, the majority of passengers have not utilized the Ticket Office Machine. Also, it should consider whether the transportation card is the proper system in the metropolitan area. Based on the analysis of national and international cases, it suggests that the AFC should make more improvements in the metropolitan area railway and subway.

Vending machines to release single-use RF(Radio Frequency) transport cards at Seoul Metro stations are operated under unmanned facility and have release & charge function. This Paper introduces function, configuration of vending machine to release single-use RF transport cards, the basic concepts & overview about vending machine's operating system. And suggests programming procedure to develop OS image of Windows Embedded operating system which is onboard the main board's electronic circuitry.

As giving IP on electric home appliance like as TV, Air-conditioner, etc., with the development of electric products and home networking, it has been possible to communicate through the Internet. In this paper, we proposed and developed the system which is possible to control the commercial vending machine using embeded internet card through internet. We implemented the basic circuit and application program for TCP/IP communication program by Java applet.

This paper proposes a method of automatic function test for parts mounted Printed Circuit Board. For this purpose, we designed a Data Acquisition Equipment, PC interface card and inspection software. The experiment was done for the coffee vending machine and its result was good.

The ATVM(Automatic Ticket Vending Machine) of Seoul Metropolitan is a Kiosk which is called Ticket Vending and Reload Device at the subway station. It is implemented for integrating transportation card system which is separated from a paper subway ticket and replacing ticket selling employees. However, since the automatic ticket vending machine was accepted in 2009, there has been confusion of purchasing a ticket. Therefore, it requires improvement of usability. This study, conducts a literature search. Also, the interface of ATVM is analyzed. Finally user observation proceeded at Sinnonhyeon Station of Seoul Metro line 9. The results show that selecting a destination and section fares is confusing process for user. Based on this survey the improvements of UI are proposed to expect advanced directions of the ATVM.
