  • The purpose of this study is to develop a wedding dress basic torso pattern and sleeve pattern considering good fit and aesthetic for figures of Korean brides in their 20s. For the research method, 3 women in their 20s who has the body size of ${\pm}$ S.D range of average figure and dress form suggested by 'the 5th human body measurement' of Size Korea were selected as the test group. The evaluators are 8 clothing construction majors, and the evaluation items included total 22 questions related to torso and total 10 questions related to sleeves. The evaluation was made using 5 Likert point scale. 4 prototypes for basic dress pattern were selected through the literature search. After compare analyzing design methods of prototypes, the real wedding dresses were made in the average size of women in their 20s and the dresses were tried on for the assessment. The data was analyzed using SPSS 18.0 Program to examine average, standard deviation and significant differences between basic patterns. Based on the results of the first and the second try-on assessments, a new wedding dress basic pattern with maximized strengths of compared prototypes was completed. The details of result follows. As for dress torso basic pattern, A pattern, which had the highest overall silhouette satisfaction and scores in basic pattern analysis and try-on assessments, was selected as the prototype, and a research basic pattern reflecting strengths of each basic pattern was developed. As for dress sleeve basic pattern, B pattern, which had the highest overall silhouette satisfaction and scores in basic pattern analysis and try-on assessments, was selected as the prototype, and a research basic pattern reflecting strengths of each basic pattern was developed. In this study, a wedding dress basic pattern considering good fit and aesthetic for figures of Korean brides in their 20s was suggested. • To properly answer the question 'Why have Vietnamese Women kept appearing in Korean Films and TV dramas?', We need to induce Postcolonial discourse along with historical and cultural similarities between Korea and Vietnam. It is because the relationship of two countries can be defined as a neocolonialism specially in view of economic relationship. Koreans need to locate themselves on the superior position by othering Vietnamese women, who are close enough to be compared and also distant enough to be othered. This paper is intended to bring their being in Korean films and TV dramas under the light of postcolonial discourse. According to the postcolonial concepts such as ambivalence, stereotyping and subaltern, Korean films and TV dramas are classified into three groups, which are Vietnam war melodramas, Horror movies based in Vietnam, and TV dramas with Vietnamese brides. War melodramas have been othering Vietnamese woman through ambivalence of the fear of Vietcom warrior and the fascination of exotic beauty. Horror movies, produced about 10 years later, brought the Vietnamese women back to Korean audience, stereotyping them into ghosts, which are incarnated through the suppression and eruption of sexual desire. The third group consists mainly of TV dramas. Their story usually evolves around Vietnamese brides migrating into Korea. The women are forced into the position of Subaltern, not representing themselves in their own voices. Facing multi-cultural society, our visual media are requested to modify their neocolonial approach of presenting Vietnamese women. To accomplish the goal, they have to find ways of storytelling to show the women in their everyday lives and help them to speak for themselves.

  • For bridge-vehicle interaction analysis of cable-supported brides, the superposition method is applied based on the results of 3-dimensional free vibration analysis using General-purpose FEM Software. This study firstly performs the eigenvalue analysis for the free vertical and the torsional vibration of bridges using FEM analysis. Next the equations of motion considering interaction between bridges and vehicles/train are derived from mode superposition method. And then dynamic analysis is performed using the Newmark numericial method. Finally through the numerical examples, the dynamic responses of cable-supported bridges by this study are presented and discussed.

  • For the seismic design of bridges in Korea classified as the low to moderate seismic zones, the design concepts provided in the Standard Specification for Highway Bridges, Division I-A: Seismic Design, are adopted, which is basically developed for the strong seismic zones by AASHITO. Accordingly, the design procedures provided for the low to moderate seismic zones are simplified too much to fulfill the purpose of the seismic design. In this paper the design procedures given for the low to moderate seismic zones in the Standard are summarized and discussed in view of the seismic design purpose. From the discussion results some revisions are proposed as conclusions for the reasonable a, pp.ication of the Standard for bridges located in the low to moderate seismic zones.

  • Recently, the prestressed concrete box girder bridges are increasingly built at various locations in the world. The mechanical and structural behavior of prestressed concrete brides varies because of time-dependent material properties and sequential change of structural system due to stepwise construction. The time-dependent behavior of concrete is of importance in the design and construction of segmentally constructed and cast-in-place prestressed concrete box girder bridges. The structural response is affected b variations in creep, shrinkage properties of concrete. In this study, the example of time-dependent deformations is extended to establish how the variability in concrete properties affects the accuracy of the calculated deformations in such a bridge, and finally the results are discussed.

  • This research explores the intension of repeatable guests through on the wedding facilities, employees' service ability, and banquet menu. First, wedding facilities include transportation, parking lots, subsidiary facilities, reception desks, Paebaek Rooms, and waiting rooms for brides. Secondly, according to the analysis for service quality of hotel wedding feasts, respondence and sympathy were not be fully considered while good effects showed through materiality, reliability and conviction. Thirdly, hotels will be expected to have re-visiting guests when the guests have good experience on the hotel facilities and satisfying menu. Alternatively, menu would have a negative result if there's not satisfying service. Employees should be aware of the list of menu and can be able to offer a suggestion. In other words, a banquet has to be prepared not only with fresh or seasoned ingredients but with good service to make the guests revisit. Therefore, we should be aware of what our guests want and how to prepare for their satisfaction.
