Let {${\Omega}$, F, P} be a probability space and {$X_n{\mid}n{\geq}1$} be a sequence of random variables defined on it. We study the Hajeck-Renyi-type inequality for p..mixing random variable sequences and obtain the strong law of large numbers by using this inequality. We also consider the strong law of large numbers for weighted sums of ${\tilde{\rho}}$-mixing sequences.

This research is focused on a continuous epidemic model of transmission of Plasmodium vivax malaria with a time delay. The model is represented as a system of ordinary differential equations with delay. There are two equilibria, which are the disease-free state and the endemic equilibrium, depending on the basic reproduction number, $R_0$, which is calculated and decreases with the time delay. Moreover, the disease-free equilibrium is locally asymptotically stable if $R_0<1$. If $R_0>1$, a unique endemic steady state exists and is locally stable. Furthermore, Hopf bifurcation is applied to determine the conditions for periodic solutions.

In this paper, we present some fixed point results for a general class of nonexpansive mappings in the framework of Banach space and also proposed a new iterative scheme for approximating the fixed point of this class of mappings in the frame work of uniformly convex Banach spaces. Furthermore, we establish some basic properties and convergence results for our new class of mappings in uniformly convex Banach spaces. Finally, we present an application to nonlinear integral equation and also, a numerical example to illustrate our main result and then display the efficiency of the proposed algorithm compared to different iterative algorithms in the literature with different choices of parameters and initial guesses. The results obtained in this paper improve, extend and unify some related results in the literature.

경제통계에서 기조적 변동인 추세변동과 순환변동을 살펴보려면 경제통계에서 달력변동을 포함한 계절변동을 적절히 제거하는 계절조정이 필요하다. 계절조정방법으로는 전년동기대비 증감률과 같이 간편한 방식이 있지만 통계작성기관에서는 이동평균 또는 시계열모형을 기반으로 한 X-12-ARIMA 또는 TRAMO-SEATS를 이용하여 계절조정계열을 작성한다. 통계청과 한국은행은 X-12-ARIMA 또는 X-13ARIMA-SEATS에 우리나라 고유의 명절, 공휴일 등을 추가로 보정한 계절조정방법을 만들고 이를 이용하여 우리나라 주요 경제통계의 계절조정계열을 작성, 공표하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 그 동안의 연구를 바탕으로 계절조정의 기본 원리와 우리나라의 계절조정 현황을 정리하고, 월별 산업생산지수(제조업)와 취업자의 계절조정을 통해 계절조정의 주요 쟁점을 정리하였다.

본 논문은 확률적 자료연계 방법의 기본 개념과 이론적 모형을 소개하고, 실제 통계청 데이터를 사용하여 확률적 자료연계가 진행되는 과정과 원리를 보여준다. 먼저 확률적 자료연계와 결정적 자료연계와의 차이를 간단히 알아보고, 확률적 자료연계 방법론의 토대가 되는 Fellegi-Sunter 모형의 기본 구성과 관련된 모수(m-확률, u-확률), 가중치, 매치여부 판정기준에 대해 기술한다. 그리고 통계청 등록센서스와 인구총조사 자료를 이용하여 그 모형을 적용한 자료연계가 이루어지는 구체적인 과정에 대해 설명하고, 이를 통해 얻어진 연계 결과의 정확성을 살펴본다.

For the purpose of building the simulation model on cargo handling capacity of container terminal, we composed a model of container logistics system which has a 4 subsystems ; cargo handling, transportation, storage system and Gate complex system. Several date used in simulation gained through spot research and basic statistic analysis using raw data from January to Jane in 1998. The results of this study are as follows ; First, average available ratio of each subsystem was G/C 50%, Y/T 57.5%, storage system 56%, Gate complex 50%, and there was no subsystem occurring specific bottleneck. Second, comparing the results of simulation to the results of basic statistics, we can verify suitability of this simulation model. Third, Comparing the results of this study to the results of existed study, we were able to confirm a change of BCTOC container logistics system under IMF situation.

Since 1997, when a new educational system that encourages faculties instead of departments in universities is first introduced, students have much more chance to choose and leave their majors than before. As a result, colleges of basic arts and sciences confront with a serious problem since lots of students have left their majors at the colleges. In this paper, we analyze and provide a predictive model for those students in a university using decision trees.

We in this paper study the complete convergence and almost surely convergence for arrays of rowwise pairwise negatively dependent(ND) random variables (r.${\upsilon}$.'s) which are dominated randomly by some random variables and obtain a result dealing with complete convergence of linear processes.

We provide a simple basic method to find bounds for higher order moments of unimodal distributions in terms of lower order moments when the random variable takes value in a given finite real interval. The bounds for moments in terms of the geometric mean of the distribution are also derived. Both continuous and discrete cases are considered. The bounds for the ratio and difference of moments are obtained. The special cases provide refinements of several well-known inequalities, such as Kantorovich inequality and Krasnosel'skii and Krein inequality.
