A method is developed for the separation of the major base flow in a river hydrograph combining the numerical techniques and the empirical methods. The linearized Boussinesq equation and the storage function are used to obtain the base flow recession. The shape of base flow curve made by the recharge of the groundwater table aquifer resulting from rainfall in determined by the Singh and Stall's graphical method, and the continuous from for the curve is approximated by the multiple and polynomial regression. this procedure was successfully tested for the separation of base flow and the establishment of hydrograph in a natural watershed. It was found that the direct numerical method applied to the homogeneous linear second order ordinary differential equation system is not suited to obtain the recession curve, and the case that the loss is generated in the partially penetrating stream can not be solved by the method of this study.

The aim of this study is to evaluate the design table for envelope curve analysis of base isolated buildings, which represent the period of base isolated buildings and the lateral displacement of base isolation devices. For the construction of design table, $V_E$ spectrum, which represents the energy, is developed instead of acceleration of seismic hazard. Based on the seismic coefficient of UBC 97, boundary period $T_G$ and maximum velocity response $V_0$ are proposed considering Korea seismic hazard. Using $T_G$ and $V_0$, finally, $V_E$ spectrum is developed for the four types of soil conditions. Base on the $V_E$ spectrum, design table for envelope curve analysis is also developed for soil types.
The Iwasawa decomposition NAK of the Lie group G = SO0(2, 1) with a left invariant metric produces Riemannian submersions G → N\G, G → A\G, G → K\G, and G → NA\G. For each of these, we calculate the curvature of the base space and the lifting of a simple closed curve to the total space G. Especially in the first case, the base space has a constant curvature 0; the holonomy displacement along a (null-homotopic) simple closed curve in the base space is determined only by the Euclidean area of the region surrounded by the curve.

Embedded piles, which are typically used in Korea, are precast piles inserted into prebored ground with cement paste. Dynamic pile tests tend to underestimate the bearing capacity of embedded piles because of the undeveloped shaft resistance prior to the curing of the cement paste and the insufficient energy transferred after the curing. In this study, a resistance combination method using the base resistance before the cement paste is cured and the shaft resistance after the cement paste is cured is proposed to obtain a combined load-settlement curve from dynamic pile tests. Two pairs of embedded piles with diameters of 600 and 500 mm are installed. Each pair comprises one pile for the dynamic pile test and another pile for the static load test. The shape of the load-settlement curve obtained using the proposed method is similar to that obtained from the static load test. Thus, the resistances evaluated using the proposed method at selected settlements are similar to those obtained from the static load test. This study shows that the resistance combination method may be used effectively in dynamic pile tests to accurately evaluate the bearing capacity of embedded piles.
This paper presents a comprehensive work on determination of yield base shear coefficient and displacement ductility factor of three to eight story actual reinforced concrete buildings, instead of using generic frames. The building data is provided by a walkdown survey in different locations of the pilot areas. Very detailed three dimensional models of the selected buildings are generated by using the data provided in architectural and reinforcement projects. Capacity curves of the buildings are obtained from nonlinear static pushover analyses and each capacity curve is approximated with a bilinear curve. Characteristic points of capacity curve, the yield base shear capacity, the yield displacement and the ultimate displacement capacity, are determined. The calculated values of the yield base shear coefficients and the displacement ductility factors for directions into consideration are compared by those expected values given in different versions of Turkish Seismic Design Code. Although having sufficient lateral strength capacities, the deformation capacities of these typical mid-rise reinforced concrete buildings are found to be considerably low.
In present study, we introduce ruled surfaces whose base curve is the Salkowski curve in Euclidean 3-space and whose generating lines consist of the Frenet vectors of this curve (tangent, principal normal and binormal vectors). Then, we produce regular surfaces from a vector with real coefficients, which is a linear combination of these vectors, and we examine some special cases for these surfaces. Moreover, we present some geometric properties and graphics of all these surfaces.
This research is to investigate the effect of base roughness of footing on characteristics of load-settlement curve. Parametric experiments of small scaled model test were performed with changing the properties of base roughness of model footing; Gluing the vinyl, aluminum, sand paper, sand beneath the model footing surface. The width of model footing and relative density of soil foundation were also changed to investigate their effects on settlement characteristics of footing. The ultimate bearing capacity as well as the initial slope of load-settlement curve obtained from test results were compared with those from limit equilibrium methods proposed by Terzaghi, Hansen and Meyerhof. From test results, it was confirmed that the base roughness affected the failure mechanisms of showing different shapes of slip lines formed beneath the footing.
As the functional test of cornea. The clinical value of keratometric information was important for assessment the curvature of the cornea, the quality of the corneal surface, the stability of the corneal curvature, and the direction of the corneal astigmatism. This study was performed the comparative analysis of male and female of adult on the base curve, power and astigmatism of the Cornea. On the corneal base curve, the male right eye was 7.656 mm in vertical and 7.966 mm in horizontal. But, the male left cornea was 7.714 mm in vertical base curve and 8.026 mm in horizontal base curve. On the other hand, the female right eye cornea was 7.559 mm in vertical base curve and 7.695 mm in horizontal base curve. But, the female left eye cornea was 7.444 mm in vertical base curve and 7.742 mm in horizontal base curve. On the corneal diopter power, the male right eye was 44.063 diopter in vertical and 43.738 diopter in horizontal. But the male left eye was 44.046 diopter in vertical and 42.304 diopter in horizontal. On the other hand, the female right eye was 44.082 diopter in vertical and 43.77 diopter in horizontal. But, the female left eye was 44.347 diopter in vertical and 43.495 diopter in horizontal. According to the corneal astigmatism axis. The male right eye have 89.9% positive for with the - rule astigmatism, and 8.1 % positive for against - the - rule astigmatism. But, he male left eye have 91.89% positive for with - the - rule astigmatism, and 8.11 % positive for against - the - rule astigmatism. On the other hand, The female right eye have 76.92% positive for with - the - rule astigmatism, and 23.08 % positive for against - the - rule astigmatism. But, the female left have 80.76 % positive for with - the - rule astigmatism, and 17.31 % positive for against - the - rule as tigmatism. The diopter power of corneal astigmatism have 25.57% positive for behind 1 diopter, 44.89% positive for 1 diopter, 18.18% positive for 2 diopter, 5.11% positive for 3 diopter and 6.25% positive for over 4 diopter.

In this paper, we propose a new weaving trajectory algorithm for the arc welding of a articulated manipulator. The algorithm uses the theory of Bezier spline. We make a comparison between the conventional algorithms using Catmull-Rom curve and the new algorithms using Bezier spline. The proposed algorithm has been evaluated based on the MATLAB environment in order to illustrate its good performance. Through simulations, the proposed algorithm can result in high-speed and flexible weaving trajectory planning so that it's trajectory cannot penetrate into a base metal compared to the conventional algorithm using Catmull-Rom curve.
