In the human skin, vitamin C (L -ascorbic acid) that is well known as the activated materials has effects that is skin anti-aging and wrinkle repair by giving impetus to collagen biosynthesis and anti-oxidation, and that is the sun screen, a wound recovering, inhibition melanogenesis and so on. In spite of its effects, vitamin C has the defects of the skin stimulation and easily oxidized instability by water, air, heat and light. For solving their matters, many investigation is advanced and its results are synthesized the various vitamin C derivatives. And yet they have not solved the unstable property of vitamin C and were still insufficient for the comparing with the effect of the pure vitamin C itself. In this study, in order to prepare vitamin C derivative of being improved the stability and to apply vitamin C effect in the skin, we prepared new vitamin C derivative, phytosphingosine ascorbate, by using phytosphingosine, one of sphingolipids, which have a distinguished skin affinity. Phytosphingosine ascorbate can be prepared as the ionic bond between amine group (-NH$_2$) of phytosphingosine and hydroxy group (-OH) of vitamin C by way of the relatively simple reaction. So the structure and properties of the synthesized phytosphingosine ascorbate was confirmed the use of elemental analysis (C 58.3 : H 9.3 : N 2.8 : O 29.5), MALDI TOF-MS (Mw=492.58), Ultraviolet spectra (268.5nm), lH NMR, FT-IR spectra, thermal analysis (m.p=l54$^{\circ}C$), HPLC and so on. And we could confirm the anti-bacterial and anti-oxidation effects. Based on these results, we could confirm to prepare a new material that was expected of both effects of vitamin C and phytosphingosine and that is improved properties of vitamin C.

Multi-functional urethane acrylate monomers as the curing agent of poly(phenylene ether) (PPE) were synthesized and then the urethane bond formation was checked by FTIR spectrometry and NMR analysis. The synthesized monomers were mixed with PPE and fabricated to dielectric substrates. After forming PPE/monomer composite sheets by a film coater, several sheets were laminated to a test substrate in a vacuum laminator and then its properties depending on the type and the amount of monomers, such as dielectric constant, dielectric loss, and peel strength, were measured. Between the two different hydroxyl acrylates, when the monomer synthesized with 2-hydroxy-3-phenoxypropyl acrylate containing a phenyl group was used as a curing agent, a smaller dielectric loss was obtained and the dielectric constant and loss decreased with a decrease in the amount of the monomer. The peel strength values of the test substrates, however, did not show any specific difference between the cases of two synthesized monomers. As a result, it was obtained the polymer substrate for high frequency application having peel strength of about 10 N, low dielectric constant of 2.54, and low dielectric loss of 0.0027 at 1 GHz.

Since 1970s, urethane waterproofing method is broadly used in rooftops, underground spaces, and sports stadium for its outstanding ultraviolet blockage, watertightness, and elasticity. However, development of slippage-resistance and endurance, improvement of function considering convenience and visually pleasing of users, urethane waterproofing method is necessary, since rooftops and underground spaces have slippage and external force risks. Therefore, many improved waterproofing methods are being developed and, recently, embo-thane waterproofing method, which applies embo-spray coating system, has been developed. This paper explains exposure, nonexposure, and floor-material of embo-thane waterproofing method, and then perform experimental study for comparison with urethane waterproofing method about tensile strength, coefficient of expansion, performance of bond, anti-abrasion, and slippage-resistance. In addition, the performance index was presented for the superiority of embo-thane waterproofing method compared to urethane by setting up evaluation criteria considering not only physical performance but also design side of embo-thane waterproofing method, and Value Analysis applying AHP. Also for an assessment considering uncertain result, Monte Carlo Simulation Method was used to operate reliability analysis through statistic approach method.
The effect of moistening and air-drying of acid-conditioned dentin before priming on the formation of resin-dentin hybrid zone was investigated, Freshly extracted human molars were used and divided at random into 5 groups, Groups 1 - 3 consisted of specimens conditioned with 10 % phosphoric acid for 20 seconds; Group 1 served as a control in which the conditioned dentin was simply blot-dried with a damp facial tissue; Group 2 was air dried for 30 seconds ; Group 3 was air dried for 30 seconds and immediately remoistened for 10 seconds with air-water syringe. and then the specimen was blot-dried with a damp facial tissue. Groups 4-5 were not acid conditioned ; In group 4, the smear layer on the dentin was blot dried before primer placement; Group 5 was air dried only for 30 seconds, The acetone-based primer and bonding agent of All Bond 2 (Bisco. Inc., USA) and composite resin (Z-100, 3M Dental products, USA) were applied for acid conditioned dentin and non-conditioned dentin. The morphologic ultrastructure of resin-dentin hybrid zone was examined by the use of SEM and TEM. and the existence of inorganic material and analysis of Ca/P weight-percent ratio in the resin-dentin hybrid zone were revealed by the EDAX, The results were as follows : 1. In the moistened specimens from acid-conditioned groups, the resin penetrated about 3-$4{\mu}m$ into dentin and the denatured collagen smear layer was not present at the surface. The resin tag was formed to a thickeness of 3-$4{\mu}m$ at the upper part of dentinal tubule and compactively connected to each other by means of many lateral branching. 2. In the air-dried specimens from acid-conditioned groups, the resin penetrated about 2.0-$2.5\;{\mu}m$ into dentin and an upper thin black layer to a thickness of 30-35nm was identified between adhesive resin and demineralized collagen layer. The resin tag to have a diameter of $2.5{\mu}m$ was formed at the upper part of dentinal tubule. However the funnel shape of the tag was not notable compared to the moistened specimens. 3. In the remoistened specimens from acid conditioned groups, the resin penetrated about 2.0-$2.5{\mu}m$ into dentin and an upper black layer was not present. The resin tag at the upper part of dentinal tubule was formed less than $2{\mu}m$ and was weakly connected to each other by means of few lateral branching. 4. In the non-conditioned groups, the smear layer was formed to a thickness of $0.5{\mu}m$ at dentin surface. However, the resin-dentin hybrid zone was not identified by TEM. The evidence of resin penetration into intertubular and intratubular dentin did not show. 5. All the acid-conditioned groups showed that the detected calcium and phosphorus weight percent ratios at the $2{\mu}m$ upper portion from the resin-dentin interface into the resin were much higher than that at the $2{\mu}m$ lower portion from the resin-dentin interface to dentin. Among the sewage pipes installed in Korea, the length of concrete pipes exceeding 20 years is 66,334 km (42.5%). Deteriorated concrete sewer pipes need to be repaired due to the leakage of internal sewage, which causes problems such as sink holes by expanding the cavity around the pipeline. In this study, we tried to apply anti-washout underwater mortar with ultra rapid hardening cement and segregation reducing agent to sewage pipe repair. As a result of the setting time test, the final set time was delayed by up to 172% by incorporating segregation reducing agent. In the test for measuring the degree of mortar segregation in water, it was measured at pH 12 or less under all mixing conditions. In addition, the suspension amount was measured to be 50 mg / l or less to satisfy the KCI-AD102 standard by incorporating a segregation reducing agent. In terms of the average value of mortar compressive strength, by incorporating segregation reducing agent, the strength of the specimens produced in air was more than 80% of that of the specimens produced in water. Conversely, the bond strengths of the specimens produced in water were measured to be higher than those of the specimens produced in air. Water resistance was evaluated by measuring water absorption and water permeability. Water absorption and water permeability were reduced by 42.6% and 36.6%, respectively, by mixing segregation reducing agent.
The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the relationship between the amount of cuspal deflection and linear polymerization shrinkage in resin composite and polyacid modified resin composite, For cuspal defelction and shrinkage measurement, Dyract AP, Compoglass F, Z100, Surefil. Pyramid, Synergy Compact, Heliomolar and Heliomolar HB were used. For measuring polymerization shrinkage, a custom made linometer (R&B, Daejon, Korea) was used The amount of shrinkage among materials was compared using One-way ANOVA analysis and Tukey's test at the $95\%$ of confidence level For measuring cuspal deflection of teeth, standardized MOD cavities were prepared in extracted maxillary premolars. After a self-etching adhesive was applied, cavities were bulk filled with one of the felling materials. Fifteen teeth were used for each material. Cuspal deflection was measured by a custom made cuspal-deflection measuring device. One-way ANOVA analysis and Tukey's test were used to determine differences between the materials at the $95\%$ of confidence level, Correlation of polymerization shrinkage and cuspal deflection were analyzed by regression analysis. The amount of polymerization shrinkage from least to greatest was Heliomolar, Surefil < Heliomolar HB < Z100, Synergy Compact < Dyract AP < Pyramid, Compoglass F (p<0.05). The amount of cuspal deflection from least to greatest was Z100, Heliomolar, Heliomolar HB, Synergy Compact Surefil < Compoglass F < Pyramid, Dyract AP (p < 0.05). The amount of polymerization shrinkage and cuspal deflection showed a correlation (p<0.001).

$^{68}Ga$ has emerged as a promising candidate for non-invasive diagnostic imaging within Positron Emission Tomography (PET) because of its advantageous radiochemical characteristics ($t_{1/2}=68min$, ${\beta}^+$ yield ~89%). $^{68}Ga$ forms a stable chelation with various ligands and it is possible to be quickly and easily study using a $^{68}Ge/^{68}Ga$ generator. Commercial $^{68}Ge/^{68}Ga$ generators are chromatographic system using the inorganic materials such as alumina and tin dioxide which are employed as column matrixes for $^{68}Ge$. In this study, we tried out to make $^{68}Ge/^{68}Ga$ generator system with the $^{68}GeO_2$ microstructures for column matrix. $^{68}Ge$ tends to have stable bond with oxide as $^{68}GeO_2$ microstructures. The $^{68}GeO_2$ has been synthesized by hydrolysis of $GeCl_4$ (sol-gel method) and characterized by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscope for geometrical analysis. The stability of $GeO_2$ was tested using eluents with diverse solvents(water, ethanol and 0.1 N HCl). The radioactivity of $^{68}Ga^{3+}$ in eluate through $GeO_2$ was measured to prove a function as column material for a generator.
The theoretical investigation has been performed to predict thermodynamic stability, density, detonation velocity, and detonation pressure of energetic salts produced by pairing of nitrogen-rich anions (tetrazine, oxadiazole etc.) and cations (NH3OH+, NH2NH3+, CH9N6+, C2H6N5+). All possible geometries and the binding energy for the trigger bond of energetic salts have been optimized at the B3LYP/cc-pVDZ level of theory. The detonation velocity and detonation pressure have been calculated using Kamlet-Jacobs equation, while enthalpy has been predicted at the G2MP2 level of theory. The predicted results reveal that the energetic salts including small sized NH3OH+(1) and NH2NH3+(2) cations increase detonation property. And also the energetic salts including more amino group (-NH2) such as CH9N6+(3) cation increase thermodynamic stability. These results provide basic information for the development the high energy density materials (HEDMs).
In this study, to improve the interfacial bond strength of cast iron-aluminum dissimilar materials, graphite was removed to a certain depth from the cast iron surface through de-graphitization heat treatment. As the heat treatment time increased, the depth at which graphite was removed increased, showing a linear relationship between the heat treatment time and depth. Aluminum was filled to a certain depth on the de-graphitized cast iron surface through die-casting method, and no intermetallic compounds were formed on the cast iron-aluminum interface. The interfacial bonding strength showed a value of 90 MPa regardless of the heat treatment time, which is very high compared to the 12MPa bonding strength of the material without de-graphitization heat treatment. This result is thought to be due to the mechanical bonding of the undercut structure as the liquid aluminum, penetrated by the high pressure die-casting process, solidified in the de-graphitized region of the cast iron.

In this study, novel Eu2O3-BaF2-La2O3-B2O3 oxyfluoride glasses and glass ceramics were developed by a containerless processing. Differential thermal analysis (DTA) analysis was performed to analyze the thermophysical properties of oxyfluoride glasses doped with Eu2O3, and photoluminescence (PL) characteristics were analyzed to evaluate the luminous efficiency depending on the degree of crystallinity. The glass transition temperature decreased with increasing BaF2 concentration since BaF2 acts as a network modifier in this glass system. In addition, thermal stability which can be estimated by the difference between the glass transition temperature and the onset temperature of the crystallization decreased with increasing BaF2 contents. The peak related to the BaF2 crystal was confirmed after the crystallization by X-ray Diffraction (XRD) analysis. Photoluminescence intensity increased after the crystallization which indicates that the Eu3+ ions are sited in BaF2 crystal. La 3d5/2 x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and F1s XPS spectra were analyzed to precisely understand the behavior of the fluorine ion in the glass structure. Fluorine tends to bond with the network modifying cations such as La3+ and Ba2+ ions and after the crystallization the La-F bonds decreased because F- ions used to form BaF2 crystals.
