  • To be an adjunct professor(gyeomgyosu) literally means to act as an instructor while also holding a different position. Adjunct professors were initially introduced under Confucianism. Gradually, technical offices also appointed adjunct professors using Confucian-educated bureaucrats for the purpose of educating lower-level technical officials and cadets. This paper examines the history of the civil service system related to adjunct professors through the Code of Laws, and examines those who have been appointed to the public office described in various documents. This paper argues that changes in the medical office's adjunct professor system reflect changes in the national medical talent training policy. The main basis of specific recognizing medical personnel is to decouple the appointment of Confucian scholars from that of full-time doctors. The replacement of the role of medical educators from Confucian scholars to full-time doctors was largely accomplished during the reign of King Jungjong(中宗) and was completed during the period of King Injo(仁祖). The time when Euiyakdongcham was created and the Office of Euiyakdongcham was established coincided with the period when the adjunct professor was disrupted in the medical office. However, this change in the adjunct professor system of medical authorities is in contrast to interpretation, which is a representative technical field. In the case of interpretation, Moonshin's sayeogwon position as adjunct professor was maintained even in the late Joseon Dynasty, and apart from this, there was a hanhagmunsin in Seungmunwon. Interpreter families had institutional arrangements that prevented them from making interpretation their own monopoly. Therefore, families of medical bureaucrats had more room for institutional growth than those of bureaucratic interpreters. Of course, these institutional devices did not prevent the growth of interpreting bureaucratic families in the late Joseon Dynasty. However, the situation in which medicine was accepted only as a kind of knowledge, not as an object of full-time work for sadaebue, would have been an opportunity to rise for those in technical jobs who were full-time medicine. As medicine became more differentiated and developed in the late Joseon Dynasty, medical knowledge and the knowledge about the medical profession became more important. The politicians could not avoid the use of a philosophically oriented system in which a confucian-educated bureaucrat equipped with only Confucian knowledge might replace a full-time doctor. Thus, the contradiction between the reality and the ideal of ignoring or denying reality was reproduced like other Confucian-centered societies. These contradictions have implications for us living in the modern age. Establishing the relationship between philosophy (or belief) and technology should not end with the superiority of one side or the other.

  • Today's society is being caught in a whirlpool of change that is not behind the Industrial Revolution, the Reformation and so on. Technological determinism is the most general perspective that explains information society. It is the belief that information technology will bring about a particular form of information society. It is the opinion that the sequence of change of technology is inevitable and asks for a particular social change(Kim, 2006). When technology asks for it, however, not only the degree of technological development but also the credibility of the degree of technological development plays an important role in changing a society. This study was implemented based on the opinion that social change and individual change can vary depending on the degree of trust of people in the Internet technology. This study analyzes preferences of real-name system depending on the credibility of anonymity on the Internet and its influences on the behaviors of users, focused on the survey on the difference between ordinary users and users related to the Internet business. It also suggests not only the potential and the appropriateness of anonymity on the Internet, but also measures to alleviate adverse effects of it. Lastly, the objective of this study is to offer a dispute of real-name system and the standard of the anonymity policy on web sites.

  • Assumption-based truth maintenance system (ATMS) is a tool that maintains the reasoning process of inference engine. It also supports non-monotonic reasoning based on dependency-directed backtracking. Bookkeeping all the reasoning processes allows it to quickly check and retract beliefs and efficiently provide solutions for problems with large search space. However, the amount of data has been exponentially grown recently, making it impossible to use a single machine for solving large-scale problems. The maintaining process for solving such problems can lead to high computation cost due to large memory overhead. To overcome this drawback, this paper presents an approach towards incrementally maintaining the reasoning process of inference engine on cluster using Spark. It maintains data dependencies such as assumption, label, environment and justification on a cluster of machines in parallel and efficiently updates changes in a large amount of inferred datasets. We deployed the proposed ATMS on a cluster with 5 machines, conducted OWL/RDFS reasoning over University benchmark data (LUBM) and evaluated our system in terms of its performance and functionalities such as assertion, explanation and retraction. In our experiments, the proposed system performed the operations in a reasonably short period of time for over 80GB inferred LUBM2000 dataset.

  • In mobile ad-hoc networks (MANETs), nodes are mobile in nature. Collaboration between mobile nodes is more significant in MANETs, which have as their greatest challenges vulnerabilities to various security attacks and an inability to operate securely while preserving its resources and performing secure routing among nodes. Therefore, it is essential to develop an effective secure routing protocol to protect the nodes from anonymous behaviors. Currently, game theory is a tool that analyzes, formulates and solves selfishness issues. It is seldom applied to detect malicious behavior in networks. It deals, instead, with the strategic and rational behavior of each node. In our study,we used the dynamic Bayesian signaling game to analyze the strategy profile for regular and malicious nodes. This game also revealed the best actions of individual strategies for each node. Perfect Bayesian equilibrium (PBE) provides a prominent solution for signaling games to solve incomplete information by combining strategies and payoff of players that constitute equilibrium. Using PBE strategies of nodes are private information of regular and malicious nodes. Regular nodes should be cooperative during routing and update their payoff, while malicious nodes take sophisticated risks by evaluating their risk of being identified to decide when to decline. This approach minimizes the utility of malicious nodes and it motivates better cooperation between nodes by using the reputation system. Regular nodes monitor continuously to evaluate their neighbors using belief updating systems of the Bayes rule.

  • An objective of this paper is to discuss the didactical contracts which have been conceptualized by Brousseau. He modelled mathematics instruction as a game. In such game, didactical contracts existed as its own hidden rules which teacher and student should obey Brousseau introduced it to reveal certain hidden rules which regulates mathematics instruction. Those rules are implicit and reciprocal. In particular, it is not revealed until students break. He defined didactical contracts as teacher's behaviour and corresponding students 'behaviour in order to define it operationally. He he did not define it in psychological and epistemological dimension. But it is necessary to discuss teacher's belief system and epistemology, since teacher's behaviour in instruction is affected by them. He also did not discuss fully teacher's breaking of didactical contracts.

  • Information systems that are not used cannot be useful. In order to increase user acceptance, it is necessary to understand why people accept or reject information systems. Technology Acceptance Model(TAM) is one of the most influential research models for studying determinants how users accept information systems. Recently, Knowledge Management Systems(KMS) have become important components of corporate systems as the foundation of industrialized economics has shifted from natural resources to knowledge assets. This paper applies TAM to investigate users' acceptance of KMS in public administration institutions. It sampled 182 users who had experience in using KMS. Many empirical researches have suggested that TAM can be integrated with other organizational theories to improve its predictive and explanatory ower. We extended the basic TAM by the integration of appraisal and reward satisfaction theory. There are many external variables that influence the perception and the belief of system users. We introduced two external variables(job characteristics, IT self-efficacy) and one additional perception variable, perceived appraisal and reward(PAR) in the basic TAM model. The LISREL model analysis is used for finding out the causality among variables and testing the model fitness. As result, The IT self-efficacy influences to the perceived ease of use(PEOU) and the PAR, and the PEOU influences directly to the perceived usefulness(PU), the PAR, and the attitude toward KMS. The KMS participation intention(PI) was influenced by the PAR and the attitude directly, andbythePEOUindirectly. Finally, this paper suggests some guidelines for the adoption of KMS in public sectors on the basis of the study results.

  • The purpose of this study is to dimensionally examine the factors of policy changes by applying the ACMS model to KEPCO's structural reorganization privatization policies and study its implications. As a result of the analysis, among the external variables that affect as a financial source or restriction to advocates, all areas except for the difference in opinion of the people as well as policy decision and effects of other subordinate systems were shown to be in an advantageous condition acting as a financial source to advocates of structural reorganization privatization. On the other hand, advocates affected by the external variables share a certain belief system in which the advocates of privatization share the justification of profitability while the advocates of collectivization share the justification of publicness. In these flows, the announcement of the privatization plan of public enterprises of the committee of planning and budgeting acts as a matter of contact which opens the windows for policy changes, and this window goes through ignition, explosion, and fixation which causes fierce interactions among advocates of both sides. Eventually, in accordance with the contents of excluding electricity(KEPCO) from the list for privatization the window for policy changes has closed and things have changed to a transitional KEPCO privatization policy. Based on this, the first implication is that non-official participants such as the people, social organizations, labor unions, etc. influence policy changes more than they did before. Secondly, in the process of policy changes, there is an order of boundary even in the fierce interactions between each advocate. Thirdly, specific variables can play various roles in complex policy phenomenon. Fourthly, a logical analysis using the ACMS model is possible in Korea as well. Fifthly, as a result of analyzing the change process of the KEPCO structural reorganization privatization policy through the ACMS model, not all matched with the main research results implied by the ACMS model.
