교육의 결과인 학업성취도에 영향을 미치는 변인이 무엇이며, 이러한 변인들이 어느 정도의 교육적 효과를 나타내는지 탐색하는 것은 매우 중요한 연구과제이다. 본 연구는 국가수준 학업성취도 평가의 중요한 축을 이루는 배경변인 연구의 전반적인 특정을 탐색하고, 2004년 학업성취도 평가에서 나타난 배경변인과 수학 학업 성취도 사이의 관계를 분석하였다. 학생 및 학교 배경변인과 수학 학업성취도 사이의 관계 분석에서 나타난 특징을 살펴보고, 그러한 특정을 바탕으로 교육정책적 제언을 하였다.

본 논문에서는 지능형 교통정보 시스템에서 활용할 수 있는 차량의 연관 추적 방법에 관하여 제안한다. 차량의 연관 추적과정에서 발생하는 차량 간 겹침 문제를 해결하기 위하여 위치 평균값과 시공간 연관 정보를 이용한 연관 추적 방법을 제안하였고 배경영상의 신뢰도를 향상시키기 위하여 배경영상 갱신 방법을 제안하였다. 제안한 방법의 성능 평가를 위하여 다양한 위치의 교통 정보 수집 CCTV에서 촬영된 영상을 사용하였고 평균 96% 이상의 추적 성공률을 보였다.

It is very difficult to reduce ambient noise level in the downtown. The best method is to improve the sound amenity of the districts, considering concept of soundscape. This study aims to survey the effect of introducing sound and masking to reduce the background noise level. We carried out the evaluating test for 18 introducing sounds varied S/N ratio(-5, 0, +5) in the city riverside. In these test, subjects evaluated the sound environment with five bipolar adjective scales. It was evaluated that introducing sounds improved the sound environment, and that S/N +5 dB was very appropriate to mask the background noise. But the hearing level was suggested to be S/N 0 dB or less.

In this paper, the Autocoast algorithm is proposed for EOTS to overcome the target occlusion status. Coast mode, one of tracking modes, is to maintain the servo slew rate with the tracking rate right before the loss of track. The Autocoast algorithm makes decision of entering coast mode by the prediction of target occlusion and tries to refind target after the coast time. This algorithm composes of 3 steps, the first step is the prediction process of the occlusion by target-like background, the second one is the check process of the occlusion happened after background intensity variation, and the last one is the process of refinding target. The result of computer simulation, test under laboratory, and real test with EOTS shows the applicability for the automatic video tracking system.

In this paper, we present an algorithm for the detection of illegally parked vehicles based on a combination of some image processing algorithms. A digital camera is fixed in the illegal parking region to capture the video frames. An adaptive Gaussian mixture model (GMM) is used for background subtraction in a complex environment to identify the regions of moving objects in our test video. Stationary objects are detected by using the pixel-level features in time sequences. A stationary vehicle is detected by using the local features of the object, and thus, information about illegally parked vehicles is successfully obtained. An automatic alarm system can be utilized according to the different regulations of different illegal parking regions. The results of this study obtained using a test video sequence of a real-time traffic scene show that the proposed method is effective.

Samsung Superconducting Test Facility (SSTF) will be built at SAIT, Taejeon. The superconducting cables to be used for KSTAR magnets are going to be tested in SSTF. The background magnet in SSTF is needed to simulate harsh magnetic environment for testing short CICC samples as well as full-scale magnets. The main coils can make central magnetic field of up to 8 Tesla and the blip coils can maintain fast ramping rate of 20T/s. The cancellation coils reduce the disturbance of main coils due to blip coils. The magnetic field distribution of these coils has been obtained with finite element method as well as the direct integration method.

The verified results of this study on the selected study assignments are as follows: Brand awareness of the western-style family restaurants in both study assignment One and Two is examined by showing and comparing the restaurants ranked from first to third. The ranking is based on the survey response rate only. And the familiarity of family restaurants' logos is investigated by statistical techniques such as T-test Anova, Duncan's Multiple Range Test, etc. Firstly, the analytical result of study assignment One shows that the brand awareness of the family restaurants can vary depending on how often customers use the restaurants. Secondly, the analytical result of study assignment Two shows that the familiarity and the preference of the restaurants ranked from first to third are identical each other depending on customers' sex, marital status, and income. Besides, the result shows that the brand awareness shows different rankings depending on customers' age, educational background, and occupation. Thirdly, the analytical result of study assignment Three indicates that the familiarity is different depending on customers' age, educational background, occupation, and annual income.

In this work the AC loss measurement setup based on an iron core background magnet, not used in a conventional one, has been successfully developed, To prove its validity, a round-robin test for the same Bi-2223 tape sample among three institutes has been done. The results show that test data from the developed setup well agree with losses measured at different institutes.

The background and the existing problems in teaching of mathematics application were analyzed. Based on the mathematics knowledge which from the simple application, complicate application, and synthetically application to the mathematics modeling, the ability level test questions of mathematics application was worded out to help the teaching and learning in mathematics application.
