The Internet is changing or even eliminating old organizational schemes, including education. A growing number of universities and graduate schools are creating curriculums to reflect these changes. Business schools have prepared their students for a corporate world to offer some E-commerce courses. While E-commerce courses are proliferating in computer and information science schools, they are also spreading to other university departments including law and advertising. The objective of this paper is to suggest a prototype E-commerce curriculum for E-commerce departments. First, we survey and compare the E-commerce curriculum offered in many universities. Second, we provide the new E-commerce curriculum model for Korean universities. E-courses are classified as three knowledge areas of E-commerce courses such as business, technology, and core. We prioritize E-courses selected and rank their importance through an exploratory study for suggesting the undergraduate or graduate curriculum.
The increasing demand for the distance learning has created a need to explore the implications of the emerging paradigm shift in the learning environment. For the use of information technology to improve learning processes, the pedagogical assumptions underlying the design of information technology for educational purposes must be understood. However, little theoretical development or empirical research has examined learning effectiveness in web-based distance learning. Thus, this paper reviews from research in management communications, education, social psychology, and information systems literatures to develop an conceptual model of influences on web-based corporate education outcomes. The hypotheses empirically examined using survey data from 152 students of 'L' company. The data support the validity and reliability of our constructs. And the hypotheses of this study get partially significant support. Finally, the implications of this survey results are discussed in terms of learning performance.
This study is to examine personal color - preferred color, well-matched color and the relations between preferred color and the well-matched color. Focus is also placed on how sexual difference influences color temperature preference. For data collection, a questionnaire including color stimulus was employed. The subjects of this study were the male and female college students who lived in Pusan. The results of the research are summarized as the following : In view of preferred color, male subjects preferred KEY2 color(warm) in red, pink, and yellow, and preferred KEY1(cool) in green and blue. While most subjects showed the same signal, in green, male preferred KEY1 color and female preferred KEY2 color. Concerning preferred personal color type, KEY1 type person liked KEY1 color except red, and KEY2 type person liked KEY2 color except blue. This shows that people prefer the focused color presenting its own traits. In view of well-matched color, most subjects liked KEY2 color in red, yellow, pink, and they selected KEY1 color in blue as the well-matched color. However, in green, each sex showed different preferences; while male subjects selected KEY1 color as the well-matched color, female ones selected KEY2 color. In each personal color type, KEY1 type male evaluated KEY1 color as the well-matched color, KEY2 type male evaluated KEY2 color except blue. KEY1 type female chose all the KEY1 color as well-matched colors, and KEY2 type female chose KEY2 color. The well-matched colors are similar between male and female subjects. In over 80 percentage of the answers, the preferred colors coincided with well-matched colors. KEY1 type persons chose KEY1 color, and KEY2 type person chose KEY2 color as the well-matched color. These results show that there is a meaningful relationship between the preferred color and well-matched color.
The purpose of this study is to examine the influences of social responsibility and culture marketing on corporate image and brand equity in the casual wear market. In addition, whether corporate image and brand equity have impact on purchase intention is investigated among high school students in a local area. Two casual brands, Polham and Tate are selected for this study. The data are collected from male and female adolescents living in a local area with convenience sampling method. A total of 402 useful data are analyzed by SPSS 14.0 program. The results of this study are as follows. First, there are significant relationships among corporate social responsibility, culture marketing, corporate image, and brand equity of two brands. Second, environmental cultural support, social contribution, and economical responsibility of CSR present positive influences on corporate image and brand equity in common between two brands. Especially environmental cultural support of fashion business is highly important to improve corporate image and brand equity. Third, cultural direction and cultural business marketing are more influential than cultural sales promotion or cultural support marketing to improve corporate image and brand equity. Fourth, corporate image does not have a direct influence on the purchase intention, but brand equity factors show significant influences on the purchase intention. In conclusion, fashion companies should commit to perform corporate social responsibility and culture marketing that are suitable to target market for the long term, since these efforts would improve corporate image and build brand equity.
The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of expected values for appearance management on interest in make-up and cosmetics evaluation criteria. Questionnaires are being administered to 244 college students from the Deagu Metropolitan City and Kyungbook province. The frequency, factor analysis, reliability analysis, regression analysis, and t-test are used for data analysis. Expected values of appearance management are categorized into pleasure/satisfaction, other-expectancy, power value and conformity. Interest in make-up factors are found to be leadership in make-up, others-oriented, and appearance satisfactions. Cosmetics evaluation criteria are categorized into 4 factors such as skin suitability, pursuit of utility, non-essential attributes and symbolism. Pleasure/satisfaction, and conformity are the sub-variables of expected values for appearance management and have significant effects on leadership in make-up and others-oriented sub-variables for interest in make-up. Pleasure/satisfaction, and conformity, being the sub-variables of expected values for appearance management, have significant effects on skin suitability, the sub-variables of cosmetics evaluation criteria. And conformity has significant effects on symbolism, the sub-variables of cosmetics evaluation criteria. This indicates that women show high conformity for expected values of appearance management, leadership in make-up and others-oriented sub-variables for interest in make-up, and skin suitability of cosmetics evaluation criteria.
Everyone has the desire to be well shaped. Modern people in the $21^{st}$ century utilize their external appearance as a tool to express their personalities and social activities for the improvement of cultural life and the acceleration of information transfer. The expression of beauty is a method of communication from the view point of creation in addition to the exchange of meaning & value, and it has become a method of image transfer due to the increased desire for a better appearance. The beauty industry was established in 1948 by the execution of the 1st hairdresser's license test, and has been developed in full scale through the enactment of the public health control act. Therefore, beauty education is currently qualitatively and quantitatively developed, and the educational role of the beauty institute has expanded to include training beauty professionals. Private beauty institutes provide students with beauty related education in preparation for the national technical qualification examinations or private beauty association tests. These beauty education opportunities enable aspiring beauticians to attend various beauty competition events and acquire a sense of accomplishment. The purpose of this study was to determine how the quality of the beauty educational institutes affects the re-registration rate, and to analyze the effect of the beauty educational institutes quality on the intention of re-registrations using a survey. The study results show that variables such as 'lecture satisfaction', 'internal environment satisfaction', 'facility satisfaction', and 'tuition satisfaction' are significantly related to the rate of re-registrations, with 'lectures satisfaction' especially having the largest influence on re-registration.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relations and differences in Korean national image, Korean wave (Hanryu) interest, and Korean beauty service satisfaction of Korean, Chinese, and Vietnamese living in Korea and to lay the foundations for the export of various contents, especially beauty services, through the enhancement of Korea's national image. The present study was conducted from $10^{th}$ June to $10^{th}$ August 2017, by presenting 523 questionnaires to Koreans living in Seoul and another metropolitan area, and to Chinese and Vietnamese students studying in different Korean language Institutes in Seoul and other areas' universities. The basic questionnaire items were analyzed based on frequency analysis. The data on the national image, Korean wave interest, and Korean beauty service satisfaction were reduced by the factor analysis. The effects of each items were analyzed by regression. The differences in three factors were analyzed by ANOVA, and the differences were calculated by mean values. Consequently, it was observed that three factors are mutually affected each other. Therefore, it is necessary to establish a synergetic relationship between the individual factors. In addition, the individual items exhibited higher mean value in Vietnam, China, and Korea in a descending order. This indicates that Koreans are more likely to de-evaluate their cultures than others. Therefore, Koreans should be aware of the excellence of their culture and try to spread Korean culture and technology to the rest of the world with pride.
Purpose - The purpose of this study examines when the optimism impact on financial asset price forecasting and the boundary condition of optimism in the financial asset price forecasting. People generally tend to optimistically forecast their future. Optimism is a nature of human beings and optimistic forecasting observed in daily life. But is it always observed in financial asset price forecasting? In this study, two factors were focused on considering whether the optimism that people have applied to predicting future performance of financial investment products (e.g., mutual fund). First, this study examined whether the degree of optimism varied depending on the direction of the prior price trend. Second, this study examined whether the degree of optimism varied according to the forecast period by dividing the future forecasted by people into three time horizon based on forecast period. Research design, data, and methodology - 2 (prior price trend: rising-up trend vs falling-down trend) × 3 (forecast time horizon: short term vs medium term vs long term) experimental design was used. Prior price trend was used between subject and forecast time horizon was used within subject design. 169 undergraduate students participated in the experiment. χ2 analysis was used. In this study, prior price trend divided into two types: rising-up trend versus falling-down trend. Forecast time horizon divided into three types: short term (after one month), medium term (after one year), and long term (after five years). Results - Optimistic price forecasting and boundary condition was found. Participants who were exposed to falling-down trend did not make optimistic predictions in the short term, but over time they tended to be more optimistic about the future in the medium term and long term. However, participants who were exposed to rising-up trend were over-optimistic in the short term, but over time, less optimistic in the medium and long term. Optimistic price forecasting was found when participants forecasted in the long term. Exposure to prior price trends (rising-up trend vs falling-down trend) was a boundary condition of optimistic price forecasting. Conclusions - The results indicated that individuals were more likely to be impacted by prior price tends in the short term time horizon, while being optimistic in the long term time horizon.
Purpose: Current study aimed at exploring the effects of ambient anger versus sadness on motive type and coping strategy type when consumers make decision. It focused on whether the negative affects of the anger and the sadness differentially induce approach versus avoidance motive at the place of making decision, and also explored the coping strategy differences between the consumers under the anger and those under the sadness, that is, which strategy is more used between problem-focused strategy and affect-focused strategy when they are under each negative affect. Research design, data and methodology: The experimental groups were divided into two types of group such as the anger-felt group and the sadness-felt group. The experiment was performed with the between-subjects design based on the anger and the sadness. Questionnaire data were collected from undergraduate students assigned to each of the anger group and the sadness group operated by the scenario method, and the data were used to verify research hypotheses by t-test. Results: - First, the anger induced the approach motive more rather than the avoidance motive in making decision. Second, to cope the negative affects, consumers under the anger used problem-focused strategy more than affect-focused strategy, while those under the sadness used affect-focused strategy more than problem-focused strategy. Therefore, this article contributes to the theory related to motive and making decision taken place to consumers under ambient negative emotions. Conclusions: Focusing on the results of this study, there could be managerial implications to brand or product marketing managers. Checking which affect consumers previously felt between anger and sadness when they are under negative affects is at issue to the brand or product marketers when they appeal their brand or product to the consumers. The marketers should build and communicate the messages about their product or brand in the respect of the points of showing problem solution or the best way to handle things to appeal the consumers under the anger. And they should develop and communicate the messages about their product or brand emphasizing the aspects of letting consumers' sad feelings out somehow or controlling their emotions to the consumers under sadness.

This study provides a framework for understanding the effects of brand image(symbolic and functional) on emotional commitment and behavioral commitment. First, the causal relationships between brand image, emotional commitment and behavioral commitment were examined. Second, the mediating effects of brand trust were also examined. Undergraduate students(N=217) were participated in the survey and the structural equation modeling was utilized for data analysis. The results of this study reveal that both of symbolic and functional brand image are positively related to brand trust. Brand trust also have positive effects on emotional commitment and behavioral commitment. Based on the results, some recommendations for company are discussed and future research directions are outlined.
