It is essential to apply compression bands or pressure garments that can stabilize the breast implants and breast shape as well as help shape the breast to the desired shape immediately after breast augmentation surgery. It is necessary to study the compression garment which is able to properly cover a deformed breast due to the operation and shape it as a beautiful breast. The subjects of the study were 6 women who experienced breast augmentation surgery with an under bust size of 70 or 75, cup size of C cup with a hemispherical and conical shape. We analyzed the dissatisfaction and satisfaction factors through the evaluation of the 4 types of commercial compression garments and developed the new functional post-operative bra which can be worn immediately after the operation according to the breast characteristics of breast augmentation patients. We have developed new bra patterns; a front opening type garment with wings and a band type garment both sides that allow the band to be pressed from the front center. The comparative wearing evaluation indicated that the superiority of the new compression garments also provided a higher the satisfaction of the newly developed bra (front adjustable style) than a commercial band.

Scandinavian design has special meaning in design history. Especially the Swedish designers have developed elegant and humane design style by combining the functionalism originated in Germany in the beginning of 20th century with their own crafts tradition. Now 'Swedish Modern' or 'Swedish Grace' is regarded as the most preferrable style for modern industrial society. American design as well as European design has been much changed under the influence of this democratic, simple and beautiful style. To find out the essential qualities of Swedish design style, I want to investigate the history of modern Swedish design and the design mechanism in Swedish corporates. Also I want to introduce the design education system in Sweden, which has contributed to developing contemporary Swedish design philosophy.

This study was carried out to develop colored-wood furniture using veneer, small-round log and fiberboard to protect forest resources through the study of minimalism. which advocates the environmental issue inherent to contemporary furniture in the postmodern era. Based on the historical and theoretical context of minimalism closely related to the environmental protection, this study suggested the technical way how to produce the environment-friendly furniture with the least use of valuable and natural log. Finally, the color-wooden furniture was developed based on the asceticism, simplification, and repetition of the minimalism in a trend of contemporary furniture design. By soaking a veneer, Psuedotsuga menziesii and small-round log, Pinus densiflora into a very-diluted organic dye, the environment-friendly and colored-wood furniture could be created in harmony with contemporary interior space, which has showed various colors such as yellow, blue, red, and green with a pastel tone. The spring wood of the colored softwood was deeply stained, while the summer wood was lightly done. By utilizing such valueless used woods which have been little in furniture production, it was possible to decrease the consumption of precious raw log such as zelkova, ebony, rose, maple, cherry, mahogany and so on. Thus, it became obvious to be able for contemporary furniture designers to produce beautiful furniture with dyed fiberboard and small-round logs pregnant with minimalism.

The purpose of this study was to classify pursuit of clothing benefits and analyze the relationship between pursuit of clothing benefits, lifestyle, fast fashion attitude, and cosmetics behavior of college students. Questionnaires were administered to 338 college students living in Deagu and Busan province. Data were analyzed by using frequency, factor analysis, cluster analysis, correlation analysis, $X^2$-test, ANOVA, and Scheffe-test. The findings are as follows. Pursuit of Clothing benefits typologies of college students were classified into three groups such as self-expression, pursuit of economic, and pursuit of social oriented body. In the relationship of the pursuit of clothing benefits was related to the sub-variables of lifestyle, fast fashion, and cosmetics behavior. Pursuit of Clothing benefits groups showed different the sub-variables of lifestyle, fast fashion attitude, and cosmetics behavior factors. Pursuit of Clothing benefits groups showed connected with college students and ages.

The goal of this study is to deduce the image of city people on rural district, and to clarify the city people's demands on rural tour and their consciousness on green tourism. This study also aims to propose the effective ways of improving the environment of rural district to revitalize green tourism and to promote the exchange between urban and rural districts. The study results indicate that most city people have a warm-hearted lyric image on rural district. In addition, it is indicated that the city people like the rural district with beautiful scenery, which is easy to contact with nature. On the other hand, as the goal of green tourism, in addition to the contact with nature, the exchange between urban and rural districts and the understanding on the rural life through personal experience are also considered very important. Finally, the city people are classified into four types, and it is necessary to develop the green tour program with emphasis on the city people of overall-type.

This study recorded the sound of Korean traditional musical instruments by considering the radiation characteristics of traditional Korean musical instruments and setting the diverse mounting angle and distance of microphone. By following recorded results, the study analyzes the optimum position of microphone and the characteristic of timbre through frequency range spectrum and repeated listening. This experiment of study is for technique of close microphone which is used in popular music, therefore it is recorded in the popular music recording studio. The study also suggests the optimum position for the microphone to record, and explains the difference of timbre at different position. The result of study will suggest the best technique of Close Microphone Techniques for Korean Traditional Musical Instruments not only to accurately express the beautiful and unique sound of traditional Korean musical instruments but also to obtain diverse timbre.

Recently, new aspects of paints such as a beautiful appearance, use of environmentally friendly paints, etc., in addition to the superior performance of paints have been requested for industrial paints including the paints for heavy construction equipment and others. Particularly, the quality of appearance of coating affects the sales of heavy construction equipment. And the necessity for the paints to have a superior weather-proof property without changing the luster or color even after long-time exposure to the open air is emphasized. The change in the surface color and luster of the paint due to the natural environment progresses very slowly, and it takes a long time to verify material properties when developing new paints. In order to improve such methods, weathering tests are performed in many laboratories as a test for accelerating aging of coating, and the lifetime of the products is estimated through evaluation of the weathering (environment-proof) quality of paints. However, not a great deal of research activity has been conducted up to the present time since the interrelationship between the actual results of testing and field data is different for each paint and it takes a long time to study relevant materials. Therefore, introduced in the present study is the estimation of the change in the quality of appearance of coating in the field through the accelerated aging test among the cases of improvement of the quality of appearance of the urethane paint for heavy construction equipment.

The purpose of this study is to investigate if self-esteem mediates the effects of conflict with parents, peer relationship and school adaptation in relation to the satisfaction with life of adolescents in multicultural families. The subjects of the present study are 152 adolescents of multicultural families ranging from 12-16 years of age from the cities of Seoul, and Daegu, and the provinces of Gyeong-gi, and Gyeong-buk, South Korea. The measured constructs are Conflict with Parents, Friendship, School Adaption, Self- Esteem and Satisfaction with Life Scale. The dates were analyzed using path analysis. The major results of this study demonstrate that self-esteem does not mediate the effects of conflict with parents and peer relationship in relation to the satisfaction with life of adolescents in multicultural families. However, self-esteem does mediate the effects of school adaptation in relation to the satisfaction with life of adolescents in multicultural families.

Recently, construction of the reinforced earth structures, which adopts reinforcing materials of geosynthetic, is rapidly increasing due to its good economic advantages, beautiful appearance, and convenient construction. Nonetheless, the most important factor of interpretation and design of the reinforced earth structures, which is assessment ways of friction features between earth and geosynthetic, has not been standardized yet. It has great difference of interpretation and design methods which suggested to the design engineer. This study is to present the way how to assess more reasonably friction features between geogrid and weathered granite soil through the pullout test. Based on a large-scale pullout test of geogrid, the maximum shear stress, interface fricton angle, and friction efficiency are presented with consideration of various test condition.

A beautiful, flexible active-matrix electrophoretic display (AM-EPD) device is reported. The flexible AM-EPD device has a $40.0{\times}30.0\;mm^2$ display area, measures about 0.27 mm in thickness, weighs about 0.45 g and possesses only 20 external connections. The flexible AM-EPD device displays clear black-and-white images with 5 gray-scales on $160{\times}120$ pixels. The display is free from residual image problems, because we use an area-gray-scale method on $320{\times}240$ EPD elements, each of which is driven with binary signals. Each pixel consists of 4 EPD elements. In addition, since the response time of the electrophoretic material is as long as approximately 400 ms and since the display possesses a large number of EPD elements, we have developed a special driving method suitable for changing EPD images comfortably. A complete image is formed on the AM-EPD device, consisting of a reset frame and several, typically 6, image frames.
