고결모래의 강도정수와 일축압축강도 관계 (Relation of the Strength Parameter and the Unconfined Compressive Strength in Cemented Sand)

  • In this study, a series of CID tests were performed on gypsum-cemented specimens to determin the cohesion intercept and the confined stress start to break the cementation bonds (${q_i}'_{(BP)}$). And the relationships between the unconfined compressive strength ($q_{ucs}$) and cohesion intercept or ${q_i}'_{(BP)}$ were investigated. From the experiments, it was concluded that the friction angle of cemented sands is not affected by cementation while the cohesion intercept of cemented sands significantly influenced by cementation and is constant before ${q_i}'_{(BP)}$. By an analytical interpretation, the failure strength of cemented specimen could be represented by summation of the failure strength of uncemented specimen and the unconfined compressive strength of cemented one. And the cohesion intercept of cemented specimen was represented as a linear relation with the unconfined compressive strength. Those analytical values of failure strength and cohesion intercept almost coincided with the experimental values of those. In addition, the ${q_i}'_{(BP)}$ also could be related with unconfined compressive strength linearly.

Kinetics and Mechanism of the Pyridinolysis of Ethylene Phosphorochloridate in Acetonitrile

  • The nucleophilic substitution reactions of ethylene phosphorochloridate (2) with X-pyridines are investigated kinetically in acetonitrile at $-20.0^{\circ}C$. The free energy correlations for substituent X variations in the nucleophiles exhibit biphasic concave upwards with a break point at X = 3-Ph. Unusual positive ${\rho}_X$ (= +2.49) and negative ${\beta}_X$ (= -0.41) values are obtained with the weakly basic pyridines, and rationalized by the isokinetic relationship with isokinetic temperature at $t_{ISOKINETIC}=6.6^{\circ}C$. The pyridinolysis rate of 2 with a cyclic five-membered ring is forty thousand times faster than its acyclic counterpart (3: diethyl chlorophosphate) because of great positive value of the entropy of activation of 2 (${\Delta}S^{\neq}$ = +49.2 eu) compared to negative value of 3 (${\Delta}S^{\neq}$ = -44.1 eu) over considerably unfavorable enthalpy of activation of 2 (${\Delta}H^{\neq}=28.4\;kcal\;mol^{-1}$) compared to 3 (${\Delta}H^{\neq}=6.3\;kcal\;mol^{-1}$). Great enthalpy and positive entropy of activation are ascribed to sterically congested transition state (TS) and solvent structure breaking in the TS. A concerted mechanism involving a change of nucleophilic attacking direction from a frontside attack with the strongly basic pyridines to a backside attack with the weakly basic pyridines is proposed.

  • 고성능 마이크로프로세서에서 값 예측기는 한 명령어의 결과를 미리 예측하여 명령들 간의 데이터 종속관계를 극복하고 실행함으로써 명령어 수준 병렬성(Instruction Level Parallelism, ILP)을 향상시키는 기법이다. 본 논문에서는 ILP 프로세서 명령어 수준 병렬성의 성능향상을 위하섞 값을 미리 예측하여 병렬로 이슈하고 수행하는 값 예측기를 비교 분석하여 각 테이블 갱신 시점에 따른 예측기별 평균 성능향상과 예측률 및 예측정확도를 측정하여 평가한다 이러한 타당성을 검증하기 위해 실행구동방식 시뮬레이터를 사용하여 SPECint95 벤치마크를 시뮬레이션하여 비교한다.

생태계제어 구조물의 파랑제어 효과에 관한 연구 (A study on the wave control function of ecosystem control structures)

  • Multipurpose development of the coast and ocean can be considered as multifunction construction combining the functions of coastal protection, waterfront amenity and creation or rehabilitation of habitats. Multfunction development of coastal and ocean spaces can be accomplished by applying the ecosystem control structure of artificial habitats which will cultivate fishing ground with ecological harmony to the coastal protection system. To evaluate the applicability of ecosystem control structures as as fundamental coastal protection structure, wave control function of the structure is studied by numerical and physical analyses. Dimensional analysis and hydraulic experiment point out the importance of width and crest depth of ecosystem control structure, construction water depth and wave steepness. Wave control efficiency is estimated by the attenuation coefficient $(K_H)$ according to wave steepness $(H_0/L_0)$, relative constructed water depth $(h_i/H_0)$, relative berm width $(B/L_0)$ and relative crest depth $(h_B/H_0)$ of eosystem control structure. Empirical fomulas are suggested based on the results of model test by applying the multiple model based on this experimental results and numerical wave shoaling-dissipation-breaking model appears to be valid for the analysis of wave transformation around ecosystem control structure in the coastal waters.

Kinetics and Mechanism of the Pyridinolysis of 1,2-Phenylene Phosphorochloridate in Acetonitrile

  • The nucleophilic substitution reactions of 1,2-phenylene phosphorochloridate (1c) with X-pyridines are investigated kinetically in acetonitrile at $-25.0^{\circ}C$. The free energy correlations for substituent X variations in the nucleophiles exhibit biphasic concave upwards with a break point at X = 3-Ph. The pyridinolysis rate of 1c with a cyclic five-membered ring is $2.70{\times}10^5$ times faster than its acyclic counterpart (1a: phenyl ethyl chlorophosphate) because of great positive value of the entropy of activation of 1c (${\Delta}S^{\neq}$ = +26 eu) compared to negative value of 1a (${\Delta}S^{\neq}$= -24 eu) over considerably unfavorable enthalpy of activation of 1c (${\Delta}H^{\neq}=20.5kcal\;mol^{-1}$) compared to 1a (${\Delta}H^{\neq}=12.7kcal\;mol^{-1}$). Great enthalpy and positive entropy of activation are ascribed to sterically congested transition state (TS) and solvent structure breaking in the TS. A concerted mechanism involving a change of nucleophilic attacking direction from a frontside attack with the strongly basic pyridines to a backside attack with the weakly basic pyridines is proposed on the basis of greater selectivity parameters (${\rho}_X$ = -1.99 and ${\beta}_X$ = 0.41) with the strongly basic pyridines compared to those (${\rho}_X$ = -0.42 and ${\beta}_X$ = 0.07) with the weakly basic pyridines.

전부 주조관 제작을 위한 내화모형재 분리에 관한 연구 (A Study about the Separation of the materials Used in Refractory Cast Dies For Making All Ceramic Crowns)

  • I attempted to suggest a better method to separate a refractory cast in order to solve the problems caused by bonding between refractory casts and ceramics in the firing-processing of all ceramic crowns as a part of dental prosthodontics. I emphasize the advantages and effectiveness of easy separation after firing by using the separating materials about the refractory cast dies. 1. We must not usse HF(55%) that is used as the chemical separating methods. 2. We decrease such methods as grinding, blasting, bur, and point 3. We can save time, costs and manual labors by using this methods. 4. This method regulates the expansion and constriction of heat because of the chemical reaction of the separating materials. 5. This method contribute to the breaking down without modification by minimizing the chemical and mechanical damages of the marginal and interior parts.

  • The purpose of this to inquire of the people who run a dental mechanical laboratory having troubles to manage and to find out the reform measures on the point at issue. With having done random sampling for the chiefs of dental mechanical labs across the nation, and then marking the analysis of the data for the survey, I came to a conclusion to be as follow. 1. The operating problems in dental mechanical laboratory in Korea is that it is too near at hand that the requested days for the manufacture of dental prosthesis appliances form dental clinics(45%)(P<0.01) 2. The problem of dental mechanic manpower was due to a small salary and inferior working environment(35% each)(P<0.01) 3. Some of them discount dental mechanical charges in manufacturing dental prosthesis appliances(36.7%)(P<0.01) 4. Many of them employed unlicensed dental technicians(61.7%)(P<0.01) As a counterplan for the aforementioned, I think that the whole dental mechanics should cooperate in breaking off the customary custom to allow a discount on the dental mechanical charges and readjust the dental mechanical charge to a realistic level so as to contribute to the development of the dental mechanical community and the vetterment of the public oral hygience.

종자계형 진공 인터럽터에서 접점전극 슬릿의 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effect of the Contact Electrode Slits in the Vacuum Interrupter with Axial Magnetic Field Type)

  • This paper deals with the distribution characteristics of the current density and axial magnetic flux density for each slits made on the contact electrode in the vacuum interrupter with axial magnetic field type using 3-dimension finite element analysis. It has been known that the presence of an axial magnetic field parallel to the current flow in the arc plasma can increase the high current breaking capacity of vacuum interrupter by carrying out the arc plasma from constricted mode to diffusion mode. The axial magnetic field is created of itself by current flow in the segments of coil electrode behind the contact electrode. The analyzed results show that if the slits are made in the contact electrode, they can increase the current density and axial magnetic flux density in the contact electrode surface and at the gap distance, which is due to decrease the effect of eddy currents flowing in the contact electrode. The phase shift due to eddy currents, defined 3s time difference between the maximum value of current and axial magnetic field, is decreased still more by increasing the number of slits made in the contact electrode at the center point of gap distance. These results demonstrate that 3-dimension finite element analysis has a great deal of merits in the development and evaluation of new electrode at the design of vacuum interrupter.

천해역(淺海域)에서 파(波)와 흐름의 상호작용(相互作用)에 의한 파랑변형(波浪變形) (Wave Transformation with Wave-Current Interaction in Shallow Water)

  • 수심(水深)이 변하고 흐름이 존재(存在)하는 곳에서 천해파(淺海波)의 파랑변형(波浪變形) 해석(解析)에는 Boussinesq방정식(方程式)에 기초(基礎)한 포물형방정식(抛物形方程式)이 이용된다. 이안류(離岸流)는 Stokes파(波) 이론(理論)의 적용한계(適用限界)를 넘어선 곳에서 발생하므로 본(本) 연구(硏究)에서는 흐름이 존재하는 천해역(淺海域)에서 적용이 가능한 비선형(非線形) 포물형방정식(抛物形方程式)으로 수심변화(水深變化)에 의한 천수현상(淺水現象)과 흐름과의 상호작용(相互作用)에 의한 파(波)의 굴절(屈折) 및 회절현상(回折現象)을 해석(解析)하였고, 흐름은 상대적(相對的)으로 강한 흐름과 약한 흐름을 발생시켜 흐름의 세기에 의한 영향(影響)에 대해 비교(比較) 검토(檢討)하였으며, 수치해석(數値解析)은 쇄파(碎波)가 일어나기 전까지 수행(遂行)하였다.

  • Wave overtopping is one of the most important hydraulic responses of breakwater because it significantly affects its functional efficiency, the safety of transit and mooring on the rear side, wave transmission in the sheltered area, rear side armor stones and to some extent, the structural safety itself. In this study, hydraulic model tests has been carried out to investigate the influence of berm's size on overtopping rate by maximum overtopping rate and mean overtopping rate. The hydrodynamic characteristics of berm breakwater by the overtopping rate can be summarized as follows: 1. It is better to use maximum overtopping rate than to use mean overtopping rate for design of coastal structures in the point of view of stability. 2. When construct berm to decrease energy of waves that it was needed to make breaking conditions of wave on the berm. 3. Under the relative length of berm was over 0.13 overtopping rate was significantly decreased. 4. Overtopping rate affected significantly by the relative length of yhe berm than height of the berm.
