  • We have designed embedded web sewer system and ported Linux operating system version 2.4.5 at our system. And then We implemented to control and monitor widely separated hardware and implemented to monitor widely separated image using CMOS image sensor HV7131B. Web server is the Boa web server with General Public License. We designed for this system using of Intel's SA1110 ARM core base processor and connecting input and output device at GPIO port of SA1110. Device driver of General purpose I/O for Embedded Linux OS is designed. And then the application program controlling driver is implemented to use of common gate interface C language. User is available to control and monitor at client PC. This method have benefit to reduce the Expenditure of hardware design and development time against PC base system and have various and capacious application against firmware base system.

  • 본 논문은 깊이 카메라를 이용하여 가슴의 움직임만으로 호흡률을 예측하는 시스템을 제안한다. 카메라는 실험자의 흉부 앞에 위치하였으며, 흉부를 관심 영역으로 지정하여 깊이 값의 변화를 추출하였으며 노이즈를 제거한 후 Welch 메소드와 AR 메소드를 이용하여 호흡률을 계산하였다. 계산된 호흡률을 검증하기 위하여 공기 흐름 측정 센서를 이용하여 호흡률을 계산하고 비교하였다. 실험에서 10명의 지원자를 대상으로 0.1 Hz 부터 0.4 Hz까지 측정하여 약 98%의 정확률을 얻었다.

  • Three dimensional shape measurement techniques are widely needed in industries for product quality monitoring and control. X-ray imaging method is a promising technology to achieve three-dimensional Information, both the surface and inner structure of an object, since it can overcome the limitations of conventional visual or optical methods such as an occlusion problem or surface reflection properties. In this paper, we propose three dimensional volume reconstruction method based on x-ray stereo imaging technology. Here, the stereo images of an object from two different views are taken by changing the object pose rather than moving imaging plane as in conventional stereo vision method. Rapid Quenching Dynamics of F Center Excitation by $OH^-$ Defects in KCI

  • The rapid quenching dynamics of F center excitation by OH- defects in KCl crystals are investigated by monitoring ground state absorption bleach recovery, using a picosecond streak camera absorption spectrometer. F center absorption bleach in OH--doped crystals shows three distinguishable recovery components with the current temporal resolution, designated as slow, medium and fast components. The slow one is due to the normal relaxation process of F* centers as found in OH--free crystals. The others are consequent on energy transfer from electronically excited F centers to OH--vibrational levels. The fast component is a minor energy transfer process and resulting from the relaxation of somewhat distant, not the closest, associated pairs of F* and OH- defects. The energy transfer between widely separated F* and OH- defects opens up a recovery process via the medium component which is assisted by OH- librations, lattice vibrations and OH- dipole reorientations. The quenching behaviors of F* luminescence and photoionization by OH- are explained well by the relaxation process of the medium component.

  • 허베이스피리트호 원유유출 사고는 2007년 12월7일 아침 7시6분경 서해안 만리포 북서쪽 10km 해상에서 크레인을 적재한 1만1800t급 바지선이 정박 중인 흥콩 선적 유조선 허베이 스피리트호(14만6000t급)와 부딪치면서 발생했다. 이와 같은 기름 유출 사고의 경우, 유출 범위를 정확하게 이해하는 것이 중요하다. 여기서는 위 사고 기간에 얻어진 인공위성 자료를 이용하여 기름 유출을 탐지하기 위한 연구결과를 소개한다. 광학과 마이로파영상에 대해 유출 범위의 계산 및 해석 알고리듬에 대한 현재까지의 결과를 소개한다. 광학영상으로는 아리랑 2호 (다목적 실용위성 2호, KOMPSAT II) MSC(Multi Spectral Camera)자료가 사용되었으며, 합성개구레이더로는 ENVISAT ASAR, TerraSAR-X 및 ALOS PALSAR의 자료가 사용되었다.

Real-Time Cattle Action Recognition for Estrus Detection

  • In this paper, we present a real-time cattle action recognition algorithm to detect the estrus phase of cattle from a live video stream. In order to classify cattle movement, specifically, to detect the mounting action, the most observable sign of the estrus phase, a simple yet effective feature description exploiting motion history images (MHI) is designed. By learning the proposed features using the support vector machine framework, various representative cattle actions, such as mounting, walking, tail wagging, and foot stamping, can be recognized robustly in complex scenes. Thanks to low complexity of the proposed action recognition algorithm, multiple cattle in three enclosures can be monitored simultaneously using a single fisheye camera. Through extensive experiments with real video streams, we confirmed that the proposed algorithm outperforms a conventional human action recognition algorithm by 18% in terms of recognition accuracy even with much smaller dimensional feature description.

A New Denoising Method for Time-lapse Video using Background Modeling

  • Due to the development of camera technology, the cost of producing time-lapse video has been reduced, and time-lapse videos are being applied in many fields. Time-lapse video is created using images obtained by shooting for a long time at long intervals. In this paper, we propose a method to improve the quality of time-lapse videos monitoring the changes in plants. Considering the characteristics of time-lapse video, we propose a method of separating the desired and unnecessary objects and removing unnecessary elements. The characteristic of time-lapse videos that we have noticed is that unnecessary elements appear intermittently in the captured images. In the proposed method, noises are removed by applying a codebook background modeling algorithm to use this characteristic. Experimental results show that the proposed method is simple and accurate to find and remove unnecessary elements in time-lapse videos.

  • This paper presents three-dimensional robot task using the vision control method. A minimum of two cameras is required to place points on end dffectors of n degree-of-freedom manipulators relative to other bodies. This is accomplished using a sequential estimation scheme that permits placement of these points in each of the two-dimensional image planes of monitoring cameras. Estimation model is developed based on a model that generalizes known three-axis manipulator kinematics to accommodate unknown relative camera position and orientation, etc. This model uses six uncertainty-of-view parameters estimated by the iteration method.

  • We introduce Maemi Dual Field Telescope System (MDFTS) which is newly installed at Kyung Hee Astronomical Observatory (KHAO). MDFTS consists of two telescope tubes (40cm and 10cm), whose observing fields are aligned with different field of view, 15' x 11' and 83' x 63' respectively. We present the specification of instruments (telescope, mount, camera, and filter system) and the observation environment of KHAO. We expect that MDFTS can be used for transient survey e.g. Intensive Monitoring Survey of Nearby Galaxies (IMSNG). Based on observations conducted so far, the limiting magnitude of 40cm telescope in B-band is B_lim ~ 16 mag at 5-σ detection with 150 seconds total integration time under dark and clear observing condition. Also the integrated observing software for MDFTS, KAOS40 is now under developing.

  • 고정 카메라 환경에서 움직이는 객체만을 탐지하는 것은 비디오 모니터링의 중요한 응용 분야이다. 본 논문에서는 비디오의 특성인 움직임 정보가 포함된 영상에서 GMM을 이용하여 움직인 돼지와 움직이지 않은 돼지의 위치를 대략적으로 구분하고, 추가적인 영상 처리 기법과 딥러닝 기반 객체 탐지기를 적용한 박스 단위 객체 탐지 결과를 활용하여 움직인 돼지의 외곽선을 보정한다. 돈사에서 촬영된 비디오 데이터로 실험한 결과, 제안 방법은 효과적으로 움직인 돼지를 탐지할 수 있음을 확인하였다.
