Make-up illustration is a field of creativity with visible creative and artistic values; its ultimate functions include communication of information, artistic expression, and recording. Establishing the make-up illustration education environment for the twenty-first century, there is an urgent need for research and development of professional curricula for basic art education and illustration education. It is extremely important for educators and institutions teaching make-up illustration to recognize that training of highly creative and professional beau designers through systematic educational structures is the ultimate foundation for enhancing competitiveness of the beauty industry despite the present reality that there are insufficient studies and publications on beauty illustration and that there is lack of illustration lecturers and artists equipped with professional beauty knowledge. Therefore, this study was conducted to research and analyze offering of illustration subjects by 160 beauty-related vocational schools and 16 4-year undergraduate colleges in the make-up field, which is the field with most creative art activities among the three representative beauty majors, namely make-up, hair, and skin. Education of make-up illustration must not remain as simple short-term education. The curricula must be specialized for providing solid foundation of basic majors. In terms of education content, strong emphases must be made for original and creative mark-up designs as well as purposes, functions, and necessity of make-up design and illustration. The curricula must include systematic, logical and artistic elements. Through the course of this study, which researched, analyzed and proposed measures for education content of make-up illustration, it was found that make-up illustration is the most appropriate subject that fulfills both the ultimate education objectives of beauty colleges and the demand by the society for beauty professionals. It is hoped that make-up illustration is emphasized and recognized for its importance and necessity as an education subject so that similar basic major subjects will further be researched and developed for specialized education.

The purpose of this study was to supply the opportunity of being used as a material which can predict future fashion. This study had been divided the symbolic meaning into three parts. The first part was the symbolic expressions in the materials of modern fashion, and the second part was symbolic meaning which was expressed in the accessories, and the last part was the symbolic meaning which was expressed in the physical ornament. The results could be summarized as follows. First, among the forms of heraldry were expressed in modern Fashion, were such as animals like a lion and eagle, which evoked the powerful and lively mood. A vegetable heraldry was expressed on a pattern of textile fabric to pursue the beauty of dress, represented female and classical beauty. A inanimate object heraldry was included all natural material that didn't have all lives the world, represented the mystery and intensity of nature as using the design that sets off the idea through color and figure. Second, in the case of being the forms of heraldry used as a mark or logo in modern fashion, it was visualized the fashion of traditional sense, marine look and military look. This mark or logo had important characteristics of symbolic in that the product had a special meaning and function by trade mark. Third, tattos were used to heighten the people's union in the various subordinate cultures. By ornamenting their bodies, they expressed their special identity and consciousness. Tattos represented a unique menas, which effected a mood of fashion.

This is a research on the effect of formula containing of vitamin A and vitamin E(Frie of oil, Wlter Bouhon GmBH, Germany) on the strech mark. The participants of this study were 20 women at the age of early 20s through middle 20s, who had strech marks that had been over 1 year at the minimum and at less than 5 years at the maximum. Formula containing of vitamin A and vitamin E was applied with typical massage to strech marks for 4 months and twice per day. Improvement resulting from the application was evaluated through observation with the naked eye, questionnaire survey, and the equipment used was DermaScan C Ver3(Cortex Technology, Denmark). The experiment showed that parts cared with formula containing of vitamin A and vitamin E had less strech marks than those control site(treated with jojoba oil).In around 2 months since the use of the formula containing of vitamin A and vitamin E, the tensile of the skin increased and deep wrinkles on the chapped surface became unclear, and in around 4 months the tensile force again decreased and the resilience of the skin increased, and the ultrasonic image showed the decrease of echo pore-zone, which indicates the degree of tissue damage. According to the result of the questionnaire survey, strech marks of less than red strech marks of primary stage were improved more quickly than white strech marks and all participants appeared to experience improvement. The result shows that if this formula is used continuously over 4 months, it reduces strech marks and increase the resilience of the skin. It is considered necessary to continue objective measuring and research concerning strech marks.

Literature in beauty art is insufficient regarding beauty spot, though it has played an important role in beauty art history. This study aims at analyzing various patterns and decorative functions of beauty spots and examining their remarkable differences by place and time. It attempts to find the symbolistic characteristics of beauty patch which influenced European countries socially and culturally in the 17th and 18th centuries, findings are as follows: first, beauty spots are extremely various by patch patterns and by forms, e.g. Wha-Jeon(花鈿), Bindi and artificial points. In the view of cosmetic purpose, they have been used to beautify appearances, reveal social positions and express the desires like blessing or protection from evil. In the times of Baroque and Rococo, though temporarily, people with beauty spots and their belonged societies used them as communicative tools: obviously, they functioned symbolistically. This study surveyed 156 persons to find what cosmetic messages and images beauty spots present in the contemporary world. Using SPSS 13.0, the study analyzed the responses and found that beauty spots are still functioning and welcomed to let women look more beautiful and more attractive, though their cosmetic messages and sizes have been simplified and scaled down.

With supplied computers and the development of information and communication thropugh the Internet, the space of personal home pages in potal sites has been filled with photos taken by digital cameras, and 'the introduction of privacy' done in the personal home pages has become a general trend in society. As the use of Photoshop, available to edit and modify digital photos, in this social atmosphere, has grown general, they have shown their interest in the retouching technique of Photoshop. Computer graphics, marked based on the treatment of a variety of information into pictures or a technology to mark it, recently various application methods have been found in make-up. Especially, Adobe Photoshop, used to edit and modify images, is a sofetware program proper to perform beauty make-up in correcting and creating images in an effective way. The purpose of this study is to express each factor in Adobe Photoshop CS2 about the beauty make-up. As a result, I can say, the process that digital image is retouched by Adobe Photoshop CS is similar work to beauty make-up. The process of Photoshop retouching can be used as the materials for educating of make-up and as the materials for presentation of beauty make-up trend. And also we can serve the simulation to the customer before real make-up. Therefore, this study is for the effective performance of diverse beauty makeup integrating retouch technique with Photoshop CS.

South Korea became the country where there is the most plastic surgery per person in the world. Plastic surgery already has been the core part in the beauty industry. Therefore, in order to understand the beauty industry, we studied the characteristics of the plastic surgery's websites. From 2006 to 2011, we researched total number of 407 plastic surgery websites including, 166 the most visited plastic surgery websites, 241 comparing of bench mark websites. The collected data was analyzed by using the method of Multiple Discriminant Analysis(MDA). As a result of the research, firstly, the most visited plastic surgery websites were not a contents provider but a community website, secondly, well organized and actively adaptable of the rapid changes from environment. In addition, there were also competitiveness to become the most visited plastic surgery website and by the possibilities, the relatively large size of plastic surgery had high probability to own the most visited website. This research paper is looking forward to be used as the understanding the e-business of the plastic surgery.

The emphasis of simplicity in design is because of the desire to deliver much content with a simplest way. Since in general, a simple form is outstanding in its symbolical nature and the relief of plastic beauty is easy by it, it is usually applied to a form of a symbol mark. However, in the meantime, if any local autonomous group or enterprise which has not tried to give efforts to its advertisement than they might expect and might be disadvantageous in competition. For consumers, when they experienced several, forms of simple, symbol mark, would not remember the special features of each mark. Rather, for the psychology of perception, they might remember only the formative, common features, there by grouping the marks by their common features. In this study, some symbol marks in Dobong-gu Ward Office and Wonju city were inspected, reviewed, and analized. And its is a finding that the subjects of this study could not distinguish or identify any of marks from another mark having a similar image of it: the reason is that the simplicity of a symbol mark made or allowed them to recognize it identical with the other imaged: it proves that the mistakes, defects of memory, and accumulated errors are oriented to the identical image. After all, the appearented image and perceived image are differnt. Any of symbolmarks which takes a simple form does not mean the perceived image is also simple. As a final conclusion, designers, in order to produce any of competitive symbolmarks, need to thoroughly understand psychology of gestalt.

The purpose of this study was to verify the acne care improvement effects of natural cosmetics with distilled bamboo vinegar contents and develop the materials for acne cosmetics. For the research subjects, 20 teenage boys and girls were selected and based on random number table, 10 subjects were assigned in the control group that used natural cosmetics (foam cleanser, toner, facial pack) and 10 subjects were assigned in the experimental group that used natural cosmetics with distilled bamboo vinegar contents (foam cleanser, toner, facial pack). The natural cosmetics was used for 12 weeks, and Mark-·Vu facial analysis system was used to measure the sebum, pore size, and redness before using the natural cosmetics, 6 weeks after using the natural cosmetics, and 12 weeks after using the natural cosmetics. For the collected data, SPSS v. 21.0 statistics package program was used for the analysis, and the results are as follows. First, it is a safe natural cosmetics based on the results of the patch test to confirm the skin safety of the natural cosmetics. Second, homogeneity was secured based on the results of the test of homogeneity for the sebum, pore size, and redness of the control group and experimental group. Third, in the verification of acne skin improvement effects of natural cosmetics with distilled bamboo vinegar content, the experimental group had higher reduction rate of changes in the sebum, pore size, and redness on the forehead and right cheek compared to the control group. Therefore, it was identified that the natural cosmetics with distilled bamboo liquid content is safe for the skin and effective for reducing the sebum, pore size, and redness for acne skin. For this reason, it is anticipated for distilled bamboo vinegar to be used in the cosmetics industry.

This study attempts to propose a pattern design of snug fitting midi briefs for women. Each briefs made of two kinds of fabric, cotton 40's and cotton 40's spandex, was produced for the research in a different shrinkage rate. The result of wearing test of the briefs-sold-in-the-market (BSM) and the briefs-specially-made-for-this-research (BSMR) were as follows: BSMR showed a higher mark than that of BSM in the sense of close fit on the torso, comfortableness, sense of being tight, satisfaction and beauty. In particular, the back design line of BSM gave a lower satisfaction to test wearers, while that of BSMR gave a more comfortableness to them, making their hip comfortably being wrapped by making smoother the angle of the straight line linking sidelines with clutch part, and making sidelines into curve. In a forward research, further studies about grading and other patterns but midi pattern of briefs would be examined.
