구형태 공진기에서의 평면파 산란 공진모드 (Plane Wave Scattering Induced Resonant Modes of Spherical Resonator)

  • Plane wave scattering from a spherical resonator is calculated by solving the combined field integral equation (CFIE) with Rao-Wilton-Glisson (RWG) basis functions and the moment method. The calculations show that magnetic and electric dipoles are found at resonant modes. These characteristics are confirmed by radiation patterns in the far field region. In addition, an analysis of a magnetodielectric sphere is discussed.

  • We study on a terrain contour matching algorithm using Radial Basis Functions(RBFs) for aided inertial navigation system for position fixing aircraft, cruise missiles or re-entry vehicles. The parameter optimization technique is used for updating the parameters describing the characteristics of an area with modified Gaussian least square differential correction algorithm and the step size limitation filter according to the amount of updates. We have applied the algorithm for matching a sampled area with a target area supposed that the area data are available from Radar Terrain Sensor(RTS) and Reference Altitude Sensor(RAS)

A Numerical Method for the Minimum Norm Solution to the First Kind Integral Equations

  • This paper introduces a numerical method approximating the minimum norm solution to the first kind integral equation Kf = g with its kernel satisfying a certain property, where g belongs to the range space of K. Most of the existing expansion methods suffer from choosing a set of basis functions, whereas this method automatically provides an optimal set of basis functions approximating the minimum norm solution of Kf = g. Perturbation results and numerical experiments are also provided to analyze this method.

Eigenvalue Analysis of Double-span Timoshenko Beams by Pseudo spectral Method

  • The pseudo spectral method is applied to the free vibration analysis of double-span Timoshenko beams. The analysis is based on the Chebyshev polynomials. Each section of the double-span beam has its own basis functions, and the continuity conditions at the intermediate support as well as the boundary conditions are treated separately as the constraints of the basis functions. Natural frequencies are provided for different thickness-to-length ratios and for different span ratios, which agree with those of Euler-Bernoulli beams when the thickness-to-length ratio is small but deviate considerably as the thickness-to-length ratio grows larger.

  • In this paper, we perform the time series prediction using the SVM(Support Vector Machine). We make use of two different loss functions and two different kernel functions; i) Quadratic and $\varepsilon$-insensitive loss function are used; ii) GRBF(Gaussian Radial Basis Function) and ERBF(Exponential Radial Basis Function) are used. Mackey-Glass time series are used for prediction. For both cases, we compare the results by the SVM to those by ANN(Artificial Neural Network) and show the better performance by SVM than that by ANN.

  • We present a concept of negative definite functions on a commutative normal hypercomplex system $L_1$(Q, $m$) with basis unity. Negative definite functions were studied in [5] and [4] for commutative groups and semigroups respectively. The definition of such functions on Q is a natural generalization of that defined on a commutative hypergroups.

불완전계수의 선형모형에서 추정가능함수 (Estimable functions of less than full rank linear model)

  • 본 논문은 불완전계수의 모형행렬을 갖는 선형모형에서 추정가능함수를 다루고 있다. 고정효과 모형의 모수들은 일반적으로 추정가능한 모수가 아니므로 추정가능한 모수들의 함수를 구하기 위한 방법으로 완전계수의 인자분해 방법을 제시하고 있다. 완전계수의 인자분해 방법으로 구해진 추정가능함수의 타당성을 확인하기 위한 사영행렬은 불완전계수의 모형행렬을 구성하는 행벡터로 생성되는 벡터공간으로의 사영행렬과 동일함을 보여주고 있다. 완전계수의 인자분해로 추정가능함수를 구하는 방법과 모수들의 선형함수가 추정가능함수인 가의 확인을 위한 사영행렬의 이용에 관해 벡터공간의 관점에서 다루어지고 있다. 또한, 추정가능함수의 기저 구성에 관한 구체적 논의가 행해지고 있다.

  • 본 논문에서는 시간영역 결합적분식 (combined field integral equation, CFIE)을 이용하여 도체로부터 산란되는 전자파 과도응답을 무조건적으로 안정되게 해석할 수 있는 새로운 해법을 제안한다. 이 방법은 기존의 MOT (marching-on in time) 기법을 이용하지 않고, 모멘트법으로 공간 및 시간을 분리하여 시험 내적을 적용한다. 삼차원 임의 형태의 도체 구조를 해석하기 위하여 공간영역의 전개 및 시험함수로서 삼각형 벡터 함수를 사용한다. 시간 영역의 전개함수는 지수 감쇄함수를 라게르 함수에 곱하여 정의되며, 이 함수는 시간영역의 시험함수로도 사용된다. 제안된 방법에 의하여 계산되는 도체로부터의 과도응답은 진동없이 안정되었으며, 주파수 영역의 CFIE로부터 계산된 결과와 잘 일치하였다.
