도정수율 비교를 통한 연속식 현미조질기의 성능 평가 (Performance Evaluation of a Continuous Type Brown Rice Conditioner with a Milled Rice Recovery Comparison)

  • The water conditioning experiments of brown rice were performed to analyze the variation of the milled rice recovery using a continuous type conditioner at Jin-ju, Yeo-ju, and Yong-in RPC(Rice Processing Complex). About 8,000 kgf, 6,000 kgf and 10,000 kgf of the brown rice of 13-14 %(wb) initial moisture contents were used as experimental materials at Jin-ju, Yeo-ju, and Yong-in respectively. The broken rice and rice bran were collected and weighted to calculate the milled rice recovery. The amounts of broken rice with water conditioned occurred lower than that of broken rice without water conditioned. And the milled rice recovery of water conditioned ones were increased as 1.22%, 0.87%, and 1.00% compared with those of the non water conditioned ones at Jin-ju, Yeo-ju. and Yong-in respectively. Especially, the result of the experiments of Jin-ju RPC showed that about 33% and 35% of total increased milled rice recovery were the portion of the moisture content increment and the broken rice reduction respectively.

  • The structural characteristics of small scale rice polisher was analyzed to improve its performance. Spraying characteristic of nozzles used for rice polishing was also analyzed by a machine vision system. The internal pressure of the polishing chamber was measured according to outlet resistance, water spraying , and roller shaft speed. In addition , the performance of the rice polisher was evaluated to improve it in the basis of internal pressure in polishing chamber, whiteness , and broken rice ratio of clean rice according to the operating conditions. Actual nozzle discharge rate and drop size were 125cc/min and 86.97㎛, respectively. In the case of water spraying on rices, the internal pressure showed 4.9-9.8N/㎠ increase, broken rice ration decreased , and there was no difference in whiteness . The internal pressure increased up to two time with the increase of the outlet resistance. Also, the pressure at the upper part of screen was one and half times as high as the pressure at the lower part. In the case of water spraying rate of 150 cc/min, the roller shaft speed of 850 rpm resulted in no difference in whiteness and decrease of 0.3%in broken rice ratio, comparing to the roller shaft speed of 950 rpm.

30° 경사 리브가 있는 확대 채널 통로 내의 열전달 증가 (Heat Transfer Enhancement in a Divergent Passage with 30° Inclined Ribs)

  • The effect of different rib geometries such as V-shaped continuous (case A), parallel broken (case B), and V-shaped broken (case C) ribs on local heat transfer distributions and pressure drops in a divergent channel with $30^{\circ}$ inclined ribs on one wall or two walls was investigated for Reynolds numbers from 22,000 to 75,000. Top and bottom walls were insulated; two side walls were uniformly heated in the divergent channel. Heated walls were composed of 10 isolated coper sections and length-to-outlet hydraulic diameter ratio of 10. Rib height-to-outlet hydraulic diameter ratio was 0.1, and rib pitch-to-height ratio equaled 10. Results revealed that V-shaped continuous rib (case A) produced approximately 1.4 times higher average Nussselt number than in the parallel broken rib (case B), and V-shaped broken rib (case C) in the channel with two ribbed walls at Re = 54,000.

Development of gamma ray scanning coupled with computed tomographic technique to inspect a broken pipe structure inside laboratory scale vessel

  • This paper presents a laboratory experiment on data acquisition technique that applied to the gamma radiation scanning coupled with computed tomography (CT) technique for inspection of broken nozzle inside the vertical vessel. The acquisition technique was developed to inspect a large diameter vessel when suspicious problem location is not easily accessed. This technique allows the installation of gamma radiation source (Cesium 137, Cs-137), and detectors (Sodium Iodine. NaI(Tl)) from the accessible location to the required location and performs the scanning by designed pattern. To demonstrate the designed technique, top opened tank which installed with six cut steel pipes diameter of 76.2 mm (3") at a certain position was selected. They were assumed to be a gas riser pipes inside the vessel. Three studied cases were performed, (a) projection of well installed six pipes, (b) projection of one out of six broken pipe and (c) one of nozzle was assumed to be failure and fell down until one out of six pipes was broken and obstructed by nozzle. Results clearly indicated the capability of developed technique to distinguish between normal situation case and abnormal situation cases.

리스프랑 관절 골절 및 탈구: 나사와 Kirschner 강선을 이용한 치료 (Fracture and Dislocation of Lisfranc Joint: Treatment with Screw and Kirschner Wire)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to retrospectively analyze the clinical results of screws and Kirschner wire (K-wire) fixation in patients with fracture dislocation of Lisfranc joint and the consequence of screw breakage. Materials and Methods: Sixty patients underwent Lisfranc joint open reduction and removal of internal fixators from January 2007 to December 2011. Forty-nine cases (81.7%) underwent operations with screw alone, and 11 cases (18.3%) underwent operations with both screws and K-wires. Type of internal fixators, duration of internal fixator removal, breakage of internal fixators and satisfaction with reduction were investigated. Additionally, American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS) midfoot scales were analyzed. Results: The internal fixator was broken in 5 cases (8.3%). The average duration of instrument removal was 154 days in the non-broken screw group and 268.6 days in the broken screw group (p<0.05). The average AOFAS midfoot scale was 77.4 in the non-broken screw group and 74.2 in the broken screw group. The most commonly damaged portion was the first tarsometatarsal (Lisfranc) joint. Conclusion: Treatment with screws and K-wires was effective in patients with fracture dislocation of Lisfranc joint. The appropriate time for screw removal should be considered.

전단응력하의 분산형 복합재료에 미시역학적인 특성평가 (Analysis for Properties of Particle or Short Fiber Reinforced Composites based on Micromechanics under Pure Shear)

  • 본 연구에서는 분산형 강화복합재료에 균열이 발생하면 하중부하능력이 감소와 더불어 재료의 손상을 초래할 수 있어 재료의 완전한 게재물과 균열이 존재한 게재물이 있는 경우를 상정하여 하중부하능력과 탄성 음력분포를 평가한다. 무한체가 전단음력을 받을 때 완전한 게재물과 균열이 내재한 경우에 대하여 3차원 유한요소해석이 수행되어 완전한 게재물의 경우는 게재물의 영역의 음력은 동일하고 게재물의 계면은 다소 불균일하게 나타났다. 그리고 균열이 내재한 경우에는 균열주변에는 음력이 집중되는 경우를 볼수 있을 뿐만아니라 아주 복잡한 분포를 볼수 있었다. 불균질물의 평균응력은 하중부하능력으로 표현이 가능하였고 완전만 게재물과 균열의 경우도 균열손상에 의해 하중부하능력의 차이를 볼 수 있었다. 특히, 균열이 내재한 경우에 에스펙터비(aspect ratio)가 증가할수록 하중부하능력이 증가함을 알 수 있었다.

극초단파 조사에 따른 폴더형 휴대전화 손상 형태 분석 (Analysis on Damage Patterns of a Folder Type Mobile Phone Caused by Microwave-irradiation)

  • 본 연구에서는 정확한 화재원인 분석 및 사기범죄 여부 확인을 위하여 극초단파를 직접 폴더형 휴대전화에 조사하고, 이때 발생되는 휴대전화의 손상형태를 분석하였다. 극초단파 조사를 위하여 전자레인지를 이용하였으며, 전자레인지의 마그네트론에서 발생되는 2.45 GHz의 극초단파가 휴대전화에 인가될 때 휴대전화의 손상형태를 분석하였다. 실험 결과, 휴대전화에 극초단파를 조사하는 경우, 조사 시간이 길어짐에 따라 심하게 손상되는 경향을 나타내었으며, 특히, 폴더의 힌지 부분 및 인테나 부분과 같이 금속이 설치되는 부분이 심하게 열변형되는 결과를 나타내었다. 휴대전화의 배터리 부분은 외함이 열변형되는 것 이외에 배터리의 손상이나 폭발 등은 발생되지 않는 것으로 평가되었다.

Load carrying capacity of CFRP retrofitted broken concrete arch

  • To reuse a broken plain concrete (PC) arch, a retrofitting method was proposed to ensure excellent structural performances, in which carbon fiber reinforced polymers (CFRPs) were applied to repair and strengthen the damaged PC arch through bonding and wrapping techniques. Experiments were carried out to reveal the deformation and the load carrying capacity of the retrofitted composite arch. Based on the experiments, repairing and strengthening effects of the CFRP retrofitted broken arch were revealed. Simplified analysing model was suggested to predict the peak load of the CFRP retrofitted broken arch. According to the research, it is confirmed that absolutely broken PC arch can be completely repaired and reinforced, and even behaves more excellent than the intact PC arch when bonded together and strengthened with CFRP sheets. Using CFRP bonding/wrapping technique a novel efficient composite PC arch structure can be constructed, the comparison between rebar reinforced concrete (RC) arch and composite PC arch reveals that CFRP reinforcements can replace the function of steel bars in concrete arch.

방과 후 교육 프로그램이 결손가정아동의 지각된 사회적지지, 자아존중감, 행동문제에 미치는 영향 (Impact of After-School Education Programs on the Perceived Social Support, Self-Esteem and Behavioral Problems of Children from Broken Families)

  • Purpose: This study was to examine whether there were any differences in perceived social support, self-esteem and behavioral problems between children from broken families who participated in after-school education programs and others from broken families. Method: The subjects in this study were 45 children from dispersed families who were housed in a social-welfare agency in the city of Daejeon. Out of them, 22 children were grouped into an after-school educated group, and the others were selected as a uneducated group. SPSS program was used to analyze the collected data, and statistical data on real number and percentage were obtained. Besides, $x^2$-test and T-test were employed as well. Result: The major findings of the study were as follows: First, the perceived social support intergroup gap between the after-school educated group and uneducated group was not statistically significant. Second, the self-esteem intergroup gap was statistically significant(p<.01). Third, the delinquent behavior intergroup gap was statistically significant (p<.05). Fourth, as for correlational relationship among their perceived social support, self-esteem and behavioral problems, perceived social support has a positive correlation to self-esteem in the educated group(r=0.62, p<.01), and self-esteem was negatively correlated to internalizing problems in that group(r=-0.59, p<.01). The correlation of those factors was statistically significant. Conclusion: It has been confirmed that the after-school education program of broken familie child is very important in the healthy development of the children.

분무수세 건조한 무세미와 부산물 쇄립의 쌀가루 특성 (Properties-of Rice Flours Prepared from Milled and Broken Rice Produced by Pre-washing Process)

  • 일반 백미를 분무수세한 후 건조하여 제조한 무세미와 부산물로 생성된 무세미 쇄립의 이화학적 특성 및 오염미생물을 분석하였다. 무세미 쌀가루는 명도와 황색도가 원료쌀에 비해 다소 낮았고 수분흡수지 수(WAI)와 수분용해지수(WSI)는 원료쌀에 비해 높게 나타났으며 무세미 쇄립에서 gel consistency가 다소 높게 나타났다. 무세미 쌀가루는 amylo-graph 최고점도와 breakdown이 높았으며 setback은 가장 낮은 반면에 무세미 쇄립은 최고점도와 breakdown이 낮았으며 setback이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 무세미의 DSC 측정결과 호화개시온도와 호화최고온도가 원료쌀에 비해 약간 감소하는 경향이었으며 호화엔탈피는 다소 높게 나타났다. 무세미는 원료쌀에 비해 total bacteria, yeast-like strain의 수가 감소하여 쌀 표면 미생물의 세척 효과에 따른 미생물의 오염정도가 낮았다.
