IFC-based Representation Method of Part Information in Superstructure Module of Modular Steel Bridge with Assembly System (모듈러 강교량 상부모듈의 조립체계 정의를 통한 IFC 기반의 부품정보 표현방법)

  • IFC-based representation method of part library for superstructure module of modular steel bridge is proposed. The library is capable of efficiently offering and exchanging part information in process of manufacture, assembly, design, and construction of modular steel bridge. Entities, representing physical part information in IFC model, are matched semantically with parts of the superstructure module for representation of part information with IFC model. Either types of matched entities are applied in order to verify the role of each part, or new types are defined as a user-defined types. In addition, assembly system has been classified and defined into 4 levels of LoD(Level of Detail) to provide appropriate part information efficiently from the part library in each step of the process. Then, new property is defined for representing the LoD information with IFC Model. Finally, IFC-based test library of modular steel bridge is generated by applying the matched entities and entity types to the actual the superstructure module of modular steel bridge.

  • Generally, DAB systems are divided into two categories, a stand-alone type and a PC/PDA-based type. The PC/PDA-based type has less mobility comparing to the stand-alone type, nevertheless, it has the advantage of using memory, audio/video decoder, or other resources of PC/PDA. The DAB receiver implemented in this paper is a PC-based receiver system employing USB interface. The USB interface bridge is designed using FPGA and EZ-USB development kit and the implemented DAB receiver adopts the bridge and makes use of the stand-alone typed DRK-026 receiver for experiments. The USB interface bridge transforms serial data into USB packets and all of related signals are controlled by hardware logics. The operation of the implemented DAB receiver is verified by sending audio data into the PC for decoding through USB interface bridge.

  • NTB는 transparent bridge와 공통적으로 독립적인 PCI bus(PCI 또는 PCI Express bus)에 대해서 데이터 전송 경로(path)를 제공한다는 점에서 기능적으로 유사하다. 그러나, NTB와 transparent bridge 간의 가장 큰 차이점은 NTB가 사용될 경우에 bridge의 하향부분(downstream side)에 위치한 장치들은 상향부분(upstream side)에서는 보이지 않는다는 점이다. 이는 bridge의 하향부분(downstream side)에 위치한 인텔리전트(intelligent)한 제어기(예를들면 CPU를 포함하는 컴퓨터)가 자신의 downstream side에 위치하는 서브시스템 내 각종 장치들을 독립적으로 관리할 수 있다는 점이다. NTB는 또한 첫 번째 호스트(primary host)의 PCI bus로 구성된 서브시스템(subsystem) 계층구조(hierarchy)에 두 번째 호스트(secondary host)를 연결하는 데 사용될 수 있다. 이는 두 시스템간 통신을 가능하도록 하는 반면, 두 시스템을 서로 격리시키는 효과도 발생한다. 즉, NTB는 일반적으로 도어벨(doorbell)을 통해서 bridge의 다른 편에 위치한 장치에 대해서 인터럽트를 보낼 수 있으며, 또한, scratchpad 레지스터를 보유하고 있어 bridge의 양측에서 데이터를 상호 공유함으로써 interprocessor communication 할 수 있다.

  • A blockchain bridge (hereinafter referred to as "bridge") is a service that enables the transfer of assets between blockchains. A bridge accepts virtual assets from users and delivers the same virtual assets to users on other blockchains. Users use bridges because they cannot transfer assets to other blockchains in the usual way because each blockchain environment is independent. Therefore, the movement of assets through bridges is not traceable in the usual way. If a malicious actor moves funds through a bridge, existing asset tracking tools are limited in their ability to trace it. Therefore, this paper proposes a method to obtain information on bridge usage by identifying the structure of the bridge and analyzing the event logs of bridge requests. First, to understand the structure of bridges, we analyzed bridges operating on Ethereum Virtual Machine(EVM) based blockchains. Based on the analysis, we applied the method to arbitrary bridge events. Furthermore, we created an automated tool that continuously collects and stores bridge usage information so that it can be used for actual tracking. We also validated the automated tool and tracking method based on an asset transfer scenario. By extracting the usage information through the tool after using the bridge, we were able to check important information for tracking, such as the sending blockchain, the receiving blockchain, the receiving wallet address, and the type and quantity of tokens transferred. This showed that it is possible to overcome the limitations of tracking asset movements using blockchain bridges.

  • An experimental investigation on the ruined RC bridge with 30 years old has been conducted to estimate the durabilities. The ruined RC bridge estimated in this study was located at Kyung-Bu Express Way. First, concrete strength and durability characteristics such as concrete resistivity, chloride content were estimated. Second, it was to test reinforcing corrosion embedded in slab of bridge. And, third, tensile strength and yield strength of reinforcing bar corroded and not corroded were estimated. This bridge inspection provides the most common cause of defects and deterioration and the results of this inspections give more specific information than those of laboratory inspections do.

  • This study ranges from planning phase to the detailed design phase of steel box girder bridge and proposes ways to generate semantic information of components through Industry Foundation Classes (IFC), a data model for Building Information Modeling (BIM). The classification of components of steel box girder bridge was performed to define information items required for identifying semantic information based on IFC, and spatial information items based on topology and physical information items based on functions of components were classified to create additional properties that does not support IFC by applying user-defined property set within the IFC framework. Steel box girder bridge information model based on IFC was implemented through BIM software and semantic information input interface, which was developed in this study to examine the effectiveness of the additionally created user-defined property. Furthermore, the quantity take-off of components was performed through information model of steel box girder bridge, and the applicability of the proposed method was tested by comparing the quantity take-off based on design document with the result.

  • A correctly designed bridge offers improved operational safety in terms of increased vigilance, flexibility of operation, precision of control and operator's situational awareness. According1y to design human centered bridge, the consideration shall be given to the man-machine interface, location and interrelation of workstation, configuration of console, windows. field of vision and bridge working environment. The state-of-the-art suits for one-man operation by integration of conning information and central information presentation. Further, it is desirable to enable two man ship operation for emergency operations, training purposes and redundancy. In this point of view, this thesis would like to design a conceptual bridge.

  • An integrated ship area network has functionality of remote control and autonomous management of various sensors and instruments embedded or boarded in a ship. For such environment, an wireless bridge is essential to transmit control and/or managing information to sensors or instruments from a central integrated ship area network station. In this paper, one of reliable schemes of WiMedia based wireless bridge using relay cooperative transmission using WiMedia distributed MAC protocol is proposed to increase a communication reliability between cluster headers, irrespective of channel variation. Simulation results show that the proposed wireless bridge using relay cooperative transmission scheme increases communication reliability.

  • Because of the rapid growth of Internet, the firewall is generally used to protect the network sorority. The firewall on Linux or FreeBSD Kernal, which is widely used, supports either Gateway or Bridge Mode. In this study, we present the firewall which supports simultaneously Gateway and Bridge Mode. For the application service, it is suggested that the firewall which has excellent expandability ran construct a network without another proxy.
