The purpose of this study was to investigate how formativeness of shamanism has expressed and developed in modern fashion. Formative expression of shamanism in modern fashion has expressed in the way of on style, color, material and pattern as follows; Style has made animal and human incorporated by expressing abstract animal on the part or whole of costume and it has reconstructed traditional shaman costume into modern costume. Skin colors of living bodies which exist in nature, such as black, blown, yellow and grey, were used to symbolize spirit and low brightness of colors such as blue, white and black were also used to symbolize hyperspace. Artificial materials which imitate animal figure and genuine materials from animal were used. Various natural materials used in traditional shaman costume were also used. Animal patterns and abstract patterns symbolizing the celestial heaven and lower world, and patterns shown on wall painting and rock painting has appeared. The meaning of shamanism in modern fashion can be identified as interchangeable movement of time and space, a cosmic outlook on the world and ration. Spiritually designed costume has made fashion move to hyperspace in spirit trip. Modern fashion with shamanism has expressed its cosmic outlook on the world or universal wish beyond human's real world by patterns such as bird figure which means the celestial heaven and lower world. Corporation and transition of human and animal were symbolized as shaman hypernatural intercourse with designs expressed in costume using a part of animal or animal's characteristics.

To improve the quality of rice candy, We studied on manufacturng method and characteristic of rice candy by adding ratio of red ginseng marc. The results obtained were as follows: The boiled rice was added with 15 % malt extract to 1.2 times. After it was saccharified for 12 hours to 70℃, we concentrated it and made black rice candy. Then red ginseng marc was dried at 18% of moisture content and disrupted to 30 mesh below for manufacturing red ginseng marc's powder. Maintained at about 100℃, black rice candy added red ginseng marc's powder. These were mixed evenly and dried. Finally, rice candy adding red ginseng marc was completed. According to the characteristics of rice candy by adding red ginseng marc, the more amounts of red ginseng marc was increased, the less hardness and adhesiveness of rice candy was decreased. Also the brightness of the color difference was decreased. but yellowness and redness was increased. When adding red ginseng marc at 17.5%, it was evaluated to the good score in sensory evaluation.
This study investigated the colors of the costumes in the film 'The Handmaiden'. The author categorized and examined the hue and tone of the main character's costume as well as provided an adjective image surveyed from the standpoint of the audience in order find if the intended story of the director is delivered to the audience through costume colors. Study method analyzed 25 set costume colors of the heroine 'Hideko'. The color analysis were analyzed by capturing DVD images that showed the costume of 'Hideko'. The colors of costumes were analyzed by recognition through the eyes based on the IRI, Hue, and Tone 120. In addition, the analysis of the IRI adjectives image were conducted through the survey. Costume hue of the heroine 'Hideko' in the film 'The Handmaiden' were black, yellow, white, green, and purple. There were many colorful costumes in the movie. Tones were very pale, deep, bright, vivid, strong, and pale. Chroma were evenly distributed and brightness were distributed in the order high, middle, and low. They were interpreted as the intention of showing the situation and psychology of 'Hideko' in various scenes of the film through various costume colors. Color images of the film 'The Handmaiden' were classified as feminine, mature, classy, delicate, classic, noble, polished, refined, showy, western, mellow, pure, and decorative.
This study is an attempt to establish an aesthetic and fashion sense of the heroine's image and fashion according to the social environment which is related to fashion transformation. Also, this study modem society's need for specific social occupational roles through fashion and clothing in cinema. first, individual people are estimating their social position and ability by his/her fashion style. Modem fashion styles are changing into various, complicated, gorgeous and attractive styles; however, the needs of professional women's clothing styles are fairly conservative. Second, classical, closed, and unobtrusive fashion styles are appearing in modem cinema's clothing depending on professional women's expertise in fashion styles. Third, changes of styles are varied by their colors and clothing design. Colors had not changed very much during the last 30 years; however, in the 1980's, white and grey colors, in the 1990's black and achromatic colors, and in the beginning of this century dark green and brown and also diverse colors have been used. But the brightness is so light and expressed by a quiet and cold style. Furthermore, the inner images are judged by their forms which is determined by how people choose their clothing styles. Consequently, women's clothing styles easily appear as a result of their preconceived ideas formed by their professional knowledge and ability.

We investigate the origin of radio emission in nearby early-type galaxies using the European VLBI Network (EVN) at 1.4 GHz. The sample included NGC 1277, which was found to have an over-massive black hole of $1.7{\times}10^{10}M_{\odot}$, and four other early-type galaxies in the Perseus cluster. All the sources were detected above $5{\sigma}$. They show compact radio cores and high brightness temperatures, $10^7{\sim}10^9K$, which implies that radio emission in these objects is non-thermal. While the observed radio luminosities could be consistent with star formation (${\sim}1M_{\odot}yr^{-1}$), the small source size would imply a specific star formation rate (sSFR) of ${\sim}10^6M_{\odot}yr^{-1}kpc^{-2}$. Such a high sSFR rules out ongoing star formation. Supernovae (SNe) are ruled out as well because it is unlikely that we see SNe in all galaxies at the same time, and there is no significant radio variability either. The most plausible scenario is that these galaxies show low luminosity AGN activity in the radio, although there is no sign of AGN activity in other bands. If our interpretation is correct, then regular early-type galaxies may harbor active AGN more often than suspected from observations at other wavelengths.

An experiment was conducted to identify salient colours for information coding at electronic video displays. CRT and TFT-LCD were used to evaluate the effect of different types of electronic displays on the salience of colours. Total of 100 Subjects, 50 for each display were asked to select more salient 10 colours among 24 given colours. There was no statistically significant difference in the salience of colours between the two display types. The result showed that the tested colours could be clustered into 5 categories according to their brightness, saturation, and the number of R, G, B elements occupied to reproduce the colours. Three achromatic colours (black, white, grey) and eight chromatic colors (red, yellow, green, blue, cyan, orange, magenta, and indigo) were identified as the salient colours at the electronic video displays. The result also showed that the eight chromatic colours could be clustered into two distinct categories, landmark colours(red, yellow, green, and blue) and the other basic colours (cyan, magenta, orange, and indigo). It is noticeable that cyan, magenta, and indigo substituted for pink, purple, and brown that were recommended as the salient colours for the environment not using electronic video displays by the previous researches.
We present the discovery of rare active galactic nuclei (AGNs) in nearby (z<0.05) compact elliptical galaxies (cEs) located in isolated environments. Using spectroscopic data from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) Data Release 12, four AGNs were identified based on the optical emission-line diagnostic diagram. SDSS optical spectra of AGNs show the presence of distinct narrow-line emissions. Utilizing the black hole (BH) mass-stellar velocity dispersion scaling relation and the correlation between the narrow L([OIII])/L(Hβ) line ratio and the width of the broad Hα emission line, we estimated the BH masses of the cEs to be in the range of 7×105-8×107 solar mass. The observed surface brightness profiles of the cEs were fitted with a double Sérsic function using the Dark Energy Camera Legacy Survey r-band imaging data. Assuming the inner component as the bulge, the K-band bulge luminosity was also estimated from the corresponding Two Micron All Sky Survey images. We found that our cEs follow the observed BH mass-stellar velocity dispersion and BH mass-bulge luminosity scaling relations, albeit there was a large uncertainty in the derived BH mass of one cE. In view of the observational properties of BHs and those of the stellar populations of cEs, we discuss the proposition that cEs in isolated environments are bona fide low-mass early-type galaxies (i.e., a nature origin).

The study is an image-based assessment that uses image processing techniques to determine the condition of concrete with surface cracks. The preparations of the dataset include resizing and image filtering to ensure statistical homogeneity and noise reduction. The image dataset is then segmented, making it more suited for extracting important features and easier to evaluate. The image is transformed into grayscale which removes the hue and saturation but retains the luminance. To create a clean edge map, the edge detection process is utilized to extract the major edge features of the image. The Otsu method is used to minimize intraclass variation between black and white pixels. Additionally, the median filter was employed to reduce noise while keeping the borders of the image. Image processing techniques are used to enhance the significant features of the concrete image, especially the defects. In this study, the tonal zones of the histogram and its properties are used to analyze the condition of the concrete. By examining the histogram, the viewer will be able to determine the information on the image through the number of pixels associated and each tonal characteristic on a graph. The features of the five tonal zones of the histogram which implies the qualities of the concrete image may be evaluated based on the quality of the contrast, brightness, highlights, shadow spikes, or the condition of the shadow region that corresponds to the foreground.

This study developed a high strength and performance concrete pavement material with low shrinkage and reflection of sunlight. Based on the literature review, a new mix-design of applying flash ash to improve the strength and performance of the concrete as well as to reduce the dry shrinkage is suggested. In addition, adding black pigment to reduce the reflection and technique of applying OAG (Optimized Aggregate Gradation) is also included. The result of the laboratory experiment indicates that the brightness and the reflection, which depends on the ratio of black pigment addition, did not deviate from the normal range. When OAG is considered for the mix-design, the strength and performance of the concrete improved greatly. In addition, the mix-design using fly ash reduced the dry shrinkage of concrete and improved the resistance to the permeation of chloride ion. Furthermore, the mix-design, which uses fly ash (25% replacement) and black pigment (3% addition) with the application of OAG, is found to be the most effective mix to reduce the shrinkage and reflection as well as improving the strength and performance of the concrete. The result of an economic analysis indicates that the initial construction cost of this proposed mix is more expensive than that of normal concrete pavement material. However, it can be more economic in the long run because the normal concrete pavement material is likely to cost more due to higher probability of maintenance and repair and higher social cost due to traffic accident, etc.
This research proposes the on-stage costumes for the play Hamlet of Shakespeare performed by Yunheedan Guhri Pae - the Street Theater Troupe. Stage costumes have an important role in displaying the characteristics of each characters to the audience and has big visual effects. However, in order to design the costumes in the object viewpoints of the audience, the survey on the images of the characters who had actually watched the performance was taken place and proposed the costume design according to the results of the survey. Hamlet a: This result was applied to propose a sweater in black color, black leather pants and vest. Hamlet b: This result was applied to propose hooded coat in purple in middle level of brightness and color spectrum and yellow coat. For free image, loose pants in blue and vest in the same color tone were proposed. Gertrude a: This result was applied to use purple (violet) with reddish tone to propose the formation of a dress applying tailored suit. Gertrude b: This result was applied to propose purple gown and the one-piece dress with black laces. Ophelia a: This result was applied to propose feminine white dress and cape in purple color tone. Ophelia b: This result was applied to propose dyed and weaved clothes. Through the surveys as above, the images of each character was driven in adjectives, and using the results driven from the brightness, coloration, and color, color images were proposed. Only one costume cannot make up for the stage costumes and because it exists as an element of stage production, it is true that costumes are limited in some areas. However, that limit can become the motive of the costume. There is a limit, which the designer cannot produce the costumes as he or she had designed but I believe it is the center of the on-stage customers to display the characteristics of the characters according to the given concept. The limit of this research is the fact that because the costumes were designed so they fit the conditions already given, thus it was difficult to regard the process of designing and producing the costume as a project done according to the interaction. And in the future, if it is possible, I wish for the joint research with the people responsible for stage art to take place as a practical stage art. It was possible to produce practical costume since they were produced for actual performance and the production of costumes considering the dance steps, line of flow, and acting, was able to reduce the trial and error on stage. Through this research, I felt that the understanding and smooth interaction on diverse other areas not limited to the costume design should be taken place and believe that this was a research that proposes new research method since there had been only a few previous research regarding the on-stage costumes for actual performances. Therefore, this research had depended on the surveys given to the audiences to endow objectivity, however, I wish this research can contribute to defining effective process and methods for the on-stage costumes with more active researches with diverse methods and in diverse areas. I am sorry that the costume production for all the characters and all the scenes in Hamlet couldn't be done due to many limitations. As the following research assignment, I am planning on designing the costumes for all the scenes.
