  • 해안구조물의 기능 유지를 위해서 침하량을 예측하는 것은 매우 중요하다. 이를 위한 방법으로는 유한요소해석법이나 실물 및 모형실험 등을 들 수 있지만, 이는 비용과 시간이 많이 소요된다는 단점을 가지고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 케이슨식 안벽구조물의 침하량을 간편하게 예측할 수 있는 간편식 제안을 목적으로 연구가 진행되었다. 연구 진행 과정은 속도의 PSI(Power Spectrum Intensity)를 산정 후, 기존 중력식 방파제의 간편식에 대입하여 구조물의 침하량을 구한다. 이를 수치해석을 통해 얻은 구조물의 침하량과 비교 분석하여 기존 간편식 침하량과 수치해석 침하량 간의 오차가 다소 큰 것을 확인하였고, 이는 기존 간편식의 경우 배후지반에 대해 고려할 수 없었기 때문임을 확인하였다. 따라서 본 연구는 안벽구조물의 배후지반에 대한 보정계수를 제안함으로써 케이슨식 안벽구조물의 침하량을 구할 수 있는 간편식을 나타내었다. 수치해석 침하량과 비교하였을 때, 이 간편식은 케이슨식 안벽 침하량을 산정하는데에 충분한 정밀도를 가지고 있다고 판단하였다. 또한 시간과 비용이 부족한 상황에서 내진성에 취약한 시설을 간편하게 추출할 수 있으며, 스크리닝 기법으로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

회전날개 길이를 이용한 제로터 펌프/모터의 배제용적에 관한 연구 (An Analysis on Volumetric Displacement of Gerotor Pump/Motor Using Vane Length)

  • It is hard and complicated to analytically derive the volumetric-displacement formula of a gerotor pump/motor. Analytical formulas for calculating the volumetric-displacement are derived in this work, which is relatively easy and based upon vane lengths. The vane lengths mean the distances from axis of inner rotor or outer rotor to contact points between inner and outer rotors. Two kinds of formula were studied for two different kinematic motions of rotors. The first one is the case that outer rotor is fixed in space and inner rotor is in mixed motion of planetary revolution and rotation with respect to the spinning axis. And the second is the case that both inner and outer rotors simultaneously rotate. The proposed formula is verified through comparison with volumetric-displacement obtained from numerical CAD calculation.

Beaming Effect를 고려한 Tube 연결부의 Conductance 계산 (Effect of Gas Beaming in the Calculation of Tube Conductance)

  • Conductance calculation is essential in designing a vacuum system. Since mathematical solution is nearly impossible except for a few simple cases, it has been so usual to calculate the conductance for a series connection of components using an approximate formula by Oatley. However, Oatley's formula has a fundamental flaw of totally neglecting the effect of gas beaming. In this study, a new technique is suggested for calculating the conductance with the same accuracy as the Monte Carlo method but with much less computing time, and applied to a system of tube connections in series. The effects of gas beaming in the calculation of conductance is analyzed quantitatively by comparing the conductance calculated by this method with those from Oatley's formula.

Comparison of Some Process Components of Polyester Microfibre Dyeing by Using Mathematical and Experimental Methods

  • In this paper, a comparison between a mathematical and an experimental method for the evaluation. of some process components of polyester microfibre dyeing is presented. In the experimental part, a dyeing procedure was chosen, K/S values of the dyed samples were measured and the coefficients of the mathematical formula presented in the mathematical part were obtained. K/S values of different dyeing procedures were also measured. In the mathematical part, predicted K/S values were calculated by a novel formula. The results of the two methods were then compared. According to the results obtained, the mathematical formula presented in this study can be used for calculating the predicted K/S values at lower dye concentrations.

연약지반에 있어 N치에 의한 기초공법 대책연구 (On the Counter Plan of Foundation Method being based on N-Value in the Soft-Ground)

  • This study is related to save the bearing capacity from using Meyerhof formula namely, static mechanics formula with the S.P.T(N value) of the soft ground and is to choose the soft ground improvement method by the using of total load for the proper method of the pile foundation and then to design the most suitable pile foundation to fit the actual circumstance. The purpose of this study is calculating the diameter of the pile foundation by static mechanics formula and introducing the optimum design condition from the result of the bearing capacity for using N value of the S.P.T obtained from the deep soft ground about the piles such as P.H.C pile, pipe and cast-in-place pile of big diameter, etc. As above-mentioned, it is considered that the use of P.H.C pile or pipe pile is advisable on the synthetical investigation and that the selection of cast-in-place pile method is desirable in terms of the constructive safety and durability.

웨이브 와셔 스프링의 강성치에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Stiffness of Wave Washer Spring)

  • The wave washer springs are widely used in non-return valves of fluid, especially in air check valves to confirm the rapid shut-off of valve propers. The stiffness of wave washer springs used in suction and exhaust valves of reciprocating air compressor play an important role on efficiency of the compressor. If the stiffness of the spring is too high, the pressure differences necessary to open the valves become high and the volumetric efficiency of cylinder decreasse. If the stiffness of the spring too low, the valve can not be closed rapidly and the inverse flow of air can take place. So, the optimum stiffness of valve spring is very important and it will be very helpful that the stiffness of wave washer springs to be used in suction and exhaust valves can be calculated in design stage of air compressor. In this paper the formula for calculating the spring constant of wave washer spring is introduced using bending and torsion theory of frames. The experiments are also carried out to measure the spring constants of several samples. It is proven that the calculated spring constants of wave washer springs are coincided well with measured values and that the formula presented in this paper for calculating the spring constants of wave washer spring is very useful for design of valves used in reciprocating air compressor.

횡요상태 관측에 의한 선체 횡관성모멘트 값의 도출을 위한 일반식 (A General Formula for Calculating the Value of Transverse Moment of Inertia by Observing the Roll Motion of Ships)

  • 선체의 횡관성모멘트는 선박의 횡운동 특성을 다루는 경우 제외될 수 없는 요소로서 그 크기의 적정성은 선체 동특성 해석의 결과와 신뢰성에 큰 영향을 미친다. 그러나 선박은 질량분포와 형상이 복잡하므로 이를 직접적인 계산을 통해 값을 구하기에는 과정이 매우 복잡하고 대상 선박의 구체적인 관련 자료를 얻기도 어렵다는 점에서 실용적으로는 선체 질량의 등가적 관성반경을 선체폭의 일정비율로 계산하는 간접적인 방법이 통용되고 있다. 한편, 어느 선체의 자유 횡운동이 나타내는 횡요 주기와 감쇠형태는 관성모멘트에 의해 영향을 받기 마련이고 따라서 이러한 응답의 결과적인 모양으로부터 역으로 해당 선박의 관성모멘트를 구하는 일반식의 도출이 가능할 것으로 유추될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 관찰에 의한 선체의 횡요 주기는 경사각의 진폭 감쇠비에 의해서도 달라지는 관계를 해석하여 횡요 주기와 경사각 진폭 감쇠비 모두를 함수 인자로 포함하는 일반식에 의해 횡관성모멘트 크기가 구해질 수 있음을 나타내었다. 또한 이러한 일반식에 횡요 관찰 선박의 주요 제원을 적용하였을 때 나타나는 특성 그래프들을 분석한 결과 횡요주기뿐 아니라 진폭감쇠비가 함께 검토될 때 얻어지는 관성모멘트 값이 보다 정확해진다는 것을 확인하였다.

6 MV X-선 빔을 사용하는 치료실에 설치되는 직접 차폐식 도어의 차폐 두께 계산식 (Calculation Formula for Shielding Thickness of Direct Shielded Door installed in Treatment Room using a 6 MV X-ray Beam)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 NCRP 보고서 151과 IAEA 안전 보고서 시리즈 47 기반으로 직접차폐식 도어의 납 두께 계산식을 유도하는 데 있다. 직접차폐식 도어에서 선량률 계산식을 유도한 후, 이 식을 납 차폐 두께 계산식에 대입하여 도어에서 차폐 두께 계산식을 유도하였다. 유도된 직접차폐식 도어의 차폐 두께 계산식으로부터 계산된 납 차폐 두께는 NCRP 및 IAEA 2차 방벽 차폐 두께 계산 방법으로 산출된 두께보다 약 6% 낮았다. 이 결과는 NCRP 및 IAEA 2차 방벽 차폐 두께 계산 방법으로부터 두께 계산이 더 보수적이고 2차 빔 차폐에 잘 맞는다는 의미로 해석된다. 결론적으로, 이 연구에서 유도된 직접차폐식 도어의 납 차폐 두께 계산식은 도어의 차폐 설계에 유용하게 사용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

Comparison of LDL-Cholesterol direct measurement with the estimate using various formula

  • Low-Density Lipoprotein cholesterol (LDLC) is the most important marker for the treatment of hyperlipidemia in NCEP-ATP III(National Cholesterol Education Program-Adult Treatment Panel III) guideline. Therefore, LDL cholesterol is pathologically meaningful, accurate measurement should be a top priority. Currently, LDLC is directly measured in most cases, but, the estimate is still used in mass health examination or screening test. This study is about the comparison of LDL-Cholesterol direct measurement with the estimate using various formula (Friedewald: [LDL-F=TC-HDL-TG/5], Nakajima: [LDL-N=TC-HDL-TG/4], Hattori: [LDL-H =0.94TC-0.94HDL-0.19TG], Puavilai: [LDL-P=TC-HDL-TG/6], Carvalho: [LDL-C=3(TC-HDL)/4]) for calculating more accurate value. We analyzed total cholesterol (TC), try-glyceride (TG), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDLC), and LDLC levels of 210 subjects between June and November in 2011. Until now, the Friedewald formula is the most commonly used estimate for the LDLC. When Friedewald formula was applied, the correlation coefficient (r) was 0.940, showing high correlation. But, the result of the direct method was significantly different, compared with those of the Friedewald formula in triglyceride levels ${\geq}400mg/dL$(p<0.05). There was the highest correlation when we used LDL-P formula(r=0.947) in triglyceride levels <400 mg/dl. Also there was the lowest mean difference regardless of triglyceride level. Therefore, the study showed that TG/6 is more precise means of calculation than TG/5. On the other hand, the calculation of LDL-Cholesterol was underestimated, compared with direct measurement. It is necessary to have more data and modified Friedewald formula should be used for the accurate calculation.

"방제학"에 기재된 방제 효능과 본초 구성을 기반으로 도출된 효능의 비교 연구 (The Comparative Study between the Effect of Herbal Formula in Schoolbook and the Effect deduced from Compositional Herbal Effects)

  • Objective The analysis method based on the herbal formula's effects is a general tool, in traditional medicine. In effective applications of herbal formula, Korean herbal medicines traditionally used the classification methods based on the curative effects through the various compositions of herbal formulas. However' the effects of herbal formulas were not filed systemically in ancient literatures, and the standards to confirm their effects are not clear. Thus, it is not easy to classify herbal formulas according to the curative effects. Furthermore, there are no standards to estimate the effects of prescriptions frequently directed in clinic. In this study, we aimed to provide the methodology of classifying the curative effects of herbal formulas by calculating the combination of the effect of each compositional herb through the DB systems. Results : By comparing effects of herbal formula with those of compositional herbs, we found that about 25-50% of the herbal effects were included in herbal formula's effects. These results showed that the prospective estimation of herbal formula's effects may be possible through the DB systems filing herbal effects. To enhance the accuracy in explaining the herbal formula's effect, more studies are needed by giving prominence to major effects and by subtracting minor effects.
