  • In this paper, we propose a calculation method for fuzzy control based on quantized $\alpha$ -cut decomposition of fuzzy sets. This method is easy to be implemented in analog hardware. The effect of quantization levels on defuzzified fuzzy inference result is investigated. A few quantization levels are sufficient for fuzzy control. The hardware implementation of this calculation method and the defuzzificaion by gravity center method by PWM are also presented.

  • This paper proposes a new method for delay time calculation in RLC interconnects. This method is simple, but precise. The proposed method can calculate delay time of RLC interconnects by simple numerical formula calculation without complex moment calculation using reduced model in RLC interconnects. The results using the proposed method for RLC circuits show that average relative error is within $10\%$ in comparison with HSPICE simulation results.

  • The magnetic force calculation methods, the Maxwell's stress tensor method, virtual work method, and nodal force method, are reviewed and the equivalence of them are theoretically proved. The methods are applied to the magnetic force calculation of 2D linear and nonlinear problems, and 3D nonlinear problem. As the results, the convergence of the methods as the number of elements increases, accuracy of the methods, and integral path dependence of the methods are discussed. Finally some recommendations on the usage of the methods, including the determination of the integral path, are given.

  • At th first time in 1985, Tetris appeared, it became game that are loved to many users until now. Existent Tetris employed way to give score according to number of that is destroyed whenever line are destroyed, and give advantage about serial attack and so on, But, these score calculation method gave so fixed and simple pattern. In this paper, We design and implement the new tetris game System by score calculation method per level that Is different with existent method. That Is, this method is to compare present and before with number of destroyed line and give advantage in basis score, Also, It is going to permit strategic utilization of still more developed tetris than existent tetris using score calculation method per level.

  • Purpose: In this paper, we propose the output model of the optimal inventory requirements of the Maintenance Float (M/F). Weapon systems were modernized and increased costs. Thus, the complexity increases with. Alternatives to achieve the goal of availability of weapon systems and to reduce life-cycle cost are required. Especially, securing spare parts is more effective than adding the amount of equipment or maintenance facilities to achieve the goal of availability and reduce life cycle costs. However, securing spare parts and repair costs are directly related, so exact requirements are needed. Methods: Three kinds of methods (Calculation method of applying the Poisson distribution, Calculation method of considering the number of CSP, and Calculation method of applying M&S program) that this paper proposed compare the influence of the availability and the amount of spare parts. Result: We calculate the cost of M/F when the operational availability is over than 80% and compare that result. The biggest cost was calculated from the Poisson distribution method. We found that requirements and unit price is the key factor that gives a significant effect. Conclusion: These three kinds of methods can be used as a basis for Maintenance Float calculation. Among them, the calculation method based on CSP is optimal replacement equipment requirements calculation method.

  • Ture diplacement of a fault monement is calculated from the displacement of the index plane such as bedding on an outcrop surface. The input parameters are the orientations of the index, fault, and outcrop planes. It is also necessary to input the orientation of fault striation and the offset distance of the index plane on the outcrop surface. The distances of the total, strike, horizontal and dip slip components of the fault movement are calculated from the input parameters. Hwang(1998) conducted a simlar calculation using trigonoment method. To apply the previous method, the offset distance of the index plane must be measured on a vertical outcrop surface. The calculation method of this study accepts the offset distence of index plane on an outcrop plane of any orientation. Calculation results from both method are indentical, regardless of the simplicity of the new method.

  • This paper presents the torque calculation method of a permanent magnet spherical motor. To calculate the torque of the spherical motor by using finite element method (FEM), 3-dimensional FEM must be used. However since it spends too much time and memory in using 3-D FEM, the easier torque calculation method was presented. In this method, it is very important to get the approximation function of the torque profile curve; the authors present the approximation method of the torque profile curve. This paper shows the torque calculation result coming closer to the torque by 3-D FEM.

  • This paper deals with the electric fileds calculation by combination of finite element method and charge simulation method. Since this method has the advantage of both F.E.M and C.S.M.the application of this method is more useful for the caleulation of non-enclosed fields, multi-dielectric fields, space charge fields and so on. On the basis of this method, computer programs for the calculation of two-demensional and axisymmetric fields were developed. This paper shows that the calculation results are accurately abtained through several examples.

  • This paper presents and efficient improvement of the iterative eigenvalue calculation method and the selection of initial values in AESOPS algorithm. To determine the initial eigenvalues of the system, system state matrix is constructed with the two-axis generator model. From the submatrices including synchronous and damping coefficients, the initial eigenvalues are calculated by the QR method. Participation factors are also calculated from the above submatrices in order to determine the generators which have a important effect to the specific oscillation mode. Also, the heuristically approximated eigenvalue calculation method in the AESOPS algorithm is transformed to the Newton Raphson Method which is largely used in the nonlinear numerical analysis. The new methods are developed from the AESOPS algorithm and thus only a few calculation steps are added to practice the proposed algorithm.

  • A calculation method of the dipole moments for square planar and tetrahedral complexes by the valence bond method has been developed and an example calculation was carried out choosing the square planar and tetrahedral $[M(Ⅱ)N_2Se_2]$ type complexes. The calculated values of the dipole moments by the valence bond method are higher than those of the approximate orbital method. We found that we may predict the geometric structure of the transition metal complexes comparing the calculated values of the dipole moments with the experimental values. A new method for definition of C' parameter has also developed on the basis of extended Huckel theory.
