Purpose: Many companies developed a lot of programs with continuous effort for program upgrading. With this acquire superior image quality for the purpose of quick examination and progress in spatial resolution. This study was to obtained clinical usefulness on a appropriate parameter of FWHM for speed and alpha value for superior image quality. Materials and Methods: Gamma camera by Siemens (e.cam) and spatial resolution phantom and four quadrant bar phantom used. Compared for FWHM by changed scan speed 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 cm/min in scatter and non scatter in Onco Flash of spatial resolution phantom. Visual evaluation of count rate and bar phantom image for increased of alpha value of 10% in 0~100%. Results: FWHM by the scan speed was 9.37, 9.40, 9.28, 9.30, 9.31, 9.53 mm in the scatter. Count rate increased alpha value 10% increased. Visual evaluation was suitable to below 30%, Therefore spatial resolution improved on FWHM at the scan speed 25~35 cm/min applying for alpha value 30% in Onco Flash was average 9.3 mm less than FWHM of below 15 cm/min and above 40 cm/min. Conclusion: We found on appropriate parameter to progress of image quality. And there be a useful guideline for you that appropriate scan speed on vary in parameters of reduction on examination time and advancing image quality.
In Korea, quality evaluation of dried oak mushrooms are done first by classifying them into more than 10 different categories based on the state of opening of the cap, surface pattern, and colors. And mushrooms of each category are further classified into 3 or 4 groups based on its shape and size, resulting into total 30 to 40 different grades. Quality evaluation and sorting based on the external visual features are usually done manually. Since visual features of mushroom affecting quality grades are distributed over the entire surface of the mushroom, both front (cap) and back (stem and gill) surfaces should be inspected thoroughly. In fact, it is almost impossible for human to inspect every mushroom, especially when they are fed continuously via conveyor. In this paper, considering real time on-line system implementation, image processing algorithms utilizing artificial neural network have been developed for the quality grading of a mushroom. The neural network based image processing utilized the raw gray value image of fed mushrooms captured by the camera without any complex image processing such as feature enhancement and extraction to identify the feeding state and to grade the quality of a mushroom. Developed algorithms were implemented to the prototype on-line grading and sorting system. The prototype was developed to simplify the system requirement and the overall mechanism. The system was composed of automatic devices for mushroom feeding and handling, a set of computer vision system with lighting chamber, one chip microprocessor based controller, and pneumatic actuators. The proposed grading scheme was tested using the prototype. Network training for the feeding state recognition and grading was done using static images. 200 samples (20 grade levels and 10 per each grade) were used for training. 300 samples (20 grade levels and 15 per each grade) were used to validate the trained network. By changing orientation of each sample, 600 data sets were made for the test and the trained network showed around 91 % of the grading accuracy. Though image processing itself required approximately less than 0.3 second depending on a mushroom, because of the actuating device and control response, average 0.6 to 0.7 second was required for grading and sorting of a mushroom resulting into the processing capability of 5,000/hr to 6,000/hr.
As a variety of HMD(Head Mounted Display) has come out, the production of 3D images onto which VR(Virtual Reality) technologies are grafted has been contributed to activating the production of image contents depending on a tangible or immersing type. VR-based image contents have enlarged their applicability across the entertainment industry from animation and game to realistic images. At the same time, the solution development for producing VR image contents has also gained elasticity. However, among those production solutions which have been used until now, fixed stereo camera based photographing has a limit that the binocular disparity of a user is fixed. This does not only restrict a way of expression a producer intends to direct, but also may cause the effect of 3D or space not to be sensed enough as view condition is not considered enough in a user's side. This study is aimed at resolving with skills applying in the latter part of 3D image production the problem that convergence points may be adjusted with restriction, which tends to happen at the time of the production of VR image contents. The later stage of the 3D imaging work analyzes and applies to game engines the significance of adjusting convergence points through the visualization of binocular disparity so that it is available to implement a function that the points could be controlled at random by a user.
In this paper, we propose a robust pre-processing module for camera-based Optical Music Score Recognition (OMR) on mobile device. The captured images likely suffer for recognition from many distortions such as illumination, blur, low resolution, etc. Especially, the complex background music sheets recognition are difficult. Through any symbol recognition system, the staff line height and staff line space are used many times and have a big impact on recognition module. A robust and accurate staff line height and staff line space are essential. Some staff line height and staff line space are proposed for binary image. But in case of complex background music sheet image, the binarization results from common binarization algorithm are not satisfactory. It can cause incorrect staff line height and staff line space estimation. We propose a robust staff line height and staff line space estimation by using run-length encoding technique on edge image. Proposed method is composed of two steps, first step, we conducted the staff line height and staff line space estimation based on edge image using by Sobel operator on image blocks. Each column of edge image is encoded by run-length encoding algorithm Second step, we detect the staff line using by Stable Path algorithm and removal the staff line using by adaptive Line Track Height algorithm which is to track the staff lines positions. The result has shown that robust and accurate estimation is possible even in complex background cases.
Purpose : The purpose of this study was to develop a stent-based image guided surgery system and to apply it to oral and maxillofacial surgeries for anatomically complex sites. Materials and Methods : We devised a patient-specific stent for patient-to-image registration and navigation. Three-dimensional positions of the reference probe and the tool probe were tracked by an optical camera system and the relative position of the handpiece drill tip to the reference probe was monitored continuously on the monitor of a PC. Using 8 landmarks for measuring accuracy, the spatial discrepancy between CT image coordinate and physical coordinate was calculated for testing the normality. Results : The accuracy over 8 anatomical landmarks showed an overall mean of $0.56{\pm}0.16\;mm$. The developed system was applied to a surgery for a vertical alveolar bone augmentation in right mandibular posterior area and possible interior alveolar nerve injury case of an impacted third molar. The developed system provided continuous monitoring of invisible anatomical structures during operation and 3D information for operation sites. The clinical challenge showed sufficient accuracy and availability of anatomically complex operation sites. Conclusion : The developed system showed sufficient accuracy and availability in oral and maxillofacial surgeries for anatomically complex sites.

The study aims to analyze the characteristics and problems of raw image file formats, evaluate its suitability for the management of digital photographic records, and suggest the introduction method to utilize such format in public institutions. Raw image file formats feature reversibility and flexibility. However, most of them are proprietary file formats that depend on the digital camera manufacturer. The DNG format, which was developed to standardize raw image file formats, has received positive reviews from overseas public agencies. However, the DNG format is not fully recognized as a standard; hence, it is appropriate to use it tentatively until the standard raw format appears. On the other hand, the converted digital photo file format is not recognized as an original with legal authenticity. Therefore, in the short term, DNG files created by format conversion and original raw files should be encapsulated and preserved. Furthermore, it is necessary to redefine the baseline of the hash value and file size to recognize the legal authenticity only with DNG files in the long term.

Recently, research on smart factories triggered by the 4th industrial revolution is being actively conducted. Accordingly, the manufacturing industry is conducting various studies to improve productivity and quality based on deep learning technology with robust performance. This paper is a study on the method of detecting tire surface defects in the visual inspection stage of the tire manufacturing process, and introduces a tire surface defect detection method using a depth image acquired through a 3D camera. The tire surface depth image dealt with in this study has the problem of low contrast caused by the shallow depth of the tire surface and the difference in the reference depth value due to the data acquisition environment. And due to the nature of the manufacturing industry, algorithms with performance that can be processed in real time along with detection performance is required. Therefore, in this paper, we studied a method to normalize the depth image through relatively simple methods so that the tire surface defect detection algorithm does not consist of a complex algorithm pipeline. and conducted a comparative experiment between the general normalization method and the normalization method suggested in this paper using YOLO V3, which could satisfy both detection performance and speed. As a result of the experiment, it is confirmed that the normalization method proposed in this paper improved performance by about 7% based on mAP 0.5, and the method proposed in this paper is effective.

As 5G is getting developed, people are getting interested in immersive content. Some predicts that immersive content may be implemented in real life such as holograms, which were only possible in movies. Holograms, which has been studied for a long time since Dennis Gabor published the basic theory in 1948, are constantly developing in a new direction with digital technology. It is developing from a traditional optical hologram, which is produced by recording the interference pattern of light to a computer generated hologram (CGH) and a digital hologram printer. In order to produce a hologram using a digital hologram printer, holographic element (Hogel) image must first be created using multi-view images. There are a method of directly photographing an actual image and a method of modeling an object using 3D graphic production tool and rendering the motion of a virtual camera to acquire a series of multi-view images. In this paper, we propose a new method of getting image, which is one of the visual effect, VFX, producing multi-view images using chroma key composition. We shoot on the green screen of actual object, suggest the overall workflow of composition with 3D computer graphic(CG) and explain the role of each step. We expected that it will be helpful in researching a new method of image acquisition in the future if all or part of the proposed workflow to be applied.
The technological development and popularization of mobile devices have developed so that users can check their location anywhere and use the Internet. However, in the case of indoors, the Internet can be used smoothly, but the global positioning system (GPS) function is difficult to use. There is an increasing need to provide real-time location information in shaded areas where GPS is not received, such as department stores, museums, conference halls, schools, and tunnels, which are indoor public places. Accordingly, research on the recent indoor positioning technology based on light detection and ranging (LiDAR) equipment is increasing to build a landmark database. Focusing on the accessibility of building a landmark database, this study attempted to develop a technique for estimating the user's location by using a single image taken of a landmark based on a mobile device and the landmark database information constructed in advance. First, a landmark database was constructed. In order to estimate the user's location only with the mobile image photographing the landmark, it is essential to detect the landmark from the mobile image, and to acquire the ground coordinates of the points with fixed characteristics from the detected landmark. In the second step, by applying the bag of words (BoW) image search technology, the landmark photographed by the mobile image among the landmark database was searched up to a similar 4th place. In the third step, one of the four candidate landmarks searched through the scale invariant feature transform (SIFT) feature point extraction technique and Homography random sample consensus(RANSAC) was selected, and at this time, filtering was performed once more based on the number of matching points through threshold setting. In the fourth step, the landmark image was projected onto the mobile image through the Homography matrix between the corresponding landmark and the mobile image to detect the area of the landmark and the corner. Finally, the user's location was estimated through the location estimation technique. As a result of analyzing the performance of the technology, the landmark search performance was measured to be about 86%. As a result of comparing the location estimation result with the user's actual ground coordinate, it was confirmed that it had a horizontal location accuracy of about 0.56 m, and it was confirmed that the user's location could be estimated with a mobile image by constructing a landmark database without separate expensive equipment.

Structure-typed cultural heritage, objects of preservation are positioned as one of the very important heritage in the nation, and the preservation of prototypical structures become influential in national development and against natural disaster. For this reason, Digital Close Range Photogrammetry has recently been diversely used. Despite its popular use, the measurement has limits that make it unsuitable for photographing precise cultural heritage situated at high mountainous terrain or where people can not approach easily. These high gigantic stone statues are among the preserved structure-typed cultural heritage. In order to supplement the limits, when using the measurement, a camera tripod with +30m, a ladder truck and a shore should be equipped, which means additional equipment leads to it being a waste of cost and time. In this vein, a device was developed in detail, using a RC Helicopter installed with a CCD video camera with ease of control, safety, equipment, carrying, movement and approach, then checked image shot by a wireless modem at real time and considered the economical efficiency without re-photographing. Next, the author digitized the images of the nationally designated structure-typed cultural heritage, used materials on their restoration as the third dimension in order to construct the integrated management-information system for cultural heritage. Through the above processes, this study can provide specific information on 3D images and 3D CAD sections of structured-typed cultural heritage for both the public and specialists on the web. Moreover, it suggests the foundation to restore the damaged cultural heritage in the future by aiming for their effective management and preservation.
