Abstract
Purpose: This study was to examine whether there were any differences in perceived social support, self-esteem and behavioral problems between children from broken families who participated in after-school education programs and others from broken families. Method: The subjects in this study were 45 children from dispersed families who were housed in a social-welfare agency in the city of Daejeon. Out of them, 22 children were grouped into an after-school educated group, and the others were selected as a uneducated group.
