Structure of Deposition Chamber using Belt Source Evaporation Techniques in AMOLED Manufacturing

  • The organic deposition chamber has been developed using belt source evaporation techniques for the first time. The deposition chamber is consisted of the belt source, organic vapor source, and the mask alignment assembly. The rollers operate for the thin metal belt to continuously move with the automatic tension control. It has been proved for the belt source evaporation easy to operate and the alignment of the substrate/shadow mask becomes so simple to use in AMOLED manufacturing industry.

Doping control of Belt Source Evaporation Techniques for Large Size AMOLED

  • In order to understand the doping control for the belt source evaporation, the Alq3 and NPB were codeposited on the Ta plate to re-sublimate. The very slow heating $(0.1^{\circ}C/s)$ of the Ta plate shows the separated rate signals of Alq3 and NPB sublimated from the Alq3-mixed NPB organic film on Ta plate. The ratio of the vapor rates of Alq3 and NPB was measured as same as that of each sublimation rates. Therefore, the doping control of the belt source evaporation is of the ratio of the vaporization rates of host and dopants.

  • We introduce the inline type mass production tool for the large size lighting OLEDs and flexible OLEDs. The manufacturing tool includes the linear belt source what is new concept for the organic deposition processes and the deposition operation combines directly to the encapsulation operation in a tool. The linear belt source evaporation in deposition processes is performed during the substrate transferring to innovatively improve the productivity in manufacturing.

  • The belt source evaporation is for the large size AMOLED devices to re-sublimate the organic film deposited on the metal plate. Using the plane source, the PL spectrum of the doped organic film has been studied for the first time. The PL peak of the pure Alq3 film was 512nm and that of the pure Rubrene was 557nm. The PL peak of the 2% Rubrene doped Alq3 film was shifted to $536{\pm}2nm$. The PL peak wavelength measured at the front surface of the film and at the back surface of the film was measured as nearly same as that the doping ratio maintains uniform within the film thickness. In conclusion, the doping control of the organic film becomes real using the belt type plate sublimation deposition.

  • The heat pump is one of heating and cooling systems driven by electricity using natural energy as a heat source. The heat pump system was mainly adopted to a cooling system or a refrigeration system. In regions with a large amount of electricity, it is used as a heating system or a heating and cooling system of houses, buildings and agricultural facilities. During cold weather, air source heat pumps do not work well because of some technical problems, such as frosting on evaporator coil when outside air temperature is below -5$^{\circ}C$. In this research, the heat regenerative technology was employed to eliminate the frosting on evaporator coil and improve the COP of the heat pump system. This fiber belt heat regeneration system(FBHRS) has very simple structure consisting of a geared motor and a porous fiber belt passing through alternatively between cold and warm air duct. The laboratory test showed that the heat pump system with a FBHRS yielded an impressive COP higher than 3.5 at the outside air temperature of -7$^{\circ}C$ in heating mode.

  • In order to propose the design and installation information of vegetation belt, field investigation were carried out in the noise pollution control facilities of highway and the streets of a city for two years(1998~1999), and field tests were performed to analyze the noise attenuation effect of them. The noise pollution control facilities were generally classified into three types (noise barrier and vegetation belt type, mounding and vegetation belt type, vegetation belt type only). Most soundproof facilities were proved the noise reduction effects. But according to width, height, structure, auditory distance and planting forms of them, difference of noise reduction effects were investigated. The soundproof facility was suitable the mounding and vegetation belt type in the consideration of road environment, and the installation standard of vegetation was estimated that the width of vegetation was at least 20m and the length of that was 2 times in the distance from noise source.

  • Occupant simulation models have been used to study trends or specific design changes in several typical crash situations. The ATB, Articulated Total Body, was developed and used to predict gross human body responses to vehicle crashes and pilot ejections. Since the ATB source code is open to public, the user can add their own defined modules and functions. The introduction of seat belts into cars significantly decreased the injury risk of passengers in frontal impacts. In this paper, a new seat belt model was developed and implemented into the ATB. For this purpose, a subroutine of the new seat belt was constructed. A force-deflection function was added to replace an existing function to consider energy absorption. The function includes hysteresis effects of the experiment data of the loading and unloading parts of the seat belt load-extension curve. Moreover, this belt model considers a slip between ellipsoid and belt segments. This paper attempted to validate the ATB program which includes the subroutine of new belt models comparing with the real car frontal crash experiments and MADYMO frontal models. The analysis focusses on the human movement and body accelerations.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate whether or not belt's jobs represent a source of job enrichment that translates into positive job characteristics and satisfaction. Hackman and Oldham's 5 job characteristics, 3 critical psychological states and MPS are utilized for analyzing results of the study. The results indicate that Black and Master Black Belt's jobs have positive effects on all five job characteristics, 3 psychological states, and MPS score. However, the findings indicate that Black and Master Black Belt's jobs are no direct effect on job satisfaction suggesting that growth need strength controls on job satisfaction. The result shows that there is a support for the prediction that growth needs strength controls the effect of belt's jobs on job satisfaction.
